A/N: I'm back, baby! Sorry for the wait, everyone. I hope that I didn't make you all wait too long. Hopely, this fic was worth the wait for all of you!
Please enjoy!
"I wonder what's so special about this viewing?" Ruby asked curiously.
"No clue, but if it's something that D likes, it might be awesome," Yang answers. Seeing that D made an excited expression for the first time showed that this viewing might be fantastic to watch.
"Shush! It's starting!" Nora shushes them as the screen starts.
Saber is standing on a balcony, staring at the mountains on the horizon, and Iri is walking through the wrecked hallways of the mansion. This occurred after Kiritsugu left to continue his plans to take out Lancer and his Master.
"It would seem we are back at the castle." Ozpin points out.
"And the castle is still damaged," Glynda adds.
Suddenly Iri feels a disturbance. On the outside, lightning is seen throughout the forest. Iri collapses to her knees.
"Uh oh!" Penny gasped, knowing full well what that reaction meant.
"Looks like we have another unwanted guest." Coco comments.
Lightning courses through wheels as a particular chariot makes its way through the forest, carried by bulls.
Nora gasps in excitement, knowing who is invading the castle now. "It's Rider!"
"So the King of Conquerors decide to invade." Qrow comments.
"Is it? I mean, invading a castle that just recently took a beating? Not sure that's Rider's Style." Tai comments, knowing that Rider won't accept that kind of conquest.
"Then why is he there?" Jaune questioned.
Saber comes running to the same hallway where Iri is. She looks around and notices the Homunculus slumped against the wall, "Irisviel!" She runs to her aid and kneels at her side.
"Are you okay?"
"They waited until Kiritsugu left before attacking..." Iri realizes.
Saber looks out one of the broken windows. "Those lightning and the violent way of arriving," She looks back at Iri. "The enemy... It's possibly Rider."
"It would seem that Saber knows that Rider is coming." Winter comments.
"Now, how will this play out?" James questioned curiously at what will come next.
(There's no Opening this time)
"Hm? No opening?" Ruby tilted her head.
"Looks like we do not have it for this one." Pyrrha answers.
Rider makes his way to the palace entrance through the door Keyneth wrecked and pulls back his bulls. "Woaaaah," He said as they stopped.
Saber and Irisviel arrive as well. On her combat gear, the Servant of the Sword looked at the Servant of the Chariot in the hallway below the stairs.
Rider, not in his combat gear but in casual clothes, gives them a friendly wave, "Yo, Saber!"
There's a moment of silence where the two females look at the King of Conquerors in shock.
There was also a moment of silence from the audience. They didn't know what to say at Rider's arrival in such a way.
"What is he…?" Weiss slowly said, not understanding what she was witnessing.
"Rider..." Saber says, surprised yet standing defensively in front of Iri.
"I heard you guys had a castle, so I came to check it out," Rider explains, looking around. Waver is behind him, leaning against the chariot and sighing, no doubt tired from his Servant's rough way of traveling. "But it's too gloomy for my tastes."
"…He's not…" Winter finally realized what the Servant was doing.
Qrow, who followed up at what was going just laughed, liking Rider more than before, getting a few to look at him in confusion and some catching on at what was happening.
He looks back at the two, who are still processing the fact that an enemy was being so friendly.
"And what's with that gear for combat?" Rider questions. "You're not using trending clothes for tonight?" He smacks his fist against his chest with pride, showing his modern shirt.
"Yes… I'm baffled at what is going on here!" Weiss says, annoyed at what was happening.
"You still don't get it?" Blake questions the heiress as she raises a brow.
"Get what?" Weiss says in annoyance.
"Rider," Saber finally calls. "Why have you come here?"
"Uh? You don't know?" He asks. He grabs a large barrel on his chariots and lifts it over his shoulder. "To share some drinks, what else?" He explains with a smile. "Come on, don't stand there and show me every corner of this palace! Surely the garden is big enough for us to have our banquet. We won't do it in the castle. There's too much dust here!"
"…WHAT!?" Weiss shouts in disbelief, now finally getting that it.
"He's not serio–, oh, who am I kidding? This King basically does what he wants." Glynda rubs her forehead giving up on finding a reason for the Rider.
"I can't help but agree with you…" Sienna agrees with a look that has given up on understanding the Servant.
Once again, the two women share a look, completely baffled at the giant man's behavior.
…
The mansion's garden was no short of beautiful, with blue flowers reflecting the moon's glow, giving a magical touch to the place.
"Wow… so pretty…" Pyrrha said as she marveled at the garden's beautiful view and the others.
"It's even more beautiful than our garden," Winter admits as she sees the garden in awe. It is as if that garden was from a fairy tale.
In a show of brute strength, Rider smashed the barrel open while Saber never let her eyes from her possible opponent.
Rider uses a wooden spoon to serve himself wine and starts gulping it loudly.
"What? No cups?" Coco raises a brow.
"He must have forgotten," Penny guessed.
He sighs satisfactorily at the drink and looks at the knight. "The Grail is supposed to belong to who deserves it the most. And the battle occurring here, in Fuyuki City, will determine who that person is. But if it is a choice, there's no need to shed blood. If the other Heroic Spirits realized the power of the others, then the issue would solve on itself," He says while handing Saber a spoonful of wine.
"He's not wrong." Ozpin agreed with Rider's comment.
"Highly doubt that he is the only one who would think of that logic," James added, knowing well that despite the King of Conquerors' positive thinking, it's not that simple for other war candidates to agree with.
Saber takes the spoon and gives Rider a look. She brings the wine to her lips, downs it on one goal, and then extends the utensils back to Rider with a defiant look.
"Not bad." Qrow hums in approval at Saber's action with alcohol.
Tai just rolled his eyes at his brother-in-law.
Rider smirks at this and grabs it back. "Oh?"
"So you wanted to start by comparing yourself with me, Rider?" Saber asked.
"A comparison between kings?" Sienna says with slight interest, understanding why the deity liked this particular episode.
"I'm curious to see how this will play out." Ghira hums in interest as well.
Rider smirks at this. "Exactly," He confirms. "Since the two of us are kings, this is something we can't overlook. You could say this is the Dialogue of the Grail instead of the war. Who of us would be a better king for the Grail?"
"Isn't there one more king?" Jaune questions remembering about Archer being a king himself.
"He probably was left out," Ren says.
As he says this, the wind passes by the garden, an almost challenging aura between the two.
"The issue will solve itself while we drink," Rider explains, while Saber listens closely.
"Enough foolishness," A new voice says while golden particles form a body in the garden. Saber gets ready to fight, while Rider watches with interest, "Mongrels," Gilgamesh strides towards them with his usual attitude.
"Or not." Ren finished.
"So the King of Heroes did appear," Kali says, a bit nervous and honestly couldn't help but feel a bit pressured that three kings are in the same place.
"Archer! Why are you here," Saber asks hotly.
"Ah, I saw him on the town, so I thought of inviting him as well," Rider explains. "You're late, though, goldy. But considering you came here on foot, unlike me, I guess it can be helped."
"He just invited him like that?" Blake raised a brow incredulously that Rider would just–, no, scratch that, she shouldn't question Rider's thought process at this point anymore.
"That guy is really unpredictable." Yang wasn't sure if she should respect it or just find it ridiculous.
"Oum, that guy really does what he wants, huh?" Tai comments in disbelief and amazement.
"So you decided to have a banquet in such a depressing place?" Gilgamesh questions as he looks down at them.
"A bundle of joy as usual." Coco sarcastically says.
He turns his gaze to Iri, who flinches at seeing the powerful Servant. "How are you going to compensate for the stupidity of making me walk to come here?"
"He walked there?" Pyrrha questions, not understanding since the Servant seemed to just appear out of thin air.
"Technically, he did walk there." D answers. "Even in spirit form, that doesn't mean you are physically there, just like everyone else. Anyone could just walk there. Only there invisible."
Waver staggers back as he looks at the Servant before tripping and falling on his butt.
"Oh. Waver didn't know. That would explain why he didn't look terrified like usual." Blake says.
"Didn't look terrified back then, more like uncomfortable." Kali corrected her daughter.
"Come now, don't say that," Rider says. He offers him the spoon. "Here, let's get started!" He says while Saber relaxes but keeps her eyes on the Servant of the bow.
Archer grabs the spoon and brings it close to her face, taking a sip before scoffing in disgust. "Hmph. What is this garbage? Do you plan on bribing a Heroic Spirit with something like that?"
"Not to his liking?" Qrow raised a brow, curious as to why the King of Heroes prefers his wine but then again, there were a dozen wine bottles he scattered around in the church—probably looking for a good one.
"That so?" Rider's face fell at the rejection while grabbing back the spoon. "It's the best I could get from the local market."
"That's because you're ignorant about drinks," Gilgamesh says while raising his hand, "You filthy mongrel."
"And what does he know about a good drink?" Qrow raised his brow, curious about what the Archer Servant was getting at.
A small portal opens on his palm, causing Waver to flinch in fear. He turns his hand upside down, and a golden jar appears. Rider admires the beauty of the object. "Woah!"
"Wow… that's a pretty jar," Ruby says in awe. "Is that from his Noble Phantasm?"
"I wonder what's inside? Wine, maybe?" Jaune guessed.
"Admire and understand your foolishness," Gilgamesh says, opening another small portal, and three golden cups emerge. "This is a drink worthy of a king." He tosses two cups to them.
"Now, this shall do!" Rider says, grabbing the cups and serving the drinks.
"Well, this is certainly becoming interesting," Ozpin admitted as he recalled the times when kings would gather to meet in similar events.
Iri observes the scene, not exactly knowing what to do in this situation. She looks at Rider's Master and gives him an accusatory glare. Waver notices and quickly waves his hand, showing he had no choice in his Servant's decision for this event.
"Yup. Was left out from knowing." Roman comments while Neo nods in agreement grinning at the young Master's expression.
"I'm surprised he didn't know," Penny says.
"Either he didn't know or just gave up on his Servant's antics." Weiss snarks.
Rider serves the drinks to Saber and himself then they start downing the drinks.
"Woah-hoah! This is good!" Rider says, looking at his drink. Even Saber is impressed by the taste.
"They seem to like it," Qrow says, getting a little interested in having a taste of the wine they are drinking.
"You're not getting any if that's what you are thinking," D says to the drunk.
"Why not!?" The Drunken Huntsmen questions.
"Because I say so," D answered while also thinking that if he did have a taste, he wouldn't stop asking for it. "And you're going to quit drinking in the future anyway."
"On my shelf, you shall only find the best drinks," Archer explains and drinks a bit of the wine. Once satisfied, he continued. "This should prove who the true King is."
"He is arrogant." Sienna groans in annoyance.
"Can't even hold his tongue in a peaceful gathering." Winter's eyes twitched in annoyance, secretly agreeing with the White Fang leader.
While Saber gives him a look of disapproval, Rider starts talking.
"Archer, your drink is no doubt worthy of compliments," He says, waving a hand and smirking at the King of Heroes. "Unfortunately, the Holy Grail is not just a cup to drink. First, you have to tell us the kind of wish you have for the Grail."
This got everyone's attention the moment when Rider spoke about wishes.
"Oh? Now, this is getting interesting." James admitted as he and the others listened attentively.
"I wonder what possible wish the King of Heroes would desire in this war?" Glynda wondered curiously at what the Archer Servant desires.
"Stop assuming, mongrel," Gilgamesh scoffs while Saber stays silent for now. "The sole premise of having to fight for the Grail doesn't make sense, as it is," He declares and continues drinking, while Rider gives a confused grunt.
"What? Doesn't make sense?" Nora says in confusion. "Isn't the whole point of the war, is to get a rule-free wish?"
"What does Archer know that makes him say that?" Ren adds.
"The Grail already belongs to me," Archer explains. "Each and every one of the treasures that exist has their origin with mine."
"Of course…" Weiss deadpans, wondering why she bothered expecting the King of Heroes to say.
"Wow… and here I thought there would be, I don't know, a conspiracy in the Holy Grail War?" Jaune shrugs.
"That would be a bit interesting," Blake admitted, while others also agreed with that idea.
"You all have no idea…" D mentally says, knowing how right Jaune unknowingly is.
"What? You're saying you've possessed the Grail before?" Rider asks. "Then do you know how it is?"
"No," Archer denied, much to Rider's confusion. "Don't look at things from your mongrel point of view. It's been a long time since I've known the quantity of my treasure. But the fact that it is a treasure is enough for the Grail to be mine. And whoever puts their hands on it..." He glares at them, "It's nothing more than a filthy thief."
"…What?" Nora blinked a couple of times in confusion. "So, it's his… but not his…?"
"I… think so…?" Pyrrha said, also confused.
"So he doesn't have a wish? Because the Grail is already his?" Penny questions, equally confused as everyone else.
"Brothers above… He is just so arrogant!" Sienna growls in annoyance at Archer's bluntness. At this point, she doesn't care if it has anything to do with him being human.
"Your words are no different from Caster's babblings," Saber says casually. "It seems he's not the only Servant that has gone mad," Her words make Gilgamesh give her an incredulous look, almost offended as if finding her words hard to believe.
"Oh! Burn!" Yang grinned.
"Glad there's someone who could talk back to him," Glynda says with a small smile with a bit of satisfaction.
"Well, I don't know..." Rider says while gulping his drink. He gives them a wink and a smirk. "I think I know what Goldie's true name is," He tells them, surprising them aside from Archer, though it's obvious he will keep his suspicions to himself.
"Not really a surprise at this point for us." Velvet shrugged but was still unsettled at the fact that the King of Heroes was a demigod.
"Just glad we got that out in our system already," Coco added.
He turns to said Servant, a question in his mind. "Then, Archer, you do not wish the Grail, right?"
"Of course not," Gilgamesh explains. "But I must apply my justice over those who try to steal my treasure. It's the principle of the matter," He explains, taking a drink while Saber observes him.
"He is so confusing…" Ruby tilted her head in confusion.
"I get what he says… sort off…" Yang said, understanding in a way that if her stuff were stolen, she would have gotten angry, but in Archer's case… she honestly doesn't know how to respond to that.
"Okay then, Archer," Rider says. "What's this justice you talk about?"
"The law," The king declares. "Is my law that I have established as king. If someone breaks the law, I punish them. There's no room for discussions."
"That… honestly makes sense," Ozpin says, surprising his peers.
"Sir?" Glynda questioned.
"As the first recorded king, he is the first to establish the laws that we probably know to this date." The Headmaster of Beacon answered, getting a few understandings of where he was going.
"Well, isn't that lovely." Roman sarcastically says as Neo just frowns, not liking Laws herself.
Rider grunts, understanding, while Waver and Irisviel observe them nervously. "Then there's nothing left for us, except for clashing swords," Rider says while taking a refill.
"So they accept each other's reasoning to fight for the Grail." James comments.
"King of Conquerors," Saber calls, making Rider look at her. "You realize someone claims to possess the Grail by right, and yet you will still take it by force?" She questions and accuses at the same time. "Why do you desire the Grail for?"
Finally! This they get to hear what the King of Conquer's wish is. The audience paid more attention to this specific topic.
"I wonder what his wish could be?" Nora asks in excitement. "I bet he wishes to conquer the world."
"Sounds too easy." Blake denies seeing that it would be too easy for him while also curious about Rider's wish.
Rider seems embarrassed by the question. He takes a large gulp from his drink and then sets his cup down, his eyes closed.
This got the viewers even more interested in seeing such a reaction from a king like Iskander.
Everyone else watches in interest, waiting for his response.
He opens his mouth and reveals his wish, "Reincarnation."
"Huh?" Almost everyone says they were not expecting that at all.
"Huh?" Both Servants ask.
"Huh!?" His Master, too, shouts in shock as he gets up and runs to him, "Hey, you, I thought your goal was to conquer the worl-" He is interrupted when Rider flicks his forehead and sends him flying and causing the poor boy to bounce on the floor, various times, while Iri watches in surprise.
"So he doesn't want to use the wish to conquer the world?" Nora asks, disappointed it wasn't her guest but also curious as to why Rider wasn't to be reincarnated, at the same time ignoring Waver's actions and getting hurt.
"Why would he wish for that instead?" Kali curiously asks.
"Why indeed?" Ozpin says, out of all of the audience, that he wanted to know since he was capable of reincarnation.
"You fool," Rider says. Saber turned to look directly at the king after her gaze went to the young Master. "Even with mana giving out a human form, we are still Servants."
"He has a point…" Winter slowly understood Rider's wish. "If he wishes for world conquest, he will simply return to Throne of Heroes before he could bask in the glory. Isn't that right?"
Winter says to the deity, who nods at the Specialists answer. "That's right. At the war's end, all the Servants must return to the Throne." D says but leaves out a crucial part: all Servants must be eliminated for the Grail to be activated.
Rider looks at his palm with a stern expression. "I want to come back to this world as a living human!" He declares, clenching his fist. "And with my own body, I will defy heaven and earth. That's what True Conquest is about." He finishes while grabbing his cup. Iri and Waver listen to the proclamation made by the King of Conquerors. "That's how it starts, how it proceeds, and how it finishes." He grabs his cup and takes large gulps from them. "That's my way of conquest."
"That… actually makes sense…" Sienna couldn't believe she actually agreed with the Rider Servant's reasoning.
"I won't deny that it's actually an admirable wish." James agreed, seeing nothing wrong with continuing one's desired passion in a new life. Granted, it may have been regarding someone involved in conquest, yet he couldn't help but feel that it's alright that the King of Conquest can do the conquering.
"In an odd way, I can't help but respect that." Weiss slowly says, somewhat accepting something she can respect.
Others were starting to respect Rider's wish. Even Ozpin felt a pang of jealousy that the King of Conquerors is using his wish to possibly second give himself a second chance in life and start his conquest again.
Saber kept her eyes close as Rider said his usual mantra. "That's not how a king should be," She says, opening her eyes.
"What? It's not?" Ruby innocently asks, tilting her head. "I don't think it's anything wrong. I mean, war is never good, but I doubt Rider will go all out in the violence."
"Maybe it's her own way of being king?" Tai answered. "We know that these three have different points of view of being kings."
"But we don't know what kind of king Saber, aside from her title." Qrow points out, curious at what made the King of Knights say that.
While Archer is indifferent, Rider looks at the woman. "Oh? Then tells us what you wish, then."
"Yes! We get to know what Saber's wish is." Ruby says it in excitement as she eagerly listens while the majority of the viewers also listen.
Saber closed her eyes, and the two kings gave their full attention while waiting for her answer. "I wish for the salvation of my homeland."
"…What?" Everyone said/muttered, not understanding what she said.
At the same time, D just sighs, knowing very well about Saber's reason for her wish, but the consequences if it is fulfilled and the reactions that will come from her fellow kings.
At this, while Gilgamesh's expression stays the same, Rider's expectant smile becomes a frown.
"With the Omnipotent Device capable of conceding any wish, I will save Britain of the disgrace to which it is destined," Saber declares proudly.
"Disgrace…?" Sienna whispers in confusion. What was the King of Knights talking about? As much as she wanted to hide it, she couldn't help but respect the secret female knight king, so she had to wonder what could have happened in her past that
Ozpin listened in silence, slowly understanding that something happened in Saber's past that would make her want to change it. In truth, he wanted to do something very similar to his past. And yet… why did it feel that it would be a terrible mistake?
Rider puts his cup down. "Hey... King of Knights, you're saying you want to change destiny? Or, in other words, you want to change the past?" He asks as if to clarify.
"Changing destiny…?" Pyrrha didn't know why but hearing those words made her chest tighten, which she held with her right hand.
"Is it me… or is this starting to get really heavy now?" Jaune gulped nervously, seeing how this conversation was starting to get tense.
"Exactly," Saber confirms. "Even if my wish can be made by a miracle, if the Holy Grail is truly Omnipotent, I'm sure it will..."
Before she can finish, Archer starts laughing.
The King of Heroes' laughter caught everyone off guard, making them slightly cringe in their seats.
"W-What?!" Velvet jumped from the sudden laughter.
"What's his deal?" Coco said, creeped out, never seeing Archer laugh like that. Instead, this was the first time seeing the Servant laugh. She did not like it at all.
Saber glares at him, but then Rider starts talking. "Listen, Saber... Are you sure you're not saying you reject the mark you left in history?"
"What…? Saber's rejecting her history?" Weiss says in disbelief.
"What does he mean by that?" Penny questioned, feeling a bit nervous now. "Does Saber not acknowledge her own achievements of her past?"
"She said 'disgrace'. It could probably mean she wants to change her mistakes." Ren said, trying to find a reason for Saber's desire for the wish.
"Exactly!" She says. "Why do you frown? Why do you laugh? The country that gave me my sword, the country to which I gave my life to, it was destroyed. Why is it strange that I lament?"
The audience gasped, not expecting this at all.
"Her kingdom was… destroyed?" Kali gasped in horror as she covered her mouth with her hands.
"Is that why she wants to change her past?" Ghira widens his eyes in horror and realizations. He and the others now understand Saber's reason for changing her past, basically changing her Legend.
Yet, despite their understanding, they can't understand why the two other Servants react differently to Saber's wish.
"Hey, hey, did you hear that, Rider?" Archer asked in an amused tone. "The things this little girl calling herself King of Knights is saying?! "The country to which I gave my life to," She says!" Gilgamesh laughs. As if what Saber says was the greatest joke he ever heard.
"Wha? Why the hell is he mocking Saber!?" Yang shouted as her eyes turned red. "What's so wrong with Saber's wish?"
"Right? What could so be funny for saving a kingdom?" Blake narrowed her eyes, demanding to know what could possibly be so wrong with her having that wish.
Rider just continues to frown while Saber stands up.
"What's so funny about it!?" She demands. "A king should sacrifice everything for the prosperity of their kingdom!"
"She's… not wrong…" Ozpin slowly said, admitting that truth.
"But wouldn't changing the past affect her as well?" Glynda questioned, confused at this point now.
"No, that's wrong," Rider says, calling her attention. "The king doesn't sacrifice anything. The country and the people sacrifice themselves for the king. It's never the opposite."
"WHAT!?" Weiss shouted in pure disbelief. She may not be the leader of her team, but she knows that is something she can never acknowledge. "WHAT DOES HE MEAN BY THAT?!"
"First of all, stop yelling!" Coco shouted, making the heiress shut up. "Second of all, where the hell did that come from?"
"I know! One second, he was carefree, and now he's being all tyrant-like?" Blake questions, not expecting this swing in personality like that.
"Something doesn't add up… why would he say that?" Ghira questions, pondering why the King of Conquerors would say that. Is it because of the title he holds? Or perhaps a lesson he is trying to teach Saber.
"Ozpin. What exactly is Rider saying?" James questioned his friend. Honestly, he didn't know how to react to this, but he had his fair share of encountering bad leaders and learning it from Remnant's history of bad leaders.
Still, honestly, the Atlas Headmaster didn't see Iskandar as a lousy king per se with how he witnessed his carefree attitude and charismatic moments. The General admits that he found some respect for him, but with this sudden turn of events, he was not entirely sure anymore.
"I'm… not sure… let's see how this plays out." Ozpin slowly says in his past life, he had his encounters with tyrant kings but is curious to see what Rider has to say for himself.
"What?" Saber mutters in shock. "Those are the words of a tyrant."
Even Saber agrees! Seriously. What is going on here!?" Jaune questioned, wanting to know what was happening now.
"He better have an explanation of himself." Yang narrowed her eyes. Archer was one thing. But Rider? She hoped there was a reason because she liked the Servant's carefree attitude.
"Please let there be a reason…" Nora whispers, not liking how this is going so far.
"Exactly," Rider says matter-of-factly.
Almost everyone gasped again at the blunt honesty.
"I wonder how many times everyone will keep gasping?" D mused in thought as he counted that this was the most everyone had gasped at once in a single viewing.
"Damn… he didn't even hesitate." Roman blinked a couple of times, honestly not expecting that carefree Servant to answer with brutal honesty. Even Neo blinked a couple of times in shock, both surprised and impress.
"I don't understand… why does he admit he's a tyrant?" Penny questions in confusion. In her understanding that being a tyrant is bad. So why does Rider admit he is one when she knows that Rider doesn't act anything like that? Was it because he is no stranger to wars and conflict?
"We are Heroes because we are tyrants," Rider says. "However, Saber, if a king doesn't agree with their rulership or with their ends, then that king is an idiot. And that's worse than being a tyrant." Rider says solemnly and with wisdom, contrary to his exuberant personality.
"A king that doesn't agree with their rulership or with their ends is an idiot?" Jaune slowly says.
"What is he talking about?" Nora says in confusion.
"I think what he's trying to say is that… a king who is not true to themselves is not a king at all," Ren answered slowly, understanding what the Servant of the Mount was talking about.
"Iskandar, your ruling ended up with your heir's death, and your empire divided into three parts," Saber says. "Don't you regret that ending?"
Ruby gasped, then turned to D. "Is that true?"
D nodded. "It is. But that's another story."
"No," Rider declares, much to Saber's surprise. "If that ending occurred due to the way in which I governed and how I treated my subjects, then I accept the way how it ended. It will pain me. I might shed tears. But I'll never regret it."
"That's…" Winter was about to refute what Rider declared but was caught off by someone she didn't suspect.
"Truly noble…" James Ironwood finished catching mostly everyone in surprise.
"S-Sir?" Winter stuttered.
"I meant what I said, Winter." Ironwood explained. "Granted, I find his reason for being king to be… unorthodox, but I will not deny that I hold a great amount of respect for him accepting his place as king until his time has ended."
"I completely understand where you stand, James," Ozpin says as he agrees with his friend. Iskandar is, without a doubt, a one-of-a-kind king. Granted, in all his life, he had never witnessed a king that held a such strong belief in their leadership despite his title being part of conquest.
"You..." Sabre tries to say.
"I will never undo it!" Rider barks. "Such a thing will only mock those who fought to build my empire!"
Almost everyone gasped again at the revelation.
"I see… the reason why Rider denies Saber's wish is that it would be an insult to all those who sided with her till the end of her Legend," Glynda says, now understanding why.
"But isn't that about Saber's mistakes?" Blake questioned. "Isn't it a good thing to change them?"
"Is that really the case?" Ren added.
"What?" Blake narrowed her eyes toward the young man.
"We barely know what these mistakes are that Saber wants them to change so badly." Ren calmly answers. Granted, he was also curious, but he wanted to learn why Saber intended to change her Legend.
"Only imbecile warriors find glory in destruction!" Saber says, a hand on her chest, over her heart. "What value does it have a king that can't protect the weak?!" She extends her hands outwards as she speaks, "A fair ruling, for fair laws. That's what a king should be!"
"She's… not… wrong." Sienna slowly says while her chest suddenly feels tight for some reason as she hears more and more about the topic that is leadership.
"Glory in destruction…" Blake muttered as the bow in her head slowly went flat as she began to have flashbacks of all the things that happened as she was with the White Fang. All of them about destruction and her fellow Faunus all taking joy in it, especially a bull Faunus that was the center of it all.
"The... Kings are just slaves to what is right?" Rider asks, almost as if he is testing Saber, and he already knows the answer.
"Slaves…?" Weiss slowly said, shocked that such a term would be found in a king.
"But… that can't be right. How can a king be a slave? To whom?" Ruby questioned, not liking this topic at all.
"That's fine," Saber responds. "A king should be ready to die for their ideals."
At that very moment, Ozpin finally understood what was wrong with Saber's wish and how the other kings did not acknowledge her way of being king.
"The King of Knight's… is a slave to her own ideals…" Ozpin's answered, causing everyone to be shocked at the revelation.
"What…?" Jaune muttered. "Saber… is her own slave…? A slave of being king?"
"But that's…" Weiss muttered, trying to find an answer but couldn't. The moment she learned the truth, she felt some kind of weight on her that made her incredibly uncomfortable.
A feeling that everyone felt.
Rider grabs his cup while his frown deepens. "That's not how a person should live," He mutters while stirring his drink.
"He's right…" Ruby gulped. She may not be an ideal leader, but she knows that can't be right. At least to her knowledge. "I can't imagine anyone living that kind of life…"
"If I govern a country as their king, then I can't expect to live as a normal person," Saber explains. "King of Conquerors. You will never understand, not as long as you seek the Grail for your own benefit," Rider frowns even more at her accusations. "You, who only became a king, to satisfy your insatiable greed!"
Winter and Weiss flinched at the last comment as they recalled their father doing the same thing. Granted, he may not be king, but Oum almighty was a leader in a way, an arrogant, greedy scumbag that always takes want he wants regardless of the consequence.
"A king without wishes is worse than a puppet without a head!" Rider roars as he slams his cup down, causing Saber to flinch.
The viewers also flinched, but they didn't say anything as they were too emersed in what Rider was saying.
"Saber, you say you'll die for your ideals. I see, in life, you must've been pure and a saint and truly honest. No doubt, a giant and unmovable figure. But, who admires the road of a martyr?" He gives her a questioning glare. "Who wishes that kind of life?"
Saber stares back at him, not knowing how to respond as the wind blows across her face.
"You see," Rider continued. "A king should be greedy, laugh a lot, and pride themselves more than anyone else. He has to be the extreme of all things, both the good and the bad. That's why their subjects admire and envy them! And that's why the wishes to be king burn in the hearts of all citizens!"
The more Rider spoke, the more everyone watching could not look away or unhear what the Servant of the Mount said.
The clouds over them pass by, covering the moon and its glow.
"Proud King of Knights. Certainly, the justice and ideals you carried with you may have saved your nation once," Rider says, while Saber hears him, almost petrified. "However... I'm sure you know what happens to those who are frequently saved."
As he speaks, the moon's glow is blocked by the clouds—a shadow covering Saber's figure due to it.
"What?" Saber asks, her eyes trembling.
Saber is standing at the top of a mountain of corpses. Her hair was undone, and her sword and figure were covered in blood.
Few of the audience gasped at the sudden flashback, but they were shocked/awed at what the King of Conquerors had said.
"The Battle of Camlann… the final battle in King Arthur's Legend," D explained, but everyone was too entranced to say or question it.
Back in the present, Saber trembles.
And back in the past, Saber is crouched down. Her eyes are lost as she tries to stand. "You saved your subjects but never guided them," Rider's words echo in the memory.
The moment Rider said those words, the leaders among the viewers felt their hearts sink the moment he told them. These mainly being Ozpin, James, Ghira, and Sienna.
At the same time, the other viewers could help but have their hearts break at the scene where the King of Knights was in such a sad state. All were confused and disturbed.
In the present, The King of Conquerors is giving Saber a stern look. "You never showed them how a king should be." Saber's eyes continue to tremble as Rider's words sink in. "You abandoned your men when they lost their way. Alone and without worries, you carried your ideals." Saber breathes out as she tries to wrap her head around everything Rider says. "Therefore, you are not a true king. Overwhelmed by the false ideal that a king should serve others and not themselves, you're just a little girl."
Saber gasps as she thinks back on that scene... The mountain of corpses.
Her past self tries to stand, using her sword as a crutch. "I..."
She gives a quiet gasp in the present.
Her past self looks at the horizon as the sun starts to rise. Shows the remaining battlefield covered with the bodies of many knights. "I..."
All the viewers could only watch in pure silence, all in pure awe at The King of Conquerors' lecture towards The King of Knights, giving out various reactions towards the viewers seeing him in a brand-new light.
The younger audience could only look at the Rider Servant with pure awe. They all know to the degree that he is an unpredictable Servant. From Defending Waver's honor against Kayneth, lecturing his Master about life when they raided Caster's lair, and now him lecturing the King of Knights. And at this very moment, they now respect The King of Conquers as a King and a Hero.
The adults also had the same reactions. But not as much as the ones who are leaders among the audience. Each of them felt an intense stab in their hearts as they listened to Rider's lecture on what it meant to be a king in his own right. Yet, each of his words has extreme weight to them.
Ghira wondered if stepping down from his previous leadership of the White Fang was the right choice. Admittingly, he did it due to events that forced him to step down and believe that the Fang could handle without him. But after seeing this… he now questions if leaving the White Fang was the right choice.
Sienna initially thought Rider was an idiot, then gradually grew to respect him and now admires him. For now, she sees a new view of leadership. Granted, in her way, the High Leader believed that gaining respect from humans was to use force from the bottom of her heart. Her thoughts were always for what was for the best of the Faunus. Yet, she never considered the opinions of those who followed her, and now seeing what the King of Knight's past… a lingering fear etched in the back of her mind… will that happen to her?
James gave a lot of thought to his mind to what Rider said as well as Saber's past albeit a slight hint to fit. He wondered… was he relying too much on his Kingdom's strength for the greater good? This was something he needed to discuss with Ozpin after a viewing. This was too much to think about. In fact…, it almost felt that his Semblance, Mettle, was not working.
Unknown to the fact is that he, as well as everyone else's Semblances, were turned off due to the influence of the Deities. The only time Glynda used her Semblance on Qrow was because D allowed it.
Finally, Ozpin had countless flashbacks of his past. For most of his previous life when he and Salem lead humanity as self-proclaimed gods. In the beginning, it was to help unite the people of Remnant. That was the biggest mistake he had ever made. Not about uniting the people. He was not being truthful to his wife and, above all himself. Things would have been very different if he had backbone back then. Then maybe… maybe… all the tragedies in that same incident would never have happened.
As they finished with their thoughts, they all watched in silence, all holding their breath, waiting for what reply Saber would say against Rider.
But it never happened due to this unexpected turn of event occurred.
The moment is interrupted when the Servants feel a new presence. Behind Waver, a shadowy figure materializes, making the young Master turn around to see them, recognizing the female figure.
Everyone gasped, seeing the Servant of the Shadows appearing.
"Assassin!" Ruby gasped, seeing the Servant.
"Oh, c'mon! When things are getting good!" Yang shouted in disappointment when the moment was ruined.
He yelps and scrambles towards Rider, looking at the figure with fear, "Assassin!"
The female assassin stood in front of the Servants alone, but soon more and more figures started appearing, completely surrounding the garden and the people in it.
Iri joins Saber, who summons her invisible sword in her hand.
"What are they doing there!?" Nora questioned, not expecting all of them to appear.
"It's an ambush!" Qrow says.
"The timing is too perfect," Winter added.
"They have been spying on them since day one," Kali added.
"Is this your doing, Goldie?" Rider asks as he observes the army of Servants.
"Tokiomi embarrasses himself," Archer replies with a sigh, not bothering to acknowledge the Assassins.
"So Archer doesn't know…" James narrowed his eyes at that information.
"Wow… so Tokiomi is putting his Servant in the middle of the danger?" Coco narrowed her eyes behind her shades.
"That can't be right… he would know that Assassin stands no chance against Archer. So why?" Velvet questions.
Weiss narrowed her eyes, wondering about that as well, until she widened her eyes in realization. "They know…"
"Know what?" Blake asked her teammate.
"Tokiomi, Kirie, and Risei know that Assassin doesn't stand a chance… so there…"
"They're sacrificing Assassin…" Penny gasped as she saw the logic in it, which caused everyone to be shocked at the realization.
"Damn… those guys are downright cold," Roman said in shock while Neo nodded, equally shocked.
"Bastards… I know they're just using Assassin from the beginning, but I didn't think they'll throw them away like that." Tai says in disgust.
"They used Assassin to gather all the information they needed. Then they decide to throw Assassin away when they don't need him anymore," Winter says in disgust.
"This is ridiculous!" Waver yells as he looks around. "Why are there so many Assassins?!"
"We are one divided in many," One of them says, as Iri and Saber stare in worry, "A single Servant that is various at the same time, yet one with the shadows."
"A Servant with dissociate identity disorder that manifests each and every one of them on different bodies?" Waver deduces, despite being clearly afraid.
"Yeah, we already figure that out from the start." Nora pointed out.
"I wonder who will in quantity against quality?" Qrow questioned honestly, curious who would win since Assassin is now bringing his army against three different Servants.
As Saber prepares for combat, the boy looks at his Servant. "R-Rider, hey…"
"Calm down, boy," The Rider Servant says with a calm tone. "We should treat them as guests so they can decide who the best king is."
"Are you going to invite them to your banquet, King of Conquerors?" Archer asks with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Seriously? Why would–, no, what am I thinking? Of course, he would." Coco immediately corrected while Velvet giggled.
"But, of course, the king's words are to be heard. If they came here to hear, it doesn't matter if they're friends or enemies," Rider says as he scoops wine from his barrel. "C'mon, help yourselves! Those who spoke up, come and drink! This wine is as precious as your blood!"
His invitation is answered by a knife being thrown at the wooden spoon, breaking it and causing the wine to be spilled over Rider's shirt, the Assassins all laughing in mockery.
"Well, that was a waste." Qrow comments.
"Rude." Pyrrha narrowed her as in dislike.
"Won't deny that was a good effort." Ghira comments.
"I see then," Rider said in a low tone as he stood up. "I said this drink was as precious as your blood if you insist on spilling it… So be it."
"Well… shit looks like it's going down now." Roman comments knowing that Assassin made a big mistake.
A powerful gust of wind comes from the Servant, causing everyone except for Archer to cover themselves for protection.
"Whoa! What's happening?!" Jaune shouted, not expecting a powerful gust of wind.
"Is he going to summon his chariot?" Nora asks, being all giddy.
As Saber lowers her arm, her vision slightly blurry, she stares as the King's clothes have been changed into his battle attire, making her gasp in surprise.
"Oh, that's so epic!" Yang grinned at Rider's transformation into his battle attire.
"Damn, he is working the threads," Coco admitted as she grinned.
As his cape flutters in the wind, he's causing, Rider speaks to the other kings present in the garden. "Saber, Archer," He says, "This will be the last question of our banquet: Should a King remain alone on their superiority."
"He's asking a question now?" Ren questioned.
"Shush! I want to hear Saber's question." Nora hushed her childhood friend.
While Archer only smirks, Saber responds. "A King has no other choice but to remain alone!"
"That's wrong!" Ruby shouted in disbelief. "A King or leader should never be alone!"
"She's right! It doesn't matter what burden you have! What matters is that there are people who should be by your side." Jaune said. He learned his lesson about being arrogant when he started as a leader.
Pyrrha smiled at her partner's resolve while Ozpin did the same glad that this experience taught them what it means to be a leader.
"Nope, it seems you don't understand at all," Rider says, arms crossed and a smirk on his face. "It seems I have no other choice but to show what being a true king is about!"
"What does he mean by–" Before Penny could finish her sentence, a bright light filled the screen.
"What's happening!?" Sienna screeched as she shielded her eyes from the light, followed by the others.
"Where about to find out?!" Qrow shouted as he and the others tried their best to see what was happening.
Mana starts swirling in the air, all pouring from Rider; it slowly turns into a bright light that expands throughout the garden, consuming everyone present, ally, and enemy alike. Waver is the last to be consumed, cowering on the ground from the power his Servant is exuding
"Here it comes!" D says in excitement almost none heard what he said, but they were confused to say anything at the time.
When the boy opens his eyes again, he is no longer in the Einzbern's garden. He looks around to realize they're in the middle of an enormous desert, extending all around them without an apparent end.
Following the young Master's action, the viewers could only gape at the unexpected sight before them.
"What the…" Tai says as he is lost for words.
"Where… are they…?" Ruby slowly said, both in awe and confusion.
"Are they… in a different world?" Ozpin said it sounded crazy even for him, but with everything that had happened to them, as well as witnessing a story from another world, was the only conclusion he could think of.
The lead, Female Assassin, looks around in bewilderment. "This is a…"
"Reality Marble!" Iri says as Saber holds her close protectively. "That's impossible! To bring his inner world to the outside is…"
"A Reality… Marble…?" Weiss slowly said as if she was testing the words on her tongue. "Yes. A Reality Marble." D said as he began to explain. "A concept centers around materializing and projecting one's inner world onto reality. It is similar to the principle of a Bounded Field. Reality Marbles represent the pinnacle of all Bounded Fields where the boundary line becomes the space itself. In other words, it is the pinnacle of a Magus's knowledge and inner desire of their Magecraft."
The audience was stunned in awe to learn such powerful magic would exist in that world.
In all of Ozpin's life, nothing in his time held such powerful magic. This would be a level of a god! But then thought just accord to him.
"You said that Magus is capable of achieving a Reality Marble. Does that mean Rider is a Magus?" Ozpin asks, honestly wondering if that was the case.
"Oh no. Iskander is no Magus. In fact, he has zero knowledge of magic." D explained, earning a shock from everyone.
"Th-Then how did he manage to do that?!" Glynda questions.
"Simple. Rider is a unique case." D smiled. "It is thanks to his strong will and desire that created this very phenomenon. Imagine how countless Magus would react to seeing a man without knowledge of Magic achieve this."
This fact got everyone just dropped their jaws at that fact. Just how powerful is Iskander?!
At her words, Rider smirks and starts talking, "It was here, a long time ago, where my armies crossed the earth, a scenario where my men shared sorrows and joy!" He explains while Saber stares at his back.
The viewers could only listen and watch in pure silence. They wondered what this world could have that he created.
Numerous legs are walking toward them, and Saber hears their footsteps in the distance, causing her to turn around.
"Are those footsteps?" Blake whispered as her bow slightly flinched until her eyes widened to realize what that implied.
Rider extends his arms as he proudly exclaims. "I can turn this land into reality because it still exists in all of OUR hearts!"
Everyone else looks behind them to see a giant army of soldiers making their way toward the battlefield.
"Admire my army with no equal!" Rider exclaims as the soldiers march proudly to join the king in battle, amongst them a man with long black hair that bears a striking similarity to Waver, "Their bodies have been destroyed, and their souls offered to the world of the Heroic Spirits! And yet, these legendary heroes are still loyal to me!"
The army stops behind the king, who eagerly presents his true power to everyone present, "My bonds with them are my greatest treasure, the memories of my reign!" He exclaims. "The Noble Phantasm that I, Iskandar, possess: Ionioi Hetairoi!"
The entirety of the army roars in approval of their king's words, showing that their numbers cover a significant part of the desert they found themselves in.
Everyone's jaws completely dropped ta the sheer size of Rider's army behind him. In fact, the thought was so crazy that their minds almost explode!
"Oh… my… Oum…!" Ruby squeaked in absolute shock.
"An army… he has a friggin army!" Weiss screeched, not believing what she was seeing.
"Is…" Sienna nervously gulped. "A Noble Phantasm?"
"Yes," D answered, liking everyone's reactions. "Ionioi Hetairoi: Army of the King. It is Rider's ultimate Trump Card. Consisting over tens of thousands of soldiers by his side."
"Tens of thousands?!" Everyone shouted in disbelief.
"That's more than the number of soldiers in Atlas!" James says in pure shock.
Waver trembles in awe and slight terror at their sheer power. "Each and every one of them is a Servant!" He exclaims.
"WHAT?!" Everyone shouted in pure shock.
"Yup! Granted, they may not have a Noble Phantasm, but they are just as powerful in their own right." The diety answered.
"A trump card indeed…" Ozpin swallowed nervously, now knowing just how powerful Rider was.
A horse strides to Iskandar's side, the king smiling and caressing the horse. "It's been a long time, partner," He said fondly.
"Aww!" Ruby and Weiss cooed. Seeing the horse was almost enough to shake them from their shock.
"That's Iskander's trusted steed who had sided with him in his countless conquests, Bucephalus," D said, revealing the horse's name.
He turns back to his army and guests before loudly declaring. "A king should live the most joyful life than any other; it has to be a figure worthy of admiration!"
The army roars in approval, raising their spears in a clear signal of support to their king.
Rider mounts his horse and looks back at his army. "The king is the one that collects the envy of his people and is still there to guide them; therefore, the king is never alone," All the guests of his banquet stare at him as he proclaims his words, "Because his will is as great as the sum of the will of those who follow him!"
Again, the army raises their spears and roar in approval, ready to follow their king into battle.
"They're all so loyal to him…" Winter says in awe seeing such devotion Rider's army is to him.
"Not really surprising… these men are, in fact, the very same people who followed Iskandar in the days when he was alive," D explained, further shocking them to the core.
"These are the very people who fought alongside the King of Conquerors?!" Sienna shouts in disbelief.
"Remarkable… even in death… they still remain loyal to him…" Ghira says in absolute awe seeing such devotion and dedication.
"Now then," He turns back to the opposing army. "Shall we start, Assassin?"
The Servants of the shadow flinch at their situation. "As you can see, the battlefield we found ourselves in is a plain field. And I'm afraid we have the advantage in numbers."
"Aww, crude… they are so dead!" Qrow grinned, seeing that the tables had turned entirely.
"Aw, man… I should feel sorry that Assassin was sent to his death, but is it wrong to feel excited simultaneously?" Jaune says as he both feels pity and excitement for the one-sided fight.
"Don't overthink about it, kid. This did happen already, after all." D said.
"Yeah, kid. Listen to the deity and live a little!" Surprisingly, Roman was the one who said that as he was getting excited to see the fight, while Neo had a savage grin on her face wanting to see the slaughter right now.
Iskandar unsheathes his sword and points it at the enemy, "ANNIHILATE THEM!"
At his orders, the army charges into battle, completely ignoring Saber and the others as they obey their king's command.
"Oh boy! Here it comes!" Ruby shouted as she watched in both fear and excitement.
"Yeah! Get them!" Yang and Nora cheered.
The Assassins can do nothing. This battlefield is entirely against them, both the numbers and the terrain. There's no place for them to hide or attack from the shadows. The female leader lowers her blade as Iskandar, and his army approach them.
With a single swing of his sword, Iskandar takes the head of the lead Assassin's headless body collapsing on the floor, while his army completely slaughters the rest of the Servants of the shadows—who had nowhere to run or hide.
The audience cringed at the sight of the beheaded female Assassin but understood the reason for it.
"Well… at least that one accepted its fate," Tai said, somewhat respecting that one.
Spears were thrown, raining down on the incarnations of Hassan and making them fall one by one. Various members of Iskander's soldiers ganged upon individual members of the Assassin members.
Soon there was no trace of the Servants of the Shadows. Finally, each of their incarnations had been eliminated, and the first confirmed casualty of the war occurred. The result of the battle has been decided.
Iskandar looks at the battlefield proudly. Once again, his army has come victorious from an arduous battle. He raises his sword in the air and releases a triumphal roar that his army eagerly echoes.
As they celebrate victory, Saber stares at the figure of Iskander with a conflicted look, while Iskander, the proud King of Conquerors, smiles with pride at his successful conquest.
The moon reflects on the wine as golden coup scoops a bit of the drink, causing ripples on reflection.
The Einzbern garden looks precisely the same, the banquet guests sitting in the same position they were in before the battle as if nothing had happened.
The audience could only watch in silence from the one-sided fight. Even when the battle was other, there were still silent. It was as if, was everything they had seen a dream. But they all know that it was real.
"Well… it seems the War now has an official casualty," Ozpin said, breaking the silence.
"Indeed…" James coughed a bit. "Ironic that the same Servant that faked his death would be the first to die."
"That was crazy!" Nora cheered as she smiled cheek to cheek. "Assassin didn't stand a chance."
"My view of Rider has completely changed," Ren added.
"It's painfully clear that Rider is now one of the most powerful Servants in this war," Weiss concluded after seeing the short yet epic battle.
"I dare say even close to Archer," Coco added while Velvet agreed.
"This is so crazy! I can't believe we saw all that!" Yang says as she barely holds her excitement.
"That ending was disappointing," Rider says as he drinks from his cup while Waver looks around, seemingly lost. "I guess that's all for today," He says as he stands up.
"Wait, Rider," Saber said as she sat up. "I still-"
"That's right! Saber hasn't answered Rider's previous question." Penny said in realization.
"But will Rider accept it now…?" Glynda thinks now that all the trouble is gone.
"You can keep your mouth shut," Iskandar said, not even turning around. "The kings were supposed to meet tonight at the banquet. But Saber, I don't consider you a king anymore."
Everyone cringed at the blunt statement that Rider said to Saber.
"I guess that's that for the gathering." Blake sighs.
He unsheathes his sword to summon his chariot while Saber observes. He sheathes it back and turns to look at the Servant of the Sword. "Wake up from your sad dream, little girl," He tells her. Saber only observes, unable to say anything. "If you don't, you'll lose that bit of pride you still possess as a Heroic Spirit. The dream of the reign you spoke of is nothing but a curse."
"Ugh… harsh." Coco cringed at the bluntness.
"What?!" Saber finally asks, but Rider flies away on his chariot, with his Master in tow.
Saber watches him go with an unreadable expression. "Don't listen to him, Saber." She looks down to see Archer speaking to her. "You're not in the wrong. Follow the path you believe in."
"Oh, Iri… so kind as usual." Ruby smiled at the homunculus's kindness.
"At least there's someone who agrees with Saber's wish." Yang comments.
The Servant of the Bow smirks. "The conflict and agony in which you grovel in as it is to carry with the weight of a kingdom is too heavy for anyone…" He opens his eyes and looks at her with his red orbs. "You could say I find pleasure in observing it."
"…what? What did he just say?" Coco blinked several times, not expecting Archer to say something like that.
"I… think he… what?" Velvet was equally confused, as was everyone else.
"Keep it up, King of Knights," He said as he sat up. "You might gain a bit more of my love…" He tells her before laughing cruelly as his body dissipates in golden motes in the air.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"WHAT?!" Everyone shouted in pure and utter shock at that unexpected confession from the King of Heroes.
"Did… did he just…?" Jaune stuttered.
"I think he just did…" Pyrrha slowly nodded as her jaw dropped.
"Oh, Oum, I think I'm going to be sick…" Ruby gagged at the thought of Saber and Archer being together.
The two inhabitants of the Einzbern castle remain in the garden. Iri sits up and approaches the knight, "Saber?"
"I remember," She suddenly says. "There was a knight, who left Camelot because he said that 'King Arthur didn't understood what others wanted,'" She looks down with melancholy. "I wonder…If those feelings were shared by all the knights of my Round Table."
Saber looks to the sky with Iri for the first time questioning her ideals.

It shows Tokiomi's command spell falling. "Thus commence the second phase."
"I am not a normal human," Iri's voice said.
"It isn't something that can be easily resolved," Saber's voice exclaims.
"Pursue what you wish for," Gilgamesh's voice tells someone. "The way is open for you."
"But that's an evil that must be punished!" Kirei's voice declares angrily.

Almost everyone didn't have time to react to the preview because… well, everyone was mentally tired. Something that D noticed.
"Okay! Time for a break." As D said, the light in the Theatre Room lit, and the screen ended.
"What–"
"You guys need a break from this excitement. No excuses." D cuts Ruby off as he walks out of the room ending the conversation before it starts.
And with that, everyone left the room as they talked about what they had seen and learned.
