"Okay, Namine! Focus on guarding." Says Roxas. Namine stands and stares at Riku ahead of her. He holds his keyblade in his usual battle stance. Today the group was focusing on training, specifically for Namine. She tries her best, and the group appreciates her efforts, but she has some problems, and this is no more evident when Riku suddenly dashes at her and slashes at her with Way to the Dawn. she raises her hand and attempts to materialize her keyblade but it fails to appear and Namine is knocked away as Riku lands a decent hit against her. Namine's keyblade then appears in her hand moments later.

"Wow, thanks. . ." Says Namine to her keyblade, as if it's a sentient entity before the blade disappears. Riku walks up to Namine and reaches his hand out.

"You okay?" asks Riku. Namine looks into his eyes before nodding and taking his hands He pulls her to her feet and the two return to their previous positions. Riku dashes to the left and then slashes at Namine, who again fails to block the attack. This happens again and again until Namine is sent flying back as she slides across the sand she looks as her keyblade appears in her hand, her brow lowers as she lets out an adorable little roar of frustration, throwing her keyblade before slamming her hands against the sand and resting her head against the soft grains that make up the beach. Riku takes a step closer to her and prepares to do the whole song and dance again when Kairi gets up and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Maybe it's about time everyone took a break." Riku looks around at the others on the beach before nodding and walking away to his usual spot near the curved palm tree. Roxas and Xion see Riku leaving and decide to take this opportunity to scooch closer to one another and stare up into the sky and watch the clouds together. Namine sighs and closes her eyes as she basks in her sun, dwelling on her inability to use her keyblade like everyone else.

"Why am I so useless. . . ?" Namine says to herself dejectedly.

"Hey, don't say that." Namine opens her eyes and lifts her head to see the princess of heart standing in front of her.

"Oh, hey Kairi. . ." Namine puts her head back against the sand as she closes her eyes so she doesn't have to gaze upon her somebody. Kairi walks by her side and sits down beside her.

"Wanna talk? You look frustrated," says Kairi. Namine nods.

"That's because I am frustrated Kairi. . ."

"Is it because of your keyblade?" Kairi asks. Namine nods.

"I just don't get why I can't just instantly materialize it like you all do. Even when I focus it takes a second. I don't understand how you do it." says Namine. She looks over to her somebody with envy in her eyes.

Kairi sighs a little as she thinks back on when she first got her keyblade. "I'll be honest. I don't know how I do it." Kairi admits. "When I first got my keyblade, everything just came naturally to me. Maybe it's because of how long my heart was inside Sora's body for so long, or because of my powers as a princess of heart." Kairi thinks out loud. Namine sighs

"If only I had a heart like yours. . . I might be able to actually help instead of being dead weight." Namine mocks herself

"Don't say that." Kairi says to her nobody, "You helped us a lot back at the castle, you even saw through Luxord's tricks." Namine manages to crack a smile. "So don't go mocking yourself like your useless. You're important, and you're strong."

"I don't feel strong. . ." says Namine, returning to her dejected demeanor. Kairi sighs.

"Maybe you should try asking the others for advice. Maybe then you'll find your answer," says Kairi sincerely. Kairi stands up and leaves Namine to her own devices as she goes to the small little secret spot she, Sora, and Riku would spend their time in before all of this happened. Namine looks at the three other keyblade wielders on the island. She gets up and approaches her two companions which she traveled with for her first journey.

"What's up?" asks Roxas as the two noticed her approach. Namine sits beside the two. sighs

"I'm just trying to think of why my keyblade doesn't work like yours," Namine admits as she pokes and draws in the sand. "Do either of you know why I'm. . . different?" asks Namine. The two look at the saddened girl that sits beside them.

"Well . . . for a period of time I lost my the ability to even use my keyblade," says Xion. Namine looks at her with curiosity. "I was so scared that I would be turned into a Dusk if anyone found it. . . But I had people who helped me get it back, people who did everything they could to help me. . ." Xion looks at her beloved and smiles, and he smiles back, before the two turn back to Namine. "And if you need people to do that for you, then we'll be those people." Namine smiles at her two friends.

"Thank you . . .both of you. . ." Namine wipes away a single tear before looking back at them, for she still needed answers. "How did you get your keyblade?" asks Namine.

"Well. . ." Xion looks back at Roxas. "Someone gave up theirs, and when I needed it most, it came back." Namine smiles at the two.

"And what did Roxas do?" asks Namine

"I did what I do best, Improvise," says Roxas as he looks over to a nearby stick. The three get a good laugh in before Namine gets up from the sand and walks away, leaving the two lovebirds to enjoy a moment together. Namine makes her way to the nearby bridge and walks over to the raised island where Riku rests. She takes a deep breath and combs through her hair with one hand, before walking by Riku's side.

"You okay? You seemed pretty frustrated earlier," says Riku.

"I'm fine now," Namine responds as she sits on the palm tree next to Riku.

"You wanna go back to sparring?" asks Riku.

"Not yet, there's something I wanted to ask you."

"Ask away," says Riku.

Namine takes a deep breath before asking. "What's your strength? What gives you the power to keep fighting? Even when you think you can't." Riku thinks deeply for a moment, before answering.

"I still have to pay back Sora for everything he's done for me, and for Kairi," Riku explains. "That goal is what keeps me going, so even when things get tough, when things spiral out of control, I keep going. I focus my emotions, and turn them into determination." Namine nods. "I hope that helps." Says Riku as Namine leaps of the tree and prepares to make her way back to the beach below.

"It did, thank you," she says. Namine walks across the bridge when someone opens the door to the hut, Master Aqua exits the small hut in which she had slept and sees Namine.

"Hello Namine, What have you been up to?"

"Oh, nothing really. I've just been trying to deal with a problem I'm having. . . regarding my keyblade." says Namine.

"Is something wrong with it?" asks Aqua. Namine nods and explains her frustration with how her keyblade just doesn't want to materialize when she needs it on a dime. Aqua listens closely to Namine's frustrations.

"You know, that's funny, Terra and I both had the same problem when we first got our keyblades," Aqua explains. "Master Eraqus spent a lot of time with us and over time, using a keyblade became more natural, and as that happened, our keyblades became more powerful and appeared to us when we needed them much faster," Aqua explains. "So don't get frustrated over your lack of ability now. If you keep going, eventually you'll find your motivation to become stronger," says Aqua.

". . . What was your motivation?" asks Namine. Aqua takes a sharp breath and looks to the sky.

"My motivation was my dream, the dream me and Terra shared together. . . to become keyblade Masters." says Master Aqua "Then it was to look after each other, and then to do everything in my power to make sure he's safe," says Aqua reminiscing on the man she spent her entire life with. "I just hope I succeeded." Namine looks at the master as she looks back on her life.

"Don't worry Aqua, I'm sure the two of you will meet again. I know you will." Aqua smiles at Namine's reassuring words. Before Namine speaks again, scratching her neck. "I know I have Roxas and Xion, as well as Riku and Kairi to help me," says Namine. "But I was wondering if you could . . . guide me to becoming a better Keyblade wielder." Namine requests. Aqua is taken aback by this. She becoming a teacher, having her own pupils like Eraqus before her. She hadn't thought of that before, but she looked at the Blonde before her and smiled. She couldn't say no.

"I may not have my keyblade anymore, but I would gladly help the new generation of keyblade wielders," says Aqua. Namine smiles as Aqua guides her to the beach, and motions for the others to gather. She has a lot to look forward to now that she has reunited with the light.
