CHAPTER 12: SUDDEN REALIZATION

"Happy birthday, Jackie!"

Zelda and Jack sat at a table in a private dining area. Link was walking over to the table with a large plate of food in his hand.

"Cake topped with ice cream, your favorite," Link said happily as he placed the plate in front of Jack.

Jack smiled so wide that his cheeks hurt. He immediately dug in, shoving the food greedily in his face.

Link laughed heartily as he watched his son completely wolf the food down, not stopping for any breaks. Link then sat down next to Zelda, intertwining his hand with hers.

"You have a good birthday, sweetheart?" Zelda asked sweetly.

Jack looked up at her with a mouthful of food, nodding enthusiastically. He then immediately went back to eating, continuing to shove the food down his throat. A few moments later, he was finished. He dropped his fork on his plate, smiling happily.

"Gods, did you even taste that?" Link jokingly asked.

Zelda whacked Link on the arm playfully.

"Leave him alone!" she said defensively, clearly trying to hold back a laugh. "Let him eat his food in peace, for gods sake."

Jack erupted into a fit of laughter. He knew how much it annoyed his father when he wolfed down food like that. His reactions were priceless every time.

"Yeah, let me eat my cake in peace." Jack snorted loudly, a huge smile cracking across his face.

Link shook his head, an amused smile forming onto his face. Suddenly, Link began to reach into his pocket, attempting to grab something. A few moments later, he pulled out a small box, wrapped in red paper.

"Surprise," he said, smiling warmly down at his son. "This is for you."

Jack's face immediately lit up at the sight of the present. He quickly grabbed the box from his father's hand and immediately tore the wrapping paper off. Zelda watched him excitedly tear open the present with a small smile on her face.

He quickly teared all the wrapping paper off, revealing a small white box underneath. He studied the box for a moment before slowly opening it.

Jack's eyes immediately widened as soon as he saw what was in there.

"Dad! No way!"

Inside the box was Link's old necklace. It was a chain necklace, with a small purple crystal attached to it. Link had told him long ago that it was given to him by Rusl when he was a young boy.

"It's all yours," Link said softly, patting his son of the back gently.

Jack immediately looked up and shook his head.

"I can't take this…" he said. "It's so special to you."

Link just shrugged his shoulders.

"You know who's even more special to me? You. So please, take it."

Jack hesitated a moment, studying the necklace closely. After a few moments, he slowly put the chain around his neck.

"There you go!" Link cheered happily. "Looks great on you."

Jack smiled sheepishly, fiddling with the necklace.

Link turned towards Zelda, a bright smile on his face.

"Can you believe he's already fourteen?" he asked Zelda. "He's growing up so fast on me!"

Link reached over a ruffled Jack's hair playfully, causing Jack to swat at his dad's hands. Zelda chuckled softly as she watched Jack pathetically attempt to pry Link's hands off his head.

"Not the hair, not the hair!" Jack continued to swat at his father's hands. Finally, Link let go, laughing loudly.

"I'm so proud of you," he said happily, patting him on the shoulder. "You'll be a great king one day, I know it."

Jack's wide smile suddenly dropped. He felt his heart sink with guilt.

Zelda immediately noticed her son's strange expression. He looked upset.

"Jackie?" Zelda asked, leaning in closer towards her son. "Is something wrong?"

Jack stared at his own lap, refusing to talk. Yes, there was something wrong. Something horribly wrong. He had wanted to say it since he was twelve, but he didn't have to courage to say so.

Link also looked down at his son with a concerned expression.

"You alright?" he asked softly.

Jack just shrugged. He continued to stare at his lap, refusing to make eye contact with either of his parents.

Link exchanged a concerned glance with Zelda. He then quickly looked back to his son.

"You can tell us what's bothering you," Link said, gently nudging his son with his elbow.

Jack looked up from his lap and studied both of his parents. He wanted to say it so badly, but it was so hard for him. Doubts and fears swirled throughout his mind. If he didn't say it now, he was bound to say it later, which would make it even worse. He had to do it, whether he liked it or not.

"I…um…" Jack nervously eyed his parents. "…I don't want to take the throne."

There it was. The shocked faces of his parents staring back at him. He had expected this reaction.

His parents stared at him for a solid minute, not even knowing what on earth to say to that. Jack shifted uncomfortably under their stares, but didn't say anything.

"O-Okay," his mother finally stammered out, breaking the extremely tense silence. "What makes you feel that way?"

Jack just shrugged, staring at his lap.

"I-I don't know," he began nervously. "For instance, I don't think I could ever rule over an entire kingdom. I'm too shy to even speak to more than three people. How could I even rule over thousands of people?"

Link and Zelda stayed silent, listening intently. Jack noticed that his father hadn't even uttered a word, but he brushed it off.

"I also don't want to marry some noble girl who I don't love," Jack continued. "I know how hard it was for you guys to marry. I guarantee the court won't ever let me marry someone by choice." Jack then took a deep breath, preparing to speak again. "I also want to be a doctor. I'm not interested in politics."

More silence. Jack's heart was practically thumping out of his chest. He refused to even look at his parents. He didn't want to see their shocked faces at all.

"You've got to be kidding me."

Jack's head snapped up at the sound of his father speaking. He studied his father's face. He looked incredibly angry.

Jack felt his stomach drop at the sight of his visibly irritated father. Out of all people, he expected his father to understand the most. Why did he look so upset?

"Jack," Link said sternly, his playful demeanor from just minutes ago completely disappeared. "There is no way that is happening."

Zelda snapped her head towards Link, her facial expression suddenly angry.

"Link, if you could at least reason a little with him-"

"No, Zelda!" Link suddenly yelled, causing Jack to flinch.

"Would you calm down?" Zelda shot back angrily. "Do not yell at me in front of him!"

Link took a shaky breath, attempting to calm himself down a bit. However, that wasn't working very well.

"You know what they say about me Zelda," Link began, his voice extremely low. "They talk a curse on me. They've done it for years."

Zelda shook her head angrily, pressing a palm to her forehead.

"You really still pay attention to what the court says about you?" she snapped. "Who cares?"

"I care! Do you know what they'll say about me if they hear what Jack just said?"

Zelda pursed her lips together, honestly not having a valid comeback from that question.

"You might be forgetting, but I was a commoner once," he started, clenching his fists angrily. "You know what they say about that. If Jack openly rejects the throne, they'll immediately blame me. That's a fact."

Jack closed his eyes, immediately feeling hot tears begin to burn. He just wanted the support of his own family. Why couldn't they provide that?

Link turned towards Jack, his eyes widened in anger.

"You are taking the throne, whether you like it or not. Get over your silly fantasy of becoming some 'doctor' and own up to your real responsibilities. Grow up."

Jack felt a large pang in his heart at his father's words. He dug his fingernails into his palms, suddenly growing angry.

"How could you even say that?" Jack suddenly asked, before even thinking about it.

Link glared down at his son, his eyes widened in visible anger.

"There are consequences to your own actions, Jack! If you reject the throne, this country will have no ruler! Do you even understand what you're proposing right now?"

Jack pursed his lips together, attempting to keep himself from replying with something stupid.

Link stood up and leaned down towards his son, his face clearly fuming.

"You want the court to talk a curse on your father?" Link hissed angrily. "Is that what you want?"

Jack closed his eyes, attempting to take his attention away from his father's face.

"Link, stop it!" Jack heard his mother yell. "Would you leave him alone?"

"Leave him alone? He needs to be properly dealt with!"

"Is this what you call properly dealt with? Yelling in his face?"

"Well somebody needs to knock some sense into him! I could lose my favor in the court, and possibly in the entire kingdom if anybody hears about this! Do you know how much I went through to gain the people's favor?"

Jack watched as his parents continued to bicker. Out of all people, Jack hadn't expected his own mother to understand more than his father. His father was a commoner. He shouldn't have been so unreasonable.

Jack suddenly felt himself grow hot with anger. He couldn't believe the way his father was reacting. It seemed so selfish to him.

Jack abruptly stood up from his seat, causing his parents to halt their argument. He was practically fuming now. He was not going to live the rest of his life miserable. He was going to do what he wanted, no matter what.

"I'm going up to my room," Jack suddenly said.

Zelda studied him with a sad expression on her face, while his father practically stared him down.

Jack turned around and began to walk away. However, another wave of anger rushed throughout his body. He stopped walking and turned back around, staring at his father.

"By the way, you can keep this." Jack ripped the necklace off his neck and threw it at his father. "Fuck you."

Jack heard his mother gasp as he spun on his heel and walked off.

Jack changed in his bedroom, getting ready for the day. He slipped off his night robe and tossed it to the side of his room, standing in only in his underwear. He reached into one of his drawers and pulled out his cloak, a white undershirt, and a brown pair of trousers. He changed and began to fix his hair in his mirror, running his fingers through his thick waves quickly.

"Morning there, Jackie. Need some makeup for your face? Mascara?"

Jack rolled his eyes and turned around to face the dark spirit.

"Shut up."

Jack turned back to the mirror and continued to run his fingers through his hair. The darkness only snickered.

"I see you've lost your book."

Jack's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he whirled back around to face the darkness. What book was the spirit even talking about?

"What book?" Jack asked, his eyes widening in confusion.

The darkness began to cackle loudly, wildly amused by Jack's confusion. His laughing went on for about a minute, much to Jack's annoyance.

"You are a complete idiot," the spirit said, finally calming down from his laughing fit.

Jack clenched his jaw angrily. He was in no mood for games right now.

"If you please would enlighten me, that would be greatly appreciated," he hissed through his clenched teeth.

The spirit began to cackle loudly again, sending himself into another one of his wild laughing fits. Jack watched with wide eyes and clenched teeth, becoming angrier and angrier the more the darkness laughed. Finally, after what it seemed to Jack like an hour, the spirit calmed down.

"The book that I led you to, silly!" the spirit teased. "The one with the dark spells that I taught you."

Jack stared at the darkness blankly.

"I have multiple books with dark spells," he stated flatly.

The spirit began to laugh wildly again. Tired of his constant laughing fits, Jack interrupted the spirit's laughing.

"Oh my gods, would you please!" Jack yelled, interrupting the spirit.

The darkness slowly began to stop laughing.

"Thank you," Jack hissed. "Now, what book are you actually talking about?"

The darkness attempted to hold in another laugh, not wanting to anger Jack too much.

"The first book I gave you," the spirit explained. "The one with the red cover and the gold letters."

Jack's eyes suddenly shot open in surprise. He whipped his head towards his bed, looking around frantically for the book he had left on his mattress yesterday. It was not there.

"What the hell?" Jack shouted, running over to his bed. "W-where is it?" Jack began to frantically claw through his bed sheets, desperate to find his book.

The darkness began to laugh wildly, amused by Jack's frantic state. Jack simply ignored the spirit's laughing this time, too surprised to even acknowledge it.

Jack suddenly stopped clawing through his bedsheets and slowly turned his head towards the empty plate of food sitting on a cart in the corner of his room. His panic turned to anger instantly.

"Ah, you figured it out, didn't you?" the spirit teased.

Jack clenched his jaw so tightly that he thought he might crack one of his teeth. He turned towards the darkness with a terrifying expression on his face.

"A servant," he hissed. "They took it."

"Well, duh."

Jack angrily clenched his fists to the sides and began to stomp around his room.

"I have to find out who took it. I must. I will question every single servant in this castle-"

"Would you calm down?" the spirit interrupted. "Gods, you blow your cover once and you go completely ballistic-"

"This isn't a calming matter!" Jack suddenly shouted. "Nobody was supposed to see that! Nobody! There was a reason I had to kill that idiot of a night guard!"

Jack pinched the bridge of his nose and paced around his room frantically.

"If they find out I've been meddling with dark magic, I'll be banished from this kingdom! Possibly even executed! What am I going to do now?"

For once, the darkness didn't have a sarcastic answer to reply to that question.

"I don't know."

"So, no evidence of any weapons lying around the room. No finger prints, no pieces of clothing, nothing?"

Link sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in stress.

"Darrien, we've been trying the best we can. But there's absolutely nothing at all."

The court room went silent, in shock that there was still no evidence towards the body found in the castle. All except for one piece of the puzzle.

"There is one piece of evidence that is extremely compelling," a court member nervously spoke up, breaking the tense silence.

Darrien whipped his head towards the court member and shook his head rapidly.

"How dare you bring that up in front of his own father," Darrien snapped. "How dare you so ignorantly accuse him-"

"It's quite alright," Link interrupted kindly, waving Darrien off.

Darrien went silent and turned his attention back towards Link. He sighed and pressed his palm to his forehead, clearly stressed.

"I apologize about that," Darrien said to Link, motioning his hand towards the court member who had just spoken up. "I'd like to confirm that I have absolutely zero suspicions about your son-"

Suddenly, the double doors to the court room burst open, interrupting Darrien's apology. A beautiful young woman stepped inside, clutching a red book tightly in her hand.

"My apologies for interrupting your meeting," she said, bowing awkwardly.

Everyone in the room stared at her in confusion, wondering why she had just burst into the room like no one's business. The room was silent, so quiet that it was practically deafening. The woman shifted on her feet awkwardly, uncomfortable with all the attention.

"Jessica," Damien started, breaking the silence. "It is extremely improper for you to just burst into here like that. You should know this by now."

Jessica bowed awkwardly again, gluing her eyes to the floor beneath her. Her face began to grow red under the intense gaze of the court members and Link.

"I-I'm sorry," she stammered. "I just need to talk to one of you, if you don't mind."

Darrien raised an eyebrow at her and turned to the rest of his court. Some of the members just shrugged, not really caring if she wanted to speak to them or not.

Darrien turned back to Jessica and nodded at her.

"Very well," he gave in. "You may explain yourself."

Jessica slowly walked towards the table the court members were sitting at and placed the red book that she was holding onto the table. The court members raised their eyebrows, a little confused.

"I found this book," she stated, pointing her finger towards the large book sitting on the table. "And I can't seem to understand what it's language is written in."

One of the court members picked up the book and studied the cover, attempting to read the strange symbols in the title. He squinted at the book, trying to decipher what the title was saying.

"Could this be in ancient Gerudo?" one of the members asked, looking around at the other members.

"Give me that," another court member said, now a little intrigued by the book. He snatched it from the other court member's hands and squinted at the book.

"No, no way," the court member decided. "This language is completely unrecognizable. It's just a bunch of weird symbols."

The court members began to pass the book around, each one squinting at the cover. Link silently watched from afar, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

Darrien was the only person in the room who looked disinterested, or perhaps even bored. He rolled his eyes and turned towards Jessica.

"You burst in here and disrupt our meeting for this?" Darrien scolded, motioning his hands towards the old book on the table. "I'm sorry, but what you want us to figure out seems very irrelevant-"

"I found it in General Jack's room," Jessica suddenly blurted.

The room went deadly silent. Everybody in the room collectively raised their eyebrows, including Link.

Darrien's eyes widened, more so in panic than in shock. A panicked expression washed over his face, his fear obvious to those around him. Link eyed Darrien curiously and noticed his panicked expression, observing that his face had gone ghostly pale. Link quickly averted his gaze and looked back at the book, deciding not to speak on it.

"W-why were you in there alone?" a court member asked Jessica, breaking the tense silence.

Jessica took a deep breath, prepared to explain herself. If she didn't explain herself well enough, she could be thrown in the dungeons for snooping around in a royalty's chambers.

"Last night, General Jack had not come to supper," she started to explain. "I figured he just simply forgot to come to dinner, so I took some of the leftover food from the kitchen and brought him a plate to his chambers. I knocked on his door, but there was no answer, so I decided to let myself in and leave the food there for him to eat once he returned. Once I placed the food in his room, I noticed that book lying face up on his bed. I decided to take it. I figured it could maybe be some evidence towards the murder, since some of you seem to have your eyes on him as the prime suspect."

The court sat there in shock, all silent as a church mouse. Why did the general have such a strange book in a completely different language?

"C-captain Link?" a court member sputtered. "Would you maybe be able to recognize what this book is saying?"

Link raised his eyebrows in surprise and began to walk towards the table. He pulled out an extra chair from under the table and sat in it, the chair creaking slightly from his body weight. Link then reached over the table and grabbed the book.

"Hmmm…let's take a look here…"

Link opened the book and began to flip through the pages, studying the strange symbols closely. Suddenly, his eyebrows shot up to the top of his head.

Memories began to flash through his mind. Flashbacks of his journey as a young man began to replay in his mind. So many people and places popped up in his memories. Ilia, Midna, Ganondorf, Zelda, Zant. They all began to pop up in his mind, his early encounters with them replaying rapidly. He remembered the darkness he faced, the twilight. Everything.

Link dropped the book with a gasp, startling the other court members.

He immediately recognized those dark symbols. The language. He knew exactly where it was from.

"Captain Link?" one of the court members questioned nervously. "Are you alright?"

Link's hands were trembling. He shot his eyes up towards the court member with a shocked look in his eyes. He didn't want to announce to the court what he had just discovered about his son, but he had to.

"This is the language of the Twili," he said slowly, pointing a shaky finger at the book. "This is a book they use to practice dark magic."

The court and Jessica all collectively gasped. They all looked at each other in complete shock, unable to even process what Link had just announced. Practices of dark magic were highly forbidden in Hyrule, sometimes even punishable by death.

"W-what are we going to do?" a court member sputtered.

"We would have to exile him," another said. "Or possibly, even execute him. This gives us even more reason to believe that he is responsible for the dead body found in the castle."

The court began to argue with one another, not able to even believe what they were going to have to do. Link's head was practically spinning, not even able to process what was going on around him. Their arguments sounded like muffled voices to him, with their mouths just spewing out pointless words. Through all the chaos, Link glanced at Darrien. The head of the court's face was ghostly pale, and his hands were trembling. His eyes were wide with fear, and his mouth was screwed shut. Link began to become a little suspicious of Darrien. Why did he look scared, instead of surprised?

"We need to send someone out for General Jack's arrest," one of the court members said. "Immediately."

All of the court members stopped arguing and nodded their heads in agreement. Jessica also nodded her head, agreeing with the court members.

On the inside, Link was screaming with protest. He couldn't bear to witness his own son being arrested. He couldn't bear to let the castle so cruelly execute him. He couldn't let them do that. But there was nothing he could truly do to protect his son.

"Who do you suggest places the arrest, Darrien?" one of the court members questioned.

Darrien, still paralyzed with fear, lifted his head slightly to make eye contact with the court member. A few moments of silence passed as Darrien continued to stare at the court member, unsure of what to even say.

"I…I…" Darrien managed to choke out. "S-send a couple of soldiers from Branch A to arrest him."

The court member nodded quickly and shot up out of his seat, ready to make the announcement to Branch A.

Jack stomped down the stairs and into the dining hall, his cloak swaying behind him. The cooks and servants were cleaning up the dining hall, picking up empty plates and scooping up extra bits of food that had fallen on the floor.

Jack stomped up to one of the male servants, his nostrils flaring and his eyes widened in anger. The servant flinched a little, extremely startled by Jack's sudden approach and his angry facial expression.

"H-hello General Jack," the servant sputtered, bowing quickly. "How m-may I help you-"

"Who came up to my room last night and brought me food?" Jack interrupted, his tone clearly irritated.

The rest of the servants halted their conversations and looked over at the practically fuming general. The room quickly went silent.

"I-I'm sorry sir, I'm not sure what you mean-"

"Who. Was. It."

The servant was paralyzed with fear, practically stiff as a board. He stared back into Jack's dark eyes, too afraid to even speak. He had never directly spoken to the general, and he was perfectly fine with that. The servant had always found him to be intimidating, and this encounter with the general was only proving his accusations.

"I…don't know," the servant finally said after a few moments of unbearable silence.

Jack gritted his teeth together and whirled around to face the other servants. The servants flinched, scared to be approached by the clearly irritated general.

"Any of you care to enlighten me on who it was?" Jack asked angrily.

None of the servants dared to even make a peep. They all just stared back at Jack with wide eyes and closed mouths.

Jack closed his eyes in frustration and exhaled quickly out of his nose.

"If none of you speak up, you all will be kicked out of this castle immediately-"

"It was Jessica," a servant suddenly interrupted, stepping a little closer towards Jack. "She brought you the food. She thought you missed dinner."

Jack's fists clenched tightly at his sides, his fingernails digging dents into his palms. His eyes flared with anger, and his teeth were gritted together tightly.

"That bitch…" he mumbled under his breath. His eyes suddenly shot up towards the servant who spoke, making intense eye contact.

"Where is she now?" he asked, his tone a little less irritated than before.

The servant tensed up at the question. She knew exactly where Jessica was, but she wasn't going to tell him. Something about this encounter felt very wrong.

"I don't know where she is at the moment," the servant lied, trying to make her voice sound as nonchalant as possible. "Maybe she is with Queen Zelda?"

Jack suddenly stalked off from the dining hall and began walking towards the stairs in the main room of the castle. He ascended the stairs, stomping up them loudly. Once he reached the top, he immediately turned left and began to head towards his mother's bedroom.

He came to a screeching halt when he spotted his mother's room. Without any warning, he turned the knob and swung open the door. He practically barreled into the room, leaving the door wide open behind him.

Zelda jumped, extremely startled by her son's sudden entrance. She was standing at her mirror, fixing her makeup and hair for the day.

"Gods, Jackie, do you even knock? What the hell is wrong with you?"

She studied her son, immediately noticing that something was off about him. His face was slightly red, and his lips were sealed tightly together. His fists were clenched, as well as his jaw. His eyes were abnormally dark, with his pupils widened quite a bit.

"Is Jessica in here?" Jack asked quickly. He seemed restless.

Zelda raised an eyebrow at him, confused as to why he would possibly be asking for Jessica.

"Um, no," Zelda replied confusingly. "What on Earth do you want with her-"

"Freeze!"

Jack and Zelda both whirled around, facing two large soldiers standing outside of the Queen's door.

"Jack, put your hands in the air," one of the soldiers hissed, pointing his sword at him.

Zelda looked at the soldiers with wide eyes, more confused than she had even been in her life. What was happening?

"What the hell?" she shouted at the soldiers. "What's going on?"

Jack raised his hands in the air, obeying the soldiers before him. One of the soldiers strapped his sword back onto his leg and pulled out shackles from his pocket.

"Your son is under arrest for practices of dark magic and the murder of Georgie Cloves," he stated flatly, grabbing Jack's arms firmly and pinning them behind his back.

Zelda's mouth hung open in shock. Her head began to pound, making the room spin in front of her. She felt like she was going to be sick.

Jack's face was emotionless, but he was boiling with rage. As soon as the shackles were placed around his wrists, he kicked the soldier in the knee, causing him to fall back a bit.

"Hey!" the soldier yelled. The soldier ran back towards Jack and rammed into him, sending them both tumbling to the ground.

"Oh my gods!" Zelda screamed as the two men both wrestled on the ground before her eyes. "Get off him!"

The soldier ignored the Queen's protests, getting on top on Jack and pinning his head to the ground with both on his hands. Jack flailed around viciously, but he couldn't seem to knock the large solider off him.

"Get off me, you bastard!" Jack hissed, jerking around helplessly. The soldier only pressed down on him harder, crushing him into the ground. Jack cried out in pain, feeling like his left arm was going to snap under the soldier's body weight.

The Queen began to yell even louder, her protests becoming more aggressive as she watched her son helplessly squirm under the soldier. Two other soldiers came rushing into Zelda's bedroom, attempting to help the soldier properly arrest Jack. The soldier got off Jack and immediately grabbed both of his arms. The other two soldiers helped heave him up off the ground, grunting in effort.

Jack was back on his feet, now this time surrounded by two more soldiers. His hands were shackled together, and his shoulders were held firmly by two soldiers standing on each of his sides.

"No, no, no!" Zelda screamed, lunging towards Jack and the two soldiers by his sides. Another solider stepped in front of her, grabbing her and pulling her away from Jack.

"That's my son!" she screamed, pounding into the soldier's chest with her fists. She was hysterical.

"My queen, it'll be alright," the soldier said softly, still grabbing hold of her firmly. "It'll be fine."

Zelda ignored the soldier's kind words and continued to scream in protest as her son was dragged out of the room by the rest of the soldiers.

Hey everyone! This was a pretty tense chapter, so I hope you all enjoyed it.

I might have to push my updates to weekly instead of every four days. I've just been busy and I get home late almost everyday from work or going out with my friends, so it's kind of hard to write when I'm super tired. I usually got my writing done later in the day, but I haven't really been home to do that. But of course, I still have the weekends to finish these chapters. I will probably update every Saturday or Sunday during the day from now on.

Anyways, please review! I'd appreciate it so much. You guys inspire me to write more everyday. Let me know what you guys think of this chapter!

Review Responses:

NTDOFAnonymous: I'm glad you liked it. It's kind of hard to pick who's in the wrong, because both Link and Zelda did some bad things, you know? And yeah, Jack and Darrien's conversation was supposed to help kind of explain some things.

Jose: Yes I agree, poor Link. He's just too guilty to even try to blame anybody else for what happened. I am glad you enjoyed this chapter!
