Bakugo starts stretching to get ready.

Izuku asks nervous stepping back slightly, "Y-You really wanna do this?"

Bakugo says continuing to stretch, "If you don't wanna get hurt, punch back. Oh, yeah, you switched to using kicks more these days, didn't you?"

Izuku continuing to back up with his hands up says, "Come on, stop! This isn't smart."

Bakugo uses a blast to propel himself at Izuku who screams, "Kacchan!" Izuku watches as Bakugo's right arm starts coming around and Izuku mutters, "A right hook? No. I got him like this before. He'll remember. That's a feint." All the sudden Bakugo makes multiple small explosions in his right palm and throws it at Izuku.

Izuku is forced back grunting with Full Cowling appearing on him as he had jumped back to avoid a majority of the blast.

Bakugo says his face in his elbow slightly, "You know your problem? You're always over-thinking things." He turns to Izuku screaming, "Just fight me!"

Izuku says, "You're serious? You wanna spar?"

Bakugo blasts towards Izuku and Izuku using Full Cowling dodges his attack though Bakugo is quick to turn in the air and throw a blast at Izuku. Multiple buildings in Ground Beta explode.

A security robot says hiding behind a corner, "Two students from Class 1-A identified breaking curfew. Contacting their homeroom teacher now."

Dad turns from his computer when a screen on his wall by the door says, "Hey. Eraserhead! Your students are loitering at Ground Beta! You're responsible for rounding them up."

Dad says, "Are you kidding me?"

Dad gets up and goes out of his room.

My head snaps up startling me out of my thoughts as I hear the door of Heights Alliance 1-A open below me, Dad scratching his head having been the one to open it says, "Who would be stupid enough to sneak out?"

Dad stops in his tracks when a deflated All Might appears in front of him.

I snap my head looking towards Ground Beta as I hear sounds of fighting and both Izuku and Bakugo's voices.

Izuku says, "You have to stop this. Why hurt each other when we could just talk things out?"

Bakugo glaring at Izuku with explosions in his left palm going off.

Izuku continues desperate, "You were right to look up to All Might like you did. I know just how much he meant to you when we were growing-"

Bakugo had shot up into the air with a blast and tried to smack into Izuku.

Izuku jumping to avoid it saying, "I told you to wait!"

Bakugo growls remembering Izuku when they were little saying, "Wait for me! Please! Kacchan!"

Bakugo says, "You were always behind me. Our whole lives."

Bakugo remembers Izuku holding a hand out after he'd fallen off the bridge asking, "Are you all right?"

Bakugo continues, "You were stuck to me. I couldn't get rid of you. No matter how much I tried, you kept coming back."

Izuku watching says, "Listen to me!"

Izuku again dodges as Bakugo goes after him again. Bakugo growls and says, "Stop running! Stand up and fight! We both admired him. So why?"

Bakugo starts going after Izuku as he remembers All Might saying after Izuku and Ochaco had beat him in combat training the first time, "In small doses, pride can be an useful attribute to have. I'd say you certainly have the ability to become a pro hero." Next he remembers All Might saying during the practical final exam, "I know why you're so angry, Young Bakugo. Because of Young Midoriya's sudden improvement, right? But you have to remember each of your rankings when the year first began. It's much easier to level up when you're a novice."

Bakugo going after Izuku again says, "Why?"

Izuku grabs his arm to stop him.

Bakugo kicks Izuku in the chin causing him to grunt.

Bakugo screams, "Why?"

Bakugo tries to get a sneak attack with his explosions on him but Izuku does a flip kicking towards Bakugo and dodging the blast.

Bakugo screams with his explosions making fire in the air, "Tell me!" Bakugo lands on the ground.

Izuku pants standing watching Bakugo.

Izuku gasps and starts running toward Bakugo with his hand out saying, "Hey. Are you all right?"

Bakugo smacks Izuku's hand away yelling, "Don't you dare worry about me! Attack me!" Bakugo stands back up continuing, "Why won't you fight back?" Bakugo coughs a little and says, "Why did I end up having to chase after someone who was always so far behind me? Why did a damn small fry like you get strong and become the number-one hero's sidekick? His favorite? You got so much better, and I destroyed All Might. I admired him so much. But it's because of me that he ended up losing his power! If I had been stronger...If I hadn't been kidnapped by villains...Then it never would have happened. And even Cara got kidnapped trying to protect me. And she got so hurt she hasn't been right since." Bakugo wipes his face and says, "All Might knows it was my fault, but hasn't said anything. Everyone has to know, though! I can't get it out of my head. It's like it's constantly playing on loop. So, what the hell am I supposed to do?!"

Izuku watches stunned and mutters, "No. He's been carrying this guilt with him the whole time? Even more than me. He's been blaming himself. Obsessing over it. It turned out our fight wasn't what I thought it would be. It didn't really matter who won or lost. That wasn't the point. Even so. I felt like I had to go through with it."

Izuku starts his Full Cowling.

Bakugo starts walking forward and eventually breaks into a run.

Izuku continues muttering, "Because, in that moment, I was the only person in the world who understood how Kacchan felt."

Izuku grounds himself in anticipation for Bakugo's attack.

Bakugo growls launching forward towards Izuku.

Izuku kicks Bakugo in the face.

Izuku mutters, "This is actually good. I can see whether or not my Shoot Style works against him."

Izuku straightens back up and turns back to Bakugo. Izuku says causing Bakugo to look at him, "If I'm gonna do this. I'm going all out. I refuse to be your punching bag, Kacchan. Let's go!"

Izuku mutters watching him, "He just needed to vent his emotions, and fighting was the only way he knew how. I couldn't ignore him or run off. Not after everything we'd been through. Our relationship to one another was totally screwed up. Kindergarten, elementary especially when Cara showed up, middle school, high school. We'd known each other for so long, but until that point...we'd never talked about how we really felt."

Bakugo grunts using a blast to go forward into the air and then back down towards Izuku.

Izuku mutters watching, "Above!"

When Bakugo hits the ground turning his explosion blue from the heat of it, Izuku jumps back to avoid getting hit directly.

Izuku mutters, "That was close." Izuku gasps looking at Bakugo.

Bakugo mutters, "Can't let him think." Bakugo goes forward again causing Izuku to jump.

Izuku mutters in the air watching, "He'll be on me before I land. This is bad."

Bakugo goes to grab Izuku.

Izuku mutters, "Watch out for his hand."

Bakugo yells as he misses Izuku by an inch and Bakugo causes a big explosion on the ground to go into the air growling again.

Izuku gasps as he lands seeing Bakugo behind him.

Bakugo yells as he punches Izuku in the stomach sending Izuku flying backwards and into a railing denting it with a groan. Bakugo uses an explosion to go forward grunting. Izuku having heard him grabs the railing above him and uses it to flip up to try to avoid Bakugo's blast. Bakugo grabs Izuku's hand and tries to swing him around.

Izuku mutters, "No time to catch my breath."

Bakugo yells throwing Izuku. Izuku grunts hitting the ground a few times.

Izuku starts getting up and mutters, "It's no good. He's not giving me any time to try and predict his moves. His reaction times have gotten faster. Much better than the last time we fought."

Bakugo gets up from the railing and watches Izuku.

Izuku says smirking while watching Bakugo, "I guess I shouldn't be surprised that we've both been getting stronger."

Bakugo says, "What're you smiling about, huh?!" Bakugo shoots forward with a blast.

Izuku jumps backwards to dodge and ends up landing on his butt.

Bakugo says, "I thought you weren't gonna be my punching bag!"

Izuku gets up and goes forward saying, "I'm not!"

Bakugo says, "I bet you've got some kinda plan up your sleeve." Bakugo created an explosion to stun Izuku causing a lot of light and Izuku uses his arm to shield his eyes. Bakugo had gotten closer and punches Izuku in the face continuing, "That's one of the things I hate most about you!"

Izuku had jumped on the side of a building to get away from Bakugo and Bakugo followed with explosions.

Bakugo says, "I can never tell what you're thinking."

Izuku coughs in the air.

Bakugo continues, "No matter how much I beat you up, you keep coming back! It's obvious you've always looked down on me. Even when we were kids."

Izuku gasps all the sudden.

Bakugo says, "You think you're better than me. But if you seriously believe you're gonna surpass me as a hero, even with your new power, you better think again, Deku!"

Izuku looking stunned at Bakugo says, "Wait. Is that what you actually believed? All this time?" Izuku stands normal and says, "Think about it, Kacchan. If I looked down on you, I wouldn't want anything to do with you anymore." Izuku clenches his fist tighter as he continues, "But I'm still here. I noticed things you couldn't all these years because I had nothing at first. Cara too. There were things I hated about you, sure. But I could clearly see how amazing you were. You had so much going for you that I didn't have." Izuku starts having power go in all of his body and it turns to Full Cowling. Izuku gets ready to shoot forward saying, "All Might was my hero, but you and Cara were the ones actually in my life." Izuku runs forward.

Bakugo mutters, "He's faster than before."

Izuku goes to kick Bakugo muttering, "Because I was so emotional, I lost a bit of control. I'd been focusing on keeping my Full Cowling at five percent power the entire time. But I didn't realize how much stronger my body had gotten thanks to all the training and testing."

Bakugo gets ready to block Izuku's kick muttering, "I can't dodge. Gotta block!" Bakugo puts his arms up to block Izuku's kick.

Izuku continues muttering, "My continuous whole-body limit had been raised to eight percent." Izuku then says at a normal level, "I thought you were incredible, Kacchan. I wanted to see...what you'd become!"

Izuku lands his kick on Bakugo's crossed arms making Bakugo grunt.

Izuku kicks again saying, "That's the reason...I kept chasing after you."
