I glanced in the mirror and had to admit the dress was beautiful. Helga had brought it to me, and I hadn't been sure about it at first, but it was beautiful. She had brought me a flowing gold dress with navy accents for the straps and cording around the dress. The dress reminded me of the dress Belle has in Beauty and the Beast, but less layers. I had my hair pulled half up with my curls down my back. I was glad that I could wear boots under the dress because I had come to like them in the almost 3 months I had been here. I felt my nerves spike when there was a knock on the door. I took a calming breath and opened the door. Loki was on the other side wearing his green and gold outfit complete with a small version of his horns.

"You look beautiful." he said as he handed me a beautiful white flower. I smiled and smelled it. He offered me his arm, and I tucked the flower into my hair to keep it with me. He gave a small smile as I shut the door and walked with him.

"Thank you for coming with me tonight." he said and I nodded.

"Thank you for asking me." I said and he stopped. I could tell that he was already frustrated as he turned towards me.

"I don't like this." he finally said and I raised my eyebrows at him. He looked around and pulled me towards a small balcony.

"Loki, you are going to be late to your feast." I said and he stopped me when we were outside.

"I don't care... I... I only care about it because it meant that I had an excuse to talk to you again without you running away." he said and I pursed my lips. I got ready to say something when he cut my off with a kiss. Damn him... he kissed so well. He pulled away and I slowly opened my eyes to look at him.

"2." he said and I had no idea what he was talking about as I looked at him confused.

"I have had two wives. My first one died, and my second one was banished... I have had many lovers in the mean time." he said and I nodded.

"Parker, please give me the chance to try this again." he said and I took a deep breath as I thought about it.

"How about you give me at least tonight and tomorrow... if I haven't shown you the real me then I promise to be nice, but leave you be." he said and I nodded. I could agree to that.

"I agree to that." I finally said and he gave a small smile before offering me his arm again. We walked to the feast and everyone cheered when we walked into the room. I was surprised at the amount of people... all of Asgard had shown up and here I was on his arm, again. I pushed the bad thoughts out and was determined to give Loki a proper 48 hours to either make me believe him or assume he was going to really fuck this up.

The feast went well, and I had fun. We dance, I drank, and the food was delicious. Loki seemed to be having fun, and I was glad that I was able to be around Sif most of the night. I was sitting there while Loki and Thor were talking to someone with Odin when I heard a few of the other women nearby talking about it. I was fine to ignore it until they started to say things like I didn't belong here, I was trying to take all their men, and finally the one that got me was did I really think I could save Loki. I knew that I had to be nice so I got up, and walked outside. I was looking up at the stars when I heard footsteps behind me.

"Don't let them get to you." a voice said and I turned to see Frigga walking out there, and I chuckled.

"I saw them and they are known to be horrible women. Don't listen to them." she said and I nodded.

"He looks happy tonight." she said and I glanced in there at him, and he really did look happy. I nodded and looked back at her.

"He is trying, Parker. He's never come up against anyone like you. He knows he's messed up, and he is trying." she said and I looked at her.

"Why are you telling me this? I can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved." I said and she chuckled.

"You understand him more than you realize if you just said that... Loki is different, but living in his brother's shadow hasn't been easy on him. He's scared, and he knows it." she said and I nodded. I got ready to say something else when Loki and Odin walked out on the balcony.

"Come my dear, it's time for the toast." Odin said to Frigga and Loki held his hand out for me to take. I smiled at him and put my hand in his. He kissed the back of my knuckles and I let him lead me in there. Odin gave a nice toast to Loki and everyone cheered as we drank to him. The wine was getting stronger as the night went on, and we continued to celebrate him. Odin and Frigga had just left, Volstagg was drunk, Hogun had already disappeared, Fandral was talking to different women while stealing glances at me, and Thor was all over Sif.

"Are you alright?" he asked me as we finished dancing and I was leaning on him.

"I'm drunk." I said and he chuckled at me and kissed my temple.

"Come on then." he said and took my hand. He nodded to his brother who gave one more cheer for Loki, and he pulled me from the room.

"Did you have fun?" I asked him as we walked through the quiet halls and he nodded. I wasn't really paying attention as we wandered through the halls and I let him lead me.

"I did, and thank you for coming with me." he said and I smiled at him. We were walking when we stopped in front of a large set of wooden doors, and I realize I had no idea where I was right now. I hadn't been to this part of the palace. He pushed one of the doors open and pulled me with him. I walked in and it was a beautiful bedroom with ornate wooden and gold furniture. I turned to look at him when he was shutting the door and he took off his antler crown.

"Where are we?" I asked him and he smiled at me as he took my hand.

"We are in my chambers. I have never brought anyone in here that wasn't my wife. I wanted you to see the real me starting with where I spend my nights." he said as he pulled me further into the room. He pulled me towards a large set of glass doors and we walked out onto a balcony. I was surprised at how high we were overlooking the city streets below. I didn't realize we had walked up that far.

"Look up." he said as, he waved his hand towards the sky, so I looked up as fireworks began to light up the sky. I gasped as I heard cheering below.

"Wow." I said as he wrapped his arm around me. I leaned into him as he kissed the top of my head.

"Thank you." I said and looked up at him as he smiled at me. He was so damn cute, and the wine was really getting to me.

"Kiss me." I said out of no where, as a flash of surprise went over his face before he pressed his lips to mine. I moaned as he pulled me closer to him, and the fireworks were going off in the background. I pulled away and leaned my head on his chest as he chuckled. I was slightly embarrassed I had just asked him to kiss me.

"Will you go with me tomorrow?" he asked me and I looked up at him.

"Another feast?" I asked him and he laughed at me as I stepped back.

"No, I want to spend the day with you." he said and I nodded.

"I will." I said and he kissed my forehead before picking me up. I gasped and wrapped my arms around him.

"What are you doing?" I asked him as he carried me inside.

"You have had a lot of wine, and need some sleep." he said and I giggled... he wasn't wrong.

"I can walk." I protested while snuggling my face into his chest and he chuckled.

"I know." he said and kissed he forehead. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up with light streaming into the room and my dress still on me. I groaned and stretched as I felt icky in my dress from last night. I stripped and bathed before putting on a dress. I remember Loki asking me to do something last night, but I couldn't remember if he had said what he had planned. I also couldn't believe that I had asked him to kiss me. I had fun with him last night, and now I had to hope that today would be just as fun. I liked being around Loki, but I still wasn't sure if I trusted him.
