Chap5 Training x for x dummies
The start of this horrible day begins in Gon and killua's apartment. They're sleeping soundly until they sense a presence enter their home. They both spring out of bed and confront the intruder, only to find that it's Anko-sensei with two buckets of water and a dumb look on her face.
"Damn you two were supposed to still be sleeping." She says annoyed
"We were but we were trained to still be aware of our surroundings even when sleep." Killua says cockily
"Well good that you're awake already, since now I've lost my fun I'll take yours away even more today." She says with a grin
"Get dressed and meet me at the training ground for your punishment."
Gon and Killua sweat drop together
At the their training ground Anko is having the time of her life tormenting her favorite brats. She has set up a few activities to get them started
"I want fifty more push ups my star pupils cmon you can do it."
Anko says this as she's layed across their backs while their doing push ups
"Please Anko-sensei can we do them without you on us." Gon pleads
"Nope you two need to make me look good."
"Ughhhh!" They say in unison
"Come on I know you can run faster than that." Anko says with a manic grin
Gon and Killua are being chased around the training ground by some of Anko's snake summons
"You're crazy!" Killua says afraid
"Cmon just ten more hanging sit-ups then we can get to the fun part!" She says with a grin
As Gon and Killua get to the eighth sit up they fall on the ground in a heap
"Oh well that was good enough rest up for now so we can get into your jutsu training."
"Thank you." They say in a wisp
"Good job brats I like what you did with your Hitai-ate by the way."
Gon wears his on his belt to his new shorts and Killua wears his around his neck and it can be pulled up to be a mask
"Alright now that you're warmed up let's work on some core abilities you should have."
"Hold on Anko-sensei I know you're our guide and all but we need to focus on our specialties."
"Yeah we can't focus on stuff that doesn't fit us right now it'll waste our potential." Gon says truthfully
"What do you mean it would waste your potential?" Anko asks angry
"Just for fun what were you planning to teach us." Gon says excited
"Well each Genin has three jutsu they need to be able to do to be considered ready."
"The Transformation jutsu." Anko says as she turns into a clone of Killua
"What that's cool!" Killua says amazed
"The Clone jutsu."
Two Anko clones appear
"And the Substitution jutsu."
"One Anko clone burst into smoke before being replaced with a log."
"That's what you used at the end of our spar." Gon says excited
"You're right, now explain why is it you can't learn these?"
"Well early on when we were learning nen, it was brutally showcased to us that trying to force ourselves to learn a nen type that's not our own leads to inefficiency."
"Nen type?" Anko asks confused
"I think we forgot to explain Killua." Gon says sheepishly
"Well each nen user is born with an affinity to a certain style of nen." Gon says brightly
"We have something similar with chakra it's called chakra nature."
"Gon is an Enhancer so his main focus is his strength and speed and other physical things."
"I'm a transmuter which means I'm good at changing my nen to mimic something else's properties."
"Are there more Nen types?" Anko says trying to follow
"There are four more." Killua says bored
"Conjuration is making something out of your nen so the clone would follow that." Gon says
"You could also do it with Emission which is separating Nen from your body to serve a purpose."
"Also Emission is commonly used for any kind of teleportation which your substitution favors." Killua says with a grin
"Manipulation is controlling yourself or something else with nen."
"Your Transformation jutsu is like my brothers ability to change his appearance with manipulation." Killua says annoyed
"And lastly theirs specialization which is anything that's not the others I think." Gon says shyly
"But only specialist can use specialization and they're rare."
"Wow that's a lot." Anko says lost
"Yeah nen is complicated the more advanced you get." Gon says with smoke coming out of his ears
"There's one more thing that most ninja know how to do and I need to see if it's possible for you." Anko says determined
Anko walks toward a small pond that wasn't in the training ground before. As she gets to it she walks on the water's surface like it's the ground.
"Woaaaaaahhh!" Gon and Killua shout
"Almost all ninja can walk on water and up surfaces with chakra it's really a stepping stone technique but it does have practical use." Anko says as she hops from the water to stand side ways on a tree
"All it looks like you did was focus chakra on your feet." Killua says amazed
"Should we try it Killua." Gon says while focusing nen on his feet
"Might as well." Killua says joining him
"Wait a minute it's not that sim.."
Before Anko can finish Gon and Killua jump on the waters surface and stay afloat.
"Wooaaahhh looks like Tsezguerra-san's technique works." Gon says excited
Anko is astonished as Gon and Killua run around the pond without a care.
"Hold on no fair it takes serious concentration and practice do this."Anko says angry
"Well we are prodigies Anko-sensei we learned the original technique after seeing it once." Killua says with a grin
They jump off the water and land on trees sideways with no issue
"I see so as long as we don't jump we're stuck to surfaces as well." Gon says in wonder
Anko is in disbelief at what she's seeing
"Alright get down here we still have work to do." Anko says with an eye twitch
"Since you can't just learn our techniques you need to know how to counter them instead."
"Yes sensei!" They say together
"We'll work on your counters for a bit then we'll go see Kakashi and his team to help you make your abilities."
"Why Kakashi-sensei?" Gon asks
"He's a ninjutsu specialist, so out of everyone he has the best chance of guiding you."
"Also he apparently has Lightning jutsu right?"
"It's his affinity so yeah it's his best area."
"I'll be better just watch." Killua says cockily
"I like the sound of that so don't disappoint, let's get started."
"Alright Gon and Killua I want you to meet my cute Genin." Kakashi says with a eye smile
"Hi I'm Naruto Uzumaki I'm gonna be Hokage Believe it!" Naruto says with a bright smile
"Oh you're that boy who was yelling throughout the village." Killua says
"Don't mind him he's a fool I'm Sakura Haruno." She says smartly
"Sakura-Chan!" Naruto says whining
"Dobe, I'm Sasuke uchiha I'm curious who you two are."
"We're the ones that fell out the sky." Gon says earnestly
"Right where is your third team mate?"
"Oh we don't have one we're enough." Killua says confidently
"Hmm, I want to fight you." Sasuke says to Killua
"How about both teams spar against eachother." Kakashi says smug
"This will be a good lesson for your team scarecrow once they lose."Anko says without hesitation
"Oh really I am interested to see just how good they are, but I think Naruto and Sasuke are a handful to deal with also they're at number disadvantage."
"That doesn't matter you'll see." Anko says confidently
"Hmm are you two up for it."
"Sure I wanna fight someone more around our level." Gon says getting serious
"Alright ready begin."
Naruto immediately charges forward going for a punch on Gon
Gon dodges easily and pushes his back sending him a few feet away
Sakura cowers back as Sasuke and Killua meet up to fight hand to hand
Sasuke tries to land a hit while Killua evades just barely with his hands in his pockets
"You're not taking this serious." Sasuke says frustrated
"Why would I this is just a friendly spar." Killua says with a grin
"Grrr."
Sasuke flips over Killua before throwing out a roundhouse kick which connects to Killua's side
"Finally." Sasuke says
"Nice move too bad it didn't hurt."
"What?"
Killua recovers from the kick unfazed
"Sorry but you're gonna have to try harder."
Killua precedes to start doing rhythm echo around Sasuke with a dark smile
Sasuke frantically tries the hit the afterimages with shuriken but they just pass through
"What is this genjutsu?" Sasuke says trying to break out
"Oh it's not genjustu just an assassin technique I learned from my family."
Back with Gon and Naruto, Naruto recovers from the shove and starts jumping around the trees around the training ground to catch Gon off guard
Gon chases him and punches the tree he's on knocking it down and sending Naruto falling to the ground
"Woah how are you so strong?" Naruto asks while recovering
"I've always been strong but I worked hard to gain this strength." Gon says looking down at his fist
"You're just naturally that strong you're so lucky." Naruto says envious
"I guess I am." Gon says while looking away
"You alright?"
"I'm fine sorry let's keep going." Gon says refocused
"Let's do it, Shadow clone jutsu."
Four clones of Naruto appeared and charge Gon
Gon expects them to be fake but finds out otherwise when they start swinging on him
"Woah these are solid clones." Gon says as he pops two with a shoulder charge
"Yup and there's more where they came from!" As he spawns 3 more
Sakura finally shakes herself from her stupor and decides to help Sasuke
"Get back Sakura I got this guy, go help the dobe." Sasuke says this as he jumps up and starts hand signs
"Fire style-fire ball jutsu." Sasuke utters as he shoots out the fire ball right into the circle of killua's
Killua jumps out of the way before moving in on Sasuke landing from his jump
Killua kicks Sasuke into the trees before following
Sasuke gets up and looks around for Killua but can't find him anywhere
"You seem pretty frustrated that you're losing any reason why you're not giving up."
Sasuke can hear killua's voice but he can't tell where it's coming from
"Where are you?"
"I see I won't get an answer."
Killua appears behind Sasuke soundlessly before bearing down on him with Ren
"It should have been obvious a bit ago that you don't match up to me very well."
"I can't give up." Sasuke says struggling to handle killua's pressure
"You need to pick your fights better there's a difference between grit and foolishness."
Sasuke drops after a few more seconds of killua's Bloodlust
"Atleast I didn't hurt him too bad." Killua says before picking Sasuke up on his back
Sakura goes over to where Naruto and Gon are fighting and instantly realizes she's out matched
Gon is tearing through every clone Naruto sends his way and is scoring a few hits on the real one
"You don't go down easy and all these clones really are in the way."
"I won't lose Believe it."
Naruto throws some kunai to try and hit Gon but they all miss because Gon is too fast
Gon picks ups a kunai before covering it with shu and throwing it back
The kunai goes through three clones easily before catching on Naruto's jacket while he's dodging
The kunai manages to pin Naruto to a tree by his side
Gon charges forward past the remaining clones and lands a devastating punch to Naruto's stomach that knocks him out
"Oops I think I hit him too hard."
All Naruto's clones poof and Gon picks him up to take back to Kakashi and Anko
Gon and Killua meet up in front of their sensei's and Sakura looking down in shame
"Welp I guess it's obvious who wins, I should have made a bet on it."
"Very true you two are quite incredible."
"Thank you Kakashi-sensei sorry we were so rough on them." Gon says
"It's ok they will learn something from this match even Sakura here."
"I couldn't do a thing." Sakura says sad
"That's ok Sakura you learned that you need to try harder, but are you willing to do that."
Sakura looks at Sasuke with longing before answering
"I don't wanna be a burden so yes I'm willing."
Gon looks off again at the mention of being a burden
"Alright good why don't you wait for Naruto and Sasuke to wake up while me and Anko work with Gon and Killua."
"Why wait she should get started now while she has the time." Killua says
"I agree with the brat, if she wants to catch up with her team and prove her worth than she should get on it."
"I'll work with her over here with the boys while you help Gon and Killua with their abilities they're fast learners like you so it'll be fun."
"Ok if that's good with you two."
"I heard you're the best lightning guy around so I definitely wanna learn what you know."Killua says cocky
"Alright let's get to it."
"So Gon tell me exactly what your abilities entail ."
"Well my ability Jajanken was three abilities in one for a start."
"I used a technique to enhance my punch to as strong as possible for rock."
"Hmm there is something similar we can do called chakra strength."
"A student of lord third uses it to devastating effect but it requires precise control of her chakra."
"Aww man and that's the part of nen that I'm bad at." Gon says whining
"Cmon Gon you can make up the difference if you just practice." Killua says while laughing
"It's not fair you're better at control than me."
"We all have strengths it just matters how you deal with your weaknesses." Kakashi says with a smile
"We'll work on it later what's next."
"Paper was just me shooting a blast of nen but it was never really strong."
"Can you make the blast for me now I'd like to see it."
Kakashi lifts his forehead protector and reveals his eye
"Woah what's that."Killua says
"The sharingan and eye ability that allows me to see chakra and your nen."
Gon puts his finger up and focuses his nen until a small ball of energy hovers over it
"This is all I can do right now." Gon says dissatisfied
"I noticed something as you were making it, you wasted a lot of energy just forming it."
"I told you my control is bad."
"Well to me it looks like you just need to familiarize yourself with releasing the energy more."
"Something like this happens to ninja when they try to use a justu they haven't mastered."
"I want you to hold and maintain that ball of energy for as long as you can."
Gon nods determined
"Now what's the last part?"
"Scissors was me making a blade of nen from my fingers, but it's like I've forgotten what it's like."
"I saw you enhance a kunai when you were fighting Naruto."
"Your nen went into the correct shape to empower it so just mimic that shaping without the kunai." Kakashi deduced
"Onto you Killua."
"Well I only had a few abilities to speak of too and only one is complicated."
"Besides just producing electricity,Lightning palm is just making my hands tasers, and thunderbolt was just me charging up a big lightning strike."
"Very interesting continue."
"My best technique is also my worst in terms of efficiency."
"Kanmaru is me speeding up my body with electricity to surpass my physical limits, but it waste my charge really fast and leaves me without offense after." Killua says annoyed
"Incredibile the raikage of Kumo has a technique like that and he's very dangerous with it."
"So you can't do it can you?" Killua asks hoping
"Nope even I'm not that good." Kakashi says shyly
"Well it's ok I'll be better anyway."
"Very confident aren't you?"
"Well I'm immune to being shocked so that means any offense he might have will be less against me."
"There's a problem with that thinking Killua."
"What do you mean." Killua says confused
"Lightning doesn't just shock it pierces too."
"This is my signature technique that is feared across the nations ."
Kakashi walks over to a tree going through a few hand signs
"Lightning style-Lightning blade
A mass of electricity gathers on kakashi's hand making loud screeching noises
Kakashi thrust his hand and makes a deep hole in the tree easily
"What that's insane teach me that!" Killua says excited
"I can't just teach it to you."
"What why." Killua whines
"For one it takes a lot of energy to use, two to use this technique effectively you need to be moving really fast and not get tunnel vision."
"Easy watch I'll even improve on your technique."
"Oh really let's see about that."
Kakashi hands Killua a small piece of paper
"Channel your electricity into that paper for me I want to see something."
Killua does so and a tiny wrinkle forms on the paper
"Was that supposed to happen." Killua asked
"Well it's supposed to look more like this."
Kakashi takes his own paper and channels his chakra into it
The paper shrivels up instantly with many wrinkles
"If you want to learn my technique then you need to make a leaf shrivel up like this paper here." Kakashi says with a smile
"I'll do it watch." Killua says as he grabs a leaf grumbling
Killua sits there and begins trying to shrivel the leaf
Naruto and Sasuke have come to and are corralled by Anko into attempting the tree walking technique with Sakura
"Why do we have to do this we need to get stronger like them." Sasuke says pointing to Gon and Killua
"Well if you want to get closer to them you need to master this and the technique after. They can do both effortlessly." Anko says
"I'll get it down and catch up with them Believe it!"
Over the next week Gon and Killua would train with Kakashi on their abilities while Team 7 trained with Anko on expanding their chakra pool and control
The week after that Gon and Killua train on their own to surprise Kakashi with their progress
On the last day Anko brings the boys back to Team 7 to show off
"Brats show Kakashi and his team why we're team Ace." She says with an evil grin
Killua steps up to tree and summons a bunch of electricity to his hand before growing his claws and smiles at Kakashi
"I told you I would improve on your technique." Killua grins
Killua stabs the tree and his hand goes all the way through before he pulls back and swipes the tree with his claws and cuts it down finally Killua flicks his fingers and the electricity shoots from his hand like kunai
"If your technique is called Lightning blade than mine is called Lightning claws, simple but better." Killua says confidently
"Now you Gon." Anko says with pride
Gon takes one finger and presses it on the ground releasing a shockwave that shatters it a few feet around him
Gon then walks over to a tree and extends his pointer and middle finger together where a blade of aura sprouts and in one swipe he cuts the tree down
Finally Anko takes a rock from the ground and throws it in the air
Gon looks up before forming a ball of nen in his hand and throwing it at the rock which explodes
"Thank you for your help Kakashi-sensei. I decided to call my ability Nenjutsu to honor your teachings." Gon says with a bow
After all this team 7 is at a loss for words besides Sasuke
"Kakashi-sensei I want to learn those things too."
"Sorry Sasuke I can't teach you what they know their powers work differently than ours." Kakashi says still amazed
"Welp thank you Scarecrow now we can take our first mission a C-rank." Anko says in thought
"What why aren't we able to do C-ranks all we've done is dumb D-ranks!" Naruto yells
"Well for one Gon and me have pretty much perfect synergy. We've been fighting together for awhile before we got here." Killua says bored
"Also D-ranks would be a waste and unnecessary for the secret weapon team. We're essentially a less secret Anbu." Anko says just as bored
The genin of team 7 couldn't believe their ears and eyes looking at seemingly normal genin
"Kakashi-sensei I'll be back to improve some more of your jutsu soon." Killua says as Team Ace leaves
"Lord shimura."a masked shinobi says appearing infront of danzo
"Report." He said flatly
"The two boys Gon and Killua have shown quite impressive fruit from their training with Hatake."
"Have you written up your observations?"
"Yes sir." The shinobi says as he hands it to him
"Good you're dismissed." He says already looking over the report
The shinobi dissapears without a sound and Danzo scans the report thoroughly
"Within 2 weeks the boys have already established themselves offensively how fascinating."
"Hiruzen you fool these boys need to be exploited already to make our next generation of shinobi." Danzo says disappointed
"Let's see how they do on their mission before I accept that traitors proposal to help him invade this village. I'll let him kill off the stubborn fool then eliminate him and take my rightful place as Kage."
Hey guys I'm back sorry for not setting up a update schedule of some kind. Honestly I can't guarantee one but I do want to finish this story I just have to go through the motions. I have so much respect for anyone who finished stories on here because after the honeymoon phase it's hard. Anyway the changes to the cannon are gonna be coming soon just you wait I've got some good ideas. Btw I plan to have the boys get girlfriends eventually and you'll be able to guess who they'll be instantly. These girls in my opinion deserve better treatment then they got in the series so let's see how things go. Thanks for reading and stay inspired.
