Meanwhile, deep inside the Doom Dimension, stone statues of deceased Bakugan lay scattered across the realm. These statues were all that remained of the unfortunate creatures sent here. The Doom Dimension was a dark and barren place where not a single sign of life could be found. Silence filled the land, making it especially creepy. It was also cold and foggy, fitting for this realm's landscape. Any Bakugan sent to this place would probably not survive for more than a few days or weeks if they're lucky.
Just then, a portal opens and another poor soul falls out of it. This was Preyas, sent here after losing the battle against Klaus. He fell out of the portal and landed on the hard ground below. He did not enjoy the trip at all.
"Ow! Jeez, that was a horrible ordeal." He said.
As he was getting up on his feet, Preyas began to observe his new surroundings. He didn't like what he saw: darkness everywhere you look. Hard, rocky lands and mountains. And the bitter, freezing cold air that gave Preyas goosebumps.
"Burr! It's s-so cold out here!" He said, freezing in the cold air. "I need to find some shelter, fast!"
He ran into the barren wasteland, searching for a place to shelter from the cold. He wandered around the realm, shivering in the bitter cold. Preyas wrapped his arms around himself to keep himself somewhat warm, but it proved futile. He knew he wasn't going to survive outside for long without a proper shelter.
"How can this get any worse?" Preyas asked himself.
Then just when he was about to give up on finding a safe haven, Preyas spotted a small cave in the distance. He smiled and ran towards the cave as fast as he could. Once there, he went inside and took shelter.
Preyas was relieved that he at least managed to find a safe haven in the Doom Dimension. He sat on the hard floor and tried to get some rest. He thought back on how he came to be here in the first place. He thought back on that battle with Klaus. How he was able to beat him and Marucho with Sirenoid. Then using a special card that lured him into Sirenoid's trap, thus sending Preyas straight into the Doom Dimension.
Preyas looked outside and thought about his best friend. How could they be so stupid? They knew that Klaus was very strong, not as strong as Masquerade, but still strong enough to be the world's second best brawler. But still they chose to battle him all by themselves without help from the others. And look where it got Preyas: trapped in the Doom Dimension for all eternity with no way out.
"Marucho…" Preyas said somberly. "Why did this have to happen to me?"
He couldn't stop thinking about his best friend. He missed Marucho dearly and wished to see him again. But he knew that wouldn't be the case. No Bakugan has ever returned from the Doom Dimension. This place was like an afterlife for deceased creatures. It was a horrible place that all Bakugan feared and resented.
Preyas looked around for anything to keep him warm from the cold outside. He somehow managed to find a couple of sticks on the ground inside the cave. He put some rocks in a circle and placed the sticks in it. He began rubbing one stick onto another, hoping to make a fire. Preyas rubbed as hard as he could until smoke started to appear.
"Yes! It's working!" He said with relief.
He continued rubbing the wood together until sparks began to fly. Preyas grabbed the burning wood and blew on it until a small fire started. He placed the wood back into the fireplace and gathered some more sticks to make the fire bigger.
Once the fire was big enough, Preyas sat down next to the fireplace to warm himself up. The warm fire helped him a bit, but this was still a dire situation. He was stranded in the Doom Dimension with no way of contacting the outside world and absolutely no way of getting back home.
"I'm so sorry, Marucho. I failed us both." Preyas said to himself.
He felt helpless as he sat close to the fireplace. He thought about Marucho and his friends back home. He missed Marucho so much that he started shedding tears. Preyas knew that Marucho was most likely feeling the same way back on Earth. He knew that his best friend was mourning his disappearance and might never be able to battle ever again. He also thought about his other friends as well.
"Drago, Tigrerra, Skyress, Gorem, Pegatrix... I'm sorry for not being strong enough." Preyas said somberly. "We should've asked for your help."
He thought about how the others were probably mourning him too. He thought about Dan and Drago feeling guilt for not being there to help him and Marucho defeat Klaus and Sirenoid. He also thought about the rest of the team feeling sorry for Marucho, especially Alice. She was always the sweet and caring type. She was most likely comforting Marucho right now. Preyas also thought about Nikita and Pegatrix feeling guilty for not being able to help the two fight Klaus.
"We should've at least let Nikita and Pegatrix help us in that battle." He said. "Why didn't we let any of the others help us?"
Soon, Preyas was beginning to blame himself for his predicament. He blamed himself for not being strong enough. He also blamed himself for failing Marucho as his Guardian Bakugan. He wanted to apologize to Marucho for not being strong enough for him. But he knew deep down that wouldn't be the case. Preyas couldn't tell him he was sorry because he was trapped in the Doom Dimension, unable to escape.
But then, he realized that this wasn't his fault: it was Masquerade's! He was the one who gave Klaus the Doom Card and made him into his minion. It was Masquerade's fault that he was now stuck in this horrid place.
"This wasn't my fault and it wasn't Marucho's fault either. It was all Masquerade! He's the reason I'm stuck here. This is all his fault." Preyas said bitterly.
His mind grew from sadness and guilt to anger and resentment. Masquerade was the one who caused all this trouble for Dan and the others. He gave those Doom Cards to other brawlers in an attempt to defeat them. He was the one who recruited the top brawlers and made them into his personal minions. Masquerade caused a lot of trouble for everyone in the past few weeks. He's also the reason that Preyas is now trapped in the Doom Dimension.
Now, because of Masquerade, Preyas will never see Marucho or any of his friends ever again. No! It can't end like this, he can't give up so easily. He couldn't just accept his fate like this. Preyas wasn't about to go down like rotten garbage. He was determined to find a way out of the Doom Dimension and see his friends again. There has to be a way out of here, there's just gotta be. Nikita always travels to different dimensions, so maybe Preyas could do the same thing.
"Don't worry, Marucho. I will find a way out of here and I will make it back home, no matter what it takes." He said, filled with determination.
Preyas vowed that he would find a way out of the Doom Dimension, no matter what and nothing was going to stop him. Nothing.
