Chapter 4: Hotel Valhalla And The Raid

Sean's POV: I love the experience of flying, soaring through the air soon we arrived at this large place. On the front gate there was an inscription saying "Hotel Valhalla" then I passed out. I woke up on a couch in a large parlor filled with pelts and hunting trophies. A man walked up to me and introduced himself as Hunding "Do you want the minibar key?"" Yes please." Remembering that I was in Valhalla I asked where I should go "Here, I'll show you." He dragged me to the elevator as we entered the elevator, he hit a button that said Floor 19. When we arrived, we were immediately assaulted by the sight of a blond-haired guy being chased by someone with green hair and a garrote wire.

That was my introduction to Floor 19, Hunding cleared his throat and spoke "Floor 19 you have a new hallmate." Then he strode out leaving me with some homicidal hallmates. The blonde-haired guy spoke "Welcome to Floor 19, my name is Magnus Chase, and my girlfriend is the homicidal person over there her current pronouns are she and her. Her name is Alex Fierro."" I'm Thomas Jefferson or T.J. for short." Said a guy in a Union soldier's coat "I'm Half-Born Gunderson, nice to meet you." He said while breaking my hand in a bone-crushing handshake "I'm Mallor …SEAN IS THAT YOU!" Yelled Mallory "MALLORY" I screamed before hugging her. I saw Magnus smirking "If you tell anyone about this a will slit your throat." She said threating Magnus I saw Magnus pale hard. "Fine I guess I'll explain." Said Mallory "Sean here is my brother."" What!" screamed everyone "Shut up now." Mallory and I said simultaneously.

Mallory POV: We trudged down to the dining hall where I was musing about seeing my brother again

and everyone is being served food and drink by Valkyries, which I found confusing to say the least. I took a seat next to Sean, I asked, "How is Dad?" Pain and sadness showed in his eyes "No, no he's not…" I asked scared Sean just nodded his head sadly. That was it the best Dad in the planet was dead the one that cared for us… just dead like that, no heroic act, just dead in a fire… just like that.

Sean's POV: When she mentioned our dad sadness just steamrolled me. Mallory seemed very distraught, I guess you don't get a lot of news in Valhalla. The Thanes called for silence, as everyone quieted down, one of the Thanes called out "Einherjar there is a new face among us, may I present Sean Keen!" though there was some clapping there was no real enthusiasm behind it. "Now let us watch his heroic acts!" They saw everything including getting my dad out of the fire and seeing him die, they were a few sobs at that, and they tattoo emblazoned on my arm (Everyone looked at my arm and they winced in sympathy.) they also saw me getting chased by hellhound and winced as they saw me have my ear bit off. They saw the Hunters capturing me then torturing me (Mallory looked like she was going to kill someone.) They saw Percy and Annabeth and my sword which they smiled proudly. They paused the video and asked me "You have the sword and shield of claíomh na con" "Yessir." I responded proudly. Everyone marveled at that, an Irish son of Skadi reclaiming her long lost falcata.

They replayed the video, but when I was shown being attacked the campers all heck broke loose, Mallory and Magnus were on top of the table screaming, Magnus about Annabeth killing me and Mallory was screaming that she was going to kill Annabeth, when all time seemed to slow down they saw me nodding to Zoe then me stabbing her in the chest before the spears and arrows started flying towards me, then the movie stopped. It was total chaos people screaming, food being thrown and curses against the Greeks yelled, "SILENCE!" Boomed a thane, instantly everyone quieted down "We shall give those Greeks a what-for for hurting our own burn the camp but save the one they call Percy he has tried to protect Sean but was betrayed, let's prepare for a raid tomorrow! "Shouted the thanes everyone roared in agreement before heading back to their rooms. Back at Floor 19 I stumbled around confused till I found a door that said, "Sean Keen" and there was 2 Celtic Falcatas crossing with the head of the elk above engraved into the door. I felt a weight in my pocket and pulled out a runestone for Skadi and put it against the door with a click the door opened to a winter wonderland completely covered in snow about 3 feet deep I spotted a log cabin nearby and trudged over to that and opened the door. Inside there was a large fireplace with large animal pelts I saw two wolves lying next to the fireplace when they heard me enter, they trotted up to my and brushed against my legs. I loved them and named them Misneach and Sealgair. After that I went to the bed near my fireplace and fell asleep

The next morning, I woke up to banging on the door and Gaelic curses "Sean Keen you may be my brother, but you don't open the door I'll slaughter you!" Grumbling Gaelic curses I opened the door, pausing to laugh at her expression as her teeth chattered "S-So C-C-Cold." I just smirked then I followed her down to the Armory her teeth still chattering. At the Armory I grabbed some armor and a helmet and oddly enough there was some bagpipes, so I grabbed those as well TJ gave me an evil grin and pointed to his drum I smiled in return and followed Mallory to the docks where there were 3 massive longships "We'll be in that one." Mallory pointed to a smallish longship I nodded and grabbed my pack and hopped aboard where I found Magnus who said pleadingly "I beg you please no bagpipes." "Sorry me and TJ have other plans." I said as I headed to the stern of the boat Magnus just groaned soon with the other two longships, as we were speeding towards Camp Half-Blood, I put the bagpipe to my lips and played filling the underground river with bagpipe music.
