The provisional licensing exam is upon us and we are doing all we can to make it through the first round. This first test is a free for all. Each of us has put three targets on our bodies. They can go anywhere, as long as they're visible. We've also each been given six special balls that can trigger the spots. If all three of your targets get hit, you're done. I've already done that to one person in the first few minutes. And only the first 100 people to get at least two people out pass and move on to the next round. With me being the only exception since I technically already have my provisional license this is just to make sure I still can keep it so I just have to get 2 people before the time the 100th person passes which isn't hard for me.

I hear Ms. Joke say in the stands, "Hey, Eraser. I'm guessing a lot of our kids will think it's important to finish fast. Like the first ones to pass will be ranked as the top. So they'll want to attack. Immediately."

Dad reponds, "Yes. But teamwork is the key. The wise ones will cooperate and gather information together. But if they're seduced by the urge to win and rush to get points, they'll end up exposing themselves. And then it's all over."

One of Ms. Joke's students, Makabe, says, "None of our attacks are landing."

Shindo says, "I guess we shouldn't be surprised UA won't go down without a fight."

Makabe says, "Maybe not. But we have a plan."

I narrow my eyes seeing how the guy somehow made his balls hard. I look him in the eyes and say, "His Quirk: Stiffening. He can make whatever he touches with his hands super hard. But this Quirk doesn't work on living things."

Makabe throws them to another guy, Toteki, saying, "All done."

Toteki grabs them and says, "I'll take it from here. Just try not to be jealous when I end up finishing ahead of the rest of our class. But I'm sure you won't mind since I'll be reducing enemy numbers with this elegant attack. Target. Lock-On." The guy throws the balls that are now glowing. He continues, "Boomerang. Crescent Moon Trajectory. My aim is always true. And since these projectiles are coming at them from underground, no one will have time to dodge."

Everyone starts looking at the ground as it starts moving as the balls travel through the ground. Izuku looking around says, "Where are they gonna pop out?"

Jiro steps up and says, "Get back, I'll handle this." She plugs her earphone jacks into her new equipment on her hands and punching it into the ground mutters, "Sound Amplification. Amplifier Jack! Heartbeat Distortion!" I watch as it waves through the ground and I just hope it works.

The students gasp and jump above Jiro's attack.

Toteki says, "She's breaking the ground apart. It won't help." I watch as the balls fly out of the now broken ground.

Mineta sees them and gasps before saying, "They're coming straight for me!"

Mina using her acid says, "Maximum strength and viscosity! Protect this perv. Acid Veil!" I smirk seeing how her Quirk dissolved the balls.

Mineta seeing it says, "Wow, thanks! That's such a great move!"

Mina looking at her hand says, "It's my defensive special that creates a melty wall."

Ms. Joke says from the stands, "So, they've been working on ultimate moves already."

Dad responds, "Yes, of course they have."

Tokoyami calls Dark Shadow on him saying, "Black Abyss!"

Izuku seeing Tokoyami says, "Cooler name. And easier to say."

Tokoyami continues with a ball in Dark Shadow's hand, "Now, Dark Shadow. Piercing Twilight Claws."

Dark Shadow's claw goes after the girl but Nakagame somehow shrinks her torso into her legs. Her head pops out and says, "Whew. That was close."

Shindo says, "Interesting. This isn't the Class A from the Sports Festival. It's obvious their training is making them better fighters."

I smirk and say, "You can't expect us to stay the same from months ago. We continue growing every day with our training."

Mera on the speakers says, "Mm. Looks like all the students are still in a stalemate. Not a single one's passed yet. Oh. And don't worry, students, I'll keep you updated with an announcement every time a few students move on to the next round."

Izuku mutters, "What's our strategy? Everyone will be focused on protecting their targets, their weak points. It's going to be basically impossible to hit them by chance. We'll have to aim well and break through their defenses, even if we don't know their powers. Everyone's holding back right now. Watching for their opponents' blind spots and how they use their Quirks. But, at any moment, the real fight will begin."

Shindo says, "All right!"

Ms. Joke's voice comes to me from the stands again, "'At UA, you look further ahead than other schools.' That's a pretty condescending thing to say, Eraser. Do you have any idea how many kids in this world want to be heroes? Strength of will is far more important than going to a famous school or having renown. When you think you're the stars and look down on others, you reveal your weaknesses. That's how you fail."

Shindo says behind some of the other students, "Outta the way." He goes on the ground with his hands and says, "Their defenses are too strong right now. I'll fix that."

Ochaco gasps hearing him.

Shindo says, "Maximum force!" His hands glow as he continues, "Tremoring Earth!"

We all look down at our feet and many yelp as it starts moving and breaking apart.

Tenya gasps and says, "Not good. Everybody run!"

Mina calls, "What the heck is this?"

Mineta says, "His power is insane!"

Ochaco calls, "Deku!" as he falls in the ground.

Shindo says, "We've got Ultimate Moves, too. You didn't think you were the only ones, did ya?"

I hear Shoto's voice come to me as he says, "Tremors. An Earthquake? No. Probably someone's Quirk."

Another female examinee's voice comes asking, "Who has that kinda power?"

And a guy says, "And which school are they from?"

Another girl says, "Don't lose focus. There are enemies everywhere."

Mera on the speaker yawns and says, "Come on. There should be at least one or two who've passed by now. Stop biding your time and get this over with."

I quickly throw more balls at an examinee from Ms. Joke's class as they were distracted watching Shindo's Quirk take my classmates. Just as my balls hit I hear screaming from somewhere else.

Mera says, "Huh?" As two beeps sounded on his screen then he continues to say, "It's about time somebody perked up and passed." He all the sudden yells causing me to hold my ears. Mera yells, "What?! There were 120 people taken down? A single person managed to do that in just one attack? Oh and another person passed as well though she doesn't count in the 100."

I hear Yoarashi sigh and say, "That's the stuff. I won!"

Mera says, "That actually surprised me so much that I'm awake! I assume we'll see a lot of people passing from now on. Everyone, let's get this out of the way so I can take a break. Good? Good."

I quickly walk away and up to the stands to watch my classmates since I'm not allowed to help them anymore.

Izuku gets up rubbing his head and says, "What a Quirk. Although it seems like it would be hard to use in a city." He gasps looking up. Izuku continues, "Oh, no. We've been split up. Is this what Ketsubutsu was planning the entire time? I've gotta find everyone, or at least somebody soon! If I'm alone, I'm done for. The other schools have had so much more time to work together and learn to make decisions in battle. We're behind by a whole year's worth of training, even with everything we experienced." Izuku clenched his fist and mutters, "These are strong students from all over the country. I don't know why, but I'm actually getting pretty excited about this."

I gulp as I watch the girl from Shiketsu, Camie, grab Izuku hitting one of his targets and flip over him. Izuku mutters, "What? This girl came outta nowhere!"

Camie lands and says, "Tag, you're it. Not smart, staring off into space. But...What's really weird is that you're in trouble and still smiling."

Izuku mutters, "I've seen her. She's from Shiketsu High School."

Camie stands laughing and says, "You couldn't be cooler."

I watch stunned as Camie and Izuku face off. And I have a bad feeling that Camie isn't who anyone thinks she is, including her classmates from Shiketsu.
