Chapter 5 Party Time

Lumine's POV

That Night

I walked into the Dawn Winery, which was filled with people attending the party.

"Traveler", I heard a familiar voice call out.

I looked around, and I spotted Amber with Lisa and Kaeya.

"Hi everybody", I greeted as I walked up to them.

"Oh cutie", Lisa started. "That dress makes you look absolutely adorable! Even more so than you usually are."

"Thank you for buying the dress for me, Lisa", I thanked. "I'll make sure to pay you back."

"Nonsense, cutie", Lisa stated. "This is a gift. You don't pay people back for a gift."

"Okay then", I said.

"So", Kaeya started, changing the subject. "Amber tells me Eula gave you some dance training?"

"Yeah", I confirmed. "And it was brutal. My feet are still sore."

When I said these words, Eula walked up to me with a pout on her face.

"Nonsense", she stated. "If anything, I was going easy on you."

"That was going easy", Paimon asked in shock.

"Yes", Eula replied. "When members of the Lawrence Clan would practice their dancing skills, they would do so until their toes bled!"

"Yikes", Paimon exclaimed. "That seems like much just to learn how to dance!"

"Well then", Kaeya started, once again changing the subject. "Let's see if that rigorous training has payed off."

With that…Kaeya held out his hand to me.

"Traveler", he started. "May I have the honor of a dance?"

"You dance", Paimon asked in shock.

"But of course", Kaeya replied. "After all, I've been to a few of these kinds of parties."

After Kaeya said this, he looked back at me.

"So", he started. "What do you say?"

"Sure", I replied. "I'll dance with you."

With that, I took Kaeya's hand and he led me to the dance floor.

As we were dancing, the memory of me dancing with Aether once again came to mind.

"You look sad all of the sudden", Kaeya said. "Is my dancing really that terrible?"

"No", I replied. "Not at all! It's just…I danced like this once with my brother."

"You must really miss him", Kaeya stated.

"I do", I replied.

"Come now", Kaeya started. "This is a party! No time to be sad!"

"Okay", I said.

Then, Kaeya and I finished our dance.

After we did, I heard clapping behind me.

I turned around, and saw Diluc.

"I didn't know you could dance, traveler", he said. "Well done."

"Thank you", I said.

"Hey Master Diluc", Paimon greeted as she raced up to us. "Thanks for inviting us to your party!"

"Thank you for coming", Diluc said.

Then, he summoned a waiter, and passed both Paimon and I cups which I assumed contained grape juice.

"Please enjoy the party", Diluc said.

"Thank you", I said.

Paimon didn't say anything, as she was too busy chugging her grape juice down.

I simply giggled at the sight.

Then…everybody at the party suddenly became really quiet.

Why? Because somebody suddenly walked down the stairs.
