2019.

A number. An important one. One that was currently running it's way through Suzuki Touichirou's mind. He had no idea how he had come to this number. 2019. It was…important. He had no idea why. He had no idea of anything. His head was pounding. He felt weak and…tired? He cracked his eyes opened…the light was blinding. He closed them again and tried to turn away…it hurt. His neck hurt, his back hurt, his head hurt…even his skin hurt now that he really focused on it…what had he done last night?

And where was Fukuda?

"Fuk….Fukuda….fix this…." Touichirou managed to gasp out. His mouth was dry, he could feel how chapped his lips were. He tried to lick them. When was the last time he'd had a drink? It would have had to have been…he didn't know. The last thing he remembered was darkness and pain and…and….

And then nothing.

"Now!" said Touichirou as he tried to sit up…something was holding him back. He was just so tired…he had never been this tired before in his entire life. Not even that time he and Fukuda had tried to break the world's record for longest time staying awake. He had managed four days and five nights…and it hadn't felt nearly as bad as this.

Where in the hell was Fukuda?

And where in the hell was he, for that matter? This was not his room, it didn't smell like his room for one thing, and this bedding was way too slippery. He hated slippery fabrics. He managed to crack his eyes opened. Blue. His bedding was red and…and wait, he was supposed to be at Fukuda's house. That was where they had agreed to sleepover…to pretend to sleepover.

He closed his eyes again. It was too bright.

Alright so this wasn't his room and…and the bedding was blue. That was something that he knew. He had planned for this, if he was ever lost he knew…well that counted if he had gotten lost in the woods but these were not the woods. This wasn't HQ and these were not the woods and…and people. That wasn't his aura or Fukuda's that he was sensing. That was another…four others…

There were more of them!

"….what do we tell him…."

"Just ask him his name!"

"He looks really messed up…"

"….hospital…?"

Voices. Four voices from four people. Four espers. He knew that he couldn't have been the only one, next to Fukuda. This proved it, there were others in the world, and also he wasn't an alien and…and alright, that last one hadn't been a thing since he'd been a child but…alright. He had to stay calm, he had to get up, and then he had to start knocking heads in until he got answers.

He managed to do the sitting up part.

"Who are you and where am-" said Touichirou as he managed to not only push himself back into a sitting position but also a standing one…and then he promptly fell flat on his face. His powers hadn't even caught him. He tried to reach out with them and…and nothing. They were there but weak, like the time that he had tried to move that satellite that was always passing his house but only managed to knock an airplane off course and into the cultural tower….this was bad.

He was captured.

This was heavy.

"Is he dead?!" someone shouted. Touichirou felt himself being rolled onto his back. He cracked his eyes opened and…alright, he was captured, but by people his own age. That was better. He didn't know what he would have done if it had been the government. Not that he believed Fukuda about the government looking for them so they could dissect them like in E.T…..not that he believed that a lot…

He was Suzuki Touichirou. He didn't know the meaning of the word 'fear'.

"Are you dead?" someone asked him before he poked him in the stomach. He had never seen hair that blond in his entire life…but he wasn't in a foreign place. Half the people here were Japanese so he must have been in Japan. Also everyone was speaking Japanese…though that other guy did look foreign, just as foreign as the redheaded….

Hey! Another redhead!

"Obviously he's not dead, Hanazawa, or he wouldn't be looking at us." Said the redheaded guy…he looked like mother kind of….like him. But Touichirou didn't know if he even had any relations. Any that would have been willing to speak to him…

His aura felt familiar.

"Where…am….I?" asked Touichirou, his throat feeling like it was being torn apart with every word. The guy with the very unfortunate bowl cut reached out and….was that aura HIS!? He pulled a bottle of water into his hand with telekinesis and passed it to Touichirou…plastic? He could barely grasp it but it was definitely plastic and…and he had no idea why anyone would waste their money on bottled water in the first place…

Why was that what he took issue with right now.

"You're in my brother's room." said bowl cut as he helped Touichirou sit up. As soon as he could sit up on his own he pushed his hand away.

"I'm fine." Said Touichirou as he rested his back against the bed and drank. This was the best thing that he had ever drank in his life. Before he knew it he had downed the entire bottle of water. Greedy. Father would have been ashamed, as would mother. But mother and father weren't here…not that he had any idea where 'here' was.

Here was where the audience was.

"Do we have to feed him too?" asked the guy next to the redheaded guy. He looked pissed off for some reason. Well, Touichirou had at some point intruded upon this house and…wait, no, he could not be held responsible for his actions while he was…injured?

He looked down at his arms. Road rash. Yes, this counted as injured…but where was Fukuda?

He took stock of the situation. He was injured, captured, and vulnerable in a way that he had never been before. He needed to find Fukuda and get out of here…wherever 'here' was. If he'd been at full strength he would have lost control by now, but he wasn't, he was nowhere near his full strength. This was both a curse and less of a curse. He was weak, yes, but he had time to think and to plan and just to…to…

To figure out where the hell he was.

"Where is-" asked Touichirou before his personal space was suddenly invaded. Making up for his lack of aura was the one pressing right up against him. Red and…and familiar, not unlike his…eyes like his too…same color and shape…more freckles than him….they could have been brothers…

He knew for a fact that he was an only child.

"Who are you and what are your parents' names?" asked the redhead

"Who needs to know?" asked Touichirou

"Suzuki Sho, your half brother." Said the redhead…Suzuki Sho. Suzuki…same family name…but that meant nothing.

"Suzuki Touichirou, a complete stranger to you. We don't share blood between us." Said Touichirou

"We obviously do. I mean, come on." Said Sho as he pulled at his own hair. Longer than Touichirou's, same color though…but he knew his mother and he knew his father. Mother would never have been unfaithful to father and if she had been then father would never have stood for it. Never suffer a snake in the grass, father had told him a thousand times before. Mother was many things but she was not a snake in the grass, or an adulterer.

"Insult my mother again and your death will not be a quick one." Said Touichirou

"I'm not saying shit about your mom. So she slept with my dad, big deal. I'm sure she's nice and-hey!" said Sho

"I'm weak…why am I so weak?" asked Touichirou as he tried his best to forcer choke Sho. Not enough to kill him, father had always said that murder was a cowards way out, but enough to get his point across. For some reason he didn't seem to be getting any kind of a point across at all.

"Did you just try and strangle me?!" asked Sho

"Yes. I tried to force choke you. You deserved it for insinuating that my mother cheated on my father. Now answer my question, why am I so weak right now?" asked Touichirou. He directed this question to the others in the room. They were keeping their distance it seemed. It made sense, Touichirou could have killed them all with a flick of the wrist…or at least he would have been able to if he'd been at even half strength.

What was wrong with him.

"The fuck!?" shouted Sho. He was immediately shushed by his…friends?

"Sho, Mom and Dad can hear you…and also Ritsu might start cursing if he hears you do it." said bowl cut. The guy beside him. His…brother? They looked like they could have been brothers. He shook his head.

"Brother, I think we may have other things to worry about." Said…Ritsu? Sho. Teru. Ritsu. Ritsu's brother. There. Names. Names were good.

"If mom and dad hear him then they'll come in and I don't know how to explain this." Said…alright, maybe he needed a better name for bowl cut than bowl cut. Fukuda would have thought of something better, he was good at this sort of thing.

"No Shige, I meant…ok, fine, that's what I meant. Just…Sho, let me take over, alright?" said Ritsu as he got up and walked towards him…towards Sho who happened to be near him. Touichirou put up a barrier, not a strong one, but one strong enough to…he had no idea if this was strong enough to stop another esper. He had no idea if he even could at full strength…now that he thought about it he had never practiced against anyone before…Fukuda throwing things at him didn't count…

For all he knew he could have been average.

"No, I have this." Said Sho. Ritsu sat down beside him and took his hand…strange. Very strange.

"Sho-" said Ritsu

"I have this. He's my brother so he's my problem." Said Sho. Touichirou watched their eyes. Ritsu's darted back towards his brother, quickly.

"Fine. I trust you, but I'm here for you, too." Said Ritsu. He squeezed Sho's hand before getting up and sitting beside his brother. Touichirou was still getting weary looks. He didn't know why. Sho had started it.

"Don't do it again." Said Sho. Touichirou looked back at him. He was glaring…what had he done that was so bad?

"What? Be specific." Said Touichirou

"What? You're seriously asking me-don't fucking choke me again, how about that!?" asked Sho. Touichirou shook his head.

"I never intended to murder you, that's a cowards way as my father has told me many times before. I simply wanted you to shut your mouth. I don't know what you're so upset over, it isn't like you're incapable of defending yourself." Said Touichirou

"That's not the fucking point! You can't just go around choking people! And I wasn't trying to insult your mom." Said Sho

"Then stop implying that she slept with your father and spawned you. She did not. My mother, annoying as she can be at times, would never go so far as to betray our family and if she had then my father would have punished her dearly. He gets angry enough when people use his Hi-Fi, I don't even want to see what he would do to a man who used his wife." Said Touichirou, rubbing his back. That had been a painful end to the day, but worth it, since he had proved to Fukuda that the song did not go 'hold me close and tie me down sir'. CDs truly had the best sound fidelity and if Father hadn't wanted him to use his Hi-Fi then he should have gotten Touichirou one of his own.

"What? No, we have the same dad? How in the hell can we possibly have the same mom?" asked Sho. Touichirou stared at him for a moment before motioning towards his hair.

"I strongly suspect that Mother is not only the only redheaded person in all of Seasoning City but perhaps the whole of Japan as well. You are the only other redheaded person I have ever seen in my life." said Touichirou

"Well then you haven't met Dad, he's got red hair too. That's why we look like this." Said Sho

"Well then it seems as though you've solved your own mystery, you resemble your father and I resemble my mother. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go home to my Mother and Father before they start to worry. Good day." Said Touichirou. He pushed up from the ground and tried to stand…his head started to spin. The room turned into a funhouse….

He stayed seated for the time being.

"Wait! You can't go, we didn't solve anything!" said Sho

"I know that I can't go. My head is killing me…everything is killing me…" said Touichirou. He heard bowl cut and Teru muttering something between them about a hospital. Touichirou wouldn't go even if they tried to drag him. Mother had been clear, he was not to do anything else reckless, and Father had been clear too, he was not to do anything to worry Mother. If he went to a hospital then, of course, they would know that he and Fukuda had decided to…what had they been doing? He tried to remember….

Either time travel or making their own rocket fuel. That had been on the agenda for last night or…there was a lot of time he couldn't account for. Very worrying.

"Well yeah, you fell down a mountain." Said Ritsu

"Mountain?" asked Touichirou. He remembered….yes, they had gone to the mountains because they needed to…to gather speed. They didn't have anything with an engine and they had needed to get to eighty eight miles per hour, 141.62 milometers an hour…just about….

"We found you by the side of the road. We thought you were dead but it turned out that you were seriously hurt…well, I guess only a little seriously since you woke up." said bowl cut. Touichirou reached up and touched his forehead…old blood. He felt around the back of his head. That was definitely a bump…

Fukuda knew better than to let him stay hurt for this long.

"What were you even doing up there?" asked Ritsu

"And where did you get that Swatch Watch?" asked Teru. Everyone turned to. Him. He shrugged.

"It looks pretty new." Said Teru. Touichirou shrugged.

"That's because it is new, I just got it." Said Touichirou pulling up his sleeve. Father said that it looked stupid but Father was also two and a half decades older than him. He knew he looked cool, and looking cool was the most important thing, according to Fukuda anyway. He knew more about these things, other people, than Touichirou. Did. Of course Touichirou would have preferred Fukuda to know more about sticking to plans and doing his job.

"But it looks so real." asked Teru. Touichirou rolled his eyes.

"That's because it is real. My Father brought it back for me from Switzerland." Said Touichirou. Really. He wasn't Fukuda, everything he had was real.

"That's vintage, though, everything that you're wearing is." Said Teru. Touichirou looked down. He was dressed normally. Everyone else was dressed strangely.

"I have no idea what vintage means but I know that my clothes are perfectly normally. You're the ones dressed strangely." Said Touichirou

"Nobody's dressed like that since-" said Teru

"Hanazawa! Will you quit bothering my brother about his clothes? Really, you're worse than my mom about clothes…and she's really bad about clothes!" said Sho. Touichirou could feel his strength returning. As interesting as this was, and as terrifying as it was to know that there were other people like him besides Fukuda, he had to go. He had to get home and do his homework and beat Fukuda up for abandoning him and then, at some point, he was going to have to find more espers. He and Fukuda were outnumbered two to one.

There was no way he was going to take over the world with just one other person.

"Listen, this has been wonderful and basic manners dictate that I thank you for your hospitality but now I really need to leave. Good day." Said Touichirou as he managed to stand and…oh. He was in his shoes. Why in the hell was he wearing his shoes inside!? What was the matter with him?! Or, rather, with the people who had brought him here.

"Also for future reference the polite thing to do when capturing someone is to remove their shoes when you bring them into your home." Said Touichirou as he reached down with his powers and tugged at his laces. This was…this was much too hard. It hadn't even been this difficult when he had been little…and now his head was spinning again. He had to sit down.

Oh. Someone was helping.

"I'm sorry about that, we weren't thinking about shoes when we found you, Suzuki…or should I call you Touichirou?" said bowl cut. Touichirou tried his best to push the aura away. He couldn't.

He was still weak…or perhaps he had never been strong to begin with.

"I just met you…but I suppose that Touichirou will cut down on confusion, since his name is Suzuki as well." Said Touichirou

"He likes to be called Sho, but I guess you should ask him what he wants to be called. I like to be called Mob but you can call be Shigeo or Kageyama." Said bowl cut. Touichirou so wished Fukuda had been there beside him, he always knew what to do in these situations. Touichirou wasn't a moron, he was actually a genius, and he knew that the best thing to do was to befriend this person. All of them, but this person was the most important. He was the most powerful and therefore logic dictated that he was the leader. The others seemed to look to him for guidance, a bit like how Fukuda looked to Touichirou.

"Mob will suffice." Said Touichirou. There. He didn't need Fukuda. He was perfectly capable of making friends on his own. Not that he'd ever had one besides Fukuda…it didn't matter. Four new espers. He hadn't thought that he would meet anyone new until they managed to get to university. He should have sensed them before, especially if they lived near…

Where was he again?

"Pleased to meet you." said Touichirou, remembered his manners. He bowed, quickly, before the room spun too badly…he had to sit down. He sat down on the bed. His shoes were taken off of him. This person…Mob…clearly wanted him on his side.

"Pleased to meet you, too." Said Mob. The others shared a glance before settling back onto him…yes, definitely their leader. He could have taken him…possibly. If he hadn't been so injured. He looked out the window. He didn't recognize the houses…he must have been very far from home.

"And the rest of you are Sho, Ritsu, and Teru, correct? Should I use your given names or family names? I'm generally not that familiar with people but I suppose I can make an exception since you have been so…hospitable…to me." said Touichirou

"I think that you should ask everyone else what they want to be called, I mean I can't speak for everyone, just myself." Said Mob

"But aren't you the-" said Touichirou

"Great, yeah, everyone's friends. Can I please get back to interrogating my brother-" said Sho

"I've told you a thousand times that I'm not-" said Touichirou

"Touichirou, can I ask you something?" asked Mob. Touichirou nodded. He could make this group his, when he got his strength back, but right now there was no point in alienating everyone.

"Don't tell him what year it is." Whispered Sho. Touichirou cocked an eyebrow.

"You don't know what year it is?" asked Touichirou. Did he have a head injury too?

"That's what I was going to ask you. What year do you think it is right now?" asked Mob. Touichirou wondered if he was in that part of town that still had a lead problem.

"Oh my God, he's not a-" said Sho

"Of course I know what year it is. It's 1986." Said Touichirou with a scoff. All he had earned himself were stares. Big, wide eyed, stares…he pulled at the collar of his shirt and smoothed down his hair. It just stood right back up again. This was…something that was really more Fukuda's area of expertise.

"Wait…are you being serious?" asked Sho

"Yes, of course I am. It's 1986 and has been since January 1st. The previous year was 1985 and the next year will be 1987. Check the calendar if you don't believe me." said Touichirou. He looked around, fully intending to point at the calendar, but he just couldn't find it. It must have been…it wasn't hanging above the desk, like his was in his room, and it wasn't above the bed either like Fukuda's was. There wasn't a calendar anywhere in this room, not even the ones they gave away at the bank.

"…you don't have a calendar. It's very strange. You are a very strange group of people." Said Touichirou

"I…don't know what you mean so can you…can you explain?" asked Mob. Explain? Explain what? How time worked?

"Explain wha-" said Touichirou

"I think he's got a concussion." Muttered Ritsu. Touichirou reached up and felt the bump on his head…that was definitely a possibility…but he had no idea what that had to do with the current year.

"That's certainly pos-" said Touichirou

"I think I was right." Said Teru

"Right about what?" asked Touichirou

"I think he's crazy." Said Sho. Touichirou glanced down at his shoes. He would have thrown them at Sho if he'd had his powers to back him up…actually he may have been able to take him physically…but he had three other people waiting to back him up and he didn't even have Fukuda.

Time to use his words like Mother was always ordering him to.

"I'm perfectly sane. You're the one insisting that we're brothers, and with the same father no less. My father is Japanese, my mother is my foreign parent, so unless my father has secretly altered his appearance and lied to me for my entire life then, no, we don't share a drop of blood between us. If anyone is insane you're insane." Said Touichirou. There, he had won…but no, he hadn't, since Sho didn't seem to know when he was beaten!

"You think it's 1986!" shouted Sho

"It is. It clearly is." Said Touichirou

"Ritus's right, your head is all messed up and stuff!" said Sho

"Yes, I have bumped my head multiple times, but that doesn't mean that I forgot what year it is. It's 1986 and I don't know why this is news to you…any of you." said Touichirou

"The fu-" said Sho as Ritsu took his hand. Something passed between them, their faces and their auras, something that Touichirou couldn't decipher.

"You don't have to do this on your own. Let me help." Said Ritsu

"…I can handle this…" said Sho

"I'm not even sure what this even is." Said Ritsu

"Sunday, March 2nd, 2019." Said Teru as he held out a….Touichirou truly did not know. A screen a little bit bigger than his Game and Watch…but this wasn't a Game and Watch. This was too small, for one thing, and it was in color and…and his 9801, well technically father's 9801, couldn't even display colors like that…or text that small or…or pictures….

He needed that.

"What the hell?!" shouted Teru as Touichirou snatched it right out of his hands. This was…he had no idea what he was holding but he knew he couldn't let it go. This was a computer but miniature and…and he knew that computers were a lot smaller than when he had been little, Father had shown him the computer room at his office many times, but this…this was…it couldn't have been real and-

-was that a touch screen!

"What IS this thing?!" asked Touichirou as he touched everything that there was to touch. He wasn't even paying attention. This was amazing! He had seen a touch screen before but only at the Cultural Tower and-and-and how was this even possible!

And why hadn't Father told him about it?!

"You shouldn't steal, especially not other people's phones. They're expensive." Said Mob as he used his powers to take the…phone? Phone. That thing was a phone and…and no, it wasn't. He wasn't a moron, he knew what a phone looked like. That was the world's smallest computer and…and he needed that!

But he wasn't strong enough to get it back.

"This not a phone, this is...a very small computer and….and give it back!" said Touichirou. Mob shook his head and handed it back to Teru.

"You cracked my screen." Muttered Teru

"You've seriously never seen a phone before? How have you never seen a phone before?" asked Sho

"I've seen a phone before, I have my own phone line in my room, and that thing is not a phone. That's a small computer….somehow…it's smaller than a Game and Watch. How is it smaller than a Game and Watch?" asked Touichirou

"You mean a Gameboy?" asked Sho

"What's a Gameboy?" asked Touichirou

"How are you-" asked Sho before Ritsu pulled him back and shook his head.

"I think that Teru was right…I wish that you were right but I'm pretty sure that Teru was right and…I don't know." said Ritsu

"Teru isn't right! If Teru was right then-then how am I here!?" asked Sho

"Maybe you'll disappear slowly or something, I don't know! This is-" said Ritsu

"That's not possible and-" said Sho. Touichirou had heard quite enough. His head was killing him, all of this was making it worse, and now he had to go home and ask his Father when they had invented extremely small computers and why they didn't have one. They had been the first family in the entire Saffron District to get a Satellite Dish, a VCR, a Betamax player, a CD Hi-Fi, and the second family to have a laserdisc player…how had Father just let this pass him by!?

Not that Touichirou would ever question his father, of course.

"What are all of you yelling about and can you do this without me being here? I have to go home. I have no idea where I am, my head hurts, I'm missing most of the skin on my arms, I have homework to do, and also I have to at some point find Fukuda and ask him why he abandoned me on the side of the road. Now if you'll excuse me-" said Touichirou as he got up.

"What were you doing on the side of the road?" asked Ritsu as Touichirou got his footing.

"I went down the mountain in my wagon and went off the road. It happens sometimes when I lose focus." Said Touichirou as he tried to pull his shoes over with his powers. They barely moved.

"But why were you going down the side of the mountain in your wagon in the middle of the night? And what was that explosion?" asked Ritsu

"Please." Said Mob, nudging his brother.

"Fine. Please." Said Ritsu

"I was going down the side of the mountain so I could naturally pick up speed. I needed to go eighty eight miles an hour while generating one point twenty one gigawatts, and with the 'g' sound not the 'j' sound my mother says so and English is her first language, so I could go to the future and figure out how I ultimately end up ruling the world. Clearly I have not since I'm here, and injured, and Fukuda isn't here with me. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go home and I feel like I'm very far from home. I mean I have no idea where I am but since I don't recognize these houses I'm going to assume that I'm on the side of town I've never had any reason to go to." said Touichirou as he managed to slid his shoes across the floor and into his hands. He needed to leave right now and-

"You're in 2019." They all said at once…and….and he must have been concussed….

"What?" asked Touichirou. Everyone looked at everyone else, and then at him, and then at everyone else.

"You should sit down." Said Mob

"You should lay down." Said Ritsu

"You should put your head between your knees and take deep breaths." Said Teru

"You should have a drink." Said Sho. Touichirou did none of that. He simply stood there and crossed his arms.

"I should get an explanation because it sounds like all of you are telling me that it is the year 2019, I invented time travel, and I am now the unquestioned lord and master of the word." Said Touichirou. He was, once again, being stared at. It was like staring was all that they could do.

"Um…some of those things are true." Said Mob. Touichirou took a moment to process what he had just heard. He wasn't being lied to. He couldn't explain the tiny computer any other way, or the weird clothes, so this was…this was it…he had done it! He had made it to the future!

He was the greatest human being who had ever lived!

"I…am truly the most amazing human being ever to live and now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and admire the world I've created. Thank you very much for not letting me die, you will forever be in my debt." Said Touichirou as he took a step forward, and then another, and then another. He was so shaky…he needed to find Fukuda. If he was even still alive…but he must have been. Touichirou was still alive and he didn't even have healing powers. Of course Fukuda was alive. He was alive and Touichirou would find him.

If he ever got out of here.

There was the door, right there in front of him, but in front of the door was Sho. Touichirou didn't have the telekinetic strength to push him aside. He had to do it physically…and he wasn't strong enough. He hated this! He had to leave! He had to see what he had done with the world! He had to find Fukuda and get healed up and then he had to go home, because he was thirty three years late for curfew, and then of course he had to see but not interact with his older self since that could destroy time and space, and then also at some point he was going to have to see if they made another Galaxy Express movie.

He had a lot to do but for some reason they weren't letting him leave…well of course they didn't want him gone, he was amazing company.

"I know I'm good company but I'm going to have to ask you to get out of my way. I have important things to do." Said Touichirou. He wondered if he could have just ordered him to get out of the way. He was the ruler of the world after all…well, an older version of him was. Forty six. Father wasn't even forty six. Thirty three years had passed…there was so much he had missed out on…a library. He was going to have to go to the library. It must have still been there, right? The library or the book store…and the manga store, he had thirty three years of the Galaxy Express to get caught up on. There could have been so many new series and…and there was the arcade!

How could he have forgotten about the arcade?!

It was probably all new cabinets! Well, not all new. Touichirou couldn't think of a reason why he would have allowed them to take away Space Invaders. There was no better game, anything Atari had come up with later was just frosting, so there must have been an entire arcade just for Space Invaders! And the stupid things that Fukuda liked, too. Street Fighter and Galaga and, well, there were probably plenty of new Famicom games out that he needed to take back for Fukuda, or at least take notes on…notes…he'd brought his notebooks with him and a bunch of other supplies and-and-and-

-power was nothing without control.

Father had always told him that power was nothing without control. Father didn't have powers, of course, but he was a powerful man. A man held onto his power by not losing control no matter what was happening around him. A man maintained control even though the room was on fire, the people around him were being morons, and the market was being cruel. A man held himself under control even if he wanted to start punching people in the back of the head or kicking holes in the walls or kissing people or killing them or-or-or-

-he needed to calm down. It was easier with his powers dulled.

"Move." Said Touichirou, the picture of calm serenity. He could have been a monk he was so calm, but one of those cool warrior monks, not the kind that prayed all day and wasn't allowed to go near girls.

"We can't let him go. I've seen enough time travel movies to know that it's a VERY bad idea to let him go." Said Teru. Touichirou rolled his eyes.

"I'm not going to accidentally make my mother fall in love with me, I went forward in time, not backwards." Said Touichirou

"That's…weird…" said Ritsu

"It's Back to the Future." Said Touichirou and Teru at the same time. Touichirou turned to face him and now it was his turn to stare.

"What?" asked Teru

"At least one of you has good taste. No sense, but good taste. I know not to cause a paradox. I have no intention of meeting myself or stopping any of my accomplishments or accidentally killing my parents or children-" said Touichirou

"You tried to kill me!" shouted Sho. Mob was shushing him. Ritsu was practically holding him back. Teru was putting up a barrier…well that last one made sense if Touichirou had tried to kill Sho.

"If it's any consolation I probably didn't mean it. Sometimes I lose control. I've nearly killed Fukuda at least four times this year alone. Only one of which he deserved…and you would have done the same thing if someone had gotten finger prints all over your laserdisc." Said Touichirou

"I didn't-I mean I-I mean I didn't deserve it! You're just crazy and-" said Sho

"He's your son." Said Ritsu as he put his hand over Sho's mouth. Sho jerked his head away. His eyes met Touichirou's. Touichirou's eyes met his. They had the same eyes…or rather Sho had his eyes…of course Sho had his eyes. Sho was his son! He had a son! He had slept with a girl!

Ha! Fukuda didn't know anything!

"I don't believe this…" said Touichirou

"Yeah, me neither…this is such a mind fuck-" said Sho

"I slept with someone! I slept with a girl!" said Touichirou

"Dad, that's so gross-" said Sho

"Fukuda was wrong! I don't die a virgin! He owes me a 5200!" shouted Touichirou. This was the greatest day of his life! She really liked him! Fukuda had told him that he was crazy, that Miki thought he was weird and wanted him to stop following her around, but clearly she loved him and they had son so they got married and she even let him sleep with him at least once! Which was probably more than Fukuda!

Life was truly perfect.

"Shut up and stop being gross! I don't want to hear about that!" said Sho. Now everyone was shushing him. Touichirou heard footsteps…heavy ones. Father footsteps. Touichirou instantly contained his joy. He didn't know whoever's Father this was but he knew his own Father and Father had always said that outward displays of happiness were for women and children, of which Touichirou was neither.

He clasped his hands in front of himself and looked down.

"Boys, two things. First of all stop yelling in here, it bothers your mother. Second of all I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear what you were yelling about but, again, your mother is in the house and you're too young for all that anyway." Said someone's Father. His voice was higher than Father's, and he spoke more, and he didn't do that quiet speaking thing Father did when he was angry…the quiet speaking was worse than the yelling…

He had only heard Father yell once. The quiet speaking was worse.

"Yes, Dad." Said Mob and Ritsu at once. So this was their father, alright then. They said it wrong, though. Touichirou could hear it. Not enough deference. They were looking at him too, weren't they? He glanced upwards quickly. They were in trouble but looking their father right in the eyes…

Strange people. Very strange people.

"Thank you and…wait, didn't you guys have two friends over?" asked Kageyama-san

"No." said Ritsu

"Yes." Said Mob. Touichirou braced himself. You were never supposed to lie to your parents. Ever.

"Boys…new rule. One friend each per sleepover, alright? We aren't running an inn." Said Kageyama-san

"Yes Dad." Said Mob

"I know, Dad." Said Ritsu. Strange again. No apologies. No bowing. Nothing….so strange. Even stranger than Fukuda's family.

"Good, now anyone who wants breakfast can come downstairs. Your mother is making omelets since the eggs are about to go bad. So just finish up…whatever is going on in here and come down." Said Kageyama-san. Touichirou would never pass up the prospect of omelets, but he kept his head down until he heard the door closed. He stared at his socks, not moving, like Father had always said so. He didn't look up until he heard the door close. He didn't move until he heard footsteps going down the stairs.

Only when the footsteps stopped could he breathe.

He felt his stomach gnawing a hole in on it's self. He needed food and omelets were not only food but the best kind so, obviously, he was going to eat. Then he could explore the future, find his family, give Fukuda a long overdue punch to the back of the head, and then go home. After taking copious amounts of notes, of course, there was no point in coming to the future to figure out how he'd taken over the world if he was just going to forget when he went back to the past…yes, this was all going so well.

2019 was going to be a good year.
