He only heard a faint bump when he should have heard something a lot louder. Merlin's fears from the previous day came true as he sat there in bed trying to process it. The ringing had gone, but he still couldn't hear anything. OR Merlin gets injured in a fight and is rendered temporarily deaf. He doesn't want Arthur to find out, but he does anyway. Angst and hurt/comfort ahead.

The Queen of Camelot cries, gets drunk and visits her criminal father's grave with her husband's close confidant (who is also a lowly servant). Scandalous.

This is a collection of Merlin one shots based on various characters and situations throughout the five series. I hope there is a good mixture of drama, friendship, romance and angsty moments. They will also involve lesser known characters in the collection as well. Some are characters I haven't written about in much detail before, so any comments will be welcome. Enjoy. :)

Yet when he and Emrys meet it is nothing like he had come to expect. It is immediately clear that they are not friends but maybe not enemies either. Sequel to Moment of Chance. Can be read as stand alone.

Merlin is just a simple boy who studied hard enough to get almost a full scholarship to one of the most prestigious colleges in the land. After dealing with his idiotic roommate, all he wanted to do was finish his book. But, with the mess on his side of the room, he resorts to something else. How will Arthur react when he finds his moronic roommate isn't all he appears to be?

Arthur reacts badly to Merlin's revelation and quickly regrets it, but not quick enough. How does one find an all powerful warlock who doesn't believe he deserves to be found?

When Morgana takes the Mage Stone to bring it to Tauren and to offer her help in killing Uther, Merlin follows her. Unfortunately for him, Morgana finds him and Merlin accidentally reveals his magic to her by touching the stone. They have a lot to talk about now. For example, will Merlin be willing to help Morgana kill Arthur's father? - a hint of Merthur; set in the episode 1x12

Arthur has to drag Merlin out of his father's grasp, but what will the after-effects be when one is pushed beyond his limits? When Uther pursues Balinor to Ealdor, he finds Hunith instead, and takes her prisoner, not knowing she is pregnant. He entrusts her imprisonment to his ally King Olaf, but when the other King falls in love instead, Uther is not pleased. But destiny is a fickle thing... Royal!Merlin, FemMerlin! Eventual Merlynn/Arthur, but will be slow burn. Rated T for language.

A drabble: a short work of fiction of around one hundred words in length. A Merlin drabble: pure chaos. How many adventures can occur in 100 words? Drabble 305: Arthur faces a guilty conscience as he takes an innocent life to keep the bandits from hurting his friend.

Arthur pretended he hadn't seen that. Or that. Probably that, too.

Arthur believes Agravaine when he says Gaius is the traitor. Merlin argues it but Arthur refuses to see reason. Merlin and Gwaine go in search of him and they find him. They bring him back to Camelot to heal and while Merlin stays at Gaius's side. He does inform Arthur that if Gaius dies due to his negligence to listen that Merlin will never forgive him.
