Some time after the Nomu's attack, the students were allowed to go back inside to resume classes as normal...except for Mei. She was called to Principal Nezu's office to act as a witness as Elizabeth Octavius was interrogated by All-Might, Ryukyu, and Nezu.
Liz sat in a chair across from the three pros, tapping her finger in impatience, her metal tentacles hovering next to her with one of them spinning the metal canister from earlier in its claws.
"Can we hurry this up?" she impatiently asked, "I'm here on business."
"This will go as long as it needs to" Nezu calmly replied, bringing a stack of papers down from his face, "To begin with, I checked the hero files and there you do not seem to have a hero license on record, or any identification for that matter."
Liz shot Nezu an annoyed look. "I'm sorry, since when do I need a license to help people?"
"We didn't mean it like that" Ryukyu added in, "It's just that, frankly, we've never seen you before."
Liz grunted, un amused, before digging in a chest pocket on her suit, producing a blue card. "My ID lies elsewhere. Maybe this you will recognize."
She then showed them the card, and all three looked very surprised. It was an ID card with her face and name, but it was stamped under the global hero monitoring organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D.
"You really are here on business" All-Might said.
Liz nodded as she put the card back in the pocket before using one of her tentacles to project a holographic image showing a map with an orange dot on it. "Important business too, as I was sent in to handle this crash."
All-Might looked confused. "What do you mean, handle?"
"Meteors like this are never just meteors" Liz explained, "These particular ones carry symbiotes, which I'm sure you're familiar with."
Ryukyu's face turned grim. "All to well, I'm afraid."
Ryukyu had recently battled a symbiote called Riot, and, had Present Mic not stepped in, she would have been killed.
Liz continued. "I was sent in with a small team to gather whatever symbiotes we could, and we got most of them," here, she held up the metal canister as proof, "However, we were almost done when two Nomus attacked. We killed one, but the second one was to powerful and my shock gauntlet was damaged, so we had to fall back."
All-Might quickly put the pieces together, "And that's why you broke into the Development Studio. You needed to fix that gauntlet."
"It was our only chance of stopping the creature. I didn't think anyone was there at the time so I decided to let myself in. Sorry about the inconvenience."
Nezu chuckled. "Well, I suppose I can overlook it this one time, since you did successfully stop the creature. But tell me, where is the rest of your team?"
"I had them return to base to drop off the symbiotes they had collected." Liz explained, "I kept mine to lure the Nomu out. My team should be meeting up with me shortly so we can recover the remaining ones."
"How many escaped?" Ryukyu asked.
Liz thought for a moment. "I only saw one, but that doesn't mean others got out unnoticed."
Suddenly, a thudding sound came from the window, and everyone looked over to see a web of some sort hit the window before a very familiar, red and blue hero appeared, clinging to the window, a silver tablet in his hand. Liz smiled and waved at the newcomer.
"He's with me." she explained, "I'm sure you all are familiar with the one and only Spider-Man."
All-Might didn't look worried. "That's one of the heroes from America. I remember seeing him in the news...quite a lot, actually."
A few minutes later, Spider-Man sat in the office next to Liz.
"Ms. Octavius here has informed us of your mission" Nezu told him, "You are hunting symbiotes?"
Spider-Man nodded. "Me, her, and Venom were sent. I'm actually surprised you guys weren't informed."
"We had...other issues." All-Might replied, "But if you need any help, we'll be happy to assist."
"Thank you" Liz said before looking around, suddenly confused, " Where exactly is Venom, anyways?"
"Waiting outside" Spider-Man casually replied, "Said he doesn't want to scare any of the kids."
Liz shrugged. "Understandable. Have you guys found the other symbiotes yet?"
Spider-Man showed her the tablet. "Yeah. The good news is there's only two and we've found one. Bad news...you're not gonna like where it is."
Liz studied the screen before her eyes narrowed in concern, her goggle lenses mimicking the same thing. "Isn' that where...?"
Spider-Man nodded. "Now we know why those Nomus attacked."
"What is it?" All-Might asked, looking over their shoulder at the screen.
Liz sighed. "We're going to have to take you up on that offer for help...looks like the League of Villains has gotten their hands on a symbiote."
...
Sure enough, at that moment, Twice and Spinner were struggling to carry a silver crate into the villain's hideout. The symbiote inside was constantly thrashing around, forcing both of the villains to carry the container at once, which became very awkward for the both of them as they struggled to not hit each other. Twice was even forced to create two copies of himself with his quirk to give more manpower.
"Good God" Spinner exclaimed, "This thing just refuses to keep still!"
Twice shot Spinner an irritated look, "Well, maybe if you hand't tried to hit it with your sword before putting it in the box, then maybe we wouldn't have this issue!"
Before Spinner could argue back, another voice stopped them. "Took you long enough."
Twice and Spinner looked to see their leader, Shigiraki, approach them. Himiko Toga stood nearby with her usual, maniacal look. A third figure stood hidden in the shadows behind them.
"Yeah" Twice said, patting the container, "But it's a wild one"
Shigiraki turned back to the hidden figure. "Do you trust our capabilities now?"
The figure emerged from the shadows to reveal Overhaul, who's face remained unchanging as he replied. "I trust you enough to go through with our agreement. Remember, I get one of the escaped symbiotes, and you get the other one."
"We'll keep this one" Shigiraki bluntly said, gesturing to the container, "But it shouldn't take long to find the other one, especially with our help from overseas."
Overhaul raised his eyebrow in interest. "Oh?"
As if on cue, two figure dropped down from above, one wearing a brown pilot suit and a massive set of mechanical wings, the other wearing a dark green robotic suit that resembled a sort of...insect? No, it was a scorpion; the tail and stinger were a dead giveaway.
Shigiraki gestured to them and chuckled. "I'm sure you're familiar with two of America's deadliest villains."
Overhaul simply nodded: Vulture and Scorpion were very familiar to him; the Yakuza he led had worked with villains like Vulture in the past.
Vulture walked up and patted Overhaul on the shoulder. "What's up, Doc?"
Overhaul narrowed his eyes. "Don't touch me."
Vulture simply laughed a bit before looking to Shigiraki. "You better be paying me what you promised."
"You will get what's promised" Shigiraki said, "AFTER you get us the other symbiote."
Scorpion's claws clacked in anticipation. "Oh, don't worry. You'll get your prize."
"I hope so. do what you need to?"
Vulture nodded before raising his wings and flying off, through an opening in the ceiling. Scorpion jumped off after him with remarkable speed.
Overhaul looked back to Shigiraki. "Don't disappoint me."
He then walked off, in which Spinner adjusted his grip on the container. "So, what do we do with this one?"
Shigiraki walked over to the container and hit a button, opening the metal covering but leaving the a glass window for him to see the writing alien entity inside, its coloration one of deep red and black.
Toga's eyes lit up as she looked inside the container as well. "It's beautiful..."
"Why, because it looks like blood?" Spinner retorted. Toga shot him an annoyed look. Shigiraki ignored this, though, as he kept studying the symbiote. Suddenly, he noticed that it seemed to be leaning a certain direction. Curious, he then looked in that same direction to see the symbiote was somehow attracted towards Toga. Suddenly, he smiled under his hand-mask as a sinister plan came to his mind.
Toga noticed Shigiraki's looked and grew a bit wary. "What is it?"
Shigiraki let out a devilish laugh, "I think we just found ourselves a suitable candidate."
Twice looked confused. "For what?"
In answer, Shigiraki put his hand on the container, using his quirk to disintegrate it.
Twice looked surprised. "Wait, what are you...?!"
He had no chance to finish the question as the symbiote burst from the broken container, immediately latching onto Toga, who screamed in terror as the alien wrapped itself around her, turning her skin and outfit a deep red color with black veins running all over. The other villains watched, disturbed by what they saw. Shigiraki, however, retained his mad grin. After a few moments, Toga fell to her hands and knees as the bond was complete. When she looked up, her eyes were pure white and her teeth were insanely sharp.
She looked at the villains for a few moments before letting out a wicked chuckle and then speaking with what sounded like two voices at once. "Thanks for the assist."
"How would you like to go on a hunt?" Shigiraki asked.
Toga's grin grew wider at the thought of a hunt. "Who's the prey?"
The Vulture used is the MCU design, if you were wondering.
Let me know what you think so far!
