Percy had experienced two kinds of kisses in his lifetime.

The first had been during his adolescence when he was going out with Penny. He remembered the first time they'd kissed. It was in a broom closet, funny enough. The last place anyone would have expected from him. But he'd done it and, at the time, enjoyed it. They'd stood chest-to-chest, her arms around his middle, fingers softly needing ino his back. It'd been a bit of a bold move given how shy she was. And then, standing in the darkness, hearts beating rapidly, she stood on her tiptoes, quick as lightning and pecked him on the lips.

It'd taken him by surprise. Her as well. She stared up at him, astoundment clouding her face as she was seemingly unable to believe what she had just done.

"Percy," Her whisper was breathy and embarrassed sounding, "I...I'm sorry-"

And he'd done it; with his courage boiling over, Percy leaned down, hands cupping her cheeks, kissing her properly. Her lips were soft, always so shiny with strawberry red lip gloss. It was nothing overly sensational, nothing more than one would expect from them at that age. Penny was shy and her kisses reflected that.

Audrey was wildly different than Penny. Her kisses left him breathless, so full of fiery passion. It was of the many foolish reasons he'd believed they would be together forever. How did one kiss like that, with such an intense spark, only for it to be easily blown out?

He didn't think he'd find love again.

Until he did.

There in Abby's backyard, under a beautiful night sky with twinkling stars, in each other's arms, she looked up at him with the most tender look. Their foreheads met, smiles coming onto their faces, unable to be repressed. She tilted her head slightly and their lips came together.

It was unlike anything he'd ever experienced.

The entire world came to a stop. Nothing else seemed to exist at that moment in time. Just the two of them. When they opened their eyes, face inches from each other's, Percy grasped her hand and went in for another. This was longer, filled with a sense of longing he didn't know he had in him.

This, this was so much better than the kisses he'd shared with Penny and Audrey. This was everything he'd ever wanted, everything he'd imagined a proper kiss would be. Godric, even his legs felt wobbly like a teenager having his first kiss.

Did she feel the same? Was her heart racing? Legs shaking? Stomach flip flopping?

They pulled apart once again.

"Wow," He murmured. "You're magnificent."

She giggled, her cheeks reddening, forehead bumping against his chest. "You're silly."

"And you're beautiful."

He had no idea where that came from. Oliver would congratulate him on being smooth. Although it could hardly count as smooth when he merely blurted it out.

"That's awfully daring of you," She whispered, standing up on her tiptoes to nuzzle their noses.

He laughed softly. Him, daring? "You're the only one to tell me that."

"Well, maybe no one else was paying attention," She let her teeth rake over her lips.

And she did the most wonderful thing.

She kissed him again.
