The wandering consciousness sits by itself alone in the endless darkness. It slumbered for so long, but suddenly it hears something once again. From the abyss, it hears a call.

". . . We promised we would. . . That we'd all. . ." a sad voice echoes as it sobs

"We. . . we were supposed to go to the beach . . ." says another sad voice

"Axel. . ." the voices echo.

Leon walks through the corridors of Hollow Bastion as he gets closer to Ansem's study, Aerith follows closely behind.

"We need to leave soon if we want to be there when they become masters," says Aerith as the two passed the wrecked office, entering the hallway.

"Don't worry. This will only be a mome-" says Leon, before the two stop in their tracks. From behind the corner of the wall, they see a hand on the ground, with a black glove and sleeve. "What the-" the two rush over to get a better look at the computer room, only to find seven bodies laying on the floor. They stare at the still bodies when they notice something. They're waking up. One of the mysterious figures, the one with red spiky hair lifts his head from off the ground, as he looks at his hand.

"Where- . . . What happened to me?" he asks as he stares at his hand. He pushes himself off the ground and onto his feet. He nearly falls over as he takes his first steps, putting his hand against and leaning on the glass. "Roxas. . . Xion. . ." the man utters. He looks at his reflection and seems almost shocked. He touches a spot on his face below his eyes, where he expects something to be there, but there's nothing, just regular skin. He turns to look around and for a moment, stares at the two in the doorway. Before looking at the rest of the room, at the rest of the people waking up on the floor.

"Xehanort, Dilan, Aeleus, Even, Ienzo. . ." Aeleus wakes tries to get up but falls to one knee as he struggles to do so, while Ienzo lifts his head to look around. Axel hears a groaning from the man who lays near the entryway. "Isa. . ." the man says as he begins walking towards his friend on the floor. He nearly falls over as he approaches him, but he manages to crouch to one knee and help his friend up. "Isa! Are you alright?" he asks

"Yes. . . I'm fine. . . Lea. . ." says Isa. Lea helps Isa onto his feet,

"Are you guys-?" asks Leon, but is cut off by Isa

"Ansem's apprentices? Yes," he answers. The two turn to see Dilan awakening and Aeleus helping Ienzo to his feet.

"Everyone who was recruited here into organization thirteen is back," says Lea in awe

"Except for Braig . . ." says Isa, looking at everyone in the room, he does a double-take, however, when he notices something about Xehanort in the corner. "That's not Xehanort!" Everyone that's awake looks at the corner where who they thought was Xehanort lies. His normally long silver hair is shorter and brown. Underneath his lab coat, which he wars underneath his organization coat, he wears a tight black shirt, with red straps forming an X over it, as well as large brown pants, and, though barely visible, a strange arm-gauntlet of sorts over his left arm. They look at the man on the floor for a moment, before he awakens, groaning as he puts his hand to his head.

"Where am I. . . ?" asks the man as he looks around. "Who are you guys. . . Where's Aqua? And Ven . . . ?" There's some shock from Aerith and Leon, as well as Ienzo, Isa, and Lea as they hear those names.

"You know Master Aqua?" asks Aerith

"Know her? Yeah, I know her. We were trained together, practically raised together." he says. Isa has a realization as he remembers something from long ago.

"You must be Ventus's friend, Terra," says Isa, remembering his encounter with the boy all those years ago.

"Yeah. . ." he says, as he tries to shrug off his drowsiness. "Where are they?" he asks

"Aqua went to oversee Roxas, Xion, Riku, and Kairi's mark of mastery exams," Leon explains. Terra and Lea nearly perk up at this. Terra, surprised at the thought of Aqua already having pupils of her own, while Lea is surprised to find Roxas and Xion are already becoming masters. Isa stops the flow of the conversation there though as he alerts Terra of something serious.

"Ventus however. . . We haven't seen him in over a decade." Terra's eyes widen as he hears, this, he's filled with energy as the realization of how long it's really been sets in.

"Ten years!? Xehanort's been using my body for ten years!?"

"Used your body?" asks Lea. Terra nods as he supports himself with one hand. Against the wall.

"I was defeated by Master Xehanort in our confrontation in the Keyblade Graveyard," Terra Explains. "He used the darkness to put my heart to sleep. He took his heart out of his old body, and put it inside mine," There's a moment of silence as everyone takes this in. Before Terra pushes himself off the wall and tries to make his way towards the room's exit.

"Where are you going?" asks Aerith.

"I need to find my keyblade. . . and my friends. . ." says Terra, before stopping, "Wait. . . I can't actually leave unless I have my keyblade. . ." says Terra, not knowing anything about the black coat he wears.

"We can help with that." offers Isa, to everyone's surprise, including Lea.

"Really? You can?" asks Terra, to which Isa nods." He focuses his newfound energy on opening a corridor of darkness behind him. "As long describe the world, we can help you find it." Terra looks hesitant at first, entering what is clearly a portal made of darkness. But seeing as its his only lead, he willingly enters. And not a moment later, Isa and Lea follow, leaving everyone else behind as the corridor of darkness closes. The three walk down the dark corridor, Lea leans close to Isa and asks him something

"I thought you'd want to look for Subject X first?" asks Lea

"If she's still in Radiant Garden, then she'll be there when we come back," Isa explains his reasoning. "Besides. Don't you have other people you should be seeing?" Lea is stunned at Isa's kindness, but he smiles, as he remembers what things were like before they were Axel and Saix.

"Huh? Did you say something?" asks Terra as he looks at the two.

"Nothing. Just talking about an old friend of ours," says Lea. Terra nods, then looks forward, following the path that Isa has set up for him. Lea and Isa follow closely behind.
