Xion and Roxas open their eyes as they awaken in a new world, or rather, a familiar world. They push themselves off the glass floor below, and that's when it hits them.

"Wait- is this Traverse Town?" Asks Roxas. They look around as they stand on the previously shattered glass ceiling on which Xion and Kairi fought their first powerful nightmare. The pair begin to walk towards the edge of the building when a familiar voice is heard behind them.

"Why, hello down there. I've been waiting for you two." Roxas and Xion turn around to face Joshua, who yet again sits on an elevated platform.

"You do know you can wait on the ground, right?" ask Roxas jokingly.

"Yeah. why not come down, it'd be nice to have an actual conversation with you," says Xion.

"Now?" Joshua asks

"Hm? "Now?"? What do you mean by that? You're the one who said you were waiting," says Roxas. Joshua shrugs, before hopping off the platform.

"You know Roxas, you're turning more into Neku every day." says Joshua as he approaches the two. "But listen, I'm glad you two showed up because our friends seem to be in trouble."

"What happened?" asks Xion

"Well, on a brighter note, Everyone has managed to find their original game partners." says Joshua "But, they still can't go home, not yet."

"Why not?" asks Roxas.

"Remember what I told you? Their existence is on the line. If Neku and the others want to get back to where they come from, they need to win the Reapers' Game."

"Reaper's game?" asks Xion

"It's like a series of missions. Those are the rules of their home ground." Joshua explains. "Except. . . this time, the mission is a tough one. They've been pitted against a dream eater that can summon a hundred more like it. So, I was sort of hoping you two, as well as Riku and Kairi, could help us out. You have those Keyblades, and with those, we might still have a chance."

"I see. . . Well, I don't know Neku's Game partner, but I know they're my friends. We'll help them in any way we can." says Xion.

"Right!" Roxas exclaims.

"Well, I'm glad your enthusiastic," says Joshua, smiling. "Neku and Shiki are dealing with Nightmares over in the Fountain Plaza."

"Got it. Thanks, Joshua!" says Roxas as he and Xion leap off the roof of the building. Joshua watches from afar as the two make their way to the Fountain Plaza. Roxas and Xion navigate the fourth district of Traverse Town and eventually find their way to the Fountain Plaza just in time to see Shiki blasted into the fountain by a powerful reign of thunder cast by a large bird-like nightmare sitting upon a broomstick, wearing a witches hat, known as a Spellican.

"Shiki!" shouts Neku as he watches his partner fall into the water. He turns to see a regular nightmare gathering energy around it. Neku jumps in front of where Shiki lies and braces himself for the attack, only for the fireball to be blocked by boy dual-wielding keyblades. Shiki gets up and sees the familiar boy.

"Roxas!?" the two Game partners feel a wave of soothing energy as Xion leaps over them, quickly casting a cure spell and landing by Roxas side.

"We'll take things from here!" says Xion as a group of nightmares approach.

"What- Xion? We don't need your help," says Neku

"Course you do! Where are you Dream Eaters?" asks Roxas, as a ball of light appears from Xion's body, and takes the form of a Meow Wow.

"I don't need them anymore," Neku claims.

"Oh, right. You're partner," says Roxas, having forgotten the little details already. "Well, don't you want to make it out of the Game? Who's gonna help if both of you get hurt?" asks Roxas. Neku looks at the two, then back at his wounded partner.

"Fine, you win. I'll let you do the sweating," says Neku, before running off to safety alongside Shiki. With their friends safe, Roxas, Xion, and Strela face the nightmares before them.

The two keyblade wielders and their friendly dream eater shred through the nightmares. Blizzard and Balloon spells are cast, and keyblades slash as the three take out the many nightmares around them. Roxas catches his breath as Strela turns back into a ball of light and takes a rest within Xion's body.

"You know. . . I think I'm finally getting closer to my old strength. . ." says Roxas

"That's good. Maybe you'll be able to use those keyblades without Valor form someday." Xion teases. Roxas smiles before their attention is turned to the nightmare in the sky. The Spellican waves its wand around and creates a portal beside it. The Spellican quickly uses it to disappear.

"Great. . . it got away. . ." Roxas grimaces. The two turn around as Neku and Shiki approach them from behind. "I don't think we ever got the chance to introduce ourselves. I'm Roxas." Roxas says to Neku.

"Neku, Shiki told me about you, and Riku" he responds simply. Meanwhile, Xion introduces herself to Shiki.

"You must be Neku's partner. I'm Xion."

"Yeah. I'm Shiki. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Yeah, I was hoping I'd get to see you since I met Neku. He was looking everywhere for you," says Xion.

Neku quickly interrupts "Hey! Xion! Stop talking!" he says, hiding his flustered state pretty well, managing to keep his tone consistent with how he normally talks.

"Why? You said you need her. Needing someone isn't a bad thing." says Xion. Neku tries to argue but gives up. Shiki seems pleased though.

"Aww, that's sweet, Neku." Says Shiki. Neku looks away from her and rubs the back of his neck. The sweet moment doesn't last long though, as Joshua arrives in the Fountain Plaza.

"I'm sorry, is this a bad time?" Joshua asks. The four turn to face the boy. "Because that dream eater we're after has retreated to the other imagining of this world."

"You mean where Riku and Kairi are?" asks Roxas.

"Yes. Riku and Kairi, as well as Beat and Rhyme, will do what they can. But we'll just run ourselves in circles at this rate." says Joshua. "We need to trap that thing in one place, and then we can finish it."

"That sounds like a good idea, but we'd need a place to actually trap it," says i

"I already have one. The third district should work well," says Joshua.

"Great, let's go!" says Roxas, storming off to the third district, Xion follows closely behind, while Neku and Shiki chase after them. Making their way to the first district, they use the large door to their left to get to the third district. Shiki, Neku, and Joshua wait aside while Roxas and Xion wait in front of a portal, preparing for Riku and Kairi to fulfill their part of the plan. There is silence for a long period of time, when suddenly, the portal shifts, and beside it the Spellican appears.

"Way to go Riku!" says Roxas as he and Xion materialize their keyblades. The Spellican, in a panic, quickly summons more nightmares at his side. The nightmares quickly fly off as Xion and Roxas attack. Many nightmares flee to the nearby first and second districts. Xion considers letting Roxas handle things here with Oathkeeper and Oblivion, while she slaughters the rest, but Neku gets her attention.

"We'll handle things here. You take care of the boss!" Yells Neku

Xion smiles and nods. "Will do Neku!" shouts Xion. Neku and Shiki Run to chase after the smaller nightmares, while the two face the Spellican. The spellican waves its wand one more time and flies to the air. Before either of the two keyblade wielders can chase after it. A glyph appears on the ground and from it emerges a large nightmare, the Hockomonkey. Strela exits Xion's body and takes her usual Meow WOw form. The three prepare to engage these old enemies.

The two keyblade wielders dash around the arena with flow motion. Slashing through the Hockomonkey with ease while Strela casts many powerful Balloon spells. The Hockomonkey switches between its ranged punching attacks, and its sharp-melee clawing attacks, forcing Roxas, Xion, and Strela to change how they fight whenever it changes form. Even with the form changes, however, Roxas and Xion alone easily overpower the Hockomonkey, slaying it without too much effort. It explodes into purple dust and shards.

For a moment it's just the three heroes and the Spellican, but it doesn't stay that way for long. The Spellican recites an incantation, and yet another glyph appears on the ground. From it, the Wargoyle emerges Worgoyle slams the ground and shoots a barrage of explosive fireballs, But Roxas and Xion manage to outlive the monster, with a little help from Strela, who casts powerful balloon to distract the strong nightmare, and healing spells whenever they get seriously injured. Eventually, Roxas manages to pierce the Wargoyle, stabbing right through its body as he dashes with flowmotion, finishing it off.

The Spellican once again recites an incantation, and from the ground emerges one last nightmare, the Char Clawbster. The Char Clawbster sends out waves of fire as it swings its claws around. Roxas and Xion however, are already one step ahead of it. Casting blizzard spells to extinguish the fire and slashing at the nightmare's tough armor. As the Char Clawbster casts powerful fire spells and throws explosive projectiles, Xion dashes through some fire, gathering it around her keyblade, Rejection of Fate, and setting it ablaze. She turns and throws her keyblade at the Char Clawbster, finishing it off as it pierces its armor. The Char Clawbster screeches as it disintegrates into crystals and dust, disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

As Roxas and Xion turn the Spellican, the worst-case scenario happens, from the sky a bright light in the shape of a keyhole emerges. The Spellican quickly turns and dashes towards the keyhole. Shiki and Neku return just in time to see the Spellican fly off towards it. Almost everyone is caught off guard however when a familiar figure with a black helmet and wearing silver and gold plated armor jumps onto a raised platform, Roxas and Xion's Nightmare, referred to as the Husk by Neku, leaps off the building and dives into the keyhole after the Spellican.

"Where are they going?" asks Neku

"Somewhere else. Out of Traverse Town, and out of my reach. We'll just have to let it go."

"Great. . ." Neku laments.

"So we failed the mission?" asks Shiki

Xion thinks for a moment. "Not quite. . ." she says, this catches their attention. "You guys may not be able to leave this world, but we can."

"Yeah! If we can track that thing down in another world and destroy it. That should complete your mission, right?" asks Roxas.

"You would do that?" asks Shiki. The two nod

"Of course, we're your friends after all," says Roxas

"And we're not part of the Game either, so the rules don't apply to us." Xion points out. The two keyblade wielders raise their keyblades and aim them at the keyhole before their attention is turned to Neku.

"Hey." the two look over their shoulder to look at him. "Thanks. It wasn't easy, but you made it easier."

"You should visit our world once we're all back," says Shiki

"Sounds like a plan," Roxas responds.

"Alright then. See you in Shibuya," says Neku.

"Yeah, see you then," says Xion. The two look back to the keyhole and readjust their keyblades, before shooting out beams of light from them. The beams intertwine and pierce the hole, causing it to glow brightly and shine like a star. Neku, Shiki, and Joshua shield their eyes as the light becomes too much for them to handle. Roxas and Xion collapse as the feeling of drowsiness takes over them once more. When the three reopen their eyes. Roxas and Xion are gone.
