"Is there something about Eraser I should know about?"

His eyes instantly go to Jack Squat and his mouth quickly stops chewing on the fistful of fries. She's currently looking away from him but… They are currently at a fast food restaurant because both of them forgot to stock the fridge back at her office, so either yellow lighting is messing up with his vision and makes his eyes go bad or her cheeks have a tint of pink on them.

"He likes cats," he offers before continuing shoving another fistful of fries into his mouth.

"Yeah, he does have that cat vibe," he hears Miruko mutters. Looking back at her, she now has her elbow on the table and rests her chin in her palm. Now that he has a clearer view of her face, her cheeks are actually tinted pink.

…Huh.

His theory of her being distracted by Aizawa is becoming more plausible. Ever since she got Teach's phone number she's more on her phone than ever before. He also has been hearing a completely new ringtone. Said ringtone is barely heard but every time it did, Jack Squat would take out her phone so fast and her bobtail would wag excitedly.

He then watches as she takes out her phone for the many times since they got in the restaurant. She looks down at it expectantly, as if waiting for that special ringtone.

Is it a theory anymore if it is proven correct?

"Ya want 'im to talk?" he starts with his mouth full. "Tough shit, he ain't the talkin' type." Her facial expression didn't change when he told her that. So it seems she's aware of that fact then. "He doesn't text a lot. He prefers to call or meet in person. He would go very far to meet the guy in person instead of callin' them."

"Really?" Jack Squat finally looks at him. Her eyes are shining a little, as if she had discovered a new toy to chew on. He nods his head before he takes a single fry this time because it's not easy to talk with shits in your mouth.

"Keep your mouth shut half of the time. Man enjoys peace and quiet and he ain't wantin' another cockatoo blabberin' into his ears until they bleed off. He already got it hard with Present Mic."

"The Voice Hero?" She's fully turning towards him now. He could tell he had piqued her interest now.

"Yeah, seem to be friends considerin' Mic purposely screams at him at times." Not to mention that he's still alive despite it all. He would've thought Aizawa would murder that walking hair mess two years ago. "And Midnight is another fuckall that he has to deal with."

"That bitch?"

"Ya know her?"

"Yeah I fucking know her for ripping me off half of my wallet."

"Did ya make bets with her?"

"How the fuck did you know?"

"Ya don't make bets with Midnight."

"Is there anyone else I should know?"

"All Might and Ms. Joke. Mt. Lady too but I ain't too sure. Saw 'em together one time but I think it was against his will. Then again, it's always against his will when it comes to these guys."

"…Damn, he had it hard."

"Yeah well another one is going on the list."

"What was that, shithead?"

"Ain't your fucking business, Jack Squat," he sneers before taking the cheeseburger and shoves it into his mouth.

"Fucking ass," Miruko sneers back but doesn't add anything else beyond that. She looks back down at her phone, now with a different expression than before, a bit more contemplative.

He continues to chew as he stares at her. Well, a little extra wouldn't help.

"We're going somewhere after this, Jack Squat."

.

"Where are you taking me, brat?"

"Just shut up and stop complainin', Jack Squat," he says over his shoulder without taking his eyes off from the road. He hears Miruko grumble something that he couldn't hear but he ignores her. For now, he has somewhere to bring her.

Since it is confirmed that she has Aizawa in her mind, there is a place that is important for her to know. It's not far from UA, actually. It is very convenient for his teacher at the close proximity.

It's a simple store. There is nothing special about it; it's just like any other convenience store that can be found anywhere. But the one thing that makes Caterpillar go there all the time is simple. Once said store is within sight, he beelines for it.

"Why are we here?" he hears Miruko asks once she realizes their destination. He doesn't answer her, merely continues to lead her inside. Familiar white noise greets him and his feet carry him to a familiar aisle (because he had been here a few times when accompanying Hobo Teacher).

There, rows upon rows of jelly pouches greet him. On one side is the refrigerated one and on the other side is not.

"What are all these?" Jack Squat asks as she approaches one side, taking a closer look at one of the many pouches. "Why did you take me here?"

"Teach basically lives off of this," he answers, gesturing towards everything in the aisle with a lazy wave. "He drinks this stuff every day without stopping. He probably drinks these more than regular water," he adds.

Miruko gives him a combined look of surprise, confusion and curiosity.

"And you're showing me all these because…?"

"If ya give one to him he might be kinder to ya," he finally reveals. Her eyebrows quickly shoot up. Those red eyes return back to the jelly pouch nearest to her, now looking at them with new light. "Hobo also lives off of coffee but for the love of all things fuck do not give that man any. Granny RG is already having multiple strokes at the amount of coffee Caterpillar has consumed on a regular basis."

That earns him a snort from Miruko and a slight tilt at the corner of her lips.

"With how that man looks, it wouldn't take a hard guess to get to that conclusion," she comments as she takes one pouch from the shelf. "What flavor do you think he likes?" she asks, holding up said pouch for him to see.

"He has no preference," he answers while shrugging his shoulders. "Seen 'im drink all kinds of stuff. Just grabs whatever his hands grab and is all. Ya can go off with whatever you want. Chances are he'll like it anyway."

Jack Squat hums as she places the jelly pouch back on the shelf. Then, she walks down the aisle, red eyes scanning very carefully of the jelly pouches as she passes them. When she suddenly stops, he thinks she finds something that might be worthwhile. She reaches out and takes one off from the shelf. He couldn't see it at the distance they were at. It seems to be good enough because she grabs one more.

"Ya gonna bring one to him?" he asks, mainly to mess with her as she approaches him. Now that she is closer, he has a clear look at the flavor she picked.

Carrots.

Of fucking course they are.

"Maybe," she answers, walking past him and to the paying counter.

'Maybe, she says,' he thinks to himself as he follows her. He knows that she'll be carrying a pair when she decides to go to UA, or more specifically, go to Aizawa. Once the items are paid, they head outside.

"Anything else I should know?" Miruko turns her gaze to him, eyes wide with hidden expectant and excitement.

Yeah, she's not hiding it anymore that she has taken a liking to Aizawa.

He might as well just feed her some since he's already deep into it.

"Don't disturb 'im when he sleeps."

"I already know that, fuckhead."

"Well I'm doublin' down on that point. Aizawa's an Underground Hero. I don't know jackshit about them but from what I can tell, Teach's goin' out at night and comes back at dawn only for him to mark our homework and return to class in the morning. I had never seen him sleep anywhere besides in class with us, which is the only time he gets a chance to rest, so he already got a limited amount of sleep."

"…You really care about him, huh?"

"Sh-Shut the fuck up."

.

"Anything else to add?"

"…Ya really fishin' for more, huh?"

"If the bait's great, why stop reeling?"

He grumbles underneath his breath. It's the end of the day, so he's about to head back to UA dorm but Jack Squat seems like she has another idea to hold him off just a little bit more.

Miruko bothers him less and less when she's thinking about Aizawa, he recently found out. She had stopped sending him memes, fucking finally. So he had some peace of mind since he started interning under her.

And, the best part of all, she seems to up her game in teaching him. She had become more thorough, showing skills that are even more suited with his style of combat and Quirk and offering better advices than ever before.

It's because she wants to impress Aizawa.

"He likes gettin' his hair done," he gives out after a long thought. Miruko's eyes widened, surprised. Then, the corners of her lips twitch as if they're threatening to break into a smile but she holds it in.

"…Really?" she asks with a voice matching her expression.

"Yeah," he affirms while scratching the back of his head. "Seen him with the lady extras sometimes."

He still clearly remembers the first time he witnessed it. He just got back from the gym that time. And the first thing that his eyes caught when he entered the common area was Teach, sitting in an armchair marking their papers while the extras just went wild with his hair. Not once did Teach bat an eyelash at what they had done. He just let them do what they want with his hair.

Really, that Hobo Man thinks his soft side is a secret.

"Do they look good?" Miruko asks. Her surprise is now replaced by curiosity.

"Can do them himself," he drops the bomb, earning another surprised look from Jack Squat. "Saw him doin' it a couple of times."

Never in class, though. He always did his hair in the dorm or going out. The only time where he got his hair done in class is when the day got too hot. He usually lets his hair down before class every time, much to the lady extras' dismay. They always complained that he ruined their masterpiece but Hobo Man was adamant.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah."

Jack Squat lets out a silent chuckle, as if in quiet disbelief. He couldn't blame her. He had never thought that his teacher liked his hair. He thought that OG Eyebags kept his hair because he's too lazy to cut them. That was the logical conclusion.

He silently sneers at himself.

Teach's starting to infect him.

When Miruko looks away, a white lock slips past her shoulder. Instantly, an idea forms in his head.

"You should ask him to do yours," he offers, nodding to her hair. Miruko looks back at him, third time surprised and the most one of all. "He… does that with the other extras a few times."

Fewer times, much fewer than when they did his hair. He was with them when it first came around. They were just messing around and one asked Teach if he could do their hair. Before they could say they were joking, he agreed. It took Teach's usual threat to get them off because they were too shocked to believe he had agreed (even he himself was staring at Teach in shock at his no hesitation agreement).

They never shut up about their new hairstyles for three days straight.

Now, looking back at Miruko, she doesn't bother to hide the smile on her lips. It's a new kind of smile, one that he had never seen on her face before, going as far as creasing the corner of her eyes.

It's… softer.

"…Good idea."
