Chapter 3
Luz had gotten up very early that Sunday morning. She had been so excited that she almost hadn't fallen asleep the previous night. Vee had been kept up a little more than an hour later than she would have liked as Luz couldn't help but keep talking to her while they were both in their respective beds. By the time Vee had managed to wake up, Luz had already washed, dressed and started to prepare breakfast for everyone.
As Vee groggily entered the kitchen, wiping the sleep from her eyes, Luz greeted her with a powerful hug. Vee grumbled at the sudden show of affection, still a bit grumpy with Luz for being kept up so late. Luz paid it no mind and happily returned to stacking a few fluffy, golden pancakes onto a plate for Vee. She set it onto the table, pouring ample syrup on top of them and providing a tall glass of orange juice as well. Then she returned to her bowl of batter and began cooking the next batch of pancakes while Vee sat down to eat.
Camila stepped into the kitchen, the alluring smell of the food having caught her attention the moment she had woken up. Just as she had done with Vee, Luz greeted her mother with a big hug before needing to flip the pancakes currently in the skillet. She set them onto a plate when they were ready, pouring honey over them instead of syrup as it was her mother's preference. Luz had also prepared a mug of hot coffee for her mother to go with her breakfast, setting it down along with the plate.
As Luz set down her mother's food, she blew a kiss at it before returning to the stove to begin on her own meal. Camila giggled at the gesture that her daughter had been doing ever since she started cooking. It was her own little way of adding something extra to each dish, like a not-so-secret ingredient that worked well with every recipe.
Luz hummed happily as she poured the last of the batter onto the skillet. She stepped over to the sink really quick to place the mixing bowl in and rinsed it out while she gave her pancakes a minute to heat up. Camila couldn't help but smile at the way Luz was behaving, especially compared to how she had been acting only just one day prior.
"You're certainly in a good mood this morning, Mija." Camila commented as she began cutting into her stack of pancakes.
"I'm in an awesome mood!" Luz replied. "I get to spend some time with my girlfriend today and finally see everyone from Bonesborough again. Today is going to be so great!"
She finished cooking her food and joined the other two at the table. After drenching her pancakes with both syrup and honey, Luz began to use her fork to rip pieces out of the stack and shovel them into her mouth. Vee wrinkled her nose a bit at the sloppy approach, but Camila just giggled at her daughter's complete lack of table manners.
"It's so nice to have you acting like yourself again." She said, reaching over to ruffle her child's hair. "I feel like I finally have my baby back now."
Luz giggled and continued to voraciously stuff her face. She finished her plate faster than either Vee or her mother and went to the sink for washing. Once it was clean and dry, she put it away and went back to the table to sit with her family.
"So Mamá, do you think I can take some of that old junk in the basement with me when I leave?" She asked. "I know someone who'd be happy to take it off of our hands."
"I suppose that would be alright." Camila replied. "But I still want to hear a lot more about what happened to you while you were in the Demon Realm, Mija. After that surprise visit from your girlfriend yesterday, you're being more talkative and I want to take advantage of that. I want the whole story."
"Okay." Luz said with a nod. "So, remember when you talked to me that day I was supposed to go to camp and I threw my Azura book in the trash? Well, something really interesting happened after you went back inside. A little owl had stolen my book and I chased it into the woods out back…"
Over the course of the next hour, Luz explained as much as she could about her first weeks in Bonesborough. Many details were either changed or omitted to avoid anything too shocking. Although there was quite a bit which Camila didn't seem very fond of, such as some of Eda's habits or the couple of instances which Luz had shared where she had gotten herself into trouble.
Eventually Camila had to request a pause on the story as she had to start preparing for work. While she went to get changed into her scrubs, Luz went into the basement and got an old cardboard box with assorted things that had not caught any interest during the rare occasions they had done yard sales. It was a little on the heavy side, but not so much she couldn't manage to get it upstairs. She did have to acknowledge that getting it all the way to the Owl House would be more of an endeavor than she had first thought as she set it down in the hallway.
The doorbell rang and Luz excitedly rushed over to answer. She got the door, finding Amity on the front steps as she expected, her school bag slung over her shoulder. After inviting her girlfriend inside and closing the door, Luz went in to greet Amity with a quick smooch. However she was surprised to find that Amity actually dodged the incoming show of affection, leaving her horribly confused.
"Sorry." Amity said, grimacing at the disappointed look in Luz's eyes. "But I don't think I want to have a repeat of how things went yesterday when I arrived here. Please don't take it the wrong way."
"Aw, are you still embarrassed about that little peck you gave me?" Luz asked, a teasing smile on her face. "You're so cute when you're being shy, Am-Am. But that's alright, I can set that kiss aside to give to you later."
Amity giggled. "I'll be holding you to that, Luz. Anyway, I brought something for your mother." She said, reaching into her bag. "A little token of my appreciation for allowing me over yesterday after I just showed up unannounced."
From her bag, Amity extracted a pink bubble. Within the bubble was a tiny potted flower. Amity dispersed the bubble with one twirl of her finger and with another, the flower and its pot grew to a much larger size. As her girlfriend had to shift both hands beneath the object, Luz let out a gasp of awe.
"I had almost forgotten just how cool magic could be!" Luz gushed. "What else have you learned to do?"
"Plenty of interesting and practical spells." Amity answered proudly. "I'd love to show you more, but I don't want to take any chances. I still feel bad about frightening your mother yesterday."
"Well the gift will definitely help score some points, but she's already forgiven you, remember?" Luz pointed out. "I doubt she'd have the same reaction to just any old spell. So don't be shy, show me another one!"
"Or… I could show you the gift I brought for you." Amity replied, the corners of her mouth turning up into a knowing grin. "A little favorite of yours that we enjoyed during our club meetings."
Luz gasped excitedly. "You brought me a box of chocolate covered scarabs?!"
Amity blinked. "Oh… um, no. I hadn't realized you enjoyed those so much. Not with how often they bit you back."
"Yeah, that's never any fun. But the crunchiness and flavor are so worth it. Besides, I was getting the hang of them." Luz said, waving her hand dismissively. "So if not those, what did you bring? Is it fairy cookies?"
With a smile and a nod, Amity wiggled one finger in a circular motion while keeping both hands on the pot. From her bag a small baker's box floated out, enveloped in a pink magical aura. The box hovered over to Luz, who grabbed it eagerly with a giddy expression on her face. Unable to restrain herself, she opened the lid of the box and reached in to grab one, licking her lips at the sight of the treat.
"I hope you don't mind that I got you store bought ones." Amity said. "I would have loved to bake some for you, but I didn't have the time."
"Aw, that's okay. I know you had a lot going on yesterday." Luz replied, giving Amity a smile. "And anything you'd get for me will make me happy, you know that."
Luz popped the whole cookie into her mouth, immensely enjoying the sweet flavor and unique crunch they possessed. As she went in for another one, Vee walked by on her way from the kitchen to the living room. Amity waved to her, a tiny, awkward smile on her face as she did so. Vee waved back and Luz held out a cookie to her as she was passing by.
"Vee, you gotta try one of these!" She insisted, holding out a fairy cookie. "They are so yummy!"
She waved the cookie a little, as if it would make it seem more enticing. Vee took it and after a little hesitation, gave it a little bite. Her eyes lit up as she discovered how tasty they were, eating the rest of the cookie all at once. As soon as she finished chewing and swallowing the baked good, Luz held out another for her which she more than happily accepted.
"I see that you like them." Luz noted. "If you think these are good, you need to try the one's that Amity bakes herself. They're even better."
"If you like, I can make some for you." Amity offered. "I was planning to make some for Luz when I have the time anyway. Unless there's a different food you'd like better."
"Not really." Vee replied. "I didn't really get to eat a lot of foods when I was living in the Demon Realm. All I ever got to eat for most of my life was the magical essence of other creatures that the guards threw into my cell."
An awkward silence formed after that. Neither Luz nor Amity could think of anything to say in response. Vee finished her second cookie and held out her hand, hoping for another. Luz didn't hesitate to provide and Vee went to head upstairs, thanking Luz before she went.
Less than a minute later, Camila came out of her own room and made her way to the front door. She was checking her handbag to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything like her phone charger or her hand sanitizer as she went, not noticing their guest at first. When she did see Amity, she stopped and stared at the large pot with the tall, violet colored flower in the teen's hands. Amity stepped forward and held it out to Camila.
"This is for you." She said. "It's just a little something to thank you for being so kind to me yesterday."
"It's beautiful." Camila commented, accepting the gift. "Thank you Amity! I've never seen a flower like this before, what is it?"
"It's a Serpent Lily." Amity answered. "They're popular household plants as they eat mice, rats and other vermin."
"They do?" Camila asked, looking at the plant with a mix of curiosity and wariness.
Amity nodded. "Yes, they lure the vermin in with their sweet scent and engulf them whole. After their petals close around their prey, they swallow it, sending it through their highly pliant stems down into the soil where their roots ensnare the prey and begin absorbing nutrients from them while they are still alive."
"Oh, how… lovely…" Camila said, an uneasy smile on her face. "And it was very thoughtful of you. I hope it wasn't too difficult carrying it all the way here."
"It wasn't." Luz said excitedly. "She used her magic to shrink it down. Hang on, I have an idea."
Luz rushed over to where she had left the box of junk she had gotten out of the basement. Crouching down, she began to push it over to her mother and girlfriend, stopping between them. She then stood upright again and faced Amity, gesturing to the large box on the floor.
"Use that spell on this, Am-Am! It would make it so much easier to carry!" She insisted.
For a moment, Amity hesitated. She still felt unsure of using her magic in front of Luz's mother. But she found herself caught as now both Luz and Mrs. Noceda were gazing at her expectantly. Amity gave in and took a quick breath before twirling her finger once to shrink the box and then a second time to encase it in a magic bubble.
¡Increíble!" Camila said in awe. "That was…."
"Amazing?" Luz suggested. "Impressive? Super cool?"
Camila giggled. "Yes, it was all of those things. Luz was right, you are quite talented Amity. At least as far as I can tell."
"Thank you." Amity said softly, retrieving the bubbled box and storing it into her bag. "I study and practice a lot, so I appreciate hearing that sort of thing."
"Well, I'll trust that you will do your best to look after my daughter while the two of you are out today." Camila told her.
"Hey, I can look after myself!" Luz interjected. "Once I go back there, I can use my own magic again!"
"And she's very good with it too." Amity added. "We'll be able to look after each other, with no problems at all."
"I hope not." Camila said, looking to her child almost a bit sadly. "Be safe, okay? I don't want to lose you again."
"Don't worry, you won't." Luz said, giving her mother a farewell hug. "Te amo, Mamá."
"Te amo también." Camila replied. "Make sure you're back by noon, alright? I'll be calling you to make sure."
"Okay!" Luz said with a nod as she grabbed her bag, stowing away her box of cookies inside of it. "I promise I won't be late!"
Luz and Amity left, heading around back and through the trees to the old abandoned house that was a short distance behind Luz's own home. They entered the structure, Amity checking to make sure they hadn't been seen before fully stepping inside. Standing in the center of the room was a new portal door. Luz could hardly believe it even though she had no reason to doubt her eyes. She stood still and just stared at it, overwhelmed with joy.
The new portal had ornate borders that looked like vines with gilded owls decorating the corners. In place of the large, glaring eye there was a likeness of Eda was on the door, very much like the one on her wanted posters. The doorknob and keyhole were not in the center like they had been with the old one, but instead were on the right hand side. As they approached, the door opened by itself and Luz couldn't help but hurry the rest of the way up to see.
To Luz's surprise, the portal did not lead into the woods somewhere near Eda's property like it she had expected. Instead she saw a bedroom on the other side of the portal, which she quickly recognized as Amity's room. Emira and Edric were waiting for them near the portal. The two older teens turned to look their way as they entered from the other side, smiling when they saw Luz.
"Hey Luz!" They greeted simultaneously, stepping over to her.
"We are so happy to see you again!" Emira said. "It is so cool to have you back!"
"It's a good thing too." Edric noted, smirking in Amity's direction. "Mittens went a little crazy after she found out you were gone."
"More than just a little." Emira corrected, giving her younger sister a cold glance. "Saying she was emotional doesn't quite cover it. Not to mention defensive."
Amity smiled nervously. "Yeah, I didn't handle the news well… Not my best moment."
"That's an understatement." Edric said. "You acted moody for weeks. Hardly spoke a word to anyone too."
"And she wasn't taking good care of herself either." Emira added. "She had to be forced to go and shower by our mother, like she was a little witchling again. So pathetic."
"Yes, I was pathetic." Amity admitted. "And I don't plan to let myself become like that ever again."
"Uh-huh, well for your sake let's hope not." Emira said, giving her sister a condescending look. "It would be a shame to chase Luz away after you finally got her back, Amity. We'll be going now. We don't have any more time to babysit you." She said, waving to Luz as she turned to leave. "Later, Luz! It was great seeing you again!"
"Yeah, we need to hang out sometime!" Edric added as he followed his twin. "When you get bored of Mittens, come and find us! We'll take you somewhere cool to do something fun!"
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm never getting bored of my Am-Am!" Luz called to them, waving as they exited the room.
"Thank goodness they're finally gone." Amity muttered, more to herself than to her guest as she sat on her bed.
"You handled their teasing pretty well." Luz noted taking a seat beside her.
"I've discovered that if I play along with them, it denies them their fun." Amity replied. "Although, it isn't always so easy. Emira has been a bit spiteful towards me lately."
"Why? Did you do something to upset her?"
Amity hesitated. "Yes… I did something very selfish…" She said, looking ashamed of herself. "If I told you, you're going to be upset with me too."
"What do you mean?" Luz asked. "Why would I be upset about it? What did you do to her?"
There was an uncomfortable silence. It quickly became obvious to Luz that Amity was definitely afraid to answer her question. But Amity knew that she had already said too much and that it would only be a matter of time before Luz found out anyway. Amity closed her eyes tight and just let the truth flow out.
"It was a little over a month after you left. I was so upset after I found out that I became depressed and just didn't do much of anything aside of study anymore. Emira tried to get me out there to find someone else, but I didn't want to give up on you. I got stubborn and yelled at her and she…. She just asked me what you would have thought if you had seen how miserable I was. She told me that you'd want me to try and be happy and that really touched a nerve."
"Why?" Luz asked. "I would want you to be happy."
"I was in a bad mood already and having her tell me that only made me feel worse. It was like she was telling me to forget about you and I really hated that. So, I took her advice and tried to move on… by asking out the girl she liked to spite her. And on the same day she was planning to do it herself too."
Luz's jaw dropped. "Amity… you didn't!"
"I did. And it completely backfired on me. Emira walked in on us and called me out for what I was doing." Amity shamefully replied, grabbing at the hem of her skirt. "She's been treating me coldly ever since. And I'm not exactly in good standing with some other students at Hexside because of what I did either."
"Amity…. I… I don't know how to feel about this…" Luz admitted, rubbing her arm and looking away from her girlfriend. "I never would have thought you'd do something like that…"
"I'm so sorry." Amity told her, letting her head hang in shame.
She felt Luz pull her close and after getting past the initial surprise, sank into the embrace. Luz kept it brief, gazing seriously into Amity's eyes with her hands on her girlfriend's shoulders. Amity couldn't see any anger or even disappointment in those gorgeous hazel orbs and she wasn't entirely sure if that was a good thing.
"If you're sorry then you need to make things right with your sister." Luz told her. "And I will help you if you want. Just say the word and we can…"
"We can fix this together." Amity finished, allowing herself a small smile. "Thanks."
"Anytime, hermosa." Luz replied. "Now, let's put a pin in that for a later time, okay? I wanna get going to see Eda and everyone else!"
Amity smiled and nodded in agreement. She knelt down by her bed and leaned over to look underneath, clicking her tongue a few times. From beneath her bed, Ghost came out, stretching and yawning after being woken up from her nap. Luz let out a delighted squeal and moved down onto the floor, reaching out to pet the Palisman who craned her head happily to accept the attention.
Luz took a minute to fawn over Ghost, Amity calling on her vial of abomination goo in which she had hidden the portal key. She placed the key into the lock and turned it, the portal closing up into his smaller form. Then she took it in hand and went to her bedroom door, checking to see if either of her parents happened to be coming. With the coast clear she shut the door again and drew a magic circle in the air to call forth an abomination, its goo rising out of the spaces between the floorboards.
"Abomination, hide this in the same place as before." She instructed, shoving the portal case into the body of the creature. "Then return to this spot and hide yourself away again."
The abomination gurgled in response and trudged off to follow its orders. Instead of going to the door however, it went to the wall and placed its hand onto the surface. After a couple of seconds, a very narrow opening appeared in the wall and the abomination slipped inside of it, the wall sealing up again afterwards. As she witnessed the display, Luz let out a quiet gasp and pointed to the wall where the abomination disappeared, her eyes shining in excitement.
"Your house has secret passages!" She gushed, starting to run in place as she could not contain herself. "That. Is. So. COOL!"
Amity giggled. "It's just for the abominations to use. My father has a hidden room where he stores his important documents and blueprints for his ideas. The portal should be safe in there until we need it again. Now come on, we really have to get going. Eda has been waiting long enough."
She had Ghost reattach herself to her staff and opened her bedroom window. Both she and Luz got onto the staff and Amity began flying them out and towards the Owl House. Luz held onto Amity tight, looking over her shoulder while they traveled. It wasn't long until she could spot Eda's house and she had to resist the urge to try and fly Amity's staff for her, eager to race the rest of the way there.
They touched down on solid ground after another minute of flying. Luz ran up to the house, seeing Hooty right away. The house demon gasped excitedly and stretched out from the door a little as Luz arrived.
"Oh wow, you're really back!" Hooty squawked jovially, swinging himself open. "I can't believe it! Just wait until Eda sees you! EDA!"
Luz gave the house demon a pat on the head as she passed by. The moment she stepped through the door, Luz found herself being pulled into a fierce hug. The air was squeezed from her lungs and she felt a mild pain in her ribs from being slightly crushed in the process. Fortunately for her, it ended before she started turning blue. A pair of old, yet powerful hands gripped her shoulders and she saw the smiling face of her mentor.
"Kid, I've missed you like crazy!" Eda said. "It's so good to see you again! How've ya been?"
"I'm good…" Luz replied, still a bit stunned from the sudden embrace. Once she had fully recovered though, she gave Eda a big hug of her own. "But I'm even better now that I've gotten to see you again too! I'm so glad that you're okay!"
"What, did you think that Belos and his lackeys were gonna nab me again?" Eda asked. "I'll have you know that I've really gotten the hang of my harpy form since the last time you saw me! You should have seen me the last time I ran into those losers. I was flying circles around them, literally! But I'll tell you all about that some other time. For now come on over and have a seat so we can catch up."
Eda led them over to the couch and had the teens sit down while she went into the kitchen for some refreshments. A few minutes later she emerged again with three empty cups and a large carton of apple blood. She poured some for all of them and sat down beside Luz, putting her arm around her and giving her a side hug. Luz didn't hesitate to lean into the embrace, happily giggling from the attention.
"So, don't leave me waiting." Eda said, sipping from her cup. "Fill me in on what's been going on with you since we last saw each other."
"Not really anything interesting." Luz answered. "Just human school and a lot of nothing, really. But there is something I really wanted to talk to you about. We have a big holiday coming up in the human realm."
"I think I know the one you're talking about." Eda replied. "It's that one with all the lights and a fat guy breaks into your house, right?"
"Breaks into your house?" Amity repeated with a mix of confusion and surprise. "That can't be right. You have to be mistaken, Eda."
Luz turned to face Amity and shook her head. "Not really. She's talking about Santa, who travels all over the world to bring presents to people who celebrate Christmas."
"And this Santa person… he breaks into houses?" Amity asked, looking concerned.
"From what I've gathered in my time in the Human Realm, that's how he does it." Eda told her. "According to human legends, he has magic that lets him squeeze his big behind down chimneys and humans leave him offerings of cookies in exchange for gifts. Not a bad trade if you ask me. He's practically giving stuff away for free."
"On the subject of giving things to people..." Luz said. "I have something for you. Amity mentioned that you wanted to get more human stuff for your stand. So I got some old junk my mom has been wanting to get rid of forever and brought it over for you."
She gestured to Amity, who brought out the bubble from her bag, dispersing it and returning the cardboard box to its original size. Eda's eyes brightened and she tore open the flaps of the box, practically sticking her face inside the moment there was enough room. She began rummaging through it, pulling out cassette tapes and old magazines among other things as she looked over every last thing inside.
"Well this is a good start to my new inventory." Eda said. "I oughta score a nice little profit off of all of this. Be sure to pass along a thanks to your mom for me."
"Or you could thank her yourself." Luz suggested. "I think it would be a good idea if the two of you met. She's probably got a million questions for you."
Eda groaned and rolled her eyes. "I shoulda known that was coming. Alright, we can figure that out later on. Am I going to your place or will she be coming over here for our not so little chat?"
Luz took a moment to think. "Maybe it would be better if you came over to my house." She said. "I don't know if my mom would be ready to see everything the Demon Realm has to offer just yet. But make sure to bring King along so… Hey, hang on a minute…" Luz trailed off for a moment, looking around. "Something isn't right here… Where's King? I thought he'd be super excited to see me again."
Eda stood up and gestured for Luz to follow her. Luz excused herself and got out of Amity's lap, the two of them following Eda up to the second floor, to the room which Luz used to sleep in when she had lived in the Owl House. Inside the room, Luz saw her sleeping bag still lying open on the floor. There was a little lump in the center of it which gently rose and fell in a steady rhythm. Eda unzipped the bag and pulled the top layer away, revealing a slumbering King cuddling with his stuffed rabbit.
Barely able to suppress a squeal of adoration, Luz knelt down beside the slumbering demon. She reached out and gently stroked his fur, gently rousing him from his dreams. He reacted crankily, letting out a grunt and swinging one of his paws at her as he cracked open an eye.
"Luz, cut it out!" He grumbled. "I'm trying to…"
Suddenly his eyes shot open and he was fully awake. He stared at Luz for a moment in disbelief. But then he scrambled into Luz's lap, starting to cry and buried his face into her shoulder. Luz held him in her arms, squeezing him gently while she waited for him to finish his cry.
"It's okay buddy." She whispered. "I'm here. Luz is back."
After a little more time, King managed to calm down. He sniffled and wiped away the moisture on his skull, seemingly a bit frustrated with himself for his own behavior. Luz smiled at him while he regained his composure and then gave her a stern glare and thrusted out one of his paws at her.
"You aren't allowed to leave again!" King ordered. "Not ever again unless I say so! Got it?!"
"Yes, your majesty." Luz replied with a giggle. "I promise to always ask your permission before I go home from now on."
"Good. Now King demands another hug!"
Luz happily complied and carried the demanding little demon with her as they returned down to the living room. King nestled against her and closed his eyes again, starting to drift off back to sleep. When they got back to the living room and settled down on the couch again, King let out a yawn and curled up on Luz's lap. His naptime was soon interrupted again however as the front door suddenly slammed open.
"Knock, knock! Hoot's there?" Hooty screeched. "Some friends! That's hoot!"
King let out a groan and opened his eyes again, looking peeved. "Well if I wasn't awake before, I am now." He griped. "Does he have to be so darned annoying all the time?!"
"I'll take the blame for that one." Eda told him. "I asked Hooty to make sure he let us know when our guests arrived. They've missed you a lot, Luz."
Eda took King from Luz, who went over to greet their guests, too excited to wait even a second longer. Stepping in through the open front door was Lilith, followed by Gus and Willow along with two others who Luz had not expected. Behind her two best friends Luz also saw Boscha and Skara walking into the Owl House. Skara seemed somewhat fascinated by the new surroundings while Boscha seemed indifferent, focusing more on her scroll than anything else.
As they all stepped further inside, Willow and Gus caught sight of Luz, who was already rushing over to greet them. She threw herself at them once she had gotten within tackling distance, nearly toppling them over with the hug in which she had caught them. After they took a moment to adjust to the human squeezing them with all her might, the two returned the gesture before they all separated with the biggest smiles on their faces.
"We've missed you so much!" Willow told her. "When Amity told us you were coming back, I almost didn't believe it!"
"I still don't believe it and you're right here!" Gus added.
"Then maybe I need to give you another hug to help convince you!" Luz said, giving him another quick embrace. "Believe it now?"
Amity stepped over to the group, clearing her throat to gain their attention. Luz noticed a mildly jealous look in her girlfriend's eyes and smiled sheepishly at her in return. She went to Amity's side and took her hand and leaned over to press their cheeks together for a quick little nuzzle. The gesture earned a small giggle from Amity and an eye roll from Boscha who had managed to look away from her scroll.
"Could you two drop the girlfriend stuff until later?" She asked irritably. "I want to go do other things today, so can we just skip to the reason we had to come here already?"
"Boscha! Be nice!" Willow berated, throwing a brief glare Boscha's way.
"Not that I'm complaining, but why are Boscha and Skara here?" Luz asked curiously.
"You said that you wanted to include them in your holiday." Amity answered. "So I got Willow to help me convince them to come along,
"Aw, you're the best, Am-Am!" Luz said before turning to address the group of recent arrivals. "Get comfy everyone. I've got a lot to tell you about my favorite holiday."
To Be Continued.
