Thank you for the reviews! You all are amazing!
I walked down to the training room to meet with Sif. I found her, Thor, and Hogun talking outside. They all smiled at me as I walked up to them.
"Lady Parker, are you well?" Hogun asked me and I smiled at him.
"Yes, just slept late." I said and they chuckled. I realized after saying that Loki did walk me back to my room last night... who knows what they thought of that answer.
"Are you feeling ok?" Sif asked me and I nodded as we walked into the training room. Fandral was sparring with Volstagg, but he wasn't doing too well as Fandral was much better with a sword. He spotted us and came over to say hello.
"Lady Parker, how are you? We missed you this morning." he said and I gave a small smile.
"I didn't sleep well and slept too late." I said and he nodded. We talked a little more before Sif and I left the guys alone. She wanted to ride today, and I was fine getting away from them. I didn't want to accidentally run into Loki. We got onto the horses and rode through the streets as we headed out to a field. We hadn't rode this way before as we went towards the mountains.
"Are you alright?" she asked me and I sighed as we trotted along.
"I messed up last night." I said and she seemed alarmed.
"Did Loki hurt you?" she asked me and I had to chuckle at that as I shook my head no.
"No, he went to kiss me... and I was caught of guard. I hurt his feelings." I said and she looked surprised.
"I didn't know you had feelings for him." she said and I smirked.
"Loki has always been a gentleman to me, and we have some connection through sarcasm or something. I don't really know. I was just surprised at his actions." I said and she nodded.
"Loki has changed recently. He was always nice, but when he tried to attack Thor... it was surprising to us. I guess we had been too hard on him. He has always been compared to Thor." she said and I nodded. I could tell that even now that he was still compared to his older brother.
"Did you want to kiss him?" she asked me and I smirked... no matter what world we women were all the same.
"I did... have you kissed Thor?" I asked her and she chuckled.
"Of course." she said and I laughed with her. We continued to ride and talk about things. She was talking to me about Fandral, and gave me advice on Loki. She had known him a long time. We were riding past the mountains when we heard a loud boom and the horses got spooked. I looked at her as he looked up at the mountain.
"What's on the other side?" I asked her as she continued to look up at something.
"Jotunheim." she said and I nodded. I had heard about it in Norse Mythology... who knew that it was true.
"The giants?" I asked her and she looked at me surprised.
"You have heard of them?" she asked me and I nodded.
"It's more legends on Earth, but yes, we know of Jotunheim and the land of giants." I said and she chuckled.
"We call them frost giants since it's a cold icy part of the world." she said and I nodded. We got ready to ride off again when there was another loud boom, and the ground shook. The horses threw both of us off and she landed much more gracefully that I had.
"Parker, are you alright?" she asked me and a sharp pain went through arm. I sat up with a groan and she gasp. I looked down to see my sleeve turning red and I was hurt. She helped me up and I thought we were going to walk back when she yelled for Heimdal. I felt a strange energy and realized that it was the same way that I had gotten to Asgard. We were back in the training room as Sif helped me to sit down. Thor and Fandral came running over as I felt another wave of pain wash over me.
"What happened?" Fandral asked Sif as I focused on not passing out.
"We were near the mountains by Jotunheim and there was a large boom that scared the horses. We both fell off." she said and I nodded in agreement.
"Come on." Fandral said as he carefully picked me up and started to carry me out of the room. We passed Loki as we walked past, but he refused to look at me. I was glad when they took my to the apothecary I had met when I first came to Asgard. She had some things to help patch me up, and got my bleeding to stop. I was glad for her as she made Fandral leave so he would stop standing over me.
"Thank you, Helga." I said and she smiled at me.
"You are welcome, my dear. You will be sore for awhile, but you will heal." she said and I nodded.
"And don't worry dear, the entire feast saw how he was looking at you." she said and I smirked.
"I am sorry, but Fandral is just a nice person." I said and she shook her head as she chuckled.
"Not him, dear, the prince. We were all commenting that he looked happy to be a part of Asgard again." she said and I looked at her confused.
"I'm sorry, but again?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Loki has tried to leave many times, but his father wants him to stay. He doesn't feel like he belongs here and that's not surprising since he's adopted." she said and I looked at her surprised.
"It's a guarded secret, but also known at the same time. Odin saved Loki when he was little, and everyone accepted the different prince." she said and I nodded.
"I understand that. I am adopted." I said and she smiled at me.
"He will come around." she said and I shook my head. I knew that I had messed up.
"No, he won't. He was a gentleman last night, and when we went to kiss me I told him no... but not because I didn't want him. I just... I have never even been with a guy." I admitted and she looked at me with a small smile.
"Trust me, Parker, he will come around... now go rest. I will check up on you later." she said and I smiled at her. I walked out and found Sif waiting on me.
"I'm sorry I wanted to go riding." she said and I chuckled as we turned towards the palace.
"I am not upset. I will have a good story." I said and gave her a forgiving smile. We walked back to the palace and were greeted by Odin and Frigga.
"Lady Parker, are you alright?" Frigga asked me and I nodded.
"Helga was nice and helped me. I will be in a few days... nothing serious." I said and she nodded.
"We wanted to make sure. Please let me know if you need anything. I want you to come to the feast tonight. We always have feast just for the family, and those we care about... we want you to join us for that." Odin said.
"Thank you, I look forward to it." I said and they smiled at me. Sif and I headed into the palace and I just wanted to lay down.
"You don't have to walk with me." I said to Sif as we walked down there.
"Seriously, go and train or something." I said and she chuckled.
"I will find you for the feast tonight." she said and I chuckled.
"How many feast do we have?" I asked her and she was laughing.
"Tonight is more of a private one... not a bad one." she said and I nodded.
Loki POV
I didn't want to be at the feast tonight. I knew that Parker would be there, but Father was insisting. I couldn't get Parker out of my mind. I couldn't believe that she had told me no last night. I thought that she had... I was the trickster god... people don't get one over on me. I had just pulled on my bottoms when there was a knock at the door.
"What is it?" I called out and the door opened to find Helga standing there. She was the healer in town, and someone I counted on a times. She used to patch me up when Thor would beat me up when we were younger... and she would patch Thor up when I would trick him into something dumb.
"Helga. What do I owe the pleasure?" I asked her and she chuckled as she put a small package down on the table, and walked out. She always was a person of few words. I pulled my vest on and walked over to the package. I pulled string and it opened to reveal a small sliver necklace with my snake symbol on it. I looked at the work on the symbol and ran my thumb over it. I had been given the snake symbol from father as my own for the family. I saw a piece of paper that it had been laying on, and opened it.
Don't give up on what you truly want... and give this to the one you like... it will bond you.
I looked at the necklace again and reread the note. Helga liked to give riddles, but she was never wrong. I had to think that she lied about having powers, especially about telling the future. I had immediately thought of the person I wanted to give it to, but I shook my head. I slipped it into my pocket and finished getting ready. I walked to the hall and turned to corner to stop in my tracks.
I saw Parker in a beautiful green and gold dress. She had her red hair pulled up in a curly bun, and I saw a bandage on her arm. She was talking to Fandral, but I couldn't stop staring. She looked beautiful in my colors. She looked over at me and quickly looked away.
"Ah, my son! We can start the feast. I always enjoy this one the best because it's the ones we hold the closest." Father said as someone handed me a goblet. I gave a small smile and nodded as I walked over to them. I saw sat down across from Parker, and I couldn't help but notice everything. I watched as she talked to everyone, the way she wrinkled her nose when she drank the strong wine, and the way she tried her best not to let Fandral take up all her time.
I was sitting with Odin, Thor, Hogun, Volstagg, and Fandral as we talked about everything. I was sipping on the wine as Sif and Parker talked with mother. I could see them as we all talked.
"She's beautiful." Fandral said and I glanced over at him as they looked where Sif, Parker, and Mother all sat.
"Yes, she is, but you trying to smother her will not help you." Father said to Fandral as we all chuckled at that. We continued to talk after Parker and Sif left with mother. I was actually enjoying myself again, and it was like I had a second chance. I finally excused myself and was walking to my room when I walked past the open balcony. I did double take as I saw Parker sitting on a bench looking up at the sky.
I finally walked out to the balcony and she turned towards me when I cleared my throat. She looked at me and turned back towards the sky.
"It's beautiful." she said and I nodded as I carefully sat down.
"Not as beautiful as you look tonight. My colors look goo on you." I finally said and she looked at me surprised. I saw a faint blush creep up her cheeks and had to chuckle.
"I am sorry if I misread the other night." I said and she shook her head no.
"Loki, you didn't, but I don't have experience in this. I have never kissed anyone, loved anyone, or anything... I know that's probably the stupidest thing ever..." she was saying and I couldn't help it. I leaned over and carefully pressed my lips to hers. I finally pulled away and looked at her. I couldn't believe that no one had ever kissed this beautiful creature.
"It's not stupid." I said and she gave a small smile as the blush stayed on her cheeks.
"I'm sorry I didn't hear you out last night." I said and she nodded.
"I didn't really know what to do." she said and I chuckled.
"You do look beautiful tonight." I said and she smiled.
"Thank you, Helga brought me the dress this afternoon as she checked on me." she said as she held up her bandaged arm. I had to smirk as she said it had been Helga.
"She is a wonderful woman." I said as I took her arm in my hand.
"Are you still in pain?" I asked her as she winced.
"Only a little, and I'm tired from today." she admitted and I nodded.
"Come on, we can look at the starts again tomorrow night." I said and helped her up. She took my arm as I walked her to her door. I got ready to say something when she kissed me.
"No misunderstanding tonight." she said and I smiled at her. I pulled the necklace from my pocket and held it up.
"I was told to give this to someone I care about." I said and put it around her neck. She ran her hand over it and looked up at me.
"Thank you, Loki." she said and kissed my cheek.
"I will see you tomorrow." I said and stepped back as slipped into the room.
