Clint turns the corner and almost runs right into one of those Ultron robot thingies if it weren't for his fast reflexes in taking out an EMF arrow and slamming it into the meatal stomach. It falls to the ground shaking.

Clint resumes his trek to the helicarriers. "Ow….ow….ow….ow" He mumbles every time he puts weight on his left foot. He had twisted his ankle pretty badly earlier in the battle and now that the adrenaline was wearing off, the pain was starting to come back.

Pietro sees Clint limping over to him and waves him over. Clint smiles and starts to limp over, he would've kept going if he hadn't been suddenly assaulted by a robot thingy.

A metal hand wrapped itself around Clint's throat and he heard a metallic voice start speaking. "You look a little thirsty, here you go." Clint is dragged by his neck over to a bucket. Clint is kicking and thrashing, all to no avail. A couple other robots came and even more were appearing. They were doing a pretty good job of parrying off Pietro, who was speeding around each and every one, slowly incapacitating one at a time.

The tub of water is shoved in his face and Clint doesn't have time to take a breath. Water invades his nostrils and throat, and he chokes on it. He starts thrashing against and is jerking in place, but the steel and metal arms hold strong. Black starts to appear in his vision and everything becomes blurry. The water in his throat stings as it makes its way further into his body.

He bucks once more before going limp, head hanging inside the bucket. The robots don't let go until they are knocked out of the way by Pietro.

By then, Clint is unconscious. His head is floating in the bucket and his hair is floating around him. Pietro yanks him out with a grunt and Clint falls to his side with no reaction.

Pietro is devastated, without a second thought, he starts CPR, the training that he's received when he got his powers.

Five reps later there is still no reaction, Pietro's about to give up. When suddenly Clint gasps and chokes. Pietro pushes him onto his side before leaning back on his knees, sighing in relief. Clint spits out all the water that was stuck in his lungs and a couple minutes later he collapses backwards onto his back and stares at the sky. Still coughing every couple seconds.

Pietro pokes his head into Clint's field of vision. "Are you going to get up now?" He asks.

Clint nods weakly and struggles to stand up. "M'good quick guy. Jus'…jus' help me up." He pauses. "Please…"

Pietro holds his hand out and Clint takes it. Only to sway dangerously on his feet when he stands up. Clint curls around his stomach and groans. Pietro feels bad, he probably cracked a couple ribs.

Clint leans heavily on Pietro, who wraps an arm around Clint to keep him upright. Clint's head falls limp onto Pietro's shoulder, but he's still conscious. Water dribbles out of his mouth and down his chin.

"Please don't pass out. I will not carry you that far." Pietro jokes. There is concern and anxiety lacing the undertone of his voice. Clint's jerks back awake at the accented voice and mumbles a response, one that Pietro doesn't understand.

Clint is coughing lightly, too weak to lift his arm up and brush off the water and saliva that's dripping down his chin.

Eventually they manage to make their way over to the helicarriers, only a short distance away. But by the end of their "journey" Clint is panting and his legs have stopped working.

Suddenly there is a loud clunking noise and Pietro jerks his head to the sky, where he sees Ultron with a giant machine gun pointed right at them. He hurriedly drags them away from open area and into cover, putting his back to the gun and himself over Clint.

If Clint was aware of what was going on, he probably would've reacted more. But he was clinging onto consciousness and was barely standing upright.

Steve turns the corner and sees the scene unfold.

Loud bangs resound through the air and Pietro clenches his eyes shut, waiting for the pain to hit. Each shot receives a grunt from the kid and a couple seconds later Clint and him are both on the ground. Passed out.

Steve runs over and falls to his knees. He sees Pietro. Dead. "No…" He whispers. "I told you to walk it off son, that was an order."

Steve sadly picks up Pietro and Clint, supporting both of them enough to get to the medical helicarrier. Where he lies Clint on a bench and Pietro on the floor next to him, the blood pooling around him. That's what Steve notices the blood pooling around Clint's leg. He sighs, looking at the wound. A bullet missed Pietro and hit Clint's thigh.

Once pressure is applied, Clint jerks awake.

His eyes are slits of blueish grey. Clint lolls his head to the left and jerks on the bench when he sees Pietro lying next to him. Blood was dried across his chest and there were multiple bullet holes scattered throughout his stomach and arms. Pietro's starking blue eyes were staring right past him, and Clint could see that there was no longer life to them.

Clint's knees crash to the ground as he practically falls off his bench to the floor by Pietro's side. He chokes back a sob. "No...I promised." Clint takes Pietro's hand in his. "I promised your...sister that I'd pr–protect you." He whispers, resting a shaking hand on Pietro's forehead. Brushing off the bleach colored hair. "m'sorry I failed her." He says at last. Clint lays his forehead onto Pietro's chest.

Steve stands there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. He is saved by Wanda, who comes over and cries when she sees her brother. She lets the pink magic flow around her and her brother. "I can't feel you…" She says, tears dripping down her face.

At those words Clint's heart cracks even more. "M'sorry. I swear...I–I–I didn't me–"

"Clint, it's not your fault. He saved you right." Wanda cuts in. "That's what matters. If he thinks he made the right choice, then I'll agree with him. And I know that he didn't want you to feel guilty." A tear runs down her cheek.

She opens her arms for a hug. Clint leans in and accepts it. Together they weep and mourn for the dead. He lies at their feet. Steve walks away, giving them space to cry.

Okay not gonna lie, This was way sadder in my head and now I can't stop thinking about if this were to happen in the movie. (Insert crying emoji right here.)

I got my braces off today and let me tell you, I look like the grinning filter on Tik Tok. It's so bad. Ughhh.

Thanks Katie MacAlpine for reviewing. And if Clint ever dies, in any movie or false reality, I will literally not know what to do with myself. I'd cry myself to sleep for the next couple weeks. You probably already knew this, but Jeremy Renner actually requested for Hawkeye to be killed because he didn't like the way the character was turning out. If the directors or whoever was in charge actually listened to him and killed Hawkeye, I would bawl my eyes out.

Anyways, sorry for not posting in a while. I hope you guys all had a wonderful Halloween and got tons of candy. And I hope you don't mind that we're now in November.
