Taylor always wanted to be a hero, but she's found there are too many obstacles holding her back. As if her impatience and rebellious nature weren't bad enough, her power provided things like the disposable laser-goose. And there was no way that the PR Department would let that fly. Perhaps she wasn't cut out for the hero life after all?

I think everyone wishes they had powers at one point or another. I bet few people wish they WERE powers. However, thats exactly where I find myself, the power of a broken young girl. Now I just have to help her make some friends and survive this crazy world.

There was never going to be any way for a bug controlling hero to be a cuddly PR-friendly Ward, especially when said hero is an antisocial teen. In which Taylor gets sidetracked by Wikipedia entries on bugs, thugs don't get the counselling that they will desperately need because they're in Brockton Bay, and BB's storm sewers finally get their dues.

Life is a journey, there are ups and there are downs. Taylor figured that after all the downs she'd had, she was due a few ups. Summer has come to Brockton bay and Taylor is ready to enjoy it.
