I woke up the next morning and looked around... it took my a second before I realized that I was in Asgard. I had a pounding headache and I was still in my dress from last night. I will never drink with Thor or his friends again. I sat up and groaned as my hand landed on a piece of paper on the bed. I found my glasses and looked at the paper.

Ask for a headache cure from the alchemist. The note didn't have a signature, or anything. I had no idea who it could be.

I remember Loki talking to me last night, but that's the last thing I remember. I showered, changed, and went to find this alchemist. My head was pounding. I walked out and no one was really up around the palace. I had slept hard, but still felt so tired. I blamed the drink that they kept giving me. I finally found someone who could show me where I was going. I was on the main street by the palace, and it was just as quiet this morning. I knocked and a woman opened it as she smiled at me.

"Ah, you must be the ambassador. I was told you would be coming by this morning for this." she said and let me in the shop. I walked in behind her and she handed me some fizzy liquid. I looked at her strange and she smiled at me.

"You are meant to drink it." she said and I chuckled as I took a zip... it was awful, but I figured it might be like Alka-Seltzer, so I drank all of it. I sat it down and burped. I quickly covered my lips and felt a blush creep over me.

"Don't worry... I have treated Thor and his friends. You aren't the worse." she said and I chuckled.

"Thank you, what do I owe you?" I asked her and she waved her hand.

"Nothing, one of the princes took care of it." she said and I looked surprised.

"Thank you... may I ask you what you do here?" I asked her and she smiled at me as a kettle went off somewhere.

"Yes, but tea is in order." she said and I smiled at her. She came back with two steaming mugs, and I spent the next few hours with her talking about medicines, cures, and healers they had here. I found out her name was Helga, and she had lost her husband a few years ago in a battle. I found her interesting, and she told me about the princes. I found out they really were as different as they seemed. I was talking to her when someone else knocked on the door. She opened it and let them in.

"Ah, Lady Parker, we were wondering if we scared you off last night." Thor said as he walked into the room.

"No." I said and smiled at Helga.

"She was making a new friend." Helga said and he chuckled.

"She's a good one to know. Would you like to walk with me?" he asked me and I smiled at Helga. She gave a small nod and I stood up. I told her good bye, and walked out with Thor. I found Fandral with him and he smiled at me.

"You were fun to drink with last night." he said and I chuckled.

"I can't keep up with you all." I said and he chuckled. I walked with them as they said hi to people, and found out they went around weekly to check on people. I could tell they really did care about the people of Asgard. We were walking around by the lakes that surround the rocks that support the city, and I was looking at them.

"Would you like to go on a boat ride?" Fandral asked me and I nodded. I loved being on the water. He smiled at me as he offered me his arm.

"Why don't I get everyone else to join us?" Thor asked me and I nodded.

"That would be fun." I said and Fandral nodded. He led us to a boat, and it was beautiful.

"This is a gorgeous." I said and he chuckled.

"Not as much as you." he said and I looked at him surprised.

"I apologize... that was forward." he said and I chuckled as he helped me onto the boat.

"Just unexpected." I said and he smiled as Thor came around the corner to get onto the boat with us.

"They will be here momentarily. I also asked Loki to come." he said and I saw Fandral look at him surprised.

"I think it's nice of you." I said and he nodded.

They all joined us a little later, and Loki even accepted the invite. I wanted to talk to him anyways. Fandral was showing off his skills and we were having fun looking at Asgard. They were all talking and I was sitting beside Loki.

"Thank you for the tip to go to the Alchemist." I said and he chuckled.

"I think you misunderstand me... I'm not that nice." he said and I nodded.

"My bad." I said and he chuckled.

"You did look like you had fun last night." he said and I looked at him surprised. I remember seeing him outside the banquet hall, and chuckled.

"Yes, well, if you were the one who got me to my room, thank you." I said and he looked surprised as Thor came over to us.

"Parker, are you having fun?" he asked me as he sat on the other side of me. I nodded as I looked at him.

"I am, I love this." I said and smiled at him.

"Brother, I'm glad you came." he said to Loki and I looked, but Loki was gone.

"Where did he go?" I asked him and he chuckled.

"I thought it was too good to be true. Loki is able to project himself... it's normal for him to be here, but not be here." he said and I nodded.

We finished up the boat ride, and I went back to the palace with them. Lady Siff was walking back with me as Thor took the others with him to practice.

"You have caught Fandral's eye." she said and I chuckled.

"No, I haven't done anything. I'm just here to be an ambassador." I said and she smirked.

"Besides... I see you looking at Thor." I said to her and she blushed, but shook her head.

"No, he prefers Jane Foster." she said with almost bitterness.

"Maybe on Earth." I said and she looked at me surprised.

"I know that you are party of his merry band of warriors... or thieves depending on the day, but you owe it to yourself to talk to him about it." I said and she hugged me. I was surprised, but hugged her back.

I talked to Sif until dinner time, and I had agreed to train with her tomorrow. I wasn't very hungry and excused myself. I was sitting in a large library, and enjoying the fire. Asgard could get cold overnight. I had found some books, and even some from Earth. I was reading Interview with the Vampire as I heard someone walk up. I looked up to see Loki walking into the library. I watched him as he roamed through the shelves of books. He seemed at home in here, and I almost felt like I was invading in his space.

"I didn't realize anyone else was in here." he said as he walked up to where I was sitting.

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to intrude... the fire was nice." I said and he nodded.

"I can leave." I said as I started to stand up, but my legs were underneath me as my dress got tangled. I was all prepared to fall when two strong arms caught me. I looked up to see Loki holding me as he chuckled. He sat me on my feet and stepped back.

"Thank you... for that." I said and he nodded.

"You aren't all bad." I said as he turned to pick up his book from where he left it when he helped me.

"You don't know me." he said before walking out of the library.
