A/N: This chapter was mainly unplanned as I didn't really have any idea what to write, it's also a filler chapter so please keep in mind nothing major will happen apart from the return of Souichiro and something happening to the main pairing which would be easy to guess. Also you get to meet Naruto's pet this chapter which this chapter is focused on Naruto and his pet.

Upon entering the compound type Mansion Naruto saw a lot of tents in the front yard and realized what was going on "So Souichiro is allowing people to live here and keeps them protected huh?" Naruto muttered out loud getting a nod from his parents.

"Yeah, in fact he's out on a supply run with a small platoon right now" Minato said as Naruto nodded a little and started to walk off confusing the group he was with until Minato continued "He's probably using the hole in the wall between our houses so he can go check up on his pet and to get his sword" as Minato finished Saya's eyes sparkled as she asked.

"How is Kurama?" The question confused everyone but Naruto's parents as they said.

"Kurama is Naru-chan's pet fox he's been tending to since Kurama was just a kit, they're almost inseparable when they're in the house together" Kushina said with a soft giggle as she then answered Saya's question "Kurama is doing alright, although he recently started to hunt and has dragged back some rabbits before, although Naruto always cooks them for him" Kushina said with a soft giggle before she then stopped and smiled "He's inside the house right now if I remember correctly, next to Naruto's bed" Kushina said getting a nod from Saya as she looked at Naruto's bedroom window and saw some orange and she chuckled.

"Yup he's in Naru's room" Saya said before she smiled and waved, after she finished waving the orange vanished from the window.

-With Naruto-

Naruto was walking up the stairs to his room and then he started to hear some yipping from his door and chuckled "I take it Saya spotted you and waved" Naruto asked from the other side of his door as he opened it, once he opened it he caught an orange ball of fur and smiled "You been keeping my room safe huh Kurama?" Naruto asked as Kurama's ears twitched and he yipped making Naruto smile as he walked into his room after putting Kurama down, once he was in he closed the door and changed into something more comfortable, casual clothes consisting of sweatpants and a short sleeves top and a hoodie before he grabbed his katana and started to walk out of his room with Kurama following close behind him, once down the stairs he grabbed the meat from the fridge for Kurama and smiled "I'll make it for you at Saya's place" Naruto said making Kurama, what looked like, nod and then the two started to walk towards the hole with Naruto carrying a plastic bag with the raw meat in, once he got through the wall he picked Kurama up in his arm and started to walk towards the main house.

After he entered the house he looked around and smiled a little as he walked towards the kitchen as if on autopilot, once reaching it he opened the doors and the chefs saw him and then Kurama and smiled "Still got Kurama, eh?" Asked someone from behind Naruto making him smile.

"Of course I do, Kurama's my best friend beside Saya" Naruto said as he turned around and smiled at the head chef "And of course he still somehow likes your food better even though I make it the same way" Naruto said as he then groaned "So, Souma mind if I use the kitchen to make Kurama some food?" Naruto asked getting a chuckle from the old man in front of him who nodded and the looked at the other chefs.

"You heard him, kitchen is for Naruto and Kurama till Kurama is all done with his food Naruto has" Souma said to the chefs getting a nod from them as they all left, after they left Naruto looked at Kurama and smiled.

"What would you like today bud?" Naruto asked as he put a menu in front of Kurama who then sniffed the bag with ingredients and put his paw on porkchop before yipping. Naruto smiled and nodded as he grabbed out the pork and started to cut the fat off it and throw it into the bin as he knew Kurama didn't like the fat on meats, after doing that he started by putting some oil on the frying pan and spreading out evenly before putting the pork on and starting to cook the food, he kept his focus on the food until he looked over to see Kurama not on the spot he was before and chuckled "Hey there Saya, come to steal some of Kurama's food again?" Naruto asked as he heard a groan behind him.

"How did you know?" She asked as Naruto pointed to where the menu is and where Kurama was and she realized "Aww Kurama gave me away?" She asked as Kurama yipped from the floor and made them both laugh a little.

"I'll make you something in a minute Saya, just gonna finish Kurama's porkchop then I'll make you curry or something" Naruto said as she smiled at the thought of his food and sat on the counter behind him as she had picked Kurama up and set him in her lap, Kurama sat in her lap as Saya stroked his head, 10 minutes after Naruto finished Kurama's porkchop and put it on a plate that had Kurama's name on it and then put it next to Saya and Kurama hopped off her lap, yipped at Naruto and started to eat as Naruto smiled "You're very welcome bud" Naruto said then turned to Saya "What would you like Saya?" Naruto asked as she thought.

"Omelette and fries" Saya said as Naruto raised an eyebrow but nodded and cracked an eye on a new pan after putting the other in the sink and started to make her omelette after putting the fries in the fryer. After 10 minutes he finished cooking Saya's food and put it on another plate and handed it to her as she smiled and kisses his cheek "Thank you" She whispered and he smiled.

"You're welcome" he said as he started to eat the left over omelette he put on a plate for himself, while eating he turned his head to the door and smiled "Hey Yuriko" Naruto said as he saw the purple hair at the door and then chuckled "You too kaa-chan" Naruto said as he heard them both sigh and come in.

"We were caught Yuri-chan" Kushina said childishly as Yuriko pouted and nodded.

"I only wanted to watch little Naru-chan ask out Saya" Yuriko said as Naruto groaned before he said.

"I'd actually like to have your own and Souichiro's blessing before I date Saya" Naruto said surprising the two mothers.

"Oh what do you need their blessing for Naru-chan?" Kushina asked before a teasing smirk appeared "Do you plan to do more than just confess your feelings for Saya?" Kushina asked with a smirk making Naruto choke on his omelette as he looked at her and pointed.

"No!" Naruto shouted before controlling the growing blush on his face "I always planned to ask them by the time the current semester would have ended but this whole thing happened" Naruto said as he continued eating and Yuriko smiled.

"You've had my blessing since you two were only children Naruto" Yuriko said surprising the two teens "And I'm going to guess Souichiro has as well considering you've protected Saya and even gotten as strong as himself with the katana, even surpassing him and becoming as strong as your own mother" Yuriko said again as Naruto was silent "And he knows you'll always protect her" Yuriko finished as she walked out the door along with Kushina and waved to their kids before walking off.

Naruto was still stood there silent after finishing his omelette and chuckled as he cleaned the dishes and heard Kurama next to him yipping "Yeah I know bud, it's time to leave and let Souma have his kitchen back" Naruto said and then picked up Kurama and walked off as he rubbed Kurama's belly "You also think of me as your dad huh?" Naruto asked as Kurama purred and yipped softly "Who would be your mom then?" Naruto asked quietly as Kurama yipped and Naruto blushed knowing who he meant "Really Saya?" Naruto asked as Kurama seemed to nod again and Naruto sighed and chuckled "We should get going Kurama" Naruto said walking out of the mansion and almost bumping into someone and smirked a little "Souichiro!" Naruto exclaimed making the man look at him and smile a little.

"Naruto, you got here safe and with my daughter huh? Even without your bokken" Souichiro said as Naruto grinned.

"I wasn't only taught to use a blade Souichiro, I was taught by my tou-san as well and then taught hand-to-hand by you as well as how to use the blade" Naruto said as Souichiro nodded and Naruto then said seriously "I'm here for your blessing to date Saya" Naruto said staring into Souichiro's eyes surprising Saya's dad at the change in their conversation.

"And what makes you believe you are worthy for my daughter?" Souichiro asked as Naruto grinned a little.

"The fact I'm better than you with a blade? Or maybe the fact I can probably beat you in a hand-to-hand fight? Apart from that I don't know other than the fact that I love her and have since we were kids" Naruto said before he looked at Kurama and smiled "I mean I did train to protect her after all" Naruto said as Souichiro looked surprised finally hearing Naruto's reason to train, he wasn't the only one surprised after all both of Naruto's parents were and so was Yuriko "So if I have to I will challenge you to a fight, if I win you let me date Saya" Naruto said with determination burning in his eyes as Souichiro smiled a little and nodded.

"You've got more balls than you did as a kid, that's for damn sure Naruto" Souichiro said as Naruto kept looking at him "Sure, you can date Saya, but if I find out you hurt her in anyway I won't stop until I've killed you" Souichiro said as Naruto then grinned.

"I'd kill myself before you could even touch me" Naruto said as he walked to the door and opened it "So did you hear that Saya?" Naruto asked as she was stood there with tears in the corner of her eyes, Naruto put his sword beside the door as he prepared for her to cuddle him, she cuddled him tighter than he expected though as he smiled and kissed her head.

Kurama yipped from beside them as Saya chuckled slightly and looked at him and Kurama tilted his head and Naruto chuckled before reply "Yeah sure she is" Naruto said surprising the other's at his answer.

"What did he say Naruto?" Minato asked as Naruto blushed and he looked away.

"He asked if Saya was his kaa-chan now" Naruto mumbled making Yuriko and Kushina squeal like fangirls and Souichiro and Minato to laugh at Naruto's expense, though he focused on Saya who smiled and knelt down.

"Yeah I am now Kurama" she said as Kurama yipped and hopped into her arms as Naruto picked up his sword and they walked to Naruto's room in the Takagi estate to play with Kurama for the rest of the day.
