"Alright, Chief," Doc swung the door open. "Come on."

"Where are we going?" Hiccup asked, getting to his feet.

"New digs. Courtesy of Grimmel." She shrugged. "He wants you moved to a cage nearer to the main ships while he's gone." She led him out, monitoring his movement carefully, onto the deck."

"While he's gone?"

"To look for your Berkians."

Hiccup looked up at Berk in the sunset, stiller than it had ever been, and was guided away by his arm.

Moon-guider caught sight of him first and exclaimed, raising her head, muzzled with a more sturdy contraption now. Her soft round ear frills perked up and she threw herself to the edge of the cage to see him.

"Moon!" Hiccup yelled, breaking away from Doc to go to her. He reached through the cage, several nearby guards yelling in protest, and took her face in his hands while she tapped her feet excitedly. "You're not hurt, are you?"

"Hey!" Doc yelled, going to put a meaty hand on his shoulder.

She tossed her head as if shaking water off. "Okay, good, good." He took hold of her muzzle and began to undo it.

"Hey," a guard said, approaching, but looking to Doc instead of Hiccup for an answer. "What are you doing?"

"Saying hello," Doc said gruffly, pulling at him. "Come on now, Chief. Time's up."

"Step away from the dragon, Berkian."

"Yeah okay, okay, one more second." Hiccup's fingers found the spring and he looked into Moon-guider's eyes. "Okay. You're gonna have to be fast about this, okay?" She nodded. "You ready? Now!"

He pulled the muzzle off of her and ducked to the ground.

Moon wasted no time.

Doc mimicked Hiccup just in time as a blast of fire shot over her into the guard. Whirling around, the Light Fury spat two more explosions at nearby guards, providing covering fire for Hiccup while he scrambled around to the door of her cage to unlock it for her. The second it swung open, Moon-guider launched herself towards Hiccup's chest, and with a yell from him that was more from the force than from shock, he was carried up into the air, clinging desperately to Moon's neck as her front feet clutched him around the torso. Once she was high enough up, she tossed him into the air and rolled to catch him on her back.

"Woohoo!" Hiccup cheered, scratching her neck triumphantly. "Attagirl! Okay! We're up!" And then, in more shock, "Okay!" We're up. What now?

What now...?

Grimmel still had Toothless. He was on his way to Berk. And Toothless was alone. Grimmel's whole plan had been based on neither of them being as strong separated than they were together. So. Toothless needed a tail. He needed to be able to fly on his own. And Hiccup had just the thing, lying in storage from when he had re-built it.

The Warlords' guards and army-men were pointing up at him, yelling and screaming. But they were not as fast as Moon-guider was. They had time to go get it.

He wrapped his hands up to Moon's jaw and turned her head. She allowed him to steer her towards his home on Berk, glancing back at him as he said, "We need to get Toothless the auto-flying tail. We need to get it to him. Come on, Moon!"
