Memoirs of Pride II

You find Silk resting against the mast. "Is it just me, or does the sky seem bluer when you're sailing? Anyway, what did you need?"

You shrug. "It's a quiet day. Just wanted to hang out."

Silk nods. "Okay, works for me! But I feel pretty lazy today. Let's just sit and talk, huh?" As you settle down, enjoy the calmness of the ocean, you let your thoughts drift and wander… "Hey, Hook!" You open one eye to acknowledge an excited Silk. So much for a quiet day... "You want to hear an amazing story about Oakland Cisco!? All this blue sky reminded me of something he did once!"

"What? Did he find treasure?" You wonder aloud.

Silk shakes her head. "He was an explorer, not a treasure hunter! But, anyway, I read in his journal he found an island with a big hole in the middle of it! Like right in the center of it! But you'll never guess the weird part!"

You smirk, her excitement was infectious. "Was it also a bottomless pit?"

"Hee hee! I stumped ya, huh!? Nah, the exact opposite!" When you give her a puzzled look, she explains. "See, one of his men got some of the wildlife angry, and the whole expedition got chased! Guess which way they had to go?"

"Was it the hole?"

"It was! But get this! They didn't fall in! According to Cisco, the entire group was running on the air over the hole! It was as if the mountain was there, but invisible! Pretty unexpected, right!?"

"Sure is…" You blink at the possibility. An invisible mountain? Is something like that in the Grand Line?

"Thanks for listening, Hook!" Silk punched your arm slightly. "It's good to have someone who wants to listen about Cisco! Every adventure he's had, and it's like he was completely forgotten because he wasn't a Pirate or just because he was a Blue Sea-level explorer…Hey, Hook? Think we're gonna have adventures like that?"

"Hell no!" You give Silk a huge grin. "Our adventures are gonna be 10 times better than that!"

Silk returns the grin with ease. "Yeah…Bet we'll see something that blows running on air out of the water one day!" As the two of you settle down, just enjoying the day, and each other's company, you feel the bond of Iron and Gold grow stronger!
