Chapter 3 - Taking the queen's place and opening a new side.

Evacuation Center, Private Briefing Room – 7:13 pm

Inside the room, Kanade and several support operators doing their business as usual, but they have to stop when the large holographic screen appeared right in front of them, accompanied by a loud ringing that echoes around the room, she slowly looked at one of the male operators and nodded, prompting him to answer the call for her.

Kanade fixed herself as she glued her eyes to the screen, showing a blonde man in his 40s, waiting for what she wanted to say about their emergency mission and more details about the Chaos Legion incident.

"Welcome President Orion." She rubbed her chin when she saw the beach background "Say, are you taking a vacation of all times?"

"After dealing with this kind of incident gave me a headache, I needed to refresh my mind, thus I requested a two-day vacation." Orion sighed "Anyway, what is the status of the mission, Commander Kanade?"

"Successful, thanks to our organization's efforts, everyone managed to evacuate in this school without any confirmed casualties, however, there are still injured during the chaos and our medical team does everything they can to treat them with care." Kanade explained.

"What about the Chaos Legion? Did they take that item from this academy?" He asked again.

"From what I've heard, one of our recruits, Chris Yukine, had fought with one of their members, and while she lost the fight, she managed to buy more time for us to arrive and this forced them to escape without taking anything."

"Guess entrusting the item to Destiny Academy is a bad idea, especially after we learn that one of the Chaos Legion members disguised themselves to learn where we hide it."

"I should keep the item, for now, Mr. President, as long as they're in our hands, the Chaos Legion won't be messing around because this organization has a veteran in their league." Kanade rolled down her right sleeve and showed the silver bracelet.

"Kanade, are you sure that plan of yours will work? Keep in mind that you'll be the one who will take responsibility if this one fails, and it's a part of our contract." Orion said.

"No worries, we will crack it before these guys do," Kanade assured him with optimism.

"Good, I'll be looking forward to this, wish you the best of luck." The President ended the call, allowing Kanade to finally sit down on her chair, let out a relieved sigh, and take a little break, she moved her head to the left and saw Elfnein holding a tablet.

"Hm? Is there something you wanted to say?"

"The mysterious items aside, I have some news for you. You have to look at this, Commander."

She gets up and approaches the young alchemist with raised eyebrows, Elfnein puts on her usual serious expression and hands the woman her tablet, which she takes from her hands and looks at the screen, it shows the news report about the recent Noise attack.

Kanade quickly scrolls down and sees a live video of Chaos Legion members getting knocked out for unknown reasons, she zooms one of the pictures in and she can see Millia standing in the middle of the chaos.

She saw the camera and showed something in her hand, Kanade zoomed in to check whatever this Filipina was holding.

The Commander gasped when the object she was holding was none other than a broken fragment of the relic, she turned her head to face Elfnein with a neutral expression.

"Don't tell me that's-"

"Exactly, it's a Symphogear relic, a broken half to be exact, we're already sending our forces to pick her up, once she arrives in the base, I'll start examining the relic and check if it's the fragment of the relic belonged to one of the former wielders." Elfnein doesn't need to know what she's gonna do and explain.

Kanade grinned as she used to in the past "It's been 2 years since that incident, there are still several relic fragments scattered somewhere around the world." She said as she placed her free hand on her hips.

"And it's our main priority to find relics and observe them, then we can decide what to do with the relics." Every time she brings this up, Elfnein often remembers ROCK's main priorities.

"Now this is getting me pumped out." Kanade cracked both of her knuckles "Let's show these guys who's the boss."

Evacuation Center, Private Medical Room – 7:17 pm

"Chrissy!/Chris!" Damie and Rika yelled at her name as they entered the medical room designed to treat ROCK members with medical care, many of the staff noticed their presence but they ignored it as they already identified them earlier.

After being informed by Elfnein that Chris had to get medical attention after receiving several injuries, they immediately headed to where she was taken to after clearing all the Noise inside the academy and cleaning the mess.

When they entered the room, they could see Chris lying on the bed, covered in bandages and she was still conscious despite the injuries she received earlier, both let out a sigh of relief as they approached her.

Chris slowly turned her head and shot a thumbs up using her uninjured hand.

"You fricks think I'm gonna die? Look, I'm still alive BUT I pretty much needed rest right now, especially since that fight just gave me more damage than I could expect, shit still hurts even now." Chris tells them about her current condition.

"Let me tell you about your fight with that lady, you just bam bam and pow pow that son of a bitch, guess those training just helps you when you yeet her through the window despite those injuries." This made Chris chuckle when Damie described her fight with Crisis.

"What do you expect from me, Damie? Of course, I trained my body for this situation but again, it still hurts…" She winced from the pain "Guess I needed to rest until I'm fully recovered."

"Don't worry, those injuries won't be a problem, it can be easily treated with advanced medicine, even if the injuries are severe." Rika said with a cheerful tone.

"As someone who got nasty injuries more than a few times, I would agree with ya." Damie nodded her head and crossed her arms.

"Yeah, you already told me that, Damie, but mine's got worse." Chris looked away from them and stared at the ceiling "Got thrown off through concrete twice, several injuries when engaging in close-quarters combat with only my guns, list goes on."

"Speaking of that, we were able to capture what you two did outside the academy, and we even heard the enemy's last words before she left the academy. It looks like you have a perfect rival." Damie's tone is both friendly and serious at the same time.

"Right." Chris clenched her right fist "Not gonna lie, she's much stronger than you thought, I was barely able to block most of her attacks."

"And she nearly broke your right arm, am I right?"

Chris silently nods her head and shows them her slightly broken arm, now covered in bandages, Damie carefully holds both of her hands so as to not give her more pain, and gently massages around her arm.

"You ain't getting up until 4 days, that's what Elfnein told us earlier, guess you'll miss out the training." The American announced to her friend "If you don't want to miss out then I can ask Kanade to postpone the training."

"Go ahead, you need to get used to the shit I already got used to, I'm a former SONG member after all." Chris assured me.

Since it was her decision, Damie had no other choice but to accept the condition, even though there are things she wanted to learn more "Sure, but we'll keep an eye out on ya in my free time, can't leave a bestie behind when they're hospitalized." She said as she raised her index finger.

"I'm fine Damie, c'mon, those injuries are not THAT painful compared to my recent fight- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL?!" Chris screamed in pain and immediately turned to look at Rika, who gently held on her broken arm but the pain got even worse for the injured girl.

" .HURTS!"

"See? You should have listened to Damie, besides you can't even try to punch me if I ever tease you." She gave up once she realized that Rika was right.

Leaving with no options to deal with her, Chris gave up "Fine…" She sighed "Just keep the promise, okay?"

"No worries! We'll keep this in mind." Rika happily assures the lavender-haired girl.

Suddenly, Damie's phone started to ring, interrupting their conversation, the American pulled out the phone from the right pocket and checked who called her. She sighed and answered the call before putting the device on her right ear.

"This is Damie Miller speaking."

"Damie-san, I have news to tell you three today." Elfnein said from the other side of the phone "Before I'll tell you this, can you please let me borrow Chris-san and Rika-san's bracelet for a while?" The American looked over Chris' bracelet, then her own best friend, who seemed to be fine with what Elfnein asked for.

Damie slowly and carefully took the bracelet away from Chris, and put her phone on her ear again and continued where she left off.

"Got what ya ask for." She tries her best to keep calm and listen to the call.

"Good, give them to me when you arrive at the headquarters, if I'm not here nearby then head to the research room and place the bracelets inside two special boxes I placed on the table, do you understand?"

"Yes Ma'am, I understand." Damie nodded

"Since you don't have any additional questions to ask, let's proceed with the news report." Elfnein cleared her throat before she continued, still remaining serious as usual "I suppose, you have the basic knowledge about the Symphogear system, right?"

"Yep, this Symphogear you refer to, it's the armor that is capable of defeating the Noise using the power of a song, at least that's what Chrissy told me because we were too focused on other stuff earlier." Damie explained as she walked back and forth.

"You are correct, this is exactly what I was going to tell you, we managed to find a broken half of the Symphogear relic Millia had found during the attack at Destiny Academy." Chris heard what the young alchemist said and raised her hand, prompting Damie to give her the phone.

Chris puts the phone on her ear "Do you know where it belongs to?" She asked.

"Not yet, I will try to identify the relic once it's delivered to the headquarters. For now, you will use this weapon system until further notice." Elfnein replied "Now I'm done with the first report, I'll proceed with the second report."

"Due to Destiny Academy having a number of collateral damages from the recent attack, classes will be suspended for a month." The students widened their eyes and gasp in unison "While waiting for the classes to continue, I suggest you should either train or prepare yourself if you have free time."

"Geez, this is why I hate when Noise attacks any of the schools I attended, it's like the school is a literal Noise magnet or something like that." Rika complains at her frustrations.

"We have no choice because this is the reality we have to face, fighting back is our only chance to stop these attacks." Chris explained, which the Tachibana couldn't help but to agree with what she said.

"She's right, if we want to save everyone, we must fight back no matter what, we cannot let SONG's efforts go to waste after all these years." Elfnein also agreed "Do you have any complainants, Rika-san?"

"N-Not at all…" She nervously said.

"Good, I hope you understand the situation." Elfnein exhaled and quietly asked the trio"I suppose you three don't have any other questions or complaints."

"We don't!" All of them said in unison.

"Good, that's all the announcements for today, thank you for listening and have a great day you three. This is ROCK's special researcher, Elfnein, signing out." After finishing her sentence, Elfnein ended the call, Chris immediately gave the phone back to Damie.

Rika let out a sigh of relief and began stretching up her body "Say, will you go to the training room with me?" She asked Damie.

"You go first, I'm going to the shooting range, because I'm in the mood to use my new bought collection of guns." Hearing what Damie said about guns led Chris to secretly glare at her with a smile that only shows anger rather than happiness.

This girl is none too happy for her.

While Damie was too busy talking with Rika, Chris slowly pulled out her handmade paper fan from under her bed and tapped Damie's shoulder, the black-haired girl turned around and before she knew it, Chris angrily shouted at the top of her lungs…

"DAMIE, . !"

ROCK Headquarters, Control Center - 7:43 pm

"So…That explains why you look like you just got hit by your lover." Kanade comments at Damie's slap mark on her face.

"Yep, a slap in the face and a hard hit from a paper fan, still fucking hurts…" Damie winced after a slight touch on both of her minor injuries "I should've known that those paper fans deal so much damage as the leather belt."

Kanade giggled at Damie's current situation "Asian household weapons are the most painful things to ever exist on the planet, they can be everywhere, Damie." She told Damie about random facts.

"Dude…Are we gonna proceed with the serious stuff or you're just gonna make fun of me?" Damie asked.

"Alright, alright, let's get to the important part." Kanade scratched her head and cleared her throat "I guess you heard the kid's news earlier, classes suspended and the piece of a Symphogear relic has been retrieved. Well, there is another report I just received from one of the informants today." She hands her a yellow file, which Damie takes.

"Let's see…" She opened the file and began reading the contents "An illegal trade between the Mafia and the Chaos Legion will take place at the Tyler Docks, around 10 pm on Sunday." She gasped and looked at Kanade with a shocked expression "I swear to god, did you read the police records about me?!"

"That is correct, you just exposed many crimes unintentionally before you even get Chris involved with your shenanigans." Kanade puts a smirk while explaining "It's the main reason why I picked you."

"Geez, I wonder how the heck did you get my police records?" Damie continued reading the file "100 dudes will come here, just as I expected from the place where a bunch of criminal groups gathered here. Oh boy, this is gonna be tough for me to handle alone, gotta need some buddies to stick along."

"Don't worry, I will have Carlson and James tag along with your mission." Kanade assures her "Is this enough for you to accept the request, Damie?"

It took a couple seconds for Damie to give out the final answer, she took her eyes off Kanade and cleared her throat before facing her again "I'm in." She simply replied as she cracked her knuckles.

"Good, but as what the file said, you will wait for a few days to begin your mission. Luckily for you, Elfnein has already started building the weapon just for you and it will be ready within 3 days." The Commander leaned back on the chair "Any questions or other requests?"

"Nope." Damie shook her head, she wanted to keep the questions until it was the right time to say.

"Then, that's all for today, you are free to leave." Kanade stood up from her seat and stretched out her arms, letting out a long yawn. Then, they heard a hissing noise coming from behind, both turned around and saw Elfnein walking towards Damie with a holographic clipboard in hand.

Damie raised her eyebrows and looked at Elfnein in person "You got somethin' from me?" She asked, which the younger girl answered "Before you leave, I want you to take this." Elfnein pulled out something from under her jacket.

"Huh?" The researcher never said a word and gave a small box with glowing red outlines to Damie "Please, give this to Chris-san."

"Got it!" Damie saluted and slid the box inside her jacket's pockets.

After a few seconds, Elfnein looked at the clipboard "I'll be making preparations, take some time to warm up or wander around until I call you. See you in the training room, Damie." She turned around and walked as the metallic doors slid open in front of her, but before she could leave, Kanade slowly followed her.

"If you don't mind, I should let the newbie learn more about how our Armed Weapon System works." Kanade grinned and crossed her arms, she seemed to be looking for something more...thrilling.

"Not if you get sudden reports from the higher ups, but since you've been working very hard without taking a short break for a while, I should let it slide for once." Elfnein agreed.

"Yes! Thank you kid, I'll be heading right away!" She raised a fist with a huge smile and quickly ran off just as the other two were about to stop her.

Sighing at her sudden change of attitude, Damie stared at Elfnein "Why does she always like this everytime?" She asked "Because Kanade-san tends to get bored most of the time because of her position, she always looks out for more exciting activities like training outside and a little joyride. Though, Mr. President asked me to keep an eye out for her at all times." Elfnein explained.

"But a little fun won't at least hurt right?"

"That depends on the situation." Elfnein adjusted her coat as she prepared to head to the training room "We shouldn't keep her waiting, shall we go?"

"Hell yeah!" Damie joined her.

And with that, the pair quickly left the control center.

ROCK Headquarters, Training Room – 7:56 pm

The headquarters won't be complete without the good ol' training room, one of the places Kanade would always go during her time as an active Symphogear user. The room's floors and walls were colored silver and a large orb was fitted in the middle of the ceiling.

She had been practicing with the spear resembling her old Armed Gear for a while, spinning, swinging, and thrusting while waiting for Damie to enter the room. She then pointed her spear at the target dummy and two rocket thrusters opened on both sides of her weapon.

As the thrusters combusts, Kanade holds her spear in reverse-grip and lets out a loud roar before throwing it at the dummy with enough strength to make it a high velocity projectile. When the weapon made contact, it destroyed the upper body and the spear was pinned into the ground.

Hearing a whistle from behind, Kanade turned around, she saw Damie was already there, watching her train with curiosity and amazement this entire time "That' .COOL!" She clapped her hands as a sign of compliment.

"I'm happy to hear that." Kanade goes to pick up her spear "So, are you ready to start the training?" After picking it up, she rested her weapon on her shoulder.

"Thought you never asked." Damie pulled out a Glock 17 from her bag and started loading the gun "Our training involves surviving against a group of robotic dummies for 10 minutes while avoiding a drone that was going to follow us every move."

"Too easy, we can handle it as long as we stick together and cooperate."

"It will be endless, so be prepared."

The pair heard something from the built-in speakers and they looked around the source. It was when someone began to say "Attention you two, this is Elfnein speaking, I'm finally done with the preparations and by the looks of it, I assume you're ready for the training." Both Damie and Kanade gave her a thumbs up.

"Alright, stand still, we'll start the training now. All you have to do is to treat it like it's a real battle."

The orb glows blue as the empty room suddenly shifts to a familiar place, a destroyed bus in an upside down position, flames scattered around the crash site as the group of faceless dummies appeared in front of the pair, Damie narrowed her eyes and aimed her pistol at their heads.

"It's either screwing with them or getting screwed." Damie says.

"Ready or not, it's showtime!" Kanade grinned and began smashing the dummies with her spear, if only in an aggressive yet very confident manner.

Damie set her Glock to semi-automatic mode and shot them by the head, one by one, turning them into dust when they got shot by a simple firearm, it was too easy for someone who knows how to handle guns.

A team of dummies was heading towards the pair in one direction, Damie opened her jacket and took out a hand grenade from under her jacket, Kanade quickly noticed what she was doing "Let me clear the path first, then you can throw the grenade!" She creates a small tornado from her weapon and unleashes it towards another group of them that guarded one of the alleyways.

Knowing they would be cornered if they stayed too long, Damie knew what to do "Take cover!" She pulled the grenade pin and threw it at the group, which happens to be the same group Kanade was dealing with.

The Commander saw the grenade just in the nick of time and used her spear to block out the explosion, she had underestimated how much force a grenade could deal as she is sent flying into the air, then crashing into a nearby wall.

"No, no, no, no, fuck! I don't mean using your large spear as a cover!" Damie quickly panicked and rushed to her aid.

"Should've known." Kanade stands up on her own and dusts her clothes.

"Just don't die from a grenade when you're in a real battle." Damie said while loading a fresh clip in her pistol "We got no time to waste, we've got company!" And shot another dummy that was about to attack her by surprise.

The pair felt a strong gust of wind blowing them from behind, they turned around and to their shock, it's a large robot resembling a camera drone that most stable people owned nowadays, a small but deadly machine gun was fitted into the bottom part of the drone.

Spotting Damie and Kanade via a single camera, the drone raised the machine gun and was preparing to fire, they immediately headed to the alleyway and started running away.

"SHIT! I didn't expect this thing would be large and has a fuckin' machine gun!" Damie shouted.

Looking back while running, Kanade saw the drone was indeed following them, she thought quickly and had an idea "Are there any routes that you passed by back when you three were chased by the new Noise variant?" She asked, remembering what Carlson reported to her yesterday.

The American responds by dragging Kanade from the drone's view upon reaching a certain spot, she goes for the manhole cover and opens, the latter sees what she is doing and approaches Damie despite not exactly sure if she could trust her.

"Please no, I remember being stuck inside the sewers for almost an entire day because I didn't figure a way out." Kanade said with a disgusted tone.

"Listen, you go to the sewers or risk being followed by a drone without even knowing." Damie said as she went inside "Oh god, there's the big guy already."

Before Kanade could react, Damie dragged her in without hesitation on time before the drone began shooting at the pair with the machine gun, only for Damie to close the manhole.

Upon entering inside the sewers, Damie pulled out a flashlight attachment on her Glock, and turned it on, allowing them to see in the dark sewers. Its putrid smell coming from the stream of wastewater made the Commander want to throw up, even if it's a simulation.

"Ugh…are you bothered with the smell?"

"You'll get used to the smell, if you often visit the underground places." Damie noticed Kanade's surprised expression "Never visited an underground station before?"

"The only underground places I always go…aren't located in the nasty sewers!" Kanade exclaimed.

Damie laughed lightly, "That's what Chrissy said to me when she visited the sewers for the first time." She then pointed the light at the dry path "Come on, we'll be outta here in no time."

Kanade was left with no choice but to follow Damie just so she can get out of these sewers.

Minutes later…

After minutes of wandering the sewers and Kanade enduring the smell, the pair finally climbs back at the open area, leading her to an empty street, Kanade was the first to come out before Damie. They wanted to take a little break from all the walking but they were quickly greeted by the drone coming from one of the alleyways.

"FUCK! RUUUUUUUN!" Damie never wasted her time running.

"Let me take care of-" Kanade saw the drone preparing to fire, forcing her to deflect the bullets by spinning her spear at rapid pace but its fire power left her struggling to keep up with the drone's attacks.

Damie stopped her tracks and took out another grenade, she pulled the pin before throwing the explosive at the drone with enough strength to quickly reach her target, she then aimed her pistol and waited for a perfect time to shoot.

Because it was too busy dealing with Kanade, the drone failed to notice a grenade being thrown at them and even if they did take a look at their surroundings, it was too late. The grenade exploded at the last second, causing the vision to be disabled temporarily.

Taking this as an opportunity, Kanade rushes at the drone and jumps from the ground, she raises her weapon and lets out a roar before performing a downward slash at the robot.

Unfortunately, she was pushed away by some mysterious force and ended up crashing directly into the nearby building.

"Kanade!" Damie goes through the pile of smoke that was created from the crash in order to find her.

"I'm here!" Kanade raised her hand after recovering from the drone's attack "Hey, Elfnein! What did you modify in our training, especially with the drone you sent to chase us!"

"I modified the drone to prevent anyone from destroying it by adding a self-defense system, forcefully pushing any nearby enemy away from them. The system will always be active regardless of the damage it has inflicted."

"Then, that means…"

"This drone was designed to be avoided rather than being destroyed, so you have to avoid them at all costs no matter what." Kanade could swear, she can sense the young alchemist smirking "Anyway, I have other things to prepare, so keep your guard up and survive together."

"Hey, I'm not done talking!" Kanade then spotted an Alca-Noise charging at her and she simply smacked it with her spear, after a few seconds of processing her mind, she soon realized who she's dealing with and widened her eyes "Noise…SHIT! Damie, get away-" She gasped upon seeing Damie being cornered by a group of Alca-Noise.

Charging at the group, Kanade goes to attack the Alca-Noise that tried to get closer to Damie first before engaging the remaining group.

She gasped upon seeing Damie's current state after her personal encounter with the Noise, she was trembling and every piece of her confidence shattered like glass, prompting Kanade to rush at Damie and check on her.

"H-Hey…Are you okay?" Kanade tries her best to calm Damie down.

"No…Stay away…" Damie's voice was shaky "I don't want to die…"

"Goddammit!" Kanade cursed and she had no choice but to carry Damie in piggyback style and run away as long as she could before the drone started recovering from the temporary damage it received.

Heading inside the alleyway, Kanade smashed her way through a large group of Alca-Noise coming in her way, while protecting Damie at the same time as she wasn't able to take them down by herself. That and combined with protecting themselves only allow the drone to get closer.

What should I do? Even if I clear out the group, the drone will be close enough to attack us with the huge machine gun…

Snapping back to reality, Kanade smashed a nearby Alca-Noise in front of her and turned around, she saw the drone started firing their gun at them again and threw Damie away from the robot's line of fire before spinning her spear to deflect all the bullets.

Luckily, the drone's continuous firing led their machine gun to overheat, forcing it to wait till the gun fully cools down. Of course, Kanade won't give this robot a big break and throws her spear directly at the drone.

The spear successfully landed at its target, this resulted in her weapon ending up being lodged into the one of the small propellers, causing the drone to struggle to keep them in the air as they spin uncontrollably.

Kanade smirked and placed her hand on her hip "So, Elfnein never mentioned that the self-defense system will activate long distances, then…" She snapped her fingers and the spear disappeared into hexagonal pieces along with a small orb "Let's see who will get here first!"

As the pieces go back to Kanade and start to reform, the drone still has enough time to know what Kanade is doing and tries rushing at her in a last ditch attempt to take her down.

It was too late, the spear was already reformed and Kanade stepped forward, letting out a loud roar as she threw her spear directly at the drone before it could reach enough distance to activate the self-defense system.

As a result, the spear manages to break the drone in half and its power core.

"Heck yeah!" Kanade raised her fist in victory "Is that what you got?

"Are you forgetting something, Kanade-san?" Elfnein spoke again, reminding Kanade about one thing.

Hearing this, Kanade slowly turned to where she threw Damie, only to find that she wasn't nearby, which led her to panic and quickly run off to find Damie.

Somewhere…

Because the Alca-Noise nearly cornered her while Kanade's dealing with the drone, Damie is forced to run away in fear while constantly being chased by the Alca-Noise, even though these variants can be killed by conventional, man-made weapons.

Unfortunately, she ended up getting tripped when one of the creatures hit her foot, causing her to roll down a couple meters and crash into a nearby wall, leaving her lying on the floor.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuck…." Damie groaned in pain and rubbed the sore pain in her back.

She had no time to recover, a group of Alca-Noise slowly approaching her, she screamed in panic as Damie attempted to get away from them, but it proved to be useless when they only got closer to her very fast.

When she tried to reach for her gun from under her jacket, it wasn't there and to make matters even worse, the Glock was left on the ground, far away from her reach, she supposedly dropped it after she tripped.

Now with no weapons to defend herself, Damie started trembling and whimpering in fear, breathing rapidly, and felt her chest tightened as she watched the Alca-Noise preparing to kill her. It's like she is being choked by something.

Even though Kanade arrives to witness what's happening right now, it is too late for the Commander as one of the Alca-Noise goes to thrust their sword at Damie's chest and Kanade immediately rushes at the group to prevent them from killing her.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"DAMIIIIEEEEE!"

All of a sudden, the entire place shifted back to the training room, Kanade stopped her tracks and processed what's happening, while Damie remained in fear after the encounter "You may cleverly destroy the drone, but you failed to save your training partner. The survival time is 4 minutes if you're asking." Elfnein told them the results.

"I see, better luck next time I guess." Kanade made the spear disappear and took a deep breath and exhaled, then she looked at Damie with a worried expression "Damie…" She lends the black-haired girl a hand but Damie swatted her hand away and stood up.

Still in a state of shock, Damie growled "GET OFF ME! I don't want you or everyone else to get near me because I nearly died from those assholes!" She barked.

"Damie, that was a simulation."

"FUCK OFF! Do you have any idea how much I went through?! Huh?! Ever since that day, I…I…Not this again…" Damie couldn't take it anymore and started crying, Damie pushed her away and ran off, a faint sobbing could be heard before the doors closed behind her.

"H-Hey, wait!" Kanade tried to stop her but it's no use, leaving her feeling only regret for not helping her dealing with the problems Damie had "Damie…"

Elfnein soon entered the room and sighed, she seemed to regret her decision as well "I'm sorry, Kanade-san I didn't know the Noise could scare her so badly."

In order to ease her mind, Kanade reached her hand to her head and patted "Not everyone understands what everyone around them went through, in Damie's case, I just realized one thing that I could think about her…"

ROCK Headquarters, Restroom – 8:03 pm

Rika hummed her favorite song as she went inside the restroom to relieve herself after a long day, it went on like usual, until she spotted something strange when she reached the stalls, her eyes widened, and gasped at what greeted her.

"D-Damie…?" She said with a shocked tone while she slowly covered her mouth in response.

What greeted her was Damie Miller lying on the cold floor while she's in one of the open stalls, with small traces of her own tears left in her eyes.

There we have it, this is the start of Damie's arc and I decided to give a little spotlight to Kanade, exploring a little more about ROCK, and the friendship chemistry before I begin her suffering (I'm not pulling a Tsubasa arc). The next chapter is going to continue where it left off.

School has already started so I might be slow on writing to focus on my school activities, don't worry, my passion is still here.

That's all for today, wash your hands and wear a mask, I'll be seeing ya'll again in the next chapter.

AgentXT, dropping out!
