Before we get started…
Skeletalrepublic: Afraid not. Neo first appears in the first half of Volume 2 I believe.
Megan Romero: Bugs are scary enough for him lol. Who knows? You might see other Animal Crossing characters join the story at a later date.
Awesomenessomar5: Thanks so much!
Neon's Rainbow: Thank you! Who knows? I might change my mind about what I said about Smash fighters being in the story…
Now on with the chapter!
Ah, Another day in Beacon. Villager woke up from his sleep and immediately got dressed. He looked at his new Flesh Ripper in it's tank. Luckily, it had plenty of room to swim around in there, despite the tank size. Another thing was that it surprisingly wasn't trying to attack Villager or anyone that came by. Hopefully it would stay that way, so long as no one nearby had any negative emotions. However, the chance of that happening might not be as low as Villager thought it'd be. That was why he decided to take it to one of the professors later on.
Another thing was that Villager had been on Remnant for a little over 2 weeks now. He definitely missed Home, but he actually made himself quite comfy during His time at Beacon so far.
Villager went to the cafeteria for breakfast to see that Teams WBY and JNPR were already there. Villager grabbed a plate of Waffles and sat down next to Blake, who seemed to be reading something. Ruby didn't seem to be there yet.
"Watcha doin'?" A nosy Yang said.
"Nothing." Blake said, closing the book. "Just… going over notes from last semester."
"Lame." Yang said after catching a marshmallow that was flung from Nora at a different Table. She caught another one before Ruby arrived with a giant binder that she slammed on the table. The front of the binder read "Best Day Ever Activities."
Ruby cleared her throat. "Sisters, friends,...Weiss."
"Hey!" Weiss exclaimed.
"For score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream." Ruby began.
"This ought to be good." Yang said as she caught a fruit in her mouth.
"The four of us, and Villager because I don't want him to feel left out, would come together and have the most fun anyone has ever had...EVER!" Ruby said.
"Did you steal my binder?" Weiss asked.
"I'm not a crook." Ruby quickly replied.
Villager raised an eyebrow along with a curiosity reaction. "What are you talking about?" Blake asked.
"I'm talking about kicking the semester off with a bang!" Ruby said.
Villager looked at Yang. Don't you do it…
"I always kick my semester off with a 'Yang'." Yang said. Villager rolled his eyes as Yang got hit in the head with an apple.
"Look guys. It's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the Tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great. But classes start back up tomorrow. Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today."
"I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what's in store." Weiss said.
Oh, come on. It didn't SOUND that bad.
Yang threw back an Apple from where it came from. Uh oh, that won't lead to anything good.
"I don't know." Blake said. "I think I might sit this one out."
"Sit out or not. I think however we spend this last day, we should do it as a team." Weiss said.
"I got it!" Villager heard Nora say. Weiss was about to continue until she met a face full of pie.
Play RWBY OST Best Day Ever
One thing eventually led to another, and now a huge food fight was about to break out. Villager knew what was about to happen and quickly hid under a table. He heard Nora's wicked laugh and looked to see her standing on a mountain of tables, being guarded by Jaune, Ren, and Pyrrha. "I'm Queen of the castle! I'm Queen of the castle!"
Ruby stomped on the table Villager was under. "Justice will be swift, Justice will be Painful, IT WILL BE DELICIOUS!" Ruby yelled as her Team let out their Battle cries.
"Off with their heads!" Nora exclaimed.
Villager just wanted to eat his Breakfast in peace. He reached up for his plate of Waffles…
...only to see them end up upside down on the floor.
Villager's heart shattered. 'My waffles D:'
…
THIS.
MEANS.
WAR.
Villager lept from under the table and grabbed a huge bag of Apples. Yang ran up beside him wearing Turkey on her hands. They nodded at each other and began to stop the onslaught of watermelons flying towards them. Yang began to punch the ones flying at her and her team, while Villager threw the apples' rapid-fire at the Watermelons to stop them mid-air.
Blake joined in as she leapt over Yang and grabbed two pieces of long French bread and destroyed two while Yang leapt over her to Destroy another two.
Yang then shot the Turkeys at Jaune, the first one hitting him in the face and the second one hitting him in the chest, sending him flying. Pyrrha grabbed a long French Bread and clashed with Blake.
Meanwhile, Villager grabbed a giant fish and ran past Weiss, who grabbed a ketchup bottle and squirted a buttload of it on the floor, making Ren slip and slide into a pile of stacked tables. Villager ran towards Nora. She made a makeshift hammer with a pole and a watermelon. Nora tried to attack Villager with her melon hammer, but Villager kept rolling out of the way. The Mayor of New Smashville took his opportunity to attack and smacked Nora across the face every chance he got. Nora accidentally hit Ruby when trying to Hit Villager and sent her flying. Weiss joined in with her swordfish. Villager rolled out of the way for the Schnee as she thrusted forward, pushing Nora back. Nora and Weiss then clashed together as Nora tried to hit Weiss by spinning her hammer around herself while doing so. Weiss, however, kept blocking the attacks until Nora finally got one good hit, sending poor Weiss flying into the wall.
An unconscious Weiss was about to be crushed by a giant pillar until Ruby caught her mid-air. "Weiss? Weiss! Don't leave me! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Seeing as Nora was distracted, Villager threw his fish at her and grabbed what looked like Rock Candies and threw them at Nora. She spun her melon hammer to block a few, but the rest of them were direct hits.
Meanwhile, Yang grabbed her fist turkeys and ran towards Ren who grabbed two leeks to fight with. Yang went for a side-kick, but Ren blocked using one of the were at a stalemate for a few seconds before they began fighting. Ren dodged a roundhouse kick from Yang and then tried to go for a side swing with the leek, but it got blocked. Ren tried to stab the leek forward, but Yang punched it away before punching Ren. They kept on blocking and countering eachothers attacks until Yang Shoryukened Ren up into the air. Ren, However, regained himself in the air and threw the leeks at Yang. The Blonde leapt over them and Ren and punched the poor boy into the ground, making a crater.
Nora then whacked Villager away like a golf ball and then went to go fight Yang. Nora went for an overhead swing, but Yang backflipped to dodge. They then ran at each other with Nora going for a swing upwards and Yang going for a right hook. Nora landed her hit first as it sent Yang crashing through the ceiling. Blake backflipped to dodge the falling debris before grabbing a chain of wieners and using them as a whip to push Nora back and send her flying into a vending machine.
Back with Villager, he got ever-so-lucky as to have landed in a pile of bags of flour. His whole body was covered with the white powdered substance, but it gave him an idea. He used his pocket ability to store all the bags of flour. He then ran to help what was left of Team RWBY; Ruby and Blake.
Nora was throwing shaken cans of soda like grenades at Blake, who was dodging them with ease. However, Phyrra used her semblance to create a giant wave of them. Villager watched as Blake was pushed all the way across the cafeteria.
Villager then took his chance as he poured all the flour he had around Team JNPR, creating a makeshift smokescreen. Ruby gave him a thumbs up before doing the rest. Ruby then sprinted towards Team JNPR, using her semblance to create a high wind that made all of the debris, food, other soda cans, plates, etcetera follow behind her. The wind eventually caught The other team, literally and by surprise as they didn't see it coming due to Villager's flour smokescreen, while Ruby stopped at the end of the cafeteria. Jaune's team then landed on the wall on their backs while Ruby hopped out of the way and the whirlwind of cafeteria supplies, debris, and food all hit them and was brought to them like a hurricane. Ruby then landed with Team JNPR slowly falling to the ground, absolutely covered with many different foods and drinks stains. Villager did his Pride Reaction in Victory.
(End Music)
Villager looked to see that Sun was here along with a boy with Blue Hair, goggles on his forehead, a red shirt, fingerless gloves, grey pants, and was covered in grape soda.
"I love these guys." Sun said to the boy with grape soda all over him, with an annoyed look on his face.
Just then Miss Goodwitch bursted into the room with a not-to-happy look on her face. Plates of food were about to fly at her, but Glynda stopped it with her semblance before organizing everything back the way it was. The tables were back in their original place, the plates were organized neatly, and Villager even got a new plate of waffles :D.
"Children please." Goodwitch said, pushing up her glasses. "Do not play with your food."
Ruby sat down next to Villager who was finishing up his waffles. Nora let out a huge burp and Yang fell back down through the ceiling, making Villager do his shocked Reaction, followed by a Laughter Reaction as he giggled with his friends.
Ozpin walked into the room beside Glynda and put a hand on her shoulder. "Let it go."
"They're supposed to be the defenders of the world." Glynda said.
"While Young Villager over there is a special case." Ozpin began. "They will be, but right now they are still children." They looked to see Villager having fun with his friends. "So why not let them play the part? After all, It isn't a role they'll have forever. Besides, at least now we know not to disturb Villager and his breakfast. " Ozpin joked, only to get a playful eye roll from Glynda.
Meanwhile…
Two people were walking towards a warehouse with a bag that...was moving?
The first person was a girl with shamrock green hair, dark skin, white pants and a tank top, along with two guns satcheled on her belt. This girl was Emerald Sustrai.
The other was a boy with dark silver hair, a gray and black shirt, and black pants with gray stripes going down them. This boy was Mercury Black. He was the one holding the moving bag.
"Hey! Let me outta here!" A voice said, coming from the bag. "C'mon fellas, can't we talk about this? I can get you a statue of The Thinker! Oh! Or maybe the Mona Lisa?!"
"Oh shut up, will ya?" Mercury said while kneeing the bag to silence it. "We're almost there."
They entered the warehouse to find Roman Torchwick standing in front of a map of Vale. "Oh look, she sent the kids again. It's turning out just like a divorce." Roman said. "And do I even WANT to know what's in the bag?"
"Ugh, spare us the thought of you procreating." Emerald said. "And you'll find out when Cinder gets here."
"That was a joke." Roman said. "And this…" He grabbed a piece of paper from Emerald's pocket. "And that…" He pointed to the wiggling bag. "Just might tell me where you too have been all day."
"W-What…?" Emerald exclaimed, wondering how he got that.
"I'm a professional sweetheart, pay attention. Maybe you'll learn something." Roman said. "Why do you have this address?"
"Wouldn't YOU like to know?" Emerald said back.
"I would." Roman said. "Now, where have you been all day?"
"Trying to clean up YOUR problems." Mercury said. "One of them at least. But instead, we found...this." He looked at the wiggling bag.
"I have that under control." Torchwick growled through his teeth.
"Two packed bags and tickets out of Vale and, you know, HIM NOT BEING THERE said otherwise ." Mercury retorted.
"Listen, you little punk." Roman began. "If it were up to me, I would take you, your little streetrat friend, and whatever THAT is and I would-"
"Do what, Roman?" Another voice said. A girl appeared. She had black hair covering her left eye, a crimson red dress with fire patterns on it. She also wore black heels. She rode down a small elevator towards them.
Roman laughed nervously. "I would...um… NOT kill them?"
"Oooh, she caught you goooooood." The voice from the bag said. An agitated Roman whacked it with his cane. "OW! Okay fine, I'll shut up! Sheesh…"
"Cinder!" Emerald said.
"I thought I made it clear to eliminate the would-be runaway." The girl now named Cinder said to Roman.
"I was going to…" Roman began.
"HE was going to escape to Vacuo." Emerald said. "Mercury and I decided to take it upon ourselves to kill the rat. But, he wasn't there."
"We found THIS instead." Mercury said, about to empty the bag.
"Quiet!" Cinder snapped. "Did I not specifically ask you to keep your hands clean while in Vale?" Roman was giggling at them.
"I just thought that-" Emerald said before being cut off.
"Do not think." Cinder said. "Obey."
"...Yes ma'am. It won't happen again." Emerald said.
Mercury was about to drop the bag until stopped by Cinder. "No...keep it. I wish to see what is inside. But first…" She turned to Roman. "Why wasn't this job done sooner?"
Roman pointed to literally everything around him. "Sorry If I've been a little busy stealing every single spec of dust in the kingdom!" He said sarcastically.
"You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask." Mercury burned him.
"Look around kid." Roman said. "I got this town running scared. Police camping out at every corner, dust prices through the roof, and we're sitting pretty in an old warehouse with more dust crystals, vials, and rounds than we know what to do with!" Roman turned around to face them. "Speaking of which, if you guys could fill me in on your grandmaster plan, it might make my next stream of robberies go a little smoother!"
"Oh Roman." Cinder said. "Have a little faith." She put her hand on his chin. "You'll know what you need when you need to know."
Roman let out a small grunt before looking away. "Okay, so then, what now."
Cinder turned around and began to walk, but not before saying "We proceed with phase two. But, before that…" She looked at Mercury and Emerald. "Mercury."
They silver-haired kid nodded and revealed what was inside.
…
"Uhhhh...Pardon?" Roman said, confused.
"What...is that?" Cinder said.
"Honestly, we're not too sure ourselves." Mercury said.
Out of the bag came a walking, talking, bipedal Fox. He had pointy ears, straight lines for eyes, a floofy tail, and a little bit of white on his fur. He was also wearing a blue apron with a strangely shaped leaf on it.
"W-Who are you people?! W-What do you want with me?!" The fox asked, terrified for his life.
"Awww, it's actually kinda cute, now that I look at it." Emerald said.
"What are you?" Cinder asked calmly.
"I'm a Fox!" He replied.
"Yeah, yeah. Can you tell us something that isn't obvious?" Roman said.
"Ummm...I sell pieces of art!" The fox said. "You want some?"
"Emerald?" Conder asked, waiting for an explanation.
"Well, when Mercury and I were going to find the rat, he wasn't where we'd thought he'd be." Emerald explained.
"So, we found this little guy instead." Mercury said. "He was trying to scam us with a book that wasn't even fully written yet."
"SCAM YOU!?" The fox exclaimed, seeming offended. "Well I never!"
"You heard me. For a fox, you ain't that sly." Mercury said
He was silent.
"Why did you bring this creature with you?" Cinder asked.
"Well, from what he told us, He helped the rat in the White Fang escape." Emerald said. "So we figured we would bring him to you."
"Why didn't you just leave him there?" Roman asked.
"W-well…" Emerald said.
"Um, Excuse me?" The Fox interrupted. "Can I go home? I have-"
"Oooohh, see, I'm afraid we can't let ya do that, Mister…?" Roman said.
"I-I'm...Redd." The fox now named Redd said. "And why not?!"
"We can't let you spread word about our little base of operations, yeah? Obviously!" Roman said.
"O-oh." Redd said. He began to tremble in fear "P-P-Please, don't hurt me!"
Torchwick loaded his gun, but was stopped by Emerald. "Oh come on, don't kill him! Maybe he could be useful?"
Cinder walked towards Redd. "How about this? You work for us and maybe you might be safe."
"And if I r-r-refuse?" Redd stuttered, daring to ask that question. He got his answer when Cinder made a sword that was made of fire appear out of thin air.
"O-OKAY. I-I L-LIKE THE FIRST OPTION. L-L-LET'S GO W-WITH THAT." Redd stuttered in fear.
"Oh yeah. And if you tell anyone about this you're also dead, capische?" Roman said.
Redd quickly nodded.
"Perfect! Now go help a few boys unload some cargo." Roman said.
"Yes sir…" Redd said with his head hung low.
"What did I just get myself into?" Redd whispered to himself.
Ta-da! Redd joins the story! The poor fox is now being forced to work for Torchwick! What will he do now?
