Lucy went home and after having a good night sleep, she still couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened. She found the whole thing ridiculous and even stopped for a moment to try to understand why and how many girls probably felt for his facade. He was exactly the kind of guy that she hated so much. She hated guys who tricked girls into believing that they were some kind of princes when, in reality, it was too far from it. She tried to think about something else when she suddenly heard someone knock at her door. She opened it and was greeted by Levy.

"Hey! What's with the long face again? Are you tired already?"

"No, I was just…"

"Nevermind that, how about we go out?"

"No way, I have a lot of stuff to do."

"Like what? It was the first day of school, do you really want me to believe that you're busy?"

"I have other things to do besides school, you know?"

"Stop lying to me, Lu-chan. You have nothing better to do right now." she grabbed her friend's arms, "You're going to a party with me."

"What? Since when do you like parties?"

"Since I know this is going to be a super cool party and a lot of people from Fairy Tail are going to be there. Didn't I tell you that this is our time to socialize and meet some cool people?"

"I'm not sure I wanna go, Levy…"

"Why not? Are you seriously going to let your best friend go alone?" she tried to make a sad face to convince Lucy.

"Ugh, okay. I'll go with you to that stupid party, but you have to promise that we won't come back home too late."

"Roger that!"

"Who's organizing the party and how did you learn about it anyway? We just got here."

"Oh, it's a guy from my class that I met today. He was inviting everyone and I figured it was a good idea to go, since we don't really know anyone here." she smiled and grabbed her stuff, "I'll go home to get ready. I'll send you the address."

After a few hours passed, Lucy was getting ready for the party. She tried not to dress anything too extra, so she just grabbed a white tank top and a pair of jeans with a few accessories. She grabbed a black leather jacket that she loved to wear and did the final touches to her hair. After getting ready, she got a call from Levy and met her outside the apartment where the party was happening.

"I was starting to think you wouldn't come."

"I'm not THAT late." she smiled.

"Are you excited?"

"Not really, you know I don't like parties that much."

"Well, me neither, but we're here to meet people."

When they entered his apartment, Lucy could already smell the alcohol in the air and the loud music. Everyone was having a good time dancing and drinking too much for their own good.

"Wow, I already hate it here."

"It's a party, Lucy. What did you expect? We should probably try to enjoy it as well."

"I don't think that's such a good idea. Since when do we even drink? We'll be making a fool of ourselves if we even try."

"Well, look around you. Everyone's crazy, so I don't think they'd notice."

They tried to walk in the room where everyone was dancing and not paying attention to anything else. Lucy didn't like parties for that specific reason. People just seem to drink too much alcohol and forget about everything else, even their own sanity. She hated it, but she was trying not to think too much about it because of Levy. She didn't want her best friend to be alone. Levy suddenly stopped and Lucy looked at her with a confused expression, but when she looked in the same direction as her friend, she could understand what was happening.

"I can't believe this! What is he doing here?!" she asked while crossing her arms.

In the distance, they could see the tall black haired guy, Gajeel. It didn't take too long before Lucy could notice the guy that was with him. Natsu was right next to him and they were both laughing, even though he wasn't drinking anything. Lucy knew that it was all part of the act, he probably only did those things when they were alone.

"I think we should just ignore it, Levy. Let's go."

"No, I'm going to teach him a lesson this time!"

Lucy tried to stop her friend, but it was too late. She went straight to where they both were and spoke up for Gajeel to notice her presence. When he did, he stopped laughing and looked annoyed.

"Well, look who's here. What a surprise to see you, shorty."

"I am seriously going to hit you if you keep calling me that!"

"What did I say wrong? You are a short lady." he grinned, "I'm surprised to see that they let children hang around in this party."

"I'm not a child, you-"

"Hey, there's no need for this to start again. Let's calm down." Natsu spoke, while smiling and Lucy couldn't help but not fall for it.

"He's right, Levy, stop it." even though she didn't want to admit it, "Weren't you the one who wanted to have fun?"

Levy paused to think for a while and eventually turned around to walk away. Before Lucy could go after her friend, she was interrupted by a hand on her shoulder and immediately turned around to get away from him.

"Don't touch me. I'm leaving too."

"Hey, there's no need to be rude. I know we started off with the wrong foot, but I just wanna talk to you."

"And I don't want you to come near me, got it?"

"Why are you acting like that? I haven't done anything to you?"

"Excuse me?!"

Lucy wasn't sure why he was acting like that. He was nicer than before. He wasn't talking to her in the same tone as before and she was getting suspicious of his attitude. It's probably because of the fact that she knew his real personality and that whole nice attitude was just an act. She looked around and noticed that some people were looking at them, especially some girls.

"Oh, I see what's happening here. You're acting like that because the girls are watching us, right?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Have you been drinking? Maybe I should get you home."

"No, I'm perfectly fine. Thank you, but I'm not going to fall for that act."

"What act? I'm seriously trying to help you."

"Yeah, I'm sure you are." she smiled sarcastically, "Please, just stay away from me."

Before Lucy could leave, she felt his grip on her arm. She looked at him with a surprised look, not believing what he was doing. She tried to get away from him, but he tightened his grip and spoke on her ear, which made her a bit nervous.

"Listen, I don't know what you're trying to do here. If you keep it up and tell everyone about me, be sure that I'm going to find out whatever I can against you."

"Oh, really? What are you going to find, exactly? You don't even know my name."

"You'd be surprised how much I can find out about people."

"Are you seriously threatening me again? You're not very good at making a situation better for you."

"Why? Are you recording me again?"

Lucy didn't know what to answer. She wasn't, not this time. She regretted being too uncareful around him. She sighed and tried to calm down, even though he was too close for her to be able to think straight.

"You're an asshole, did you know that?"

"I've been told."

He smirked and before Lucy could say anything else, Levy came back and interrupted their talk. Lucy tried to get away from Natsu when he got distracted to avoid her friend looking at what was happening. She didn't want Levy to know about it and wanted to leave her out of it.

"Lu-chan, why did you stay here? I was waiting for you! Are you going to drink something or not?"

"Oh, would you like to drink with us?" Natsu asked.

Lucy looked at him not knowing how to react. She wasn't sure what he was trying to achieve with all that.

"I thought you didn't drink."

"Who told you that?" he smiled.

"Oh, who cares about that? Let's drink something, even if it has to be with this-" Levy looking at Gajeel and he was already waiting for her to say something offensive, "Nevermind. I'm in."

"Good. What about you?"

"Fine, whatever." she sighed and couldn't help but notice Natsu's smirk.

They went to a small counter where there were a lot of different drinks. They didn't choose a strong one, to Lucy's relief and they poured it on the glasses. Levy was the first one to try and by the look on her face, she didn't like it very much.

"Is that all you got, shorty? I thought you were stronger than that, but I see it was all talk." Gajeel laughed.

"Really? You think that was all I could drink? Think again!"

They were both on a competition, trying to see who could drink more and Lucy was trying to ignore it because she couldn't stop thinking about not wanting to be there. Natsu looked at her and noticed that she was too quiet and smiled while getting closer to her, so that Levy couldn't hear their conversation.

"Your friend is having a better time than you."

"I don't mind. She's the one who wanted to come, anyway."

"What about you? You don't like parties?"

"Why do you care? We're not talking."

"So cold!" he tried to look hurt, "I'm trying to be nice, but you're making it very difficult."

"That's a bold move after trying to threat me before."

"Let's just forget about that." he grabbed a glass and drank it all at once.

"I thought this wasn't part of your act." she leaned against her hand while looking at him.

"This what?"

"You, drinking. I thought you didn't want people to know."

"That's what you think? You got it all wrong, blondie." he smiled, "That's not the problem, I've attended parties ever since I got here."

"Don't call me that."

"What should I call you, then? You know my name, but I don't know yours. It seems a bit unfair."

"Why? So you can go ahead and try to find things about me?"

He smiled, "I'm not gonna do that. I was just trying to get on your skin. There's no need for bad blood between us, blon-" he noticed Lucy's stare, "Sorry. All I want is for you to not say anything about what you saw yesterday and we're cool."

"Really? Just like that? After everything you said before?" he nods, "And I'm supposed to believe you?"

"You believe whatever you want. I'm being honest here. We come to terms and everything is cool." he grabs another glass and raises it up in the air, "Do we have a deal?"

She looks at him for a little while before making a decision. She's not sure if she should agree with him, given that he doesn't know how serious he is or if he'll be in good terms after what happened, but she also doesn't know what might happen if she refuses. She simply grabs a glass of her own and hits it against his.

"Deal." she drinks it all, despite not liking the taste of it, "I still don't trust you, though."

"Fair enough." he raises his hands in defeat and smiles.

"Hey, Lu-chan! I think we should-" Levy loses her balance and almost hits the ground before Lucy's able to catch her, "Well, I think I hit my limit." she laughs with no control.

"Levy, are you drunk?"

"I told her not to drink too many. I knew that she wouldn't be able to handle it." Gajeel laughed in the back, "But damn, she's one stubborn short lady."

"I need to take her home." Lucy said, but was stopped by Natsu.

"Nah, Gajeel can take care of that. Why don't you stay a little longer?"

"Are you kidding? I'm not gonna leave her with-" she looked at Gajeel and he raised his eyebrow, "I'm sorry, but I don't know you guys. I can't leave her with him."

"Fine, then we'll all go." Natsu got up and was stopped by Lucy.

"No, we're able to walk home by ourselves. There's no need for you both to come with us."

"Really? Are you sure you can even walk with her like that? You can barely get a grip on her." he smirked, "We'll help you, Gajeel can carry her."

Lucy didn't know what else to say. She didn't completely trust Natsu or his friend, for that matter, but she knew that she would barely be able to carry Levy all by herself on the way home and could use some help. She didn't expect her friend to be like that, so she had no choice but to accept.

They barely said any words on the way to their apartments, even though Natsu tried to make small talk with Lucy for a few times and she just tried to ignore it. She wasn't so sure why he was so eager to help them when they didn't know each other, and given recent events, she wasn't sure if she could even trust Natsu.

After they arrived at Levy's apartment, Lucy tried to grab her with Gajeel's help. They entered and she told them to put her on the couch, but Gajeel suggested it was better to put her in bed, since she would probably fall asleep soon with all the dizziness in her head. Natsu tried to help them, but Lucy just raised her hand.

"It's fine, I got it."

"You can barely handle her weight." he playfully mocked her.

"I said it's fine. Just stay there and don't touch anything."

He did as she said and when they entered her room. He sat on the couch and waited. After just a few seconds, he looked around the apartment out of boredom and noticed something that interested his eye. Lucy's purse. He looked behind him to make sure that they were both still in Levy's room. He got up and walked slowly towards her purse. He looked inside, trying to find the thing he wanted so desperately to find. He threw whatever things he didn't care about to the side and smirked after finally finding what he was looking for.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Lucy screamed when she came back.

"Oh, me? Nothing, blondie." he smirked while turning around.

Lucy looked at his hand and saw what was on it. She wanted to scream again, but she just looked at Natsu with a furious expression and started walking towards him. Gajeel just stayed in the back and almost started laughing after realizing what was happening.

"Give it back!"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Natsu joked with a smile still on his face.

"My cell phone, that thing you have on your hand." she pointed at it, "Give it to me!"

"And what if I don't?"

"I'm gonna take it from you."

"Please, blondie," he chuckled, "You could never reach me, even if you tried."

She tried to grab her phone and Natsu raised his arm as high as he could so that she couldn't reach it. He was enjoying the whole situation since she was so desperate trying to get her phone back and he didn't even flinch. He looked down at her with a smirk on his face and after a few more attempts from Lucy, he eventually stopped and gave her the phone back.

"That was funny."

"You're a jerk!"

"I've been called worse. My mission is complete anyway."

"What mission?" she frowned and Natsu pointed at her phone so she would look and she did, "What did you- Did you just delete my recording?!"

"It wasn't hard, you should try getting a pin code next time." he joked around.

"I'm gonna go and leave you two at it, then." Gajeel laughed in the back and slowly made his way to the door.

"You're such an idiot! You have no right to go through my stuff, especially my phone!"

"Relax, blondie. I didn't see anything personal. I'm not interested in your private photos or anything." he chuckled, "All I wanted was to delete that stupid recording or any other evidence you have of me."

"Wait, did you- Did you plan all of this? Did you plan to try and talk to me at the party so that you could get an opportunity?"

"We all have our secret ways." he grinned.

"All this because of a stupid recording? Are you really that afraid that people find out that you're not as charming as they might think? Is that it? Especially all the girls who are after you?"

"I don't care about any of them. I told you that I don't deal well with people trying to test me, that's all." he walked closer to her and she tried to back away, but he continued, "Think about it, it's better this way. Now you're free, I won't have to do anything to you to make sure you don't expose me."

"You think I'm afraid of you?" she laughed.

"You should be." he walked closer to her again, "I'm not going to do anything to you, but if you keep this up, I won't promise anything."

"You're an idiot. You keep saying things like that to me as if you can scare me, but I won't fall for it."

"Don't be a fool, you're making things worse."

"Excuse me, but I think you should go. I don't want you to be near me again, just go away. I have to take care of Levy."

"Don't forget what I said, blondie. It'd be a shame to ruin such a beautiful face as yours." he smirked, "See you at school."

The next morning, Lucy had fallen asleep at Levy's house after being there all night to make sure that her friend was okay. When Levy woke up, she went to her living room and noticed that Lucy was sleeping on the couch and got confused. She approached her friend and tried to wake her up. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around to remember where she had fallen asleep last night.

"Did you sleep here?" Levy asked.

"Yeah, I feel asleep yesterday. I stayed here to make sure that you were okay and didn't need anything."

"Well, I barely remember what happened yesterday and my head hurts."

"Yeah, you drank a bit too much last night. I was actually surprised, to be honest."

"I think I overdid it a little bit."

"You think?" Lucy laughed.

"What happened? I only remember that pink haired guy and that gorilla helped me, but I don't remember much after falling asleep."

"Oh, you don't need to know. Trust me."

"Seriously? I'm your best friend, I demand to know everything. Did something interesting happen that I need to know about?" she got closer to her friend and playfully smiled.

Lucy sighed and decided to tell Levy everything. About everything that had happened ever since the first day of school. She looked at Levy's face after revealing what she had seen and discovered about Natsu and she couldn't help but laugh at her friend's reaction. She told her about everything that had happened last night and Levy was speechless.

"Wow, he sure is something. I don't know if I would've reacted the same way you did. I would probably punch him in the face if he ever did that."

"Believe me, that's exactly what I wanted to do. Ugh, I just can't stand him!"

"Well, call me crazy, but I actually think he might like you."

"What?! Did you actually listen to a word I just said?"

"Maybe he thought you were cute and wanted to know you better." she laughed, "I can't wait to see the girls face when they find out how he really is."

"What are you talking about?"

"We're going to try and expose him, right? That's the least we can do for him acting like that."

"No, you have to keep this between us. We can't tell anyone, I'll only make things worse and I don't want that guy anywhere near me ever again. I want to be away from him as possible and the best way to do that is to ignore him and pretend he doesn't exist."

She had no idea how she would do it, since they were in the same school. The only thing she wanted was to have a normal day without having to worry about a random guy she had just met. She didn't want to think about Natsu anymore. She wanted to enjoy her year without having to worry about anything. All she wanted was to enjoy her days without having to worry about Natsu Dragneel.
