She'd tied her hair back again.
Inuyasha snuck a peek as he wrapped up the next bouquet, the colourful blooms standing out against the beige paper. He'd applied for the job as a florist's assistant, thinking it would earn him a quick buck, but that was before he'd met the owner.
He was pretty sure his tongue was still somewhere on the floor from the interview.
Her hair was held back with matching Sakura clips today, allowing auburn locks to frame her face and show off her green eyes. The look suited her so well that he'd already made three mistakes that morning, one of which had actually cost her money because he'd cut the roses too short, and they'd had to redo the arrangement.
"How's the next order coming?"
Inuyasha jerked, realizing he'd been caught staring, again, then cursed as the scissors he'd been using to cut the paper sliced through his finger. "Damn it!"
Shunran walked over, then clicked her tongue. "You're really out of it today." Grabbing him by the arm, she pulled him into the back office, sitting him down before pulling out her first aid kit. He winced as blood began to bead around the cut, then blanched when she lifted his hand, putting his finger into her mouth.
Her tongue curled around the cut, wiping it clean before releasing it with a pop, already wrapping it in a bandage. "There you go, good as new." Winking at him, Shunran got to her feet. "Hopefully we won't have to use the kid scissors next time."
Inuyasha felt heat rise to his cheeks as she flounced out of the office.
He was so screwed.
