From a corridor of darkness emerge, Roxas, Xion, Namine, and Kairi. They look around and get a good glimpse of the world. To some, it's a brand new world, to others, it's a place they regret calling home. As they exit the alleyway the still grieving Roxas and Xion glare at the sky. Namine and Kairi look at the two, before looking at the sky as well, Kairi's eyes widen at the sight of the heart-shaped moon.
"Where are we?" asks Kairi.
"When a world loses its heart, it falls to darkness, creating a world you called End of the World. This is the Nobody equivalent." Says Xion, still staring at the bright moon.
"The World That Never Was. . ." Roxas whispers just barely enough for everyone else to hear. Kairi sighs.
"I guess we have to make our way to that castle huh?" she asks as she looks at the castle just below Kingdom Hearts. Roxas and Xion nod.
"That's where the remnants of the organization lie." says Xion. "once they're eradicated and we seal Kingdom Hearts, the worlds will be safe, and we can focus on Sora. . ." Xion says, trying to suppress her emotions so she doesn't choke up.
"Well . . . we have no other options now. Let's go." Says Kairi, as she enters the streets of The World That Never Was. Namine joins her before Roxas and Xion finally stop glaring at the heart-shaped moon and join them as well. After joining them, Roxas and Xion lead the way to the castle, as they're the most familiar with the layout of this world. Surprisingly they don't run into a single Nobody while they traverse the world, but they do run into many weak heartless, which they take care of with ease, but with everyone they slay, they see another heart float to Kingdom hearts.
"Every Heartless we slay is a win for our enemies. . ." Xion says aloud "It's not a coincidence that we haven't ran into any Nobodies, but many weak Heartless. . . They know we're here." The group steps ever so closer to the castle, they're almost there but they have one last major landmark to pass before they arrive at The Castle That Never Was. Right ahead of them lies Memory's Skyscraper. Roxas and Xion enter the block of road in front of the skyscraper, Roxas looks up and notices something, the TV isn't displaying static like it usually does. The skyscraper usually displays static, but when someone is close by, it plays memories. The memories being shown are of Sora in a dark Destiny Islands. A ball of darkness hovers above in the sky as a pool of darkness appears on the ground. . . and then a hand reaches out to him.
Walls of darkness burst from the earth blocking each exit from the general area in front of the skyscraper. Roxas and Xion look behind them to find Namine and Kairi on the other side of the wall.
"What's going on!?" Asks Kairi, as she looks around. Roxas turns back to the skyscraper and looks at its peak.
"Take a wild guess," Roxas says coldly. Xion looks to the top of the skyscraper and sees their adversary.
"Riku. . ." Xion whispers. Kairi's eyes widen as she looks to the peak of the building, atop it stands the silver-haired boy wearing his black coat and blindfold. Riku jumped from atop the building, he reached the ground and got back onto his feet with no effort.
"So you've made it." Riku states. "I'll admit, made it a lot farther than I thought you would."
"What do you want Riku?" Roxas asks, clenching his fists. Riku sighs.
"I want to see if you really have what it takes to save him. So, show me your strength!" yells Riku, as he materializes his keyblade Way to the Dawn. Xion summons Fallen Kingdom as Roxas enters Valor Form, and the three prepare for battle. Riku dashes as he casts Dark Firaga, Roxas weaves around the dark fire and leaps over Riku to attack from behind, Riku stabs Way to the Dawn into the earth and causes an explosion of darkness knocking Roxas back, but Xion manages to reflect the attack in time. She rushes Riku and strikes him with Fallen Kingdom knocking him back a bit before attempting to strike again, Riku blocks the attack and pushes against Xion as she pushes her blade against his. Roxas takes advantage of Riku's vulnerable state and strikes him from behind, launching him into the air before quickly being struck down by a thunder spell.
Riku recovers quickly from this attack and leaps high into the air before throwing his keyblade to the grown and causing a massive dark shockwave, sending the two flying. Riku's keyblade disappears from the ground before rematerializing in his hand. Before he dives to the floor and dashes around the arena, leaving trails of darkness behind him as he does so. Roxas and Xion manage to dodge these series of attacks before Riku jumps onto the platform in front of the skyscraper, He aims his keyblade at Roxas and fires a beam of dark fire. Xion pulls him back with a magnet spell before jumping in the way and responding with a powerful beam of ice. The two beams are evenly matched for a moment when suddenly the blizzard spell erupts with power and dispels the dark fire before striking Riku, knocking him back. Riku jumps to the top of the skyscraper and Roxas chases after him Riku runs down the skyscraper as Roxas runs up it, the two meet in the middle, and Riku swings at Roxas, but Roxas dodges the attack and strikes Riku with his keyblades before sending him to the ground, Riku nearly reaches the ground when he's met by Xion, who strikes him back to the air and hits him with one last blizzard spell
Riku lands on the earth and falls to one knee. As Roxas and Xion reach the ground, Roxas prepares to attack, but something stops him. Roxas falls to one knee, as does Xion. They clutch their chests where their hearts would be and feel intense pain, suddenly, darkness emerges from their bodies and flies out of them. Riku looks up and shakily gets on his own two feet as the darkness flies to the center of the arena. Roxas and Xion look at the darkness from within them. It merely floats there for a moment, before it starts to take shape, a shape resembling a person. Suddenly a blast of darkness sends Riku farther back, nearly into the building behind him. The keyblade wielders look as the new figure emerges, Roxas and Xion's eyes open wide. Before them stands their worst nightmare, in the flesh. The nightmare looks at Riku before turning to look at Roxas and Xion behind it.
The nightmare materializes a Kingdom Key and dashes at them. Riku gets on his feet and quickly blocks the attack, barely holding the dark beast back. Xion raises her Fallen Kingdom and casts a powerful blizzard spell, the nightmare is knocked back a bit before throwing its keyblade at Xion. She blocks the attack but just as quickly as it threw the keyblade, it rematerialized and dashed at and struck her, knocking Xion into the skyscraper's walls. Roxas swings Oathkeeper and Oblivion. The nightmare blocks the flurry of attacks, before suddenly being attacks from behind by Riku. Riku stabs the nightmare before using his keyblade to throw it across the arena.
"Switching sides?" Roxas asks in a cocky tone.
"Shut up, this wasn't supposed to happen," Riku says as he reaches his hand out to the wall of darkness, and causing it to disappear. The nightmare gets up and quickly tuns to see Kairi in the middle of an overhead slash. It blocks the attack but is knocked back by Namine who strikes it while it's vulnerable. The nightmare looks around it as the five keyblade wielders surround it. The group dash at it in unison before suddenly being blown back in a spherical shockwave of red energy, they look on in horror as the nightmare dawns red, black, and white armor, as well as wielding Oathkeeper and Oblivion.
The nightmare swings the two keyblades around wildly without slowing down. Roxas and Namine dodge the attacks to be best of their abilities while Riku, Kairi, and Xion prepare a powerful spell from a distance. Riku casts Dark Firaga as Kairi's keyblade shoots many homing light projectiles, and Xion casts a powerful blizzard spell. The three spells swirl and combine with each other as they hit the nightmare in the back, launching it into a nearby building. The Nightmare stands up and staggers before quickly engulfing itself in blue energy. As the energy disperses the Nightmare dawns a Black, Blue, and White armor, as well as wielding a single black and red keyblade, with eyes that resemble the one in Way to the Dawn embedded in the handle and the tip. The Nightmare pushes away the heroes with a powerful gust of wind, before raising the keyblade to the sky. Thunder reigns from the sky forcing the five to dodge around the battlefield without stopping. Roxas fakes a dash in one direction, before quickly dashing at the nightmare unexpectedly. The nightmare prepares to reflect that attack when instead Namine Jumps into the air and lands on Roxas's keyblades.
Namine is pushed into the air before diving down at the nightmare as its barrier disappears, leaving it vulnerable to Roxas's two keyblades. Roxas slices through the nightmare before knocking it to the center of the arena. The three watch wearily as the nightmare floats into the air and is enveloped in red and blue energy, before suddenly being engulfed in a yellow energy. A massive blast of energy pushes them all back as the nightmare wields missing ache and pain of solitude, and dawning yellow and black armor. The nightmare dashes around the arena, casting powerful magic with one keyblade while blocking attacks and slashing with the other. Xion jumps back far away from the nightmare before looking at Roxas.
"Roxas! Catch!" Yells Xion as she throws her Fallen Kingdom keyblade to Roxas. Roxas reverts out of Valor form before catching Fallen Kingdom. Xion Engulfs herself in a glowing yellow energy before entering Master Form, wielding her own Missing ache and pain of solitude, Roxas smirks before holding on tightly to Fallen Kingdom and enveloping himself in the familiar dark red energy, entering Limit Form. Xion dashes at the nightmare and their two keyblades meet, before being slashed from behind as Roxas pierces the nightmare's body over and over again as he dashes across the arena. Xion pierces the nightmare's body as Roxas turns to throw Fallen Kingdom at it, piercing it a second time. They pull out their keyblades and jump back as the nightmare writhes in pain. Before finally engulfing itself in its own dark red energy, and dawning black, red, and yellow armor, as well as a black and brown keyblade that it holds in a reverse grip.
The nightmare throws its keyblade and rematerializes it only to throw it again over and over, forcing Roxas and Xion away from their foe. Riku casts a Dark Firaga before charging at the nightmare. The nightmare turns to Riku and slashes many times, forcing Riku to break is dash and jump back, the nightmare blocks his dark fire and retaliates with its own, the dark fire homes in on Riku, who manages to block the attack, but is sent back, the nightmare dashes to pierce Riku with its keyblade when Namine jumps in the way and slash at the nightmare, the two enter a blade-lock, and Namine can barely stand her ground as the powerful nightmare begins to overpower her, but suddenly the force stops as Kairi stabs the nightmare from behind, the nightmare can't even respond before Namine and Riku strike through it. Roxas and Xion prepare to jump in and finish it off when the nightmare suddenly pushes them back with a strong force.
The nightmare slowly floats into the air as it engulfs itself in a white energy the white energy disappears in a powerful explosive shockwave and the five keyblade wielders shield their eyes from the intense light, before looking upon the nightmare's new form. The nightmare dawns white armor with a strange thorn-like pattern. It reaches its two hands out and summons four keyblades, Oathkeeper, Oblivion, Missing Ache, and Pain of Solitude before lowering itself just barely above the ground.
"What is-" but before Roxas can even question what form the nightmare took, the nightmare suddenly dashes in front of him with incredible speed and sends him flying with incredible force. Xion swings her two keyblades at the nightmare but her two keyblades are no match for its four, and it pushes away her keyblades with ease, before knocking her back with the intense force and ferocity of four keyblades. Riku and Kairi attack from behind with powerful light and darkness, knocking the nightmare back a bit before attempting to strike it with Way to the Dawn and Destiny's Embrace, but the nightmare quickly turns and aims its four keyblades at them, before shooting a large beam of magic unlike which they've never seen before. Knocking them into a building, barely able to stand. The nightmare falls to one knee for a moment, and Namine takes advantage of the vulnerable nightmare's state and attacks. The nightmare quickly looks at Namine and swiftly strikes her in the stomach, knocking her keyblade out of her hand and knocking her back onto the ground. She tries to get up but it raises its keyblades into the sky and shocks her with powerful thunder, once the thunder disappears Namine falls to the ground and blacks out. Roxas and Xion look on as the nightmare approaches Namine slowly. The nightmare quickly raises its keyblades into the sky and prepares to strike her down.
"NO!" shout Roxas and Xion, their gemstones glow brightly as they appear in front of Namine in a flash of bright light, and block the attack together, before launching the nightmare back. Kairi and Riku look at the two in astonishment, as their jackets have changed to white coats with a black thorn pattern, showing that they've achieved their Final Forms. Roxas, wielding Oathkeeper and Oblivion, and Xion, wielding Missing ache and Pain of solitude, charge at the nightmare, who charges at them in response, they meet in the middle and strike each other keyblades, Xion casts a magnet spell behind the nightmare without even moving a finger, pulling the nightmare away and leaving it in a vulnerable state as its unable to move. Finally, they dash at it in an X-shaped formation, slashing through it with their keyblades, and finishing it off in one last strike. The nightmare falls to the ground and collapses face first, before the pattern on its armor changes to that of its normal appearance.
Roxas and Xion take a deep breath before falling to one knee as they revert out of Final Form, Xion's third ring suddenly containing a white gemstone, and the hole in the center of Roxas's necklace containing one as well. They take a second to catch their breath before standing back up and running to Namine, who begins to wake up. Namine struggles to get on her feet but Roxas and Xion help her back up.
"Are you okay?" asks Xion, to which Namine slowly nods her head. Kairi and Riku approach the group as well, but they don't get a chance to talk as they notice movement behind them. The group looks at the nightmare as it begins to slowly stand back on its feet.
"What's wrong? Looking for more?" Kairi asks with frustration, as Xion, Kairi, and Riku summon their keyblades, and after a few seconds, Namine manages to summon hers as well. But the nightmare doesn't move. Only speaking in a voice of a thousand whispers.
"Defeat. . ." the nightmare whispers. "Defeat . . . Ansem . . . Xeha. . . nort. . ." the nightmare struggles. The four cautiously lower their keyblades as the nightmare slowly raises its hands, as if it's offering them something. Suddenly, hovering vertically above its hand appears Oathkeeper and Oblivion. They hover in front of the nightmare for a second, before the nightmare quickly brings his hands together, merging the two keyblades in a flash of light, resulting in a new black and white keyblade, with a nobody symbol on the handle, and Roxas's necklace as the keychain.
"Two. . . Become. . . One. . ." whispers the nightmare as it lightly pushes the keyblade as it floats to Roxas's hand. Roxas cautiously grabs his new keyblade, known as Two Become One. and gets a good look at it before looking at the nightmare.
The nightmare summons its own Missing Ache and Pain of Solitude, before lightly pushing them towards the group, they stop in between the nightmare and themselves, and Xion feels a slight tug from her kingdom key. She willingly lets go of the keyblade as it floats in between the other two.
"Reject. . . fate. . . become . . . own. . . self. . ." whispers the nightmare, as it merges the three keyblades into a new, completely repaired keyblade, known as Rejection of Fate. its black and white scheme being similar to that of Two Become One. the new keyblade floats its way over to its wielder, Xion, who takes it.
"Keep promise. . . return them . . . to me. . ." whispers the nightmare one last time, before slowly fading away and disappearing entirely.
"What was that thing?" asks Namine, exhausted from the battle they had just endured.
"It's like a creature born from the darkness in one's heart. . ." Roxas says quietly.
"But we don't. . ." Xion's voice trails off, there's "no point in restating a fact everyone knows," Xion thinks to herself.
"Well, it looks like it's not going to bother us anymore, at least for a while." Says Kairi, somewhat optimistically.
"So, are we ready to keep going? Asks Roxas, glaring at Riku for a moment."
"I'm fine. You've shown me that you have more than enough strength to finish what you started." Roxas scoffs at Riku as he speaks.
"Hmph, whatever. We came to defeat Xemnas, not to get your approval." Roxas begins walking ahead toward one of the exits. "Let's go, the castle is up ahead," says Roxas in a serious tone.
"Fine by me," Riku responds in his own serious tone. He'd spoken like that for so long it's basically become second nature to him. Xion sighs as Riku follows Roxas
"Boys. . . am I right?" says Xion sarcastically as she looks at the two girls who look very similar to her. Kairi, Xion, and Namine laugh for a second before running to catch up with Riku and Roxas. The five approach the castle that floats above the massive chasm.
"A dead end?" asks Kairi, both annoyed and gloomy.
"Not quite!" says a high-pitched voice from behind. The five keyblade wielders turn around to see a sixth keyblade wielder, he's small, he's nimble, and he's got massive ears.
"Your majesty!" The five say in unison as their faces light up.
"You know how to get us up there?" asks Namine cheerfully.
"Mm-hmm! But if we want to do it, we'll all need to work together!" says Mickey. The mouse runs to the front of the group before materializing his keyblade. "All at once! Okay?" says the mouse. The group nods and they materialize their keyblades and point them at the castle, it takes Namine an extra second to do so, but she manages to materialize her keyblade and take aim at the entrance to the castle near the bottom. "All right team! Now!" says Mickey as beams of light come forth from their keyblades, as the light shoots out a bridge of light materializes, creating a path from the city below the castle above.
"Woah. . ." Kairi says in awe. The six keyblade wielders begin making their way to The Castle That Never Was.
"So. . . you're highness, how long have you been watching us exactly?" asks Riku with slight embarrassment.
"OH, a long long time." says the mouse.
"How come you didn't help us back there against that. . . thing," asks Kairi, referring to the nightmare born from the darkness residing within Roxas and Xion.
"Oh, don't worry. I would have if I needed to. In fact, I've done so two times before." the mouse states.
"Really?" Xion asks
"Yep! Not that anyone would remember that, after all, if you were conscious to see me you would have been conscious enough to fight." Says King Mickey as they get ever so closer to the castle. They reach the end of the bridge and walk into the enemy stronghold.
"All right everyone! We're on their turf now, Be ready for anything." Says The kings before running ahead of the group. The group runs after him but they're cut off by some Nobodies known as sorcerers. The five keyblade wielders are in greater number, and take out their foes with ease, before seeing the Mickey is out of sight. They enter a room with what looks like a bridge that leads to nowhere.
"Be ready for a fight!" Xion warns as they step on the platform. Walls of light are erected around the edges of the platform before it begins to rise upwards as a large group of dragoons appears to defend their master's castle. The five keyblade wielders slice and stab through their foes with some effort, and as the walls of light disappear, the lift stops, and they find themselves a new exit.
"Come on, let's go." Says Roxas as he begins to make his way to the exit, and they find themselves in a large room with a spiral staircase in the middle, known as Twilight's View.
"This place brings back memories. . ." Says Xion, thinking back on the diary entry that started it all "They weren't good memories but. . . they were memories." she says as she walks her special one's side.
"Those days are long gone now," Roxas says with a smile. Grabbing Xion's hands to comfort her, the two walk up the final set of stairs towards the hall of empty melodies. The rest of the group follows. They make their way to the large arena-like platform in the center of the hall, before hearing an all-too-familiar voice.
"You've done well. . ." says the voice of Siax. The five look up at the man standing on the raised platform above.
"What do you want Siax!?" says Xion, anger rising within her.
"Nothing anymore. . ." says Siax in his usual hollow tone. "We have no use for you anymore, look there." Siax raises his left and points in the direction of Kingdom Hearts, which can be seen through the massive glass dome above. "Our Kingdom Hearts. . . Thanks to you and your allies, we've collected countless hearts. . . Can you hear their euphoria?" Xemnas taunts. "Now, all they need is one more helping from those chose by the keyblades!" Siax snaps his fingers and pools of darkness appear on the walls as Shadows begging to appear. Their bright yellow eyes piercing the soul as more Shadows and Guard Armor Heartless appear. The heroes are surrounded at all sides. The group back up and fo and forms a small circle as their enemies grow closer.
"We have to fight!" says Kairi.
"But, what about Kingdom Hearts?" asks Namine.
"We can deal with it later, for now, we have to make sure we're alive to seal it," Riku interjects. Saix looks on at the heroes and almost smirks for a second before noticing someone, on the platform on the other end of the room. On that platform stands Pete and Maleficent.
"You two . . ." Siax sighs "Will the intrusions never end?" He disappears into a corridor of darkness, and maleficent smiles.
"Why Pete, this castle is perfect. Perhaps we should. . . acquire it." says the mistress of all evil to her lackey.
"Well, the setup is kinda nice, but . . . what about all the Heartless? This in-between world- it's very close to the darkness! They're not gonna listen to us here!" Pete exclaims. Maleficent merely smiles devilishly.
"Once again, you underestimate me." responds maleficent. While all this is going on, Mickey is making his way closer and closer to the top of the tower, slaying Nobodies like it's nothing when he sees a large group of dusks attacking a bandaged man in red. Mickey swoops in and takes them out with ease, before helping the man up to his feet. The man in red, Diz, removes the black bandages covering his face, showing the King his true identity.
"It's been too long, my friend," says Diz, his long white-blonde hair tucked into his robes
"Ansem the Wise." Mickey looks upon his old friend, in anger. "Why didn't you come to me before things got so bad?" asked the King.
"Xemnas, the Organization's Superior, is the Nobody of Xehanort, my foremost apprentice. The burden was mine to bear." Ansem responds.
"If it was yours to bear, why get Namine and Riku involved? Why would you nearly get Xion and Roxas killed!?" Mickey says as he begins to shout. Ansem looks away and approaches the edge of the platform.
"I won't deny that. I involved those who had their own problems, and tricked them into going along with my plan. . ." says the king of Hollow Bastion. "I was . . . obsessed with thoughts of revenge," Ansem admits. "Xehanort stole everything precious to me- my apprentices, my research. my kingdom, and my pride."
"I can't help you with revenge. . ." says the mouse
"I know you can't, Riku told me a thousand times. . ." Ansem almost laughs. "Riku. . . Namine. . . Xion. . . Roxas. . . They were all victims of my revenge. I can only laugh to hide my shame." The king looks on at Kingdom Hearts before looking back to his friend. "My friend, the time has come. I must make amends with the keyblade bearers." Ansem turns to grab a machine he had beside him on the floor. He picks up the heavy machinery and begins to walk down a hallway, Mickey follows.
"GET OFF ME!" Yells Roxas as he grabs a shadow on top of him and throws him across the arena. The five keyblade bearers try their best to ward off the Heartless without killing them, using wind magic to blow them off the platform, magnet spells to pull them away, stop to freeze them in place, they could not allow Kingdom Hearts to be completed, but they also can't allow anyone here to fall. They're so preoccupied with the heartless, they don't even notice Xigbar on the raised platform taking aim at Roxas. Xigbar pulls the trigger, and a red dart-like laser comes forth from his gun, Xion finally notices the foe.
"Roxas watch out!" she grabs her special one's hand and pulls him close, just narrowly avoiding the bullet. The five look up to see the one-eyed sniper of the organization. He pulls out his second gun and shoots a barrage of bullets at the five, They gather together tightly and perform the strongest reflect spells they can. The bullets bounce off their shields and pierce the nearby heartless, killing them all in one fell swoop.
"Poppet! Tiger! Have you two been good a girl and boy?" Xigbar taunts.
"Come down here so I can scar your other eye Xigbar!" shouts Roxas the five face one of the four remaining members of Organization Thirteen.
"Oh, it sounds like you haven't." Xigbar remarks. "It's a shame Flamesilocks couldn't make it, I was looking forward to getting one good shot right between his eyes," Xigbar says tauntingly.
"Why you little-" Roxas and Xion tighten their grip on their keyblades and stare Xigbar down.
"You know, none of this wouldn't have happened if you just stayed where you belonged, but now you've put us in a pickle. I guess that must be why the Keyblade chose you. But MAN did it pick some serious duds this time." Xigbar taunts "You don't look like you're half the hero Terra was, and he fell to the darkness!" Xigbar continues to taunt.
"Are you done rambling?" Riku taunts back
"Rambling? As if! All I'm trying to tell these traitors is that their time is up!" Xigbar exclaims as he rematerializes his guns. He leaps off the platform above and lands on the ground in front of the five. "You really shouldn't have betrayed us. . ." Roxas immediately charges their foe and stabs at him with his keyblade. Xigbar leaps back before he seemingly teleports to a small little platform below the main risen platform above. "Got you now. . ." Xigbar says as he looks down the scope of his gun. The five keyblade wielders dash around the arena as Xigbar shoots from afar, Xigbar locks his sight on Xion, before taking the shot. Xion puts up her keyblade and parries the laser, sending it right back at Xigbar's gun. Xigbar shoots two more times, but Xion manages to reflect both of the bullets and jam Xigbar's gun. "Heh, clever little sneak. . ."
Xigbar teleports to the arena seemingly floats upside down in the air, he immerses his hands in small corridors of darkness, before his hands appear nearby Roxas and Prepare to shoot him in the head. Roxas manages to dash away in time, but he's shot twice in the back.
"Augh!" Roxas cries as he nearly falls to the ground, he manages to stop himself and get back on his feet. Namine leaps into the air and slashes at Xigbar a few times, knocking him back some distance before he teleports away and begins to repeat this pattern of attacking. Kairi charges at him, expect him to be vulnerable after this next attack, Xigbar expects this and takes a few shots at the princess of heart, Kairi blocks the attacks with her Keyblade as Riku approaches from behind, leaping over his friend and slashing at Xigbar with incredible power. He attempts to regain his ground but Xion comes from behind and attacks him, distracting him from Kairi and Riku, who cast powerful spells of Darkness and Light. Xigbar is knocked a fair distance away by this powerful attack, before teleporting to the other side of arena.
Xigbar puts his two guns together and takes aim, white and blue energy swirl around the gun before shooting one massive blue laser. The laser bounces around the arena with incredible speed. Roxas suddenly has an idea, he runs directly at the laser and hits it with his keyblade, sending it straight back to Xigbar, Xigbar is stunned by the laser as it bounces off of him, Xion hits it back to Xigbar, and then so does Riku, and Kairi, and Namine. The five bounce the bullet back at their foe before the laser disappears. Xigbar groans before teleporting to the center of the arena.
"Look what I saved for ya!" Xigbar shouts as he glows brightly with a blue light. He spins around and shoots many small blue lasers. He quickly teleports around the arena and shoots a few lasers at the keyblade bearers, who dash and dodge roll around the arena to avoid the powerful lasers. Finally, he teleports to the center of the arena and immerses his hands into small corridors of darkness. Small ports of darkness appear around the arena and shoot from all angles. The five keyblade bearers dodge and reflect when they can, barely surviving the attack. The energy around Xigbar dissipates as he teleports to take more shots at the heroes, What he doesn't expect is the glass from above shattering as thunder reigns up him, Xion finally lowers her keyblade as the lightning stops, and Xigbar falls to the floor.
Xigbar raises his gun and aims it at Xion before falling on his knee and lowering his gun before dropping it. Black dust rises from his body.
"How do you know about Terra?" ask Roxas, holding his keyblade firmly, Xigbar only laughs.
"Wouldn't you like to know. . ." Xigbar smarks and closes his eyes as he willingly allows himself to disappear once more, this time for good. The heroes take a moment to breathe before Xion turns to Roxas and asks the golden question.
"Who's Terra?" asks Xion. Roxas takes a deep breath.
"I don't really know, It's someone Hercules used to know," Roxas explains. "Apparently Terra and his two friends were keyblade wielders that disappeared about ten years ago." Riku seems to recognize who Roxas is talking about, but puts that thought out of his mind, they have more important things to do.
"We should get going, we still have three more people in our way." Says Namine. The group nods and makes their way out of the hall of empty melodies, ready to finish what they started.
