I walked out of my room and went to the throne room where they were going to welcome the visitors. I had chosen a teal dress with gold accents. Frigga had suggested that I wear something nice. But what do you wear when Dark Elves are coming to visit? Or any Elf for that matter? I pulled my hair into a curly bun, and made sure that I looked presentable. I walked over to where Sif, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun were standing. I wasn't really sure how this was going to go.

"You look nice." Fandral said and I smiled at him.

"Thank you, I wasn't really sure what to wear." I said and he smiled at me. He got ready to say something when the doors were opened with much noise. We turned to see Odin and Frigga walking in with Loki and Thor behind them. Loki was in his normal green and gold with his cape waving behind him as his antler helmet sat on his head. He didn't even glance at me... I really didn't want to deal with another one of those days. They took their places and a few seconds later the Dark Elves were announced.

"Malekith The Accursed and Algrim the Strong welcome to Asgard." Odin said as they walked in and I felt my eyes get huge. Malekith looked like a large human, but Algrim was closer to what I thought of as a giant. He made Volstagg look small. I glanced at Sif and she looked very stoic so I had a feeling these weren't their favorite visitors. Malekith gave me a bad vibe just looking at him as his gaze swept over the welcoming crowd and court. I felt a shiver go up my spine as he looked towards where we were waiting.

"You have a midgard here." he said to Odin as he walked up to him. I wanted to disappear into the crowd and as I felt Sif and Hogun move closer to me. I wanted to disappear.

"Welcome to my court, and yes, we have an ambassador from Midgard to strengthen our relationship." he said and Malekith looked to where I was standing. He nodded and looked back at Odin.

"Thank you for your hospitality." he said and Odin nodded. They said a few more formalities before he announced the feast, and people started to move towards the large hall. I looked at Sif as she held us back.

"He's going to want to meet you now. We will be nearby." Sif said and I glanced at the other two before nodded. I had felt scared when I was with the frost giants, but this was a whole other level of scared. I didn't not want to be near this... thing. We walked in and a guard came to us.

"You all are requested to sit up there." he said and motioned for us to follow him. We were taken near the main table where the family and elves were sitting. I glanced to see Loki chatting with Malekith before they looked in my direction... it was like he could sense me.

"Lady Parker, come with me." he said as we started to sit down. I looked at them before following the guard to the main table.

"Ah, Lady Parker, join us. They are mist interested in the Midgard ways." Loki said and I nodded. I should have felt safe around Loki, but I didn't this time. I gave a small smile and sat down between Loki and Thor. I was glad to be near Thor, who sensed my nervousness, and he gave me a reassuring smile.

"Do not worry, Lady Parker." he told me as a goblet was sat in front of me. I nodded and took a sip.

"So, you are a human?" Malekith asked me and I nodded.

"And a woman... so you are for reproduction." he said and I about spit out my wine when he said that. He had actually said that? I quickly sat my goblet down and shook my head.

"We aren't just for that." I said and he nodded as he looked at me, but I felt that he was looking deep into my soul.

"What else are you good for?" he asked me and I felt my anger rise.

"We have our own lives where we earn a living, contribute to society, and choose our own forms of happiness." I said and he nodded, but seemed bored of my answer.

"Reproduction makes more sense." he said and I gave a small nod.

"So... you are an outcast since you are not for that?" he asked me and I raised an eyebrow at him as Loki even looked surprised at his question.

"No, we do not have outcast. We believe that everyone can choose their own way to live." I said and he dismissed my answer with a wave.

"Midgard seems easy to take over if that is what you believe." he said and I got ready to retort when Loki cut me off.

"They are mortal. They are here studying us for a reason." Loki said and I pursed my lips. What a douche... maybe I was glad we didn't spend the day together.

"Ah mortals... they have no real use to us." he said and I wanted nothing more than to leave right then, but I didn't want to mess anything up. I sat there and continued to drink the wine as I listened to Loki and Malekith go on about all the mortals in the realms, how useless they were, and Malekith just couldn't believe I wasn't just there for reproduction or for someone's use.

"Thor, I would like to be excused." I finally said and he got ready to say something when Malekith spoke up. He must have heard me as I looked towards him when he started to speak. He had a smirk on his face that I didn't like.

"Midgard..." he was saying to address me and I cut him off.

"My name is Parker." I said and he gave a low chuckle.

"Parker, the midgard, walk with me. I want to learn about your way since I have never spent much time with one of you." he said and I got ready to say something when Odin cut me off.

"Parker, that's a wonderful idea. You will be able to learn about another realm." he said and I glanced at him to see him drinking more wine. Frigga was laughing with someone, so I glanced at Loki. I was hoping that someone would help me out of this, but Loki was looking ahead as if to ignore me. I finally nodded and stood up with Malekith. Thor got ready to say something, but Malekith quickly pulled me with him.

"You are delicate." he said as we walked out onto the balcony. I shivered at the colder air.

"You seem brutish." I replied and he chuckled.

"We do not deal with your kind much. Midgardians are so different. You have different abilities, and hidden talents than most of the realms." he said and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Talents?" I asked him and he chuckled again.

"Yes, you have won these people over as a weakling... especially the dark prince." he said and I had never heard anyone refer to Loki as the dark prince.

"The dark prince? And I haven't won anyone over." I said and he shook his head.

"Midgardians are dense. I am surprised no one has taken your world over yet." he said and I shook my head. I didn't feel as if I was going to learn anything from him except that every realm in the milk way was power hungry.

"The prince is taken by you. You hold something over him, and he wants to use you for your real purpose. You may ignore it, but that is your true power over the realms." he said, in a lower voice, and I stepped away from him. I was done talking to him. I didn't want to hear his shit.

"Malekith, thank you for humoring me." I said and turned to leave, but he grabbed my arm. I felt a shiver wash over me as I turned back to him. I pulled away, but he chuckled as he pulled me back to him. My feelings about him had been right... I wanted far away from him. He had me pressed against his chest as I tried to pull away from him. He chuckled and looked down at me. He leaned closer and I couldn't get away from him with how he had me. I felt his nose run down the shell of my ear.

"Listen closely, mortal, you do not belong here. You will never fit in here, and no matter what he tells you... you aren't not for him. I brought you out here to see what interest him, and while there are many things... you cannot handle any of us." he whispered to me, and I struggled to get away from him again. He chuckled as his hand ran down my side, and a sickening feeling settled in my stomach. I felt him start to bunch my dress in his hand and I panicked. I had to be away from him. I elbowed at him, and he let me go. I quickly took some steps away, but he appeared in front of me out of no where. I gasped and went to step backwards. I tripped over my dress and landed on my butt. I was looking up at him as tears threatened to fall, but I wouldn't cry in front of him.

"You do not walk away from me, mortal." he said and I looked up at him. He hauled me to my feet and looked over me. He had haunting eyes, and his grip was strong as I stared back at him.

"I see why he favors you, but be careful... if you think I'm bad... he's much worse. I can tell these things." he said and I pulled my arm out of his hand and he chuckled.

"Thank you, Midgardian. I have learned much from you." he said and gave a mock bow. I got ready to say something when Sif walked out to where we were. He passed her and she wouldn't even look at him. I had sat down on the bench and put my head in my hands.

"Parker, are you alright?" she asked me and I finally looked at her. The tears had escaped and were streaming down my face.

"I want to go home." I finally said and she hugged me. I just wanted far away from these people.

"Come on, I will sneak you out." she said as I calmed myself down enough to nod. She got me along the wall when Fandral stopped us.

"Are you ok, Lady Parker?" he asked me and I couldn't hide it as I looked at him. He took my hand and pulled me from Sif. She seemed to know that I would be ok as I let him lead me from the room.
