A corridor of darkness opens up in the world of Twilight Town. From it come three men, Lea, Terra, and Isa.

"This is Twilight Town?" asks Terra

"Yep. I used to hang out here all the time with Roxas and Xion."

"You think this is where they're taking their exam?" Terra asks

"Probably not, but I do know people who might know where they are," says Lea as he guides Terra and Isa to the usual spot. Lea moves the makeshift green curtain, only to find the usual spot.

"It seems no one's here," says Isa as he takes a quick look around.

"Is there any other place these people like to hang out at?" asks Terra.

"Hmm, there's the clock tower, but I've never taken Hayner, Pence, or Olette there. And I don't know if Roxas and Xion have either." Lea thinks aloud.

"They may be at the abandoned manor," Isa suggests

"Hmm. . . maybe. . . I guess it wouldn't hurt to check," says Lea. The three make their way to the abandoned mansion in the woods of Twilight Town and take a look around. They don't find anyone at first, but after regrouping the three take a quick look at the lab below the library, where they run into a peculiar duo.

"Hey! Who are you?" asks Donald Duck as he brandishes his staff.

"Woah! Hold on! We're not your enemies!" says Terra quickly materializing his keyblade for the two to see. Donald calms down a bit after seeing the familiar weapon

"Gwarsh, you must be Terra!" exclaims goofy.

"What are you doing here? And who are they?" asks Donald

"Name's Lea. Got it memorized?"

"I am Isa."

"They're friends of mine," Terra explains. "We're helping each other find our friends. Aqua, Roxas, Xion. Apparently, they're taking their mark of mastery exams, but we can't find them. Do you know where they are?" asks Terra

"Gwarsh well, They're over at Master Yen Sid's Tower. It's somewhere nearby this world if that helps!" says goofy.

"Alright. That's at least a start," says Terra. He turns around to face Isa and Lea. "You guys can wait outside the mansion. I'll use my keyblade glider to look at the general area around this world," says Terra

"Sounds like a good idea," says Isa

"Wait- hold on, are we just gonna skip over the part where you said Keyblade Glider?" Lea asks, unaware of what that is nor if he will get one.

"You'll see. Follow me," says Terra as he begins to make his way back to the exit of the manor. Isa and Lea follow closely behind.

Meanwhile, during all of these events, Aqua, Namine, Yen Sid, Mickey Hayner, Pence, and Olette, are still waiting inside the top of the tower for the return of the four pupils. Namine sighs as she looks out the moon-shaped window.

"I really hope they're okay. . ." says Namine

"Don't worry Namine! I'm sure they'll be fine! Just as long as they have each other." Mickey reassures her.

"Yeah, I know. . . I just. . . I feel like something's off." says Namine.

"What do you mean?" asks Aqua.

"I don't know. . . I just feel like something bad is gonna happen. . ." Namine explains.

"Don't worry Namine. I think that's just your head messing with you," says Olette. "You might not be used to living a normal life just yet. So when there isn't chaos, you begin to anticipate the worst."

"Yeah, I've had that feeling too," says Aqua attempting to reassure Namine, to little effect. Yen Sid, however, does the opposite.

"Hmm. . . no. . . I feel it too. . ." says the retired keyblade master. Eyes widen as the master says this. "The balance between light and darkness is experiencing some shifts. . . something has definitely happened. I just don't know where. . ." says Yen Sid. Namine glances out the window and sees a black object in the distance. It gets closer and closer and then. . .

"Bird!" says Namine as she suddenly ducks to dodge the swift raven.

"What the-" Hayner jumps back as the bird flies around the room.

"Wait! Is it holding something?" asks Pence as he tries to look closely at the bird, but he just can't get a good look at it as it flies.

"Oh no. . ." says Mickey as the bird slows down and lands on the table

"What's wrong Mickey?" asks Aqua.

"That bird. . . it belongs to Maleficent," says Mickey. There's a short gasp from everyone in the room, with the exception of Master Yen Sid. The gird drops something made of gold from its mouth, and a paper note onto Yen Sid's desk, before turning to fly out the window. Everyone gathers around the desk to see what raven had delivered.

"That crown-!" Aqua gasps

"It's Minnie's. . ." Mickey utters. He unravels the yellow ribbon around the rolled-up paper and gets a good look at it.

"Well. . . What does it say?" asks Namine

Just as I thought. Mickey says, with a hint of anger coming through in his voice. "It's from Maleficent. She's kidnapped, Minnie."

"Queen Minnie!?" Namine steps back

"No way. . ." says Hayner, barely able to grasp the severity of the situation.

"The letter says to return to Disney Castle. . . or else," says Mickey

"Mickey, there is no time to waste." says the master.

"Right. To the Gummi Ship!" says Mickey, running down the stairs. Namine and Aqua follow closely behind, while Hayner, Pence, and Olette attempt to keep up. The Twilight Town Trio hops in, but Aqua tries to stop them.

"You three stay here, things could get dangerous," says Aqua

"No way! We can't just let you do this alone!" says Pence

"Look, I know you want to help, but I can't just let you three come with and put you in danger," says Master Aqua.

Namine interrupts as she quickly types away at the terminal in the gummi ship."We don't have time to argue! We need to go!" Aqua looks at Namine and Mickey, then back at the Twilight Town Trio. She hesitates but allows them to sit down and join them on their way to Disney Castle. The gummi ship flies off into the distance, heading straight towards the castle.

Not much time passes until a man on a keyblade glider descends to Yen Sid's tower. He looks around, before quickly turning back to return to his friends. Not soon after, a corridor of darkness opens inside the tower, and from it, Terra, Lea, and Isa exit.

"You must be Master Yen Sid," says Terra.

"INdeed. And you must be Terra." Terra nods.

"Where's Roxas? And Xion?" asks Lea as he looks around "Aren't they taking their exam here?"

"Roxas and Xion have left, alongside Riku and Kairi to the sleeping realms. That is where their mark of mastery exam is taking place." says the master "They will return in a few hours." Lea sighs as his impatience shows, but he keeps himself together.

"Alright, guess I can wait a little longer. Name's Lea by the way."

"And I'm Isa. It's a pleasure to meet you." Terra looks around and finds a lack of a certain blue-haired keyblade master.

"Master Yen Sid. Do you know where Aqua is?" Yen Sid nods.

"They had received a letter from Maleficent, claiming she had kidnapped Queen Minnie," Terra is taken aback as he hears this.

"Maleficent!? Now? Why?"

"Hmm . . . Her plan has to be calculated. She wouldn't enact it for no reason." says Yen Sid. "She must have also sensed a change in the forces of darkness. . . a change such as. . ."

"Xehanort. . ." says Terra. Yen Sid nods.

"That would make sense. If the three of us are here, and Xemnas was the nobody of Terra and Xehanort, then it only makes sense for Xehanort to be back as well," says Isa. Terra nods.

"Master, do you know where Maleficent took Minnie? We need to help them," says Lea.

"Maleficent is keeping Minnie hostage in her own castle," says Master Yen Sid.

"The castle in Disney Town. Got it. Thank you Master." says Terra. Yen Sid nods and the three quickly run into a corridor of darkness.

The sounds of footsteps echo through Disney Castle as the six make their way to the throne room. They practically kick open the door as they rush in, upon entering they're met with Maleficent, and her lackey Pete, who's clasping his hands over Minnie's mouth.

"Pete! You cowardly thug! Let her go!" yells Namine,

"Hehe! Thug works for me. We all got a role to play, right?"

"Gee, way to be honesty. . ." Pence says under his breath

"Silence!" booms Maleficent. "No underling of mine shall be insulted so. I have great plans for dear Pete, and for all the worlds. Once I have taken them for my own."

"Well, we've got bad news for you Maleficent. That day won't ever come!" exclaims Aqua.

"Perhaps you should take a few moments to reconsider. Or does the queen's life mean nothing to you at all?" Maleficent taunts. "Besides, only that wretched girl can manage to stand against me alone. And it just so happens that she's . . . absent at this time." Maleficent forms a shrewd smile on her face.

Minnie manages to escape Pete's grasp for a mere moment, long enough for her to say "No! Don't listen to her! You can't let Maleficent have her w-". Pete manages to cover her mouth once more, muffling everything else she tries to say.

"No! Minnie!" shouts Mickey. The mouse clutches his fist. "All right, Maleficent tell us what you want."

"No. . . Mickey, you're not serious. . ." Olette says under her breath, trying not to let the witch across the room hear her, and it seems she was successful, as Maleficent doesn't acknowledge her comment.

"Let me see. . . Shall I begin with this world? I much preferred it in its darker, more ominous permutation." Namine growls a little at the thought of the darkness returning to this world once more. Mickey, however, doesn't seem to buy it.

"You're lying Maleficent. Not even you would go through that much trouble just for that." Says the king. "What is it you're really after?"

Maleficent groans a little but gives her adversary some credit. "Very Perceptive, Rat. I presume you are familiar with Xehanort. The man who led me to discover worlds outside of my own?"

"You know Xehanort?" asks Aqua in shock

Maleficent laughs before saying "I see at least someone here knows him. Yes, he shared everything with me. How to go about winning a heart over to the darkness, and, most gloriously. . ." Maleficent turns to look directly at Namine. "About hearts of pure light." Namine clenches her fist, as she stares down the mistress of all evil. "Seven hearts of pure light, hearts that would grant me the power I need to conquer all worlds!" maleficent boasts, before returning to her regular demeanor. "However, the worlds were too complex, too much for even me to contain. It seemed I had miscalculated." Maleficent admits. "THen it came to me- of course! I could go about conquering other worlds in my own manner," says Maleficent

"Argh! Enough monologuing! Get to the point!" yells Hayner.

Maleficent smirks at the boy's impatience but decided to cut to the chase. "Very well. Out there, somewhere, in another world, you have the body of that idiotic boy, Sora, hidden away. I would like you to hand him over to me."

"Why would you want Sora?" Asks Namine, her voices echoing throughout the throne room as she practically yells at Maleficent.

Maleficent laughs. "That boy, even if he didn't show it, I could feel the incredible darkness lingering from within."

"And what are you going to do to him once you do have him?" asks Aqua.

"That's no concern of yours." Maleficent taunts. Fury grows from within the three keyblade bearers as thoughts of what Maleficent plans run through their minds, Mickey takes a step forward, and Namine materializes her keyblade, but they stop as Pete gets their attention.

"Ah-ah-ah. . . Wouldn't want her Royal Minnie Mousiness to get a boo-boo, now would we?" Pete taunts

"I see you have failed to recognize the futility of your situation," says Maleficent, as she begins to approach the six who stand before her. "Very well. . . " Maleficent raises her staff as it begins to glow brightly. "Face your doom!". She swings her staff and casts a ghastly green-colored spell. The spell hurls towards the group while Aqua and Mickey Materialize their keyblades as they try to protect Hayner, Pence, and Olette from the attack. But instead of being hit by the blast, they're surprised to see a corridor of darkness open in front of them. The corridor disappears as the spell seems to collide with something in front of them, The six widen their eyes as they see a man with long blue hair, holding his claymore in a defensive position.

Another corridor opens from which two red and black spiked chakrams fly out, the two chakrams hit Pete and knocks him back. Money seizes this opportunity and uses her magical energy to create a pillar of light, forcing Pete and Maleficent even farther back. Minnie quickly runs to safety, behind the three keyblade wielders, and Isa. The two spinning Chakrams fly and swirl at Isa's side, and from the corridor of darkness, a spiky-haired red-head dashes out, and grabs his two Chakrams.

"Axel!?" says Hayner, Pence, Olette, and Namine, in complete surprise to see the man they thought was dead.

"Why you insolent fools. I will burn you all to the ground, and find that idiot boy myself!" maleficent booms, as she uses magic to dash at Master Mickey, only for a third person to dash out of the corridor of darkness, which closes immediately after he leaves. Terra swings his massive keyblade, catching Maleficent off guard, and forcing her to leap back near the end of the room. Terra leaps back and lands beside Aqua.

"Terra?" Aqua asks. Terra looks over at her before his body is engulfed in light. His armor dematerializes, allowing Aqua to see his face for the first time in ten years. Aqua smiles and has to force herself not to cry as she sees her lifelong friend once more, before the two turn to face Maleficent, alongside everyone else.

"You've lost, Maleficent," says Mickey.

Maleficent growls as she realizes that she's yet again allowed her darkness to overrun her and that she's let her anger get the better of her. But she knows they're right. They far outnumber her now, and her hostage has escaped. They have no choice but to flee. Maleficent slamming the end of her staff to the ground and forming her own corridor of darkness behind her. Pete and Maleficent enter the corridor, without a word. Everyone in the room lightens up as the two beings who side with darkness leave.

As Lea and Isa dematerialize their weapons, Lea feels the sudden force of four teenagers bear-hugging him all at once.

"Axel! You're alive!" says Olette with tears running from her eyes

"We thought you died man!" says Hayner. Lea is surprised to see these four, especially Namine, get so emotional over him, but he doesn't seem to mind it at all.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you guys worried," says Lea. "Also, my real name's Lea now. But you guys can still call me Axel if you want. Oh, and also. . ." Axel turns to face his first friend. "This is my friend from way back when we were your age. His name's Isa." the Twilight Town trio introduces themselves to Isa, and the five of them talk, finally having time to catch up on what's happened.

Meanwhile, Aqua finally lets go of Terra, giving her the strongest hug she could muster, just to make sure he was really there in the flesh.

"It's been a long ten years," says Aqua, laughing a little.

"Couldn't have said it better myself" Terra responds. He looks around the room for a moment, before quietly asking Aqua. "So um. . .is it true? About Roxas looking like Ventus?" Aqua nods.

"Yeah. they're identical. Put them side by side and you wouldn't be able to tell who is who."

"Huh, that's interesting. I was told he looked like Ven, but I didn't know if that was just hazy memories from Lea and Isa or not," says Terra

"Nope, it's definitely true. It took me awhile to really understand that Roxas wasn't related to Ven at all." The two look at the King, who begins to escort his Queen to the Gummi Ship "Looks like we have some catching up to do once we get back to the Master's tower." says Aqua.

"Yeah. . ." says Terra, before he gets a sudden idea. "Wanna race there on our gliders? For old times sake?" asks Terra as Namine, Hayner, Pence, and Olette wave goodbye to Axel and Isa, before following the King and Queen.

"Yeah, I'd like that," Aqua responds. The two quickly make their way to the garden in the center of the castle while Isa and Lea take a corridor of darkness back to the tower. As they see off the gummi ship, Aqua and Terra press the button on their sleeve and shoulder, dawning their keyblade armor once more. They throw their keyblades into the air, and they transform into Keyblade gliders, capable of flight. The two hop off, and on the count of three. Fly off at high speeds back to the Master's Tower, ready to tell each other the many stories they had accumulated over the decade.
