The provisional licensing exam is upon us. All of our Class of 1-A has passed the first part and now we have to take the second and final part of the licensing exam.

Mera on the speakers says gaining all our attention, "Oh, right. For the 100 of you, plus 1, who passed the first test, please turn your attention to the screen."

We watch as it changes. Izuku says, "It's the test arena."

Ochaco asks, "What happens next?"

On the screen we watch as a building has an explosion go off in it. And multiple other places start getting destroyed as well shocking all examinees.

My whole class almost asks, "Why?"

Izuku says, "Wait. Does that mean...?"

I smirk watching as Mera says on the speaker, "There's only one more round to the exam. Your goal is simple: undertake rescue exercises and save the bystanders who are trapped in these disaster sites."

Kaminari and Mineta say together, "Save the what now?"

Hagakure says with a finger up, "Bystanders. We learned about them in class, remember? They're people at a disaster scene."

Momo having been watching Hagakure turns back to the screen saying, "It can also simply refer to innocent citizens on the street."

Mera continues on the speaker, "Use this time to show us how you will carry out successful rescue procedures once you receive your provisional licenses. Treat this as though it were the real thing."

Izuku gasps and says, "Rescuing."

Shoji says, "On the screen."

Sato gasps and says, "Little kids and old people?"

Mineta says, "That's so dangerous why're they here?"

I roll my eyes at their ignorance.

Mera says, "These specialists have been trained as professional 'persons in need of rescue'. They're very popular. Introducing the 'Help Us Company', also known as HUC for short."

Sero says, "So, they're basically actors, I guess?"

Tsu says thoughtfully, "It's the kind of job you never think about."

Ojiro says, "But a necessary one in our world, since they support our hero training."

Mera says, "The HUC bystanders have dressed up like injured victims and will be located throughout the disaster site. We'll be judging how well you keep them safe as you go about your mission. Oh, by the way. We'll be scoring you on a point system. If you have more points than the benchmark at the time the exercise comes to an end, then you pass the exam. We'll start in ten minutes. Take care of any necessary preparations now."

Tenya steps close to Izuku and says, "This looks familiar."

Izuku nods in response and says, "It's like Kamino Ward. I wonder if they based it off that."

Tenya says, "It's true that the situations are similar. But our only goal then was to rescue Bakugo and Cara from the villains. We let the pros handle search and recovery. And you'll recall, there were many casualties."

Izuku looks more determined and says, "Not this time."

We quickly start getting ready ourselves.

Sero walks over to Kaminari and Mineta saying, "Guys. You gotta listen to this story. It's pretty juicy."

Mineta says looking back at Sero, "What's the rating?"

Sero says with his hand up like it's a secret, "Triple X."

Mineta looks back more saying, "Go on."

Sero down at Mineta and Kaminari's level says with his hand still up, "That fox in the bodysuit from Shiketsu. The one over there."

Kaminari and Mineta look. Kaminari says, "Yeah?"

Mineta says, "If you're just gonna say she's hot, that's obvious. I've had my eyes on her since the moment we crossed paths."

Sero says in a whisper, "Well, get this." Kaminari and Mineta lean in closer as Sero continues, "I saw her hiding in the rocks with Midoriya, buck naked."

Both Kaminari and Mineta scream, "Midoriya!"

Izuku looks back as they run into him.

Mineta says, "What were you doing while the rest of us were just trying to stay alive, you bastard?!"

Kaminari says, "Was this entire test nothing but a joke for you?"

I turn my glare toward them and with my Capture Weapon grab both Mineta and Kaminari off Izuku and say with venom, "Cut it out and act like you are trying to be pros, you idiots. Father would be so disappointed in you both."

Izuku says, "Guys, cool it! What's going on?"

Mineta points at Camie as best he can with my Capture Weapon around him, "Don't play stupid with us! What devious things were you doing with that uber hottie?"

They all stare mouths agape as Camie looks at them. Camie just giggles and waves.

Mineta shrieks and says, "The casual greeting exchanged between a man and woman whose sexual relationship has advanced several bases!"

Kaminari says, "Just how Plus Ultra did you end up going with her?"

Izuku gasps and says, "Uh - Now I get it. Sero talked." Izuku stands up straight continuing, "Listen, guys. Whatever he told you is wrong. It was a side effect of her Quirk. Actually, I had no idea what was happening and almost failed the test."

Izuku gasps as Kaminari says, "But you did see her naked?" I let go of the two idiots and walk back to Shoto.

Izuku says, "Well, sorta."

Mineta says putting a fist up, "Don't you lie to us!"

They turn and look back at Camie who's still waving.

Kaminari asks, "Why is she still waving at you?"

Mineta and Kaminari shake Izuku.

Mineta says, "Give us details, Midoriya, I beg you."

Izuku says, "I told you, nothing weird went down!"

Eijiro stuffing his face looks up and says, "Oh, hey, it's Shiketsu."

Everyone in our class starts paying attention as Shiketsu starts walking towards us.

The hairy one called, Mora, says stopping in front of Bakugo and Eijiro, "Bakugo." I quickly walk up behind Eijiro in case I'm needed with a piece of food in my hand that I munch on.

Bakugo just says, "What?"

Mora says, "I think you met Shishikura in the test. My classmate with the flesh-molding power?"

Eijiro mutters, "So much hair." I nudge Eijiro glaring at him slightly when he looks at me.

Bakugo says, "Yeah. I took him out."

Mora says, "I thought so."

Eijiro gasps.

Mora continues, "I'm guessing he may have acted rudely, or perhaps offended you. He has a tendency to try and push his own values onto others. He probably couldn't help it in your case, since you're pretty famous. I apologize for him. I'd like to build a good relationship between our schools."

Mineta says shaking, "I-I guess he wants to be friends?"

Izuku says, "So he says. But the way they were fighting, it didn't seem that way."

I hear Shoto mutter, "'A good relationship'. But then there's that guy."

Mora says, "Anyway. That's it. And Cara, it is a pleasure to meet you. I've seen and heard of quite a bit of your work. Don't worry though we won't attack not here anyways or without cause."

Yoarashi nods at me and I nod back. Shiketsu turns around to leave us.

Shoto all the sudden calls, "Hey. You with the collar."

Yoarashi stops and Shoto walks towards him.

Shoto asks, "Did I offend you somehow?"

Yoarashi breaths heavily with almost a growl and turns to look at Shoto and I stand beside Shoto ready to defend if needed. Yoarashi turns to him completely and says, "Oh, no, I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings? Well, the thing is, son of Endeavor..."

Both Shoto and I gasp slightly.

Yoarashi continues, "I just can't help but hate both of you. You've changed a little bit since the first time our paths crossed. But you definitely still have your father's eyes."

Shoto's eyes widen as he gasps. I bare my teeth fighting Shadow Wolf from emerging in Shoto's defense.

Mora had turned and asks, "Something wrong, Yoarashi?"

Yoarashi turns and says, "Nope, not a thing, sir!"

Yoarashi starts walking off and I growl loud enough that he can hear causing him to stop and look at me as well as some others around us, "You listen here, Inasa Yoarashi. Shoto is nothing like Endeavor. I know first hand how much of an ass Endeavor is and while Shoto is quiet and reserved with people he doesn't know I will assure you it isn't because he thinks he's better but it is the way he was raised just like you are and how everyone ends up getting a majority of their personalities."

Yoarashi just huffs and says, "Whatever, Cara. Even if you are technically a pro yourself you'll excuse me if I don't take your word for it."

Shoto puts a hand on my shoulder as I fight off Shadow Wolf as Yoarashi continues walking away. Shoto mutters, "My father's eyes?"

Izuku walks towards us and says, "Todoroki...Cara..."

Camie says looking at Izuku from behind him, "See you out there."

Izuku jumps and says, "Ah! Yeah! Sure!"

Mineta and Kaminari come from behind him and Kaminari says quietly, "'See you out there'? What is that supposed to mean?"

Mineta says, "You're an insatiable deviant!"

Izuku says quietly with his hands up to them, "I told you, it's not what you think. That girl is actually super scary."

Momo turns to them and says, "Please. You're acting disgracefully. This test isn't over. You need to focus."

Mineta says, "Just look at her!"

Momo says, "Have you even begun to strategize?"

I watch as Ochaco watches Camie walk away and Ochaco mutters while clenching her fists, "I don't like this. Why do I feel so flustered? I was fine when I was fighting earlier. But now..." Ochaco starts towards Izuku muttering, "Dek-"

But a bell rings cutting her off and all of us look around.

Mera on the speaker says, "Villains have performed a large-scale terrorist attack spanning all of Insert City Name Here. Since most buildings collapsed, there are many injured."

Tsu says, "Guess that's the background story."

Jiro gasps and says, "So, then..."

Tsu looks at Jiro and says, "We're starting."

The box we're in starts opening and I get ready to run.

Mera says, "Due to heavily damaged roads, the first responders have unfortunately been delayed for the time being."

Kaminari says watching the room collapse, "What is with these rooms?"

Mera continues, "Until emergency services arrive, the heroes in the area will lead the rescue efforts. You're task is to save as many people as you can and help the injured. And with that..."

A horn blares as we all run out of the room. Mera screams, "Begin!"

Tenya while running says, "Saving lives is the greatest ambition a hero can have!"

Izuku mutters, "We have to do this properly. And succeed!"

Shindo mutters, "He mentioned points, but he didn't say anything about how we'd actually be scored."

Shoto mutters beside me, "Since we're in the dark, all we can do is follow our training."

Yoarashi says, "Come on, come on, come on, let's do this!" Yoarashi flies in the air with his Quirk.

Tenya says, "Let's start by heading to the closest urban area. We'll work as a team as much as possible."

Our class runs together and many of my classmates say, "Right!"

Bakugo starts to go off again and Mina seeing him says, "You're going on your own again?"

Bakugo growls looking behind him at Kaminari and Eijiro running after him and says, "Why are you damn extras always following me?"

They just grin and say together, "We just wanna!"

Mera on the speaker says, "Right, so, uh...Try to get this over quickly for me, yeah?"

I hear Dad mutter in the stands as I run with a majority of our class up front with Tenya leading, "Rescue exercises."

Tsu says, "Even though this is just a test, it feels pretty real."

Ojiro calls, "Stay alert! Be careful of falling debris and explosions."

Izuku and I stop and gasp as we hear a child crying.

Tenya asks, "What's wrong, Midoriya? Cara?"

Izuku says, "I hear someone."

One of HUC children cries and says, "Help me, please!"

My whole class minus Bakugo, Eijiro, and Kaminari run forward.

Izuku says, "Look! There he is!"

The HUC child says, "My grandpa! He's been crushed. I think he's hurt."

Izuku stops and says, "Oh, no. This looks bad. Where is he?"

The HUC child looks up and says, "'This looks bad'? That's points off your score!"

Izuku yelps.

I ask in a soothing voice while stopping in a crouch in front of him, "It's okay. Does anything hurt? How about your head since you are bleeding? Do you think you can walk? We'll get you somewhere safe. Where is the last place you say your grandpa? We'll find him and bring him to you." I look around and say, "We need to set up somewhere for triage and to administer first aid. With bleeding from the head he might have hit it; so needs checked for a concussion."

The HUC child says, "She's got it right. The first thing you should do is see how bad my injuries are and if I can walk. I'm breathing kinda weird, too, aren't I? And didn't you even notice that I'm bleeding from the head? People with hero licenses should be able to judge a victim's condition in an instant! Like this girl! And she already has a license!"

Izuku shocked mutters, "Are the members of HUC the ones who are gonna be scoring us?"

The HUC child says, "Your gross lack of training is all too apparent right now. The only one who seems to have some is her. You better shape up and pay attention, newbies!"

I hear an examinee nearby say, "All right. Let's rope this area off as a hazard zone."

Another says, "No. That's not enough. Think about it. This whole area's unstable."

Mora in another area says, "I'll clear a path and make a helicopter landing spot. Watch out."

I look up as I hear debris going up from Mora.

Shiketsu High, second year. Nagamasa Mora! His Quirk: Extend-o-Hair! He can grow all the hair on his body and manipulate it at will. The only bad thing is how easily it gets tangled.

Yoarashi says having watched him, "That was awesome, Mora! You're amazing."

Shindo in another spot putting a flag in the ground says, "Here's the first-aid station."

Makabe says bringing a person, "There's a lot of space. We can make part of this an evacuation zone."

Shindo nods and says, "Good."

Nakagame says, "I'll be in charge of triage. Leave the setup to me."

I say to my classmates, "From what I hear Ketsubutsu is setting up an evacuation zone and triage area so one of us needs to take this child to that area and make sure they know the possible injuries." Some of my classmates nod.

I hear Dad in the stands as he rubs the back of his head and says, "When it comes to saving innocent lives, experience really does make a difference."

The HUC child says, "You're not just here to provide aid. Until the police and firefighters show up, you need to exercise authority and make sure this goes off smoothly. Think of the victims here. They must be terrified. There are many aspects of being a hero. But take note. There is one thing to keep in mind above all else. Anyone who needs rescuing is having the worst day of their lives. And the first thing you said was 'This looks bad'? Seriously? Be more like this girl."

Izuku gasps. Izuku remembering something growls and smacks his face with both hands and mutters, "I've got to get it together. I need to do my best. Passing this test and getting my license aren't just things I have to do to succeed at school. They're essential if I'm going to become a real hero. The kind I want to be. Steps toward achieving my dream!" Izuku looks up and crouches down and says smiling at the HUC child, "Hey! It's fine!"

The HUC child starts sobbing and says, "Over there! My grandpa!"

Izuku crouches down in front of him and says, "Don't you worry. We'll definitely save him." Izuku turns back to the rest of our class and says, "I can carry this boy to the first aid station myself. You guys, go on without me!"

Tenya nods and says, "All right."

Mineta nods and says, "Let's do this."

I lead the others away with Tenya and the rest of my class says, "Yeah!"

Izuku running with the HUC child says, "It'll be all right! It'll be all right."

The HUC child asks, "Is that your only line? You're terrible at this."

Izuku says, "I'll save you! I promise I will!"

The HUC child screams, "Shut up!"

I hear Ochaco mutter watching him, "This buzz in my chest. What am I doing? I've gotta push these feelings down. Deku is giving his all to reach his goal. No room for anything else. I don't wanna change that. I'll put these feelings away. I'll focus on working just as hard as he does. And reach my dream." Ochaco quickly runs after us.

Mera says in the booth to himself, "It's been ten minutes since we started. Everyone's doing well for the most part. But there's still a ways to go. What's a test without a few surprises. I hope they didn't think things would be straightforward."

I slow slightly hearing footsteps in a tunnel and wonder what surprise is going to come.
