A/N: Remus lives AU.

"Daddy, it's snowing!" A boy, about seven called, looking out of the back window of the house.

The boy had blue hair and bright amber eyes, and he giggled as he watched the fluffy flecks fall gently out of the sky. Edward Remus "Teddy" Lupin giggled again as his father Remus came up behind him.

"Yes, it does look like it. Do you want to go out and play?" Remus asked, putting his hand on Teddy's shoulder.

Teddy giggled and ran to the front door.

"Yes!" he cried, jumping up and down. He then started to get his boots on as Remus walked over to him. "Come on, Dad!" Teddy called, running out of the house. Remus laughed and calmly followed him out.

Remus smiled as he watched his son run around the fresh snow that kept coming down from the sky. He stuck his tongue out and giggled. Remus sighed when he remembered how much he missed Tonks, and he would have missed this, too, if Hagrid hadn't saved him that night. Then he would never have fun with his son or watch him grow. Remus ran his hand over his face. However, Teddy's gigging cut him out of his thoughts.

"Do you want to catch snowflakes with me, Dad?"

Remus looked at his son with a bright smile.

"Of course, cub," Remus said, standing up from the porch steps and walking over to his son.

Teddy giggled and stuck out his tongue again. Remus walked over to him and watched him for a while as the snow fell down around him and on the trees that concealed their little house. It was cold enough for the snow to stay on the ground. Remus looked back to his son and laughed. Remus loved his son's giggle. It reminded him so much of—

"Are you thinking about Mummy again?" Teddy asked, looking down at his snowy boots. Remus looked at his son and then ran his hands over his son's hair.

"Yes. She would love this," Remus said, his hands to gesture at the snow-covered trees.

"Really?" Teddy said, jumping up and down.

The snow crunched under his boots. Remus laughed and nodded. Teddy then ran his gloved hand over the snow.

"Dad?" Teddy asked, sitting down in the snow.

"Yes, Ted?" Remus asked.

He was a little worried about his son sitting in the fresh snow. They both would be wet and cold when they got back inside, but at this moment Remus didn't care. He was there for his son and that was all that matters. Remus had to be there because Tonks was not.

"Would Mum be proud of me for being a half-werewolf?" Teddy asked, trying to form a snowball.

Remus didn't say anything as the snow still came down. It was melting on his thin coat. Remus smiled sadly, and he didn't know what to say. He knew his son had a hard time, but he thought it made him special. He was more special than anyone that told him otherwise. Remus took a deep breath. He felt the cold crisp air fill his lungs. He then waited for a few more seconds and spoke.

"Edward," Remus said firmly. "I'm sure she wouldn't be sad about that. I'm not, either. You are a very special boy, and no one can tell you otherwise. I'm proud of you, and I'm sure that your mum would be too. She would hug you and never let go. You know who you are, and that is wonderful. You get that from her," Remus said with a bright smile on his face.

Teddy smiled back and his hair turned sandy brown to match Remus's.

"Thank you, Dad," Teddy said, jumping to his feet. "Let's see if we can make a snowman,"

Remus stood up slowly and smiled.

"Let's see if it will come to life," Remus said, waving his wand around.

Teddy giggled and tried to make a ball with the snow.

Fifteen minutes later, and they had a snowman. Sadly, the snow was not heavy enough to make a full-sized one, but thankfully Remus fixed it with his wand. The snowman it looked like Teddy, and Teddy could not help but be glad about his creation

"Dad, can we have some hot chocolate?" Teddy said, looking at the snowman.

Remus smiled and nodded. "Of course, Teddy, the snow is getting worse. Come on," Remus said taking Teddy's hand.

Teddy waved goodbye to the snowman and walked inside. Remus knew that as long as he was alive, he would be there for his son.
