Chapter 2: An Unplanned Surprise
Present Time
Blake was now heading towards the massive library in Beacon University as she just got finished with one of her literature classes learning about different author's styles. It had been over 13 years since she's seen her crush and childhood friend. That doesn't mean that they kept in contact frequently, they would text each other and have video calls whenever they could. In honestly, she missed Ruben's presence even after 14 years since she last saw him as a child when they played in the park.
'I wish I could see him one more time.' She sighed softly to herself as she held her books in her arms tightly as she made her way to the entrance of the library.
The day had been quite boring if Blake was honest with herself, apart from the fact she was able to spend her lunch with her friends she made at the university. Those people included her best friend Weiss Schnee, Yang Xio-Long, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. She had met them at the induction of the University and went on a night out with them all.
"Ahh finally, I made it" she smiled happily as she walked into the library building and couldn't help but marvel at the sight of the library.
It was humongous and literally filled with books of every genre possible, her heart sang with glee as she saw the rows and rows of books stacked around the largely modern library. She walked down one of the many aisles of the place as she let her fingers run across the spines of the books on the shelves.
The cat faunus was wondering what her crush was doing at this point of time and whether he was in classes as she made her to her favorite secluded spot in the library that no one knew. She looked at her scroll and sent him a message and asking how his day was so far before she put her scroll down and opened the page of her book she was asked to read.
Her scroll buzzed as she gave a quick glance to her scroll and saw the icon of the app with the name of the message 'Silver Eyed Boy' and let out a quiet chuckle at the nickname she gave to him.
Silver Eyed Boy 3: nothing much, just finished doing some errands and getting ready to go out tonight, how about yourself.
You: Oh, you're going out? What are you planning to do? I'm just getting some chapters in for my classes before going out with the girls and Ren.

Ruben sighed softly as he just finished his daily 2-hour workout which was equivalent to a spartan training as he wanted to keep his physique up in shape. He was training Jaune Arc with getting comfortable in the gym and giving him beginner workouts to get him into it before moving up.
Now, you must be wondering if Ruben Rose the small and scrawny kid had changed? Ruben had a god of a transformation over the past few years and was gifted with the most amazing changes from his teenager years to almost a young adult.
Where he used to be 5ft 4 in high school and as a child he stood a bit shorter than the average at the height of 3ft.1 inches. He weighed about 52kg in his last year of middle school, all sudden over the summer of his junior year in high school he had one hell of a growth spurt and grew up to 5ft9. He had developed some areas of muscle and definition and his limbs grew a bit longer and his voice slowly started to change. It surprised quite a lot of people and his friends when he came back to the school. All the girls were crushing over him now and so he took that time between junior year to senior year to workout out constantly but started off slowly and the increased his workouts.
By senior year Ruben had reached a mega height of 6ft6 and he weighed about 188lbs, and he was shredded. Not shredded or jacked to the point where it looked sickening but at the point where he looked like a Greek god and crafted by the gods themselves. He had a very solid and sculptured 8 pack, his muscles were so defined and would show veins but not too much, his jawline was sharper than a deadly katana and could cut through everything but not to the point it was ridiculous, he had such a deep V-line where you could see the veins before they were covered to his nether regions, his chest was chiseled and looked like it could hold an anvil, his arms were strong and showed true power as he flexed them, his back was ripped as well as it showed true definition of different muscles, broad long shoulders that could carry the world, his long defined legs and powerful thighs, his butt made girls jealous of how it looked and lastly he was seriously packing.
Ruben had grown in one summer into a full-on model and a lot of girls thought he was the definition of 'being sculpted by the gods' and boy were they right. He kept up with his judo, karate classes and spent a lot of time training MMA and boxing to stay in peak condition. During his HS year he was the captain of the Soccer/football first team and track and field and then also was a regular starter in the basketball team. He was a force to be reckoned with as people called him 'The Wall' for excelling his goalkeeping and CB position in football and in basketball he was the scariest person to defend or come up against.
Ruben had taken his HS soccer team to the final of the Anima tournament after putting up impressive displays. Having put up as the main GK he made 10 clean sheets during that tournament. He also made 2 consecutive different penalty shootout saves to send his team to the finals. He was asked to be in defense for the final and put up the most incredible stats over the final even bagging the equalizer to send it into a penalty shootout. Being the last person to take the penalty to win the cup for the first time ever for the school.
Commentators for the final of the Anima Continent Tournament
"Here steps up Ruben Rose. The last penalty shooter for Wind path High School"
"He's been really impressive in this tournament especially since it's the first time ever for Wind path High school to ever participate in this years Anima Continent Tournament and even make it to the final, Marcus!
"Indeed, and what a player this Rose is. Absolutely a future star if he continues to grow and learn. He has made a massive impact on the stage as a GK and a defender."
Ruben makes his way to the penalty spot as he places the ball down on the marker before looking around seeing thousands of people from Wind Path support their team and closed his eyes before stepping back. He calmed his nerves and thought of one thing 'Blake'.
The referee blew his whistle to indicate that he could move, and everyone went quiet except for the other supporters booing and shouting. The whole of Wind path was watching whether it was from the stream, tv or being at the largely populated stadium in Argus. He moved and getting closer to the ball and stared down the goalkeeper and planted his left foot down and bringing his right foot back before swinging it with the forward momentum as he strikers the center of the ball.
"Ruben makes the run up to the ball.."
The ball makes contact with his foot as he strikes it, and he watches the ball speed up as the goalkeeper dives in the right direction. The hand stretching all it can to make a tiny touch but that sends the ball to the inside of the post and finding the right-side netting as the goalkeeper falls and looks back to see that the ball made it in.
The crowd goes while and start cheering and shouting meanwhile the team started rushing towards Ruben jumping and crying happily as the crowded around him and jumped onto him.
"AND HE SCORES! RUBEN ROSE AKA THE WALL, A DEFENDER AND GOALKEEPER FOR WIND PATH HIGH SCHOOL HAS JUST SCORED THE PENATLY TO SECURE THE WIN!"
"JAMES I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! WIND PATH HIGH SCHOOL HAS JUST WON THE ANIMA CONTINENT TOURNAMENT! FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!"
The commentator booth was shouting in disbelief and celebrating the amazing performance for the whole team and the people of Wind Path were sobbing happily. The team celebrated with the massive silverware trophy as they danced around the pitch before heading into the changing rooms and celebrating even more by shaking champagne and pouring onto each other.
Ruben had also helped his team win the state championship for basketball with the help of his teammates as they slaughtered teams left, right and center. The team mentality with him in it was insane.
Ruben sighed happily as he remembered the photos he took and the social media page he had. The amount of recognition he got from the school and people in the town, which then led him to be greeted by Ozpin and Salem themselves as they were watching the match live. They had been keeping an eye on him for awhile ever since Qrow and Summer spoke about their son. However, he never told his childhood best friends such as Blake and Weiss about him attending Beacon University like them as he wanted to surprise them. He told them that he was staying in Mistral and going to Argus University, and they were sad and pouting but another strange thing he did was stop sending pictures of himself often or even video calls as he didn't want to notice his change.
"Come on Jaune, one more set and then were done for today and can go stretch before we head out tonight" he smiled softly noticing the wincing that Jaune made.
"Alrighttt, alright one last set" He panted out loud as he did his best to the exercise before collapsing on the floor and leaning against the bench.
"Good job man! You're progressing a lot; we'll take a break for the rest of the week alright? But now we can get ready for tonight" Jaune looked at his friend and smiled as they made their way back to their accommodation area and to their own rooms.
"That was a hard workout, fuck" Ruben plopped onto his bed before heading into his en-suite toilet that had a shower and washed himself.
Back with Blake
Blake had walked back to the cafeteria to meet with her friends and was a little bit late than her usual time which caused her friends to become concerned, but Weiss told them that she would be coming. Weiss kept her gaze on the entrance door to the cafeteria waiting for her bestie to come through as she listened into the crazy conversation that Nora was telling.
"ONCE, I HAD EATEN 20 BURGERS AND 20 STACKS OF PANCAKES!" Nora exclaimed loudly as she ate some of the food she had gotten as Ren tried to calm her down but monotonously corrected his girlfriend.
"She had 3 burgers and 5 pancakes" he said sighing for the hundredth time as he watched his sugar crazed girlfriend out at him.
"Ignore that pink sloth" she huffed as she glared at him, and he just stared back at her. She saw the slightest smirk on his lips and pouted harder and turned away from him to continue to talk to Yang and Pyrrha.
Blake entered the cafeteria and Weiss gaze immediately shot upwards as she waved her hand at her best friend and the cat faunus gave her a warm smile. She made her way over to the open space and plopped down with her sushi in hand.
"Hey guys, sorry I was late. I had to get some reading done for class and write a essay on the first couple chapters, ugh" Blake sighed as she used her chopstick to eat her food.
"No worries KITTYYY" Yang smirked and stuck her tongue out at her friend, but everyone knew she had a crush on Blake, but they just let the course do its own job. Blake only shook her head at the girl's antics before talking to Weiss.
"Pyrrha, where's your crush today? Wasn't he meant to be with us about nowww~" Nora's voice sang out loud as she laughed at the girl who was blushing and poking her food with a fork.
"He was working out with a new friend of his, apparently he felt subconscious about himself so one of his dorm friends said he'll help him out. I assume today he was with him at the gym facility." She replied quietly after regaining her composure.
"Huh? I think I saw him in the gym when I passed by after my courses. He was with someone who had red hair I think?" Yang scratched her chin for a second and nodded happily as she took a large bite out of her sandwich. Both Weiss and Blake looked at each other asking 'could it be him?' but then concluded with a shake of the head.
"Ooooh yeah, let me tell you this. That guy was so fit and attractive. Like Oum DAMN he was like a complete god of a body sculpted by the heaven's themselves" she thought dreamily and licking her lips together as she thought of the guy helping Jaune. "Like this guy was a giant of a person and lord he took of his tank top and oh my gawd he had a 8 pack and it was chiseled" She had some drool come out before feeling a napkin tossed at her face and snapped back into reality.
They laughed at each other as they continued to talk about classes and things, they all got up too and the plans for going out. There was a social night that they all decided to go to together and it was meant to be paired up with another group and they had to meet up at the clubs. So, when it reached 5:30pm for the group they all decided to meet in the kitchen dorm or common room to have some drinks before heading out as a group to the clubs.
In the Headmaster's office
Ozpin watched from his tower as the students of Beacon were walking around and talking to each other as he sipped on his coffee. His wife walked behind him wrapping her slender arms around him and resting her chin on his shoulder. They stood there soundly and happily before she moved away, she kissed him on the cheek.
"Are you okay my love?" the soft velvety voice of Salem spoke out towards the headmaster as he turned around and smiled softly as he sipped his coffee causing her to roll her eyes.
"I'm doing just fine my dear. I am merely just hoping Ruben comes in to give me his decision about being captain for the football team." He sighed softly. He knew this was a lot to ask because he was admitted a year early than he should have been and on top of that his academics was incredible, and he didn't realize it either.
Ozpin needed this type of mentality for the team and Ruben was the right person for it. He shown true leadership skills, tactical mind and giving orders on the field and always supporting his teammates even if they made a mistake. He was the perfect candidate to bring this team to glory.
"Let the child live Ozpin. He's still young and needs some time to relax before going back into that mindset. Don't rush him" She walked up to him taking his hands into hers and drawing circles with her finger in his palm.
"I know, I knowww" he groaned out as she stole his coffee and ran off giggling like a mad woman as she stuck her tongue out at him.
"YOU COME BACK MISSUSSSSS" he roared out as he chased his wife out the office for his favorite mug.
The girls were all getting ready for their night out and the requirement for tonight's outfit that was sent to everyone who was in a social club was cheerleaders' outfit or even sport's outfit and for the men's it was much the same but more or less gym clothes were allowed too.
Blake was looking into the mirror as her ears twitched softly as she put on some makeup on herself to make her features stand out a bit more and those golden ambered eyes to shine. She smiled as she saw the piercings in one of her cat ears and put her volleyball shorts on and twirled around and smacked her bellabooty and laughed at her silliness. She then put on her sport's shirt that showed off her extremely nice bust and then lastly put on some lipstick on.
Pretty much all the other girls were in the same outfit as they all met up at the volleyball tryouts and all made it out on the team. Pyrrha and Yang looked extremely sexy as most people would agree. With Yang's large bust and Pyrrha just a bit smaller than Yang's they were arguably the queens of Beacon so far. Weiss was beautiful and stunning as well with a reasonable sized breasts not that she cared. She was very picky sometimes and then lastly Blake and Nora had a similar sized bust but what they shared was both having a thick booty.
Ren was a built person, he was tall (5'10) but he wasn't lanky like Jaune. Instead, he had some definition in muscle in his arms and legs. He was a quiet person, but he deeply cared for his friends but also more importantly his girlfriend Nora.
Jaune stood at 6ft3, and he was lanky as you can get, not that he had muscle he sure did but it wasn't developed as much as most of these other athletes hence why he asked Ruben to help with training him. He was truly grateful for the help but couldn't help but groan when he did a workout with his new friend and felt like throwing up at every step, but Ruben noticed and created a program built for him and helped.
They all got out their red cups and started pouring in the favorite drinks into the cup as they listened to music and play drinking games as they waited for some other people before going to the clubs and having a good time. Weiss sighed softly and looked down at her cup as she swirled her cup with the alcohol causing Blake to raise an eyebrow.
"Weiss? What's the matter?" Blake asked moving to sit next to her friend and put an arm around her.
"I miss him..." she whispered softly as she looked like she was going to cry and Blake shook her head and gave her a hug.
"You miss who?" Blake whispered as she didn't want to cause any attention to everyone else as they were doing their own things.
"Ruben..I wonder how he is. I mean I haven't been able to see him. We haven't gotten a picture of him for over 2 years." She looked up at the cat faunus with tears at the brink.
"I'm sure he's safe Weiss. He's probably out with his friends tonight, like us. Actually, he texted me earlier today saying that he was going out" that seemed to ease her friend but inside she felt the same. The two of them haven't been able to see their childhood friend and they greatly missed his presence. His protectiveness and how he would always sense when one of them was down and do everything to make them feel better.
"Okay, I just want to be able to hug him again. Like we used too" she finished off her drinking as she wiped her lips with her hand solemnly.
Ruben was getting ready for the night out with his team and friends, Jaune had already gone to his friends' group. He already told Jaune that they'll meet up at the clubs or bars one way or the other. He had his workout shorts on and look in the mirror as he traced the scars on his left side of his ribs, he looked at the rose tattoo with the vines twisting and turning following the structure of his ribs as it was done beautifully. He also had massive traditional tattoo done on his right arm. He put on his cologne which was a rich atlas brand that had intense flavor and did his hair up before checking his trimmed-out beard he got done today.
"Alright, it's time to go and have fun tonight" he smiled before moving into the common room of his dorm and drank with some of the people and laughing along with them. Some of the girls in his dorm were eyeing him carefully as he looked cleaned up even though he was wearing red gym shorts, a simple vest on which outlined his sculptured body.
Jessica, Elina, and their friend Hailey were blushing madly and staring at the young Ruben as he made his way towards the table to pick out a drink. They watched the way his muscles moved and contracted with every movement, the vision of seeing his veins surface and just the incredibly sexy build this person had. In fact, they believe that this was the devil and an angel but simply staring at him.
"Oum. I want him grrr" Jessica let a little growl out her throat as she stared intensely at his abs being pressed against his vest, her tail wagging a bit.
"Me too. Count me in love" Elina responded as she bit her lip and watched the body move as she took a sip out of her cup.
Hailey said nothing because she was trying to process what was happening to her and just simply admire the view ahead of her. The lioness ears were perked up and she could feel her core heat as she stared at Ruben more and more.
"Hmmm. I should start to make my way to the club" He checked his watch before going to his room and putting on a white diamond Cuban chain around his neck and made his way down to the bullheads to get into town.
The two separate groups were headed into town as Blake, Weiss and Ruben had missed each other only just by a second because one of the girls were busy with another girl by making out on the table. Yes, it was Yang and a girl named Arslan and they were told off as they didn't want to be late.
Vale's night out was lively and loud where students of Beacon were able to relax and just enjoy the nightlife whether it was going to a restaurant with their partners or friends, going to the clubs with groups and meeting new people or with your social team. It was a night to let everything go and just sit back and even sometimes the professors would be there and have a fun time. That was what Glynda was doing with her fellow professors Peach, Oobleck and even Salem and Ozpin decided to go with them.
The clubs were pumping loudly with the music and lights shooting into the sky to show that the party was here. There were a couple clubs in Vale such as 'Roses and Thorns' which was a large club that was inside and had an outside floor with a DJ and lights. Then there was the Queen Nevermore which was the biggest and most popular club in Vale, it was honestly the most successful club that had 7 different rooms for different genres, and they weren't small places in face they were large places for people to come and party in and lastly had an outside terrace. The other two clubs were Roman's Revolution which was a modern type of club and the last one was Abyss. Abyss was a gay bar and club, but it was heavily populated because a lot of people enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and how friendly it was to people. Another good place to go for drinks or a bar was Junior's which was called 'Hidden' a simple but popular bar that a lot of people love to go too.
Ruben arrived as he checked his scroll when he felt it vibrate when he was on the bullhead but talking to other people. He clicked on the text from his teammate as it told him which club they were linked with tonight's night.
Hazel: Yooooo, Rose! We are with the volleyball team tonight! Also, here's your vip/platinum pass! Can't wait for the season to start. (P.S WE ARE ALL MEETING AT ROSES AND THORNS)
Ruben: Cheerios! I'll see you soon and thank's for the head's up.
He checked the attachment on the text and the uploaded onto his scroll as it appeared on his smart watch and he smiled pocketing his scroll away. He made his way towards 'Roses and Thorns' which was where the rendezvous point was for both teams to meet. He was nervous but also excited as he got lots of whistles and girls even men asking for his number or asking if he was single. He would just laugh it off and compliment them back and sometimes take a photo with some people if they recognized him.
The other group shortly arrived 10 minutes later when Ruben landed, and they were dancing and singing and being loud with each other. They were taking pictures and stumbling together but laughing it off. A lot of people were jealous on how this group was so well put together.
Pyrrha felt her scroll buzz and checked the message as everyone turned around to her and looked at her curiously before she put it away as she had a small red and pink tint on her cheeks.
"What was that all about Pyr" Yang smirked as she was a little bit tipsy, but they were used to it except Arslan.
"Oh! We are with the football society tonight and being partnered with who ever we chose when we get there. They told us to meet at Roses and Thorns and they nodded happily before continuing their journey.
'I hope there are attractive guys tonight' Pyrrha, Weiss, Blake, Yang and Arslan thought when they were walking down as they heard other groups having a good time and singing along before reaching the place.
At the Roses and Thorns Club
The club owners were more than happy to have the start of the social night at their place and made sure that it was ready for the thousands of students to come in here tonight and have a good time. They set up all the different floors ready for the students and made sure they put different genres on at each area for them to enjoy and got all the bars stocked up with drinks and flayers of discounts for the night.
They even got their VIP rooms ready for the captains of each sport and made sure the dancefloor for them were ready and cleaned up. Each had their own section with their team sport and could bring some friends in, it had many securities near the entrance and around the place incase anything happened during the night. The owner could hear from his office and looked outside to see the Beacon students dressed up for their team sports. She had a small smile on her face as she watched the doors open and people flooding into the place and getting ID checked before getting in.
"I can't wait to see him again, Qrow" Summer replied looking at his husband as she leaned against him.
"No kiddin, last I ever heard was that he was whisked up by Ozpin." Qrow replied sighing softly holding his wife.
"Do you think he'll forgive us for moving away and sending him to boarding school?" She looked up at him with her silver eyes searching for answers.
"He'll understand and it's not like we called him and visited him as much as possible. It's quite expensive to get to him daily but were close again." He looked down at his wife placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
"I guess that's true. Well shall we greet the guests?" She asked moving away and walking towards the door as she held out her hand.
All he did was grinned and made his way to his wife's freehand and took his glass down with him to meet some of teams before they let havoc wreck in the night.
Ruben had arrived with a couple of his friends such as Sun, Sage, Yatsuhashi, Fox and Mercury at the Roses and Thorns entrance. Yatshushi was slightly taller than Ruben himself by two inches they were both regarded the groups bodyguards due to their heights and mass. The people at the front who were checking the student's ID's and making them stand at the 'x' mark so that the camera can make sure that it wasn't fake before allowing entrance stared at the group. The group was intimidating especially with literally two giants and one of them looking like an absolute god.
"Can I see your ID and please and put your belongings in this basket so we can check before you go in" the staff asked Ruben as she was blushing and looking at him and admiring his looks and his sculptured body through his shirt.
"Of course! Here you go" The redhaired smiled at the girl as he put his wallet, scroll and his cigarettes in the basket before standing at the spot as she readjusted the camera to take a photo.
"Guys, get all your stuff into the basket's and then we can make our way to see the rest of your friends Yatsu and Fox. Apparently, they want to meet me but why?" Looking back to his friends and they just smiled and shrugged their shoulders as he let out a huff.
"Coco and Velvet have been wondering who we have been hanging out a lot with recently ever since you came to Beacon and the team, I guess" Yatsu spoke with his deep bass voice and smiled at his fellow giant friend.
"I guess that makes sense now, eh? I would probably ask the same thing" The young redhaired asked as he smiled at the girl before picking his stuff up and putting them back in and showing his VIP ticket.
He could hear Mercury being sassy and laughed at Sun the monkey faunus getting told to leave his snack behind and him whining like a baby.
"Oi, Sun! I'll buy you a whole basket the next day for you. You're a big baby" Ruben replied with his deep bass rich voice and made Sun pout ever harder and pointing a finger at the giant.
"YOU BETTER! I WANT THEM" Sun glared at the boy and laughed as they all went in the club and seeing the large room where the was a famous Vale DJ in the background waiting to come on.
They made their way to the football society as they met with the rest of the group and do all their manly greetings and got drinks for all the lads. The music was pumping loudly, and the lights were hypnotic as they looked around to see the flashing lights, neon lights and smoke at the stage. The group split up to get more drinks and some of them entering the VIP area and others going to the dancefloor dancing with their drinks and socialising with other teams.
"YOOO, Red! You are coming with me? Right?" Hazel asked as he made his way to the VIP section and nodded following him behind and looking around at the different girls and groups at the dancefloor.
The girls had finally made their way to the club and waited out in the line for about 15 minutes since there was a lot of people coming to this place. They kept talking and leaning on each other to keep them warm before individually going to a different line for their security check and ID's.
"Enjoy your night girls!" the staff as she watched them wave back and enter the club. Her mind was full of the redhaired boy who walked in earlier on.
The girls could hear the music playing loudly and the sound of people dancing and singing along on the dancefloor and the music playing through their chest as it was vibrating against the walls. Weiss and Blake just looked around and saw the various sports teams and as noticed someone tall walking to the VIP section and then seeing the rest of their in a corner.
"GIRLLLLS! YOU MADE IT WOooooOOOO" The captain of the team slurred out as she pulled away from her friends and smiled at the new members of the team.
"Hey coco!" the girls replied in unison and crowded around their table as they interacted with each other and taking photos posting it on their social media stories.
The club was literally living up to its name and people were having fun tonight. Seeing the young students having a good time and dancing around with other people and drinking always made the older couple smile a lot. It proved to them that it was success of a move to pursue together and especially their son could come to it but first they had to meet him after being away for a year. The last thing they heard from him came from Ozpin himself as he came back from his trip to Mistral but only told them that Ruben was focusing on sports and his academics. What they didn't know was the sudden change from their son glow up and they were in for a shock, in fact everyone was in for a shock.
Music blasting loudly and many boys with their shirts off showing off their bodies and others were flirting with whoever and they laughed. The couple made their way to the VIP area to meet with the other professors and friends in Beacon.
"Nice to see you all here" Summer spoke up as she nursed her drink as the others smiled and hugged each other.
"It's been a while since we all went on a night out together, hasn't it?" Glynda spoke up sporting her track and field outfit and the others wearing different sports and showing off their impressive figure.
"Well, we decided since this was always our favourite night out that we should join the students and just have fun once in a while" Ozpin spoke up as he took a sip of his expresso martini. This caused Qrow to raise any eyebrow at his comment but before he could speak up Salem smiled.
"Actually, I dragged him with me." She smirked causing the headmaster to shake his head and smile fondly at his wife.

All the staff turned their attention to the two male's walking towards the captain's VIP table where it had magnum sized bottles of whiskey, vodka, and champagne in ice buckets.
"I think I'm going to accept the captain role. I don't know why it took me a while to think about it, but I decided I want to help this team." Ruben spoke confidently as Hazel nodded in response.
"We've always needed that type of leadership in our team. It's a struggle but don't get me wrong we did great last season, but we were short from all our goals. "He groaned out remembering they got knocked out early in the competition and missed out by two points for the league title. Ruben could only nod and put an arm around his teammate and say that we will get it this season.
"Who is that hunk of a man?" Glynda spoke up quietly causing Ozpin and his wife chuckle behind their hand or drinks as Qrow, Summer and Peach could only agree with the question.
"That my friends is the newest member of the football team. I recruited him to come to Beacon. That's your son Qrow and Summer." He turned to look at the couple and could only see the faces of disbelief and shock.
"THAT'S! OUR LITTLE RUBEN?" screeched out Summer as she tried to process it. Meanwhile Peach and Glynda had their jaw open and didn't know it was their child. He was handsome, nonetheless.
"But? How?" Qrow asked as he was rendered speechlessly
"He actually told me not to tell anyone that knows of him and take any photos or show. He wanted it to be a surprise for his parents and someone who he was fond too as well." The man smirked behind his glass and laughed at their reactions.
"Who could you possibly mean?" Summer questioned her friend and saw the glint in his eyes and smiled.
"Ms Belladonna" this caused the couple to gasp and realize something. Both parties still knew about the massive crush between the two of them and before they had left the two young people gave each other a kiss on the cheek before they left. Although Kali expressed that Blake always talked to Ruben and missed him a lot and they said the same towards Kali.
"She's here? In this place?" they asked excitedly wanting to know what was going to happen if they were to walk into each other.
"Indeed, she is studying literature and wanting to become a author as well. But if you want, I could grab Ruben to come talk to his parents again. I'm sure he wants to see how you are doing."

Weiss and Blake went onto the dancefloor as they followed behind Yang and Arslan as the rest of the volleyball team went. They were dancing happily and some of the teams were chatting up with other teams and flirting with some attractive guys. Pyrrha had gone off with Coco to the VIP section and would bring them later.

Jaune ended up finding the group and waved at the three people who were just standing there and bobbing the heads up and sometimes joining in on the anthems. Blake sighed internally and wished she was back at her dorm just reading until she passed out. She waved at Velvet as the rabbit faunus made her way over dragging two people with her. She looked up and saw a tall person and then a redhaired and sighed softly.
"Hey Blake! Where's Coco?" Velvet asked as she hugged her friend and introduced the two males to her, and she gave them a friendly 'hi'.
"Oh, Coco just went to the VIP section but said she'll be back in a second." Blake smiled softly as she was a little bit tipsy from drinking but not too much, so she didn't lose control.
"Ohhh! Hey, isn't that where you captain was going too as well?" she looked at Yatsu and he nodded gently and smiled back.
"That's right, I think you'll see him soon enough. I'm telling he's quite a looker and you can't miss it that's for sure." He replied loud enough for her to hear and Blake to catch on which caused Velvet eye to twitch.

Ruben was walking with these two girls who just pulled him along when they saw him in the VIP lounge and recognised one of them as Coco and followed along without saying anything as Pyrrha was too busy staring at him speechlessly and wondered if this was the person Jaune was talking about.
He looked up in the crowd and saw someone he recognised with the big blonde mane as she was dancing with some of the football players. Although one thing that caught his attention was someone who was standing next to him, and his breath hitched as he saw Blake Belladonna. His childhood crush and his best friend and she was looking beautiful and stunning that he froze on the spot but then smirked to himself. He gave her a slight seductive smirk and gaze towards her and saw that blush appear on her cheek.
Blake's POV
She thought it couldn't get any worse but one minute she was staring at his upper body and his god of a body like a spartan warrior and that shredded eight pack he had. But no just like Blake's luck she had to let her eyes wonder further down and saw a bulge and she could feel a nosebleed coming but kept looking down to see those powerful and strong thighs and the definition of it.

The rest of the group was confused at the two girls as they were suddenly rendered down to schoolgirls shyness, and it absolutely shook them all. Even Yang was so confused at this point and was wide-eyed.
"Ar-are your eyes…" Weiss started off and Blake finished the question as she swallowed her breath.
"Silver by any chance?" and in the minds of the two well known girls in volleyball were begging that it was the case and that they had their friend back.
Ruben couldn't help but laugh in his own mindscape at the question and looked at the two girls and showed them his eye colours and watched their emotions shine through their faces. He saw the faces go from shock to shaking then to tears and then finally happiness and then back to shock again as it registered to their brain that he grew up.
"RUBEN? RUBEN ROSE?!" Weiss exclaimed as she ran to her 'little brother' and hugged him tightly as tears started to run down her cheeks as she inhaled his cinnamon and chocolate scent and a touch of roses.
'he's changed so much…those muscles and my god he has had the glow up of the century' she thought quietly as she felt those strong arms holding her close and sighed happily before she was let go and smiled happily. She couldn't believe Ruben was here with them after all these years. She made way as she looked at Blake who was standing still and had a shock expression stuck on her face, but her tail was swishing erratically.
"Hey there Noir" he spoke with his velvety and deep rich voice as it sent tingles in all of the girls that were watching as Velvet stood there with a nosebleed and Blake just blushed even harder.
"RuRu? Is that really you?" Her eyes were searching for answers, and she moved her hands onto his skin to make sure it was true and when she felt those taught and tight muscles, she stuttered but Ruben had other ideas.
He lifted her chin up slightly as she was looking at him with her golden eyes as she felt her blood pumping around her body fast and then she felt something warm on her lips and saw that he was kissing her. HER CHILDHOOD CRUSH WAS KISSING HER.
She let her eyes fluttered close and stood on her tipy toes as she put one hand on his cheek and the other lazily wrapped around his neck and kissed back. The feeling of those soft plump lips and the taste of minty fresh breath and his tongue brushing against hers and wrapping it around hers letting her moan into the kiss.
'oh my fuck. Im kissing my crush' They both thought in their minds as the had to pull away causing Blake to whimper as she needed oxygen but Ruben was fit as a fiddle and smirked softly.

"He's single right?" Arslan spoke up surprising a few at the comment causing to look at her with a glare.
"What? He didn't say anything being about with Blake, so realistically he's single. Right?" She voiced out causing some of them to think before Ren was dragged by Nora to join the other people.
"He won't be single for too long though and Blake has quite a head start if you want to compete for my little brother/best friend." She smirked as the others could only stare blankly at her.
The song was a freaky dirty song causing the couples and other girls to dance with random boys or to try and impress them. Blake had her back against the front of Ruben's and grinding her ass on him and leaning down to give him a good view. There we go! I have completed the second chapter of the Redhaired Crush. This was 9,895 words holy moly! I feel really good about this chapter but before I end it on that note, I will explain some things for you as I REALLY don't want to make a chapter looking all the way back so ill explain it here in detail. There will be short flashbacks but none of it will be that in depth, I have other chapters to write!
RUBEN ROSE = So basically ruben has had the biggest glow up and the reason he didn't want to tell his parents and close friends was because he wanted to surprise them instead of them not having a reaction when they already knew! PLUS, it would've added a lot towards the emotional reaction and the shock effect!
Secondly Ruben Rose and his parents (AKA QROW AND SUMMER) they all moved to Mistral because of Qrow's job as he was CEO of a company and needed to work abroad for the new sight of the organisation. But when Ruben had moved into the last 2 years of his HS they decided to enroll him into boarding and also bought him his own apartment if he want too live there instead but rejected and stayed on the campus. Qrow and Summer moved into Vale to open their night club but also because Ozzy needed Qrow closer than being away which he complied.
Lastly! Ruben is an absolute monster in sports and an absolute genius in his academics, but he got into Beacon because of his sports and records he had set when he was in Mistral.
QROW AND SUMMER = They moved into Vale so Summer could open her own nightclub which is now called 'Roses and Thorns' and both had business management degrees as well as summer having nursing degree as she loved taking care and helping sick people.
Salem = Is a trainer for the girls basketball team and she is not evil or any sort of that! She is Ozpin's wife and will tell him off if he is goofying around.
