Clint was being overrun. He was out of arrows and was now only depending on his fighting skills. The man he was fighting was probably going to be his last fight of the day, and it's not looking too good. After fighting for this long already, Clint's exhausted.

Clint realized this a moment too late and yelled into his comm. "I might need a catch coming up!" His foot slipped on a piece of glass and he almost fell out the window, he made the mistake of looking back and the enemy got an advantage. The big and burly man grabs Clint's throat with a beefy hand. Clint chokes and his hands fly to the man's wrists

Clint was slowly pushed back before his legs were hovering over the street five stories below. Clint is defenseless. He was choking and gasping for air, and his legs were dangling uselessly below him. His vision is dancing and when the hands let go of his throat, he begins to fall.

Tony hears Clint shout for help, but is occupied. While fighting he uses Jarvis to see where Clint is, so he can locate him before it's too late. With one last blast to the chest of the enemy, Tony flies away and rushes to Clint. Only to be too late.

Clint lets out a choked cough when he is released. He instinctively reaches for his arrow but realizes belatedly that there were no more.

Tony turns the corner and reveals the sight of Clint falling from the five-story window. He is out of arrows and is twisting in midair. "Clint!" He shouts.

What happens next will forever be engraved in Tony's mind. Clint's dead weight crashing into the top of the car. His head slams back into the metal, but surprisingly he's still conscious. "Shit!" Tony, it's before landing on the hood of the car and hopping out of the suit.

"Tony? What is it?" Steve asks, concern lacing his tone. "Umm, Clint's down. I'm on 17th street, you'll see us."

"Tony…" Clint says before choking on blood. Tony gasps, "no!" He couldn't have popped a lung. That means he'd probably die. "Don' worry…" Clint coughs around a glob of blood, it dribbles down his chin. "Jus' bit m'tongue." Clint winces in pain when he tries to sit up. His eyes squeeze shut. "No stop, don't move just yet. Steve's coming over now."

Not even five minutes later, Steve is running over to them. He's barely out of breath. Steve sees Clint's limp body and gasps. "Oh my god."

"Clint?" He rolls his head over and looks at him. "Hey Stevie." He chuckles at the name then asks, "What hurts?"

"S'mthings wrong with m'back. Head hur's too." Now that Steve looks closely, he can see the unfocused eyes. "Can Jarvis scan him?" Steve asks Tony.

"Of course." Tony commands Jarvis to do so, and the results are horrific. "Agent Barton has broken his left femur and clavicle, seven ribs are broken and three are bruised. And two vertebrae are cracked along his mid-back." Steve breaths out.

"That means he can't walk right now." Tony says quietly.

Eventually, Natasha turns the corner and runs over. She was already informed over the comms about the situation. She caused shield medical and they were on their way. In the amount of time it took her to walk over to them, the med team still hasn't arrived.

"Classic shield workers." Tony mumbles under his breath.

What felt like hours, they could hear the sirens. Clint looks better. The blood from his tongue was wiped off his face, and he only looks perfectly fine. The only way you can tell were his eyes, they were starting to glaze over and he started saying that he could see two Natashas and Steves.

Once the doctors receive the verdict, they pull out a stretcher for Clint. They wheel it over to the car and stop there. Since Clint didn't have that serious of a back injury, he could be moved slightly. It might still hurt him but it won't cause much more of an injury to him.

They managed to pick Clint up, he winced and squeezed his eyes shut in the pain. His breathing deepens and becomes raspier.

He is laid on the stretcher and he sighs as the pain backs away. He is wheeled away while multiple IVs were being stuck in him. He looked so utterly confused and lost it made Steve want to make protecting this man his number one priority. Without a second thought, the ambulance drives away, leaving the team waiting in the dust.

When Clint wakes up, the smell of antiseptic hits him. So does the pain. He doesn't have the energy to move though. His eyes open up groggily and his head falls to the side. He sees Natasha. "Tasha?" He rasps out. She looks up from her book and smiles.

After retrieving a cup of water she tells him to be careful. "You have nine stitches in your tongue, you literally bit through it." She says, mildly impressed. Natasha feeds it to Clint when his arms fail him, she asks Jarvis to alert the others that Clint was awake. Tony is the first to come hustling in. "Oh my god Clint, I thought though died. You broke your back by the way." He says the last part nonchalantly.

"Tha' explains why I can't feel my legs." Tony blanches."what.."

Clint chuckles. "Jus' kidding. You did good fixing it." He wiggles his toes as proof. With a wince and a white knuckle grip on the bed rail, Clint manages to pull himself into a sitting position. Of course, that's when Steve happens to stroll in.

"You're not supposed to be sitting up." He states blatantly. Clint stares at him with puppy dog eyes. Steve walks over and goes to at least make it more comfortable for him by raising the bed.

The opening in the back of Clint's gown opens up a little as he leans forward and stretches, revealing a large purple area near his spine. Steve gasps. "What the heck!?" Clint tries to turn and look at his back but fails miserably. Tony helps him out by pushing the robe off of the rest of his back and taking a picture. He shows the picture to Clint, who just chuckles lightly.

"Not the first time it's happened, Cap. It's from my quiver, it's pretty hard. Especially when you fall from a window five stories tall." Tony takes in this information and tells Clint that he'll make a solution. Before any protests come out of Clint's mouth, Tony is out the door and in his lab.

I'm so behind on these. *Insert crying emoji* Ahhh, i'll try to keep them coming. Thanks for reviewing by the way!
