Chapter 30

AN: Hello all, welcome back. Firstly as always thank you to everyone who reviewed the previous chapter as well as added the story to their favorites and alert list. We are now coming into the final arc of this story The Fourth Shinobi War. Initially this story was going to have more chapters with original content between the cannon arcs but it has been a very long time and I'm ready to wrap this one up. Even with that said I still have some surprises in store so I hope you all are ready for this last ride. Anyway with that said here is the new chapter.

In the time that it had taken them to depart for the Kage Summit Naruto had trained his newfound ability as much as he could and had also undergone a change. His first experience with Bankai had truly staggered him especially as all of the Yin chakra that had been taken from Kurama had been stored inside of Benihime. Upon his first usage of Bankai all of that stored energy had been released and absorbed into his body combining with the Yang chakra that had already been there. This time there had been no pain, instead the power had simply slotted in and he'd felt a sense of completion and accomplishment the likes of which he'd never experienced. At least that had been the case for a few seconds before the power had vanished and he'd passed out.

He had slept in the training grounds for nearly six hours before he finally woke. When he did he found that he had undergone a few changes the most notable being that he was taller going from 5'8 to a solid 6 feet in height. According to the fox he'd gotten taller because all biju have an ability called Size Manipulation and subconsciously he wanted to be taller the infusion of the Yin chakra had allowed him to make his subconscious desire a reality, it was in fact a basic usage of Yin-Yang Manipulation. He'd figured out pretty quickly how to use it and had toyed with his height growing as tall as 6'5" before going back to his regular size, he could not however get smaller nor taller than 6'5". The fox had told him the ability was meant to be used in his Tailed Beast form and that form could grow from his standard height to around 1500 feet which was taller than Gamabunta.

That form was locked behind Bankai and while he'd used it several times he had a time limit which had started at 5 minutes which he'd pushed to 6 which may not seem like a lot but had been hard to do. The old fox had taught him a few other tricks like how to use his chakra cloak which was honestly pretty badass on its own but then he'd gone back into the remnants of the seal, curled up and gone to sleep. He'd asked him why he kept going back in there when he was now free to do as he liked and had been told there was nowhere else that he could sleep and be completely at ease while doing so especially as it would take time for his power to recover sufficiently enough for his liking.

The day prior to their departure he'd had to go to the hospital for his final check-up with Shizune. She had given him a clean bill of health, but both had been surprised to learn that the theoretical hidden Kekki Genkai they had learned about a few years back had emerged. While it had not awoken or even active it had come no longer hidden. The surprising thing was that after analyzing the gene sequence they determined that it wasn't a Kekki Genkai, but something more. According to Tsunade a Kekki Genkai, like say Mokuton was displayed by a marking on the 23rd chromosome of a DNA sequence.

All Kekki Genkai whether it was doujutsu, elemental or a body enhancement were marked on the 23rd chromosome. What had surprised Shizune, and his grandmother was that he had not just one marking but three, the first instance of it that the village had on record. While they were both interested in that from a medical perspective he honestly didn't care too much and figured he'd deal with it if anything ever came up about it. Of course if any one of them ever found out how that change had occurred they'd be stunned for more reasons than one.

Regardless that had been a few days ago. Now he was traveling alongside his grandmother and Yamato towards the Gokage Summit. The journey to Tetsu no Kuni was a long one and did a lot to explain how they had maintained complete neutrality in shinobi affairs, the place was out of the way. The country of samurai sat on the edge of the map behind Tsuchi no Kuni which meant they'd needed to travel through several of the minor countries to reach their destination. Despite this he understood why the country was chosen to host the Summit as it was the only place that was actually truly neutral, and the Kage were naturally untrusting of their contemporaries. Still he found he didn't mind that it was a long trip, it allowed him to spend time with his grandmother outside of the office.

Tetsu no Kuni was covered in snow though thankfully it was not actively snowing. Upon their arrival to the location that the summit was being held in they were greeted by a line of samurai including the countries military leader, Mifune. The samurai wore segmented plate armor that covers the shoulders, chest, stomach, lower back, upper back, lower sides, and thighs. They also wear gauntlets, shin guards, and helmets a few of which had a pair of horns on them. All of them carried at least two swords on their person while the horned samurai carried four. Mifune himself stood out with his long grey hair, which almost reaches down to his waist, with bandages wrapped around his head. He has black eyes with distinct wrinkles underneath them, a grey goatee and moustache and wore a purple kimono-like outfit and sandals and carried only a single sword.

After the formal greetings were exchanged they were led inside to the meeting room. The meeting place itself was pretty much a fortress with samurai stationed throughout it and the meeting room seemed to be the centerpiece. They were soon informed that they were not the first to arrive as already the Tsuchikage, Kazekage and the Mizukage had arrived. The first two were no surprise considering their proximity to Tetsu no Kuni, though the Mizukage beating them was a surprise considering how much further they would have to travel due to the location of Mizu no Kuni.

Upon entering the room he was stunned at the appearance of the Mizukage and had to fight to not react. The Mizukage was a tall, slender woman with fair skin. She has green eyes, and ankle-length, auburn hair with a topknot tied with a dark blue band, with four bangs at the front. Two bangs are short, with one covering her right eye, and two are long, crossing each other on her bust, just below her chin.

She was currently standing speaking with what had to be one of her guards allowing him to get a complete look at her. She wore a long-sleeved, dark blue dress that falls just below the knees. It seems to be closed at the front and is kept open on the front-right side from the waist down. The dress only covers up to the upper part of her arms and the underside of her breasts. Underneath, she wears a mesh armor that covers slightly more of her upper body than her dress. She also wears a skirt in the same color as her dress and, underneath those, mesh leggings reaching down over her knees. She finished the outfit with high-heeled sandals and shin-guards reaching up over her knees.

'Don't stare too hard, she'll notice.' came a familiar voice in his head that had his attention snapping to Gaara, his eyes widening.

'It's a biju perk. We can't read minds or anything, but we can speak to other biju. Just reach out with your thoughts.'

'How did you learn to do this?' questioned Naruto

'Shukaku left a tutorial or sorts for me to learn from. We'll catch up later.'

'Right. Good to see you again Gaara.' Returned Naruto nodding physically an action Gaara returned.

Their short conversation ended just in time as Yamato tapped him and motioned for him to follow. They headed up a short flight of stairs to an overhead area and took seats that were directly behind Tsunade. Also on their level were the guards of the other Kage. For Suna that was Temari and Kankuro, whom he exchanged nods with.

The first of the Tsuchikage's guards he noticed was a large man, with dark eyes and black hair that spikes out at the back from underneath his bandanna-styled hitae-ate. He also has large cheeks, and a plump nose which give him an overall look of constant joviality. He wore a red Iwagakure uniform which has both its sleeves, underneath his flak jacket, and accentuates it with a yellow scarf which he wraps around his neck. Alongside him was a young woman with short, black hair and distinctly pink eyes accentuated by her eyelashes running upwards at the corners. She wore what he now knew was the standard attire of the Iwa-nin, a red uniform with her right sleeve missing and a lapel over her right leg, the brown Iwagakure flak jacket, fishnet tights and a skirt over them. She also wears regular shinobi sandals and a pair of gloves both of which were brown.

Finally there were the guards of the Mizukage the first of which was a middle-aged man with blue hair styled in a moussed-up manner. His left eye was blue and his right eye was covered with an eye-patch while a talisman hung from each of his ears with the kanji for a humble form of "to hear" (承, shō) written on them twice on each side. He also wore Kiri's standard striped, grey suit over which was a green haori that had white trimmings that stop halfway down and a standard hitae-ate.

His partner was a much younger male around Naruto's age who had short, tufty blue hair, and dark eyes. He also has pointed shark-like teeth, which he knew members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist as well as apprentices share. He wears square framed, black-rimmed glasses connected to what appeared to be ear protectors, a blue pin-striped shirt and camouflage pattern pants. His hitae-ate was worn on chest as what Naruto guessed was the front of his sword holster, the sword itself was large and wrapped in bandages leaving only the double hilt visible from its position propped up in front of him on the banister, it's appearance alone telling him this was the famed Hiramekarei.

The Raikage did not leave them waiting long as he arrived only a few minutes later. Like everyone else he came with just two guards one was a young man with dark eyes and short, blond hair which was parted in the front. He wore the Kumo-nin shinobi standard uniform: a sleeveless, black shirt with a white flak jacket which had only one strap over the left shoulder, a black hitae-ate, black elbow-length armguards, and the red and white Kumogakure shin-guards along with a pair of sandals. The other guard was a fairly tall, dark-skinned man with a slightly bulbous nose, black eyes that usually look bored, and shaggy, white hair which covers his left eye. He wears a high-collared, sleeveless uniform with loose fitting pants, bandages on his wrists and the Kumo flak jacket.

"Place your hats on the table." Said Mifune which the five Kage did placing them right in front of themselves.

"We are here today because the Raikage called this meeting. My name is Mifune, I shall be your moderator. The meeting begins now." Said the samurai leader.

For nearly two minutes the room was silent with each of them waiting for the Raikage to speak before finally Gaara sighed and shook his head.

"I suppose that I'll go first then." Said the Kazekage.

"The make-up of the Five Kage sure has changed. You must be something special to have been made Kazekage at your age. Your father must have taught you but forgot to instill in you manners." Said the Tsuchikage.

"Perhaps but I'm here as Kazekage and he's dead." Said Gaara simply

"Cheeky brat." Stated the Kazekage

"Please stop interrupting Tsuchikage. Please continue Kazekage." Said the Mizukage

"At this point I believe it can be safely said that the Akatsuki has been vastly underestimated. While I was not Kazekage at the time I am aware that a Summit was called two years ago by the Hokage and the threat this group posed was discussed. It is clear whatever measurements if any that were previously in place have failed." Stated Gaara.

"I was not aware that another summit was called" stated the Mizukage frowning.

"That's because your predecessor decided not to show up. Idiot cared too much about that stupid civil war he started. Purging bloodlines, I've never head of anything so stupid in my life." Said the Tsuchikage getting the woman to sit back as she fought back a frown.

"ENOUGH!" exclaimed the Raikage bringing his fist down on the table only to find just about every guard had leapt from the balcony and were in defensive stances around their Kage.

The Kage's hadn't moved and the only guard that hadn't reacted was Naruto standing with his arms crossed shaking his head.

"Jumpy idiots." Said the blond just loud enough for everyone to hear him.

"Humph, the brats grown a lot since the invasion three years ago. Seems you've actually got a good one there Hokage." Said the Tsuchikage

"Indeed, we are here to talk. If the rest of you could refrain from anymore rude displays." Said Mifune who like the Kage's and Naruto hadn't even moved.

It took virtually no time for the guards to return to the balcony after receiving word from their respective Kage. Of course what none outside of Yamato and Tsunade knew was that if the Raikage had taken an aggressive threatening action towards his grandmother Naruto would have killed him in the time it took someone to blink.

"Konoha, Iwa, Suna and Kiri, Akatsuki is made up of missing-nin from your villages! I also know for a fact that there are those here, included former Kage's who have used Akatsuki for your own purposes! I don't trust any of you and only called you here to find out where your loyalties lie!" exclaimed the Raikage.

"What do you mean used Akatsuki?" questioned Gaara eyes narrowed.

"Nobody told you anything, yet you're Kazekage. You used Akatsuki for your invasion three years ago." Said the Raikage with a scoff.

"Enough." Said Tsunade calmly cutting through the room before anyone else could speak.

"We don't have time for you to throw a temper tantrum because Killer Bee gave you the slip." Said Tsunade.

"WHAT!" exclaimed the Raikage only for Tsunade to look at him with bored brown eyes.

"You heard me. You didn't give two shits when the Nibi jinchurriki was taken yet now you've called us all here, it's obvious why." Said Tsunade calmly ignoring the Raikage's glowering

"Two years ago I called a Summit here and warned everyone in attendance about the Akatsuki. Furthermore I warned everyone about the consequences should they succeed in capturing all nine of the biju. As of now they have 7 which means aside from Suna and Konoha no one took the threat seriously."

"7, I thought even with Killer Bee captured that would only be six." Said the Tsuchikage frowning.

"Incorrect. I was captured and Shukaku extracted almost half a year ago, I am only alive because Konoha came to our aid. The Sanbi was also captured nearly two months ago now." Said Gaara causing the man to grit his teeth.

"Okay that's 8 including Killer Bee." Said the Mizukage.

"He wasn't captured. The biju all know when one is captured and sealed. As things stand only the 8 and 9 tails remain outside of Akatsuki's grasp." Said Gaara

"Okay, that's still not so bad. It takes time to train up a new jinchurriki, years in fact." Said the Mizukage.

"True enough, the problem is they are not trying to create jinchurriki. They are trying to resurrect the original biju, the Ten Tails." Said Gaara.

"It get's worse." Said Tsunade bringing the rooms attention to herself.

"Konoha was recently invaded by Akatsuki. While we won the battle that isn't what's important. Pein, the person we thought was Akatsuki's leader was merely a figurehead. The true leader from what Jiraiya was able to learn is believed to be Uchiha Madara." Said Tsunade stunning the room.

"Personally I don't believe it but that is the name Jiraiya was given." Said the Slug Sanin

"As a neutral party I have to say the leader of Akatsuki played his hand well. He read the signs of the times then used the stability and suspicion of your countries to build up his own power then used your general apathy and treatment of the jinchurriki to snatch them away. Furthermore if he truly is Uchiha Madara then he has the ability to control the biju with no need for a jinchurriki. As a consequence he's forced you all to come together like this which is extremely rare. What would you all think of forming an alliance, until the threat of Akatsuki is taken care of." Said Mifune shocking everyone near the end.

"An alliance?" questioned the Raikage frowning.

"It's a good idea. This is clearly a state of emergency, the best course would be to cooperate." Said Gaara.

"To be clear the chain of command should be uniform. We want to avoid any confusion." Said Mifune.

"Then the question is who will have authority over this combined army." Said Onoki.

"As Kage you would all only chose yourselves. As such I'd like you to respect my position as a neutral party and allow more to decide who is best suited for the job." Said Mifune to much silence amongst the room before the five Kage slowly nodded their consent.

"As things stand I believe we can eliminate the Kazekage, Tsuchikage and Mizukage from this position. Your countries have already lost control of your biju, leaving just the Raikage and the Hokage. Raikage you have already assuredly lost one of the biju and the other if they have not been captured has escaped your grasp. This leaves only the Hokage as Konoha still plays host to the Kyubi." Said Mifune causing eyes to focus on Tsunade.

"The Lady Hokage was the one to bring this issue to our attention two years ago. Furthermore the shinobi of Konoha have also been responsible for every death the Akatsuki has seen. I am aware of course that the Kazekage killed Deidara of the Akatsuki, but he was only in the position to because of the aid of Konoha shinobi and the death of Sasori of the Akatsuki was a joint effort between the two villages. On top of this Konoha has also seen to the death of Orochimaru, Hidan, Kakuzu and just recently Pein, all under the direction of the Hokage. So what say you all?"

While the meeting was happening back in Konoha other events were unfolding. Within the hospital Kakashi had finally woken from his coma though he was still weak he was no longer in danger. Being the recipient of a transplanted Sharingan he was no stranger to chakra exhaustion. This time however it was different as he no longer felt the constant drain that accompanied it, mostly because the eye was gone. According to Shizune when he had been pulled from the rubble his body was in the eye had been missing as such he now had two regular eyes as one had had been his fathers.

At least that is what they had thought when he'd first awoken the previous day, however they had been surprised when examining his blood work that he was now showing markers for two different bloodlines both of which were active one of which was a doujutsu. He remembered speaking to his father while he was on the other side his father told him it wasn't his time yet; he'd never truly woke his potential. He had touched his forehead with his fingers and suddenly he'd had a small outline of white chakra surrounding his hands.

"That may explain why you woke up so soon. The Hatake Clan's white chakra is known most for its potency, while there are stronger chakra's even as part of the village the Hatake chakra is nothing to sneeze at." Said Shizune.

This Kakashi knew was true enough, the white chakra was said to be almost five times as potent as normal chakra. While the Senju, Uzumaki and Uchiha chakra's were said to be able to get even stronger he knew now they all descended from the Sage of Six Paths.

"Channel a small amount of chakra to your eyes." Said Shizune thoughtfully

Normally Kakashi would have dismissed such a suggestion especially in his current state but as it was he was just as curious as Shizune was, since his previous blood work didn't show an active doujutsu even with his transplanted Sharingan. Doing as told he channeled a small but steady amount of chakra to his eyes yet even as he did so something told him it wasn't enough. Slowly he increased the amount until he felt something change and his vision suddenly changed just as Shizune gasped.

What he was seeing was a familiar sight of dyed vision however instead of what he saw being dyed red everything took on a whiter hue as if the world was suddenly brighter. Shizune after getting over her surprise had scrambled from his bedside and returned with a small handheld mirror which she held up so he could see himself. He could see why she was surprised as he now beheld two three-tomoe Sharingan eyes, only now his eyes showed the iris as bright white while the pupil and the tomoe were black. Despite having two Sharingan he noted that the chakra drain was much less than when he'd had the transplant eye, enough so that he'd be able to keep the eyes active for far longer. Removing the chakra slowly from his eyes he soon felt and saw the Sharingan fade from his eyes as they returned to their normal appearance.

'This is going to complicate things.' Thought Kakashi tiredly.

There was a lot that was unknown about the Hatake white chakra, mostly because it was rare for someone to awaken it. The person who did usually was soon the Clan Head and there were things that only someone possessing the white chakra could unlock. He knew his dad's chakra saber had been special because it had the white chakra embedded within it during its forging. Still this meant he would need to begin training his eyes as if they were new to see if he picked up any new abilities. Unfortunately he was sure he was soon going to be pulled into some kind of political mess with the Uchiha worse than when Obito first gifted him the eye because of this.

In the underground meeting room beneath the Naka Shrine in the Uchiha District, Uchiha Mikoto could be found sitting as she read over a stone tablet, one that had been passed down her clan for generations. She had been training when one of her comrades had shockingly told her that her Sharingan was different. Hastily she had checked and found that instead of the familiar red iris her Sharingan was now purple, the exact same shade as the Rinnegan. It was only when questioned while she was in their examination room on if she'd done anything different during the last week that she'd gasped as she realized what happened. Having to admit that she'd had sex with Naruto and swallowed his semen had embarrassed the hell out of her, but it was the only thing she'd done different. Thankfully the medic-nin was female and her records were private and were usually sealed away.

Returning to the Uchiha District she had immediately come to the shrine hoping she'd find answers. Already she could see a difference as several of the lines were shown as forgeries as their were differences in the writing and the minute traces of chakra left on the tablet. Turning the tablet over she blinked as she saw nearly completely invisible words on the back that hadn't previously been there on her previous studies of it.

'Should damage occur or the writing fade channel chakra to restore the tablet.' It took her nearly five minutes to make that out, but only because she'd traced the characters with a marker.

Channeling her chakra into the tablet she watched in awe as it really did repair itself, not only growing a bit longer but the old writing was removed, and it quickly rewrote itself. When it stopped she found even what she'd made with her marker was removed and everything was in place as if it was brand new and in the same hand. As she read through the tablet she found her surprise building what had been removed and changed had effected what was known by her clan massively and yet it explained so much, like why a persons vision faded after acquiring the Mangekyo Sharingan.

'This changes everything.' Thought Mikoto in shock especially as so many other things now made so much more sense.

Back at the Summit the meeting place had been completely trashed. Out of nowhere Sasuke and his team had attacked the summit and the Kage's, one of the Mizukage's guards Aoi had quickly called out they were all under a genjutsu apparently the same one that had controlled the Yondaime Mizukage by using the Byakugan under his eye patch. While Yamato, the other guards and a couple of the Kage handled them Naruto had quickly retrieved some seal tags from his storage scroll and hung back after creating a few clones. Eventually he'd seen his opening with the clones appearing behind Sasuke and each member of his team before slapping the tags on their backs. They'd all collapsed like puppets with their strings cut and then before anyone could react Naruto's clones vanished along with them. When questioned he'd told them truthfully that whoever was controlling them was still there.

That's when the masked figure of the Akatsuki appeared calling himself Uchiha Madara. The fox had scoffed, the first indication he was awake before the man would begin speaking about his Eye of the Moon plan which he would use to bring peace for which he only required the Eight and Nine Tailed biju. The fox had quickly clued Naruto into what he was really after and though the Kage had all vehemently refused upon hearing the details Naruto still informed them all of what would really happen if he succeeded. Madara in response declared that this would be the beginning of the Fourth Great Shinobi War before he vanished with into that swirling time-space technique of his.

"It seems this shinobi alliance will be needed after all." Said Gaara.

"He's correct, there is no other way to oppose the power of seven biju. How about it Raikage you were initially against this after all." Said the Mizukage

"Though no harm has come to my brother I refuse to let Akatsuki have it's way." Said the Raikage.

"What say you Lady Hokage, will you take the lead on this?" questioned Mifune.

"I will. If only for the duration of this war. Hopefully it's over quickly." Said Tsunade before turning to Naruto only to find him sighing and shaking his head.

"What's wrong?" questioned Tsunade.

"The fox reached out to the other biju, none of them have enough control of their power to be of help right now. They'll increase their training but right now we are on our own." Said Naruto causing her to sigh.

"What about you, you've attained a complete tailed beast form now." Said Gaara.

"Yeah, but I barely have any practice with it, I can't even hold it for ten minutes yet." Said Naruto

"Look it's obvious they are after you and the Raikage's brother, both of you need to be hidden away." Said the Tsuchikage.

"That won't work for long, especially if he plans to use the might of the tailed beasts as his army." Said Gaara.

"Go to your mother, if anyone can help you its her." Said Tsunade

"Raikage-sama we need to leave. If they are determined to get the Hachibi they will still be after Killer Bee. We need to get to him first." Said one of the Raikage's guards, the blond one.

"What do we do when we find him though, take him to the field with us or hide him away." Questioned the other guard.

"Both." Said Naruto surprising everyone.

"We don't know exactly what that bastard will throw at us. It would be unwise to show everything at once. Killer Bee is also a perfect jinchurriki, he's too powerful to leave out of the fight for its duration. Get an idea of what you're dealing with, then call us in." said Naruto.

"So you'll act as reinforcement." Said the Tsuchikage.

"Exactly that will give me time to train and…son of a bitch!" exclaimed Naruto.

"What's wrong?" questioned Tsunade.

"I sent a disguised clone with Konan to see what she did with Nagato's body. That masked bastard just made off with it!" said Naruto.

"How bad is that?" questioned the Mizukage.

"Nagato was the puppet leader of the Akatsuki and had the Rinnegan. He was so powerful everyone else listened to his commands without question." Said Naruto

"That's just great. Uchiha Madara with the fucking Rinnegan." Said the Tsuchikage.

"That wasn't Madara, his chakra doesn't match. The real Madara is long dead." Said Naruto

"It doesn't matter, real or fake he's still a threat. Let's all return home and get our shit together. We need to not only gather our forces but figure out a battleground that can help all of us." Said Tsunade

With that the Five Kage summit was ended and preparations for the Fourth Great Shinobi War began.

AN: That's it the chapter is over. If you want to see the fight between Sasuke and the Kage either read the manga or watch the anime, the only thing I changed was how it ended. Also as a heads up I'm thinking of pairing Kakashi and Shizune together, even though this story has no Boruto sequel I kind of like that pairing. I don't know if I'm going to have Naruto still go to the turtle island but I'm leaning that way. Anyway thanks for reading and please review. Till next time, LATER.
