When he arrives at the office building, he doesn't expect to see anything particularly exciting. He expects it to be just another day on the internship and deals with Bobtail's bullshit (that thankfully has gone down pretty significantly). He even went to a store to buy a few drinks to prepare for today. But when he enters the dining area, Miruko is there sitting in one of the chairs surrounding the table.

"Took you long enough, brat," Bobtail says to him, arms crossed and seems to be waiting for him.

"Bought some shit to put up with ya," he answers, holding up the paper bag to make a point. She hums and raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything else. Nothing is outstanding there.

But what really takes him by surprise is the happy grin on her face that she is trying to suppress but failing at it, similar to the time when she got Aizawa's number a while ago but wider. He gives her a raised eyebrow look himself but he decides to stay silent.

It's too early in the morning to deal with her right now.

He walks past her and silently makes his way to the fridge to put in the drinks he had just bought.

Upon opening it, he notices that the two carrot flavored jelly pouches she had recently bought have disappeared. His eyes then draw to the small opened trash can that is placed right next to the fridge. The only content inside is none other than the missing pouches. One is pressed flat and the other is crunched up.

Now he knows why she looks pretty happy.

So she was with Aizawa earlier, huh?

.

He makes his way through the school hallway, partially empty due to the students either way on their internship or resting at home. The reason he is here is because he has a report to hand in.

He would've let the other extras send him along with theirs but some of them haven't finished theirs and the rest are waiting for them to finish to hand in together. He is not patient enough to wait so he heads to the teacher's lounge by himself and be the first person to finish it (suck on that Ponytail and fucking Deku).

On his way there, he comes across a familiar face, one that isn't normally around here.

"Yo, brat," Miruko greets him with her usual salute as a greeting wave. She seems to be coming from the opposite of where he is heading.

"Why ya here, Bobtail?" he asks, stopping once the two of them are now standing in front of each other. "Goin' after Hobo?"

"Nah, can't do that, brat. He's sleeping right now."

His eyebrows rise to his hairline. So she was from the teacher's lounge, huh? And by the looks of it, she was going after Caterpillar but from her words it seems he's knocked out.

He gives her a silent look of gratitude.

At least she's doing it correctly.

"Hey, it's Miruko!"

"Yo, it's Miruko!"

Rapid footsteps are quickly approaching from behind him and he lets out an exasperated groan before the extras quickly surround both him and Bobtail. They finished much quicker than he expected.

"Miruko! What are you doing here?" one of the extras asks.

"Ain't nothing much, kids. Just raising hell on school grounds," Bobtail answers with a wide feral grin, causing the extras to let out a laugh that reverberates the empty hallway.

He glances at her, through the crowd of the extras. He gives her another silent look of gratitude for keeping it a secret. Miruko doesn't seem to notice the look, merely keeping the feral grin on her face.

He never told her about it but he thinks she must've figured it out on her own due to the fact that Aizawa is a private person.

.

He glances at Miruko for the umpteenth time today on their way back to her office after a long day of work.

She seems a little off today. She's not distracted, per se. She didn't go all glazy eyes and shit and whatnot. She had done her job as his mentor to a T without fail, in fact.

It's just that she had been constantly checking on her phone. It was fine earlier in the day but as the day draws closer to the end of his internship for today the more times she takes out her phone and the more impatient she gets. He doesn't think she's checking for a text message (from Aizawa).

As soon as they're finally inside her office, her phone now permanently stays in her hand and her eyes are completely glued to the screen. His confusion only increases. Then, out of sudden, she quickly pockets her phone.

"Close down everything, I'm going."

With that being said, she instantly dashes out the door they had just entered. He can only stare at the door as it closes, feeling utterly confused.

He takes out his phone and turns on the screen. Is there anything special going on today for her to leave in a hurry? She did leave as soon as their usual work hour was finished, right on the exact dot. Searching through the news sheds no results.

What the fuck is up with her?

He lets out a displeased growl under his breath.

Well, he might just do what she had told him to do. He changes into his casual outfit first, putting away his Hero costume. Then, he makes sure that her main office room is extra locked because valuable documents are placed in there. Then, after checking everything he locks the entrance door with a spare key Bobtail had lent to him.

Before he could take another step, his phone suddenly rings. Upon taking it out from his pocket, he receives a text message from the extras. They're asking if he could stop by a convenience store and grab some snacks before returning back to the dorm. They assure him that they got Aizawa's permission. He sneers at the text message before putting his phone away without replying to it.

Fucking extras telling him to do stuff. Who the fuck do they think he is? An errand boy? Fucking hell, since he's close to one he might just do it. He really doesn't want to deal with their whining later if he refuses.

He heads to the closest store from where he is. It's not far from where he is right now, and thank fuck he brings extra cash with him. Those bastards will have to pay him back when he returns.

When he passes by a café, for some reason, his eyes draw to what's inside of it. The first thing he realizes is that it's a cat café. The first thing he sees is not the cats scattering the café. No, his eyes glue to the two occupants of a table at the very far back of the café.

'That explains why she was in a hurry.'

Aizawa and Miruko stand out a lot from the warm colors of the indoor atmosphere. Miruko is leaning on the table, elbow on the top and rests her chin in her palm, while Aizawa is leaning back in his chair and chin buried in his scarf.

Miruko has a huge grin on her face while Aizawa has his eyes closed. They seem to have just arrived there because he couldn't see anything on the table, meaning they either hadn't ordered, just ordered or didn't order at all. His question is answered when a waitress suddenly arrives and puts down two mugs on their table.

His lips curl in disgust, because of fucking course Aizawa ordered coffee. Before Aizawa could grab his mug, Miruko suddenly swipes it away from him. He watches as Aizawa glares at her as she keeps his mug close to her and she glares back.

He finds himself smirking.

Good for her for doing the right thing.

She did listen then.

.

He looks down the grocery bags in his hand, checking to see just to make sure if he got everything that is needed. It's his turn for today's errands and he is by himself, which he greatly prefers than to be accompanied by those fucking extras. He nods his head once he sees that nothing is amiss.

Then, he makes his way back to UA.

Sun is still high in the sky and today he is not interning under Miruko; an off day, in a sense. It means he could get away from Miruko's bullshit for a day, though that also means he has to deal with the extras back at the dorm.

He couldn't get a fucking day of rest.

Curiosity and boredom, along with the resignation at how much Bobtail and the extras drain him every day, he tilts his head back and his eyes draw to the rooftops. He suddenly stops in his tracks at what his eyes land on.

This has to be a coincidence, right?

Because lo and behold, he finds Miruko and Aizawa at the rooftop of one building. It's not particularly tall but tall enough to cast a decent shadow on the ground. Hobo Teacher is typically sticking in the shadow while Bobtail is putting her foot up on the ledge in a proud stance.

When their eyes connect, Miruko is giving him a big salute as her typical wave while Aizawa just closes his eyes. Miruko has a large grin on her face.

He wonders why they are up there.

.

When he arrives the building, he expects to see another happy grin on Bobtail's face. He expects it to be another day of internship and Miruko, being on the better mood because he had seen her with Caterpillar yesterday, will teach him some moves to which he is looking forward to.

When he enters the building, Miruko is already there waiting for him. Just like he expected, she has a wide grin on her face. But she still manages to surprise him.

Over her left shoulder is her hair tied into a thick braid with a tie that has a cat's paw bead on it.

It is so surprising to him that he has to take a second, longer look to know that he is, in fact, seeing it correctly. She had never tied her hair into a braid before, or even styled it. He had only seen her in a ponytail, like Ponytail's ponytail, only a handful of times and mainly seen in the gym.

It looks so off with her costume, so contrasting despite sharing a similar shade of color.

She looks so proud of it, seeing the happy grin on her face. He never realizes she could style her hair as such, but he never saw her doing it before. Even when he was doing research on her when he was deciding on whom to pick for his internship, she had never worn her hair into any style even when she was younger. The other conclusion is someone else did it for her.

Did she actually ask Aizawa to do that to her?

"What were ya doin' with him?" he asks instead, referring to what she had done yesterday while ignoring the new hairstyle.

"Just hanging around," she answers simply.

"Hobo ain't a mornin' Hero, Bobtail. You ain't findin' him out and about under the sun, much less on the roof out of all places."

"I dragged him up there."

"Fucking why?"

"Why the fuck not? It ain't healthy to not get some Vit D, y'know?"

"I do not want to know how you managed to pull him out from his sleepin' bag."

"Surprisingly he didn't put up much of a resistance."

"Yeah yeah, fucking whatever. I'm changin'."

.

When he pretends to look away and not paying attention to her, he watches as she reaches up with both hands and runs them down the braid very delicately for the umpteenth time of the day. This time around, she gives it a light squeeze.

Every time, her lips would stretch out into a soft smile, much smaller than her usual grin. He had seen the smile before, one that creases the corners of her eyes, but this one is slightly different. To say that she is incredibly happy is an understatement. She's much happier than when she's taking down difficult Villains.

It seems Aizawa and Miruko are now on good terms.

Imagine Aizawa carefully braids Miruko's hair as they sit face to face with their knees touching. It would be so fukim adorable.
