As the Ghouls slowly dwindled and settled into their new roles Issei thought over his impromptu plan. He wanted them to have a home but he was a little worried over how many their were and if it was sustainable. Ignoring the problem till it came up he looked around at the tired group around him. He had sent out a hunting party led by his new Hunter Leader Nishki and hoped they stayed safe. He had personally fought the giant spider woman soon after he joined Rias peerage and it had taken alot to take it down. On that note he felt a nudge from Yoshimura as the last person was sorted.
"The new cook has finished a dinner for Rias and the hunter party returned successfully just a few minutes ago. I think it would be good for you to see the hunt before we serve it for dinner as you are...new to how we eat," he said before Issei nodded and asked everyone to gather at the dining hall soon for a feast.
Issei had never eaten willingly yet and was a bit green over the matter. Happy to at least have Yorshimura prepare him a little before he ate...stray...in front of his new peerage and extended family.
"Its so I don't puke in front of everyone right?," he asked quietly as Yorshimura led him to the kitchen prep area slowly.
"Most people don't know the truth...that you've been of Ghoul blood for less then a few days," Yoshimura spoke honestly but kindly. "And it would not be a good impression for you to puke at your first sight of our food. I'll have some coffee for you to drink to help but at least for this first meal you should eat with your new House if you want this to work. Most Ghouls eat privately anyway but for special occasions so this night will be the hardest."
"That's what I was afraid about. What if I don't eat tonight?," Issei asked as they neared the prep area.
"You will be seen as rude and more importantly...you need more then most of us because of your multiple kagune. You may go feral on your peerage...or Rias's."
Trying to appear calm Issei started preparing himself. He knew their might be consequences for his rash actions and he knew the history of the family. He was lucky in comparison to be able to help the family and have Rias. He just had to not puke in front of people.
As they entered Issei smelled the most divine aroma as he saw the massive body of a half crab, half devil, woman. He choked at the dead eyes gazing into the void. He hadn't had to deal with the body before as Rias simply vanished it after they defeated...killed...the spider woman.
"Remember, this woman choose to go feral and allow her instincts to control her actions, abandoning her King. She would have killed many had we not stopped her. And now she shall feed us for a month, maybe more. We can honor her sacrifice by respecting the meal," Yoshimura softly said in his ear. "Now it may be a break in tradition but you should help me prepare her. It will be best to get used to this now rather then out their."
Gulping Issei nodded and then promptly puked all over his shoes. Yoshimura nodded and let him get it out of his system before he vanished the mess from the room.
"Many young Ghouls have some of the same troubles. We can get started when you're ready."
"Ok...I'm ok...," Issei said weakly as he waved and the manor took care of the rest. The woman was slowly minced and chopped by invisible knives as piles of neat red meat and organs moved to tables with wheels. "I'm thinking about having you as the cook and head of staff so you can use the wards like I just did."
Yorshimura surprised at the efficiency of the wards looked at Issei for conformation. "Are you sure that would be wise? I would have nearly the same control over the wards as you do."
"I'm sure," Issei replied as he watched the process slowly complete. Taking a crab section and pretending very hard that it was just crab he took a bite and gasped at the heavenly taste. Like the steaks they served at the fancy restaurant his parents took him to when his father forgot his moms anniversary one year. He made sure to have some of the crab section saved for his next several meals...about his body weight a week he vaguely remembered. Most Ghouls would only need that much every month or two if he remembered right. He could be a little picky.
Making sure not to gag at the eyes he saw on one plate he looked at Yoshimura. "You haven't led me wrong before and I can't manage this place by myself. I barely figured out how to handle today with a ton of help. You are the man for the job."
"I accept," stated Yoshimura as the light green of the wards condensed and flooded his system. He suddenly knew all the jobs assigned and the current status of all the people in and throughout the castle. A few of the Ghouls hadn't properly fed and he knew they needed to get the show on the road.
Entering from a set of double doors Issei saw the gathered group in twos and threes waiting as the food tables were being set up by the new staff. As they finished he gestured and the food moved from the prep room to the tables and he made a beeline for Rias. Coming up behind her he wrapped his arms around her and smiled. He had never had the chance before to do my that and he found her warmth intoxicating.
"Isseiiii...," she laughed as she tried to move toward the table set up for the non-ghouls by Kimi. "I'm hungry and tired. No horsing around."
He spun her around or more aptly tried to. They both ended up on the floor laughing. Till Akeno pointed out the obvious.
"Ara ara...I didn't know you were both so shameless to take each other on the floor. And in front of all these people. My turn next," she said as she laughed into the sleave of her kimono.
"If anyone gets a turn it's me," stated Eto moving to help Issei up as she handed him a plate of the more crab like parts and some fresh coffee. Whispering in his ear she told him her father had said he preferred this. He nodded thankfully. He reached down with one hand and quickly tugged Rias up and into his side, trying not to spill the fresh coffee.
"Mine first," blushed Rias as she glared at Akuno and Eto. Ignoring her Eto pushed herself into Issei's other side and smiled.
"Anyyyway...," hedged Issei as he saw possibility but wanted to avoid Rias ire. Taking a bite of the food he saw Asia cringe a little but try to hide it. He quickly swallowed and tried not to think about why she cringed.
"How's everyone settling in?," he quietly asked Eto as he looked around. He saw a few Ghouls tussle a little on the way to the tables but Yoshimura quickly appeared and seemed to get things calmed down.
Watching the same group she smiled as she replied, "Alright, most of them can use some measure of devil power unlike you because of the lower amount of Kagune absorbing it. So they didn't have a bad trek up here and with their invitation they just appeared outside the doors. A few thought you were looking to eradicate all low bloods that didn't work for you but meeting you helped."
"Eradicate them, why?"
"The old family had some...negative views as you know."
"Well I'm happy their settling in ok. I'm sure that life wasn't easy before if all the shit I've learned is how things are for purebloods, much less those without. How about the rest of the peerage? I don't see them around..."
"They decided to eat separately as they are catching up...they missed each other."
"Awesome, I mean not awesome, I just, I'm happy they are catching up."
Eto smiled as he stuttered. This was a great situation she found herself in according to her father. The peerage system wasn't around when she was alive but devils did tend to run in packs. A high rank in a peerage of the new and somewhat available, according to his relationship with Rias and her peerage, head of Ghoul House meant she could have alot of influence, and maybe some fun if it worked out. And he wasn't a pacifist like her father who preferred not to fight. She saw some of fight he had to defend Rias and he was willing to fight for her and her people. For the first time since the start of the Great War she had hope.
"Food Issei...foood," Rias inturputed her train of thought as she moved Issei as best she could toward the 'normal' devil buffet. "They have chocolate cakeeeee, I love that new cook."
Issei on the other hand just made way and let himself be moved as he tried not to wrinkle his nose at the smell of normal food. He wondered if he would ever get used to this, very new, situation he found himself in...at least he had Rias. He took a sip of the amazing coffee and tried to make small talk.

As the evening slowed down Yorshimura helped the new ghouls get settled in their rooms and Eto helped him find his new room.
"This is too much...," he thought outloud as his new 'rooms' were more along the line of a large apartment with couches, chairs, fireplace, reading nook, office, several medium sized bedrooms off the main room, a private bath the size of a medium swimming pool, and a bed in the main room that tried to compete with the swimming pool.
"It's perfect," came the loud reply as he wasn't aware of the large group standing behind him and jumped a little. Apparently Rias quite approved of the new accommodations. "Finally a big enough bed."
Sighing dramatically at her he along with all the female members of her peerage started toward the bed, undressing as they went, some far more embarrassed then others.
"I'll take a side room," Kiba said quickly and headed toward the nearest one.
"Wha...," said Eto, and the returning Touka and Hinami as they watched the undressing group. Looking back Akuno decided she was going to explain.
"Well Issei takes us all in turns before...ow," she finished as Rias smacked her upside the head.
"We got used to sleeping in the same place after I realized that Issei made the perfect pillow and everyone else decided to intrude," Rias supplied as a far less provocative answer.
"Well...if everyone else got to I wasn't being left out!," said a trying to be intimidating Asia...although it came out more as a cute grumble.
"You may as well know now I have little choice in my own decisions," stated Issei before he quickly clarified at the glares he was receiving, "Not that I mind at all."
"He's warm," stated the quiet Nekomata as she too started to climb into the bed. "Just be careful you don't get poked."
"How many times must I apologize," added Issei pitifully as he climbed into the bed and attempted to find the middle without accidentally molesting any of Rias peerage finding spots to relax. He still wasn't clear on the rules of the situation and he wasn't a bad pervert he was sure...he was a good pervert at worst.
"Well when in Rome...," Eto stated to Issei's astonishment before she to stripped down to nothing and started to fight with Akuno over who got Issei's other side. The other two Ghouls looked at each other nervously.
"You don't have to do anything your uncomfortable with," stated Issei once he tore his eyes away from Eto as her struggle caused all manner of...motions...he found made his underwear stretch far to tight for comfort, much to the clear annoyance of the Neko trying valiantly to get comfortable curled up between his legs. "This is just more homey for us."
"Well...ok...no perverted stuff," stated Touka stripping down to a bra and panties in bright blue as she glared and climbed up to find a spot a few feet from Rias. "I'm just tired."
Hinami left alone at the edge and never having seen so much naked flesh in her admittedly somewhat sheltered life but not willing to be seen as a child blushed heavily. She quietly moved to the local bathroom and came back quickly in a cute pink nighty and climbed up and settle into Toukas back.
"No naughty stuff," she added as she got comfortable.
"No naughty stu...," Issei tried to agree before he passed out in the middle of the pile of bodies. He was exhausted.
