At the police department a reporting officer says, "The Nomu we captured are just as unresponsive as the last ones. They're basically mindless animals. We haven't gotten any new info from them. The warehouse they were kept in was completely destroyed. We'll continue our investigation, of course, but we don't know how much data we can collect."

The Police Chief says, "And we haven't gotten any worthwhile information from the bar at all?"

The officer says, "We're still looking into that, sir."

The Chief groans.

One of the board says, "We apprehended all the Nomu, sure, but we let most of the perpetrators, including Shigaraki, slip through our fingers. Honestly, even though we captured their boss, I'd have to say this whole thing was a draw."

The Police Chief says, "Don't be stupid. Our country just lost the Symbol of Peace. All Might's weakened body has been exposed to the world. Everyone knows the indestructible hero can be defeated now. The citizens and the villains."

Another of the board says, "It's what we get for relying too much on one pro hero."

Another says, "People now know they can raise hell with just a handful of thugs. Hate to think what that might inspire. Our initial profile of Tomura Shigaraki described him as childish and prone to tantrums, but that's obviously changed. His plans are growing more strategic. He now appears to be focused on how he can mold our society. His thought process has evolved. Matured. And since All Might's out of the picture, we've lost our biggest deterrent to criminal activity. Each time the League fails, they come back stronger. And now, Shigaraki can greatly expand his sphere of influence."

The one from before says, "Are you suggesting that all of this was part of the League's plan?"

Another says shrugging, "That does sound like quite a leap."

The Police Chief says, "We don't know. There's only one thing I can say for certain. We must capture the League of Villains, no matter what. As the police, we have to be more proactive in apprehending villains. We are not just backup. It's time we implement changes."

In a hospital, All Might says in a hospital bed, "The embers inside of me have been snuffed out. The mighty Symbol of Peace is no more. However...I won't just sit here. There's still something I must do."

Tsukauchi, Gran Torino, and I sit there in the room with him.

Gran Torino says, "Tomura Shigaraki. Shimura's grandson. Yes?"

Tsukauchi says, "The only proof we have of that is what All For One said. It's not much to go on. The two of you didn't have any interactions with Shimura's family, even though you were so close to her?"

Gran Torino says, "No."

Tsukauchi asks, "But why not?"

Gran Torino says, "It happened soon after Shimura's husband was killed. Concerned, she put her child in foster care to shield the youngester from the hero world. She told Toshinori and me that she didn't want us to have any contact with the kid, even if something terrible were to happen to her."

Tsukauchi says, "And in the end, your promise backfired, huh? I'm sorry to hear that."

I say, "Yes being raised in the hero world is hard but giving up her kid...But then again considering All For One I understand her thinking."

All Might clenches his fist having us all look at him. All Might says, "My master gave up her heart so that her family might know a life full of peace. I must track Shigaraki down as soon as possible. I'll find him, and then-"

Gran Torino interrupts saying, "Then what? Give him a pat on the head?" All Might looks up at Gran Torino as Gran Torino continues, "You're not looking at him like the villain he is anymore. That's dangerous. Remember that, no matter his lineage, he's still a criminal." All Might sighs looking down at the bed. Gran Torino says, "Tsukauchi and I will investigate Shigaraki and the League without you for now. You stay at UA. You still have many responsibilities there. As does Cara here." I nod. Gran Torino continues, "Even if you cannot be the Symbol of Peace that you once were, don't forget that All Might is still alive."

After the fight, Tenya, Bakugo, Eijiro, and Izuku meet up with Shoto and Momo. The five of them took Bakugo to meet the police. The whole way there, he was silent. And then, after our worlds had been turned upside down, they finally went home.

Shoto finally getting home. Fuyumi says, "There you are, Shoto! I was afraid something had happened to you. After you visited Mom, you stopped responding to my messages, so what was I supposed to think?"

After taking off his shoes Shoto turns to Fuyumi and says, "I'm sorry, sis."

An explosion shakes the house causing Fuyumi to gasp. When Shoto looks that way Fuyumi says, "He's been like that ever since he came home. Feel free to go say hi."

Shoto walks towards where his dad is and mutters, "If All Might really can't be the hero he once was anymore, then the number-one spot...is finally my father's." Shoto stops outside of the door and remembers some of his childhood. Shoto peeks in the room and sees a lot of fire and equipment having been thrown around and Endeavor sitting panting in the middle of it.

Endeavor says, "I don't accept it. Not like this! I should have earned it myself. Not by him failing!"

At Izuku's apartment, Izuku's mom says, "Oh, honey. I just can't believe what a hard time All Might's had lately. Things must've been difficult for you, too. But at least you're home."

Izuku shuts the door behind him and says, "Yeah."

Izuku collapses on his bed and looks at the news on his phone. Izuku mutters, "I wonder what'll happen now. Did I do the right thing, leaving him to fight back there with just Cara?" Izuku falls asleep.

Izuku wakes up hours later to his phone buzzing. Izuku gasps and leaves his room with the door slamming. Izuku finishes putting on his shoes when his mom opens the kitchen door saying, "Hey, where are you going? Dinner's ready. I'm making your-"

Izuku says running, "Sorry, I can't!" He runs out the door and to the beach where it all started.

All Might and I stand on the beach waiting for Izuku.

All the sudden I hear running feet and then Izuku screams, "All Might! Cara!"

All Might turns slightly and says, "Ah. You finally made it."

Izuku hits the beach running to us and asks, "Are you okay?"

All Might waves and runs slowly towards him saying, "It sure took you long enough!"

Izuku screams, "All Might!" I just watch the two of them to keep my head on something other than what happened to me as I hadn't told anyone anything about it.

All Might says, "Texas...Smash!" He punches Izuku which has Izuku fall on his back. All Might says, "You made a promise. But as it turns out, you can't keep your word. Ugh, if you kids'd gotten hurt, it would've all been in vain. You've got some bad influences." Izuku sits up holding his cheek. All Might says, "Young Midoriya, listen. I'm officially retired as a pro. It's clear that my body isn't going to allow me to fight another battle." All Might grunts going into his hero form that causes me to roll my eyes. All Might punches the air a few times before deflating with blood coming out of his mouth causing Izuku to scream. All Might says, "The last sparks of One For All have left my body. And my muscle form won't last for any significant amount of time. I can't protect you when you put yourself in danger now. And you're always rushing in to try to help, no matter what I tell you. Destroying your body, over and over. Yet back there, you managed to..." Izuku ducks thinking he's going to get hurt again. All Might continues, "...rescue your friend without being injured and getting into a fight." All Might hugs Izuku saying, "I'm so proud of you."

Izuku gasps.

All Might says, "From here on out, I will devote myself to training you. You're stuck with me, so let's keep working hard together."

Izuku starts crying and says, "Thank you. Nothing would make me happier, All Might."

All Might says still hugging Izuku but also crying himself, "What'd I say about keepin' your word, ya little crybaby? I thought we agreed that you'd stop it with the waterworks."

Izuku wails and hugs All Might tighter.

Izuku says to me, "Only a slight pain lingered on my cheek. I barely felt it, so I knew it was true. All Might's reign as top hero has come to an end."
