Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was born in the noblest of kingdoms to King Cory and Topanga Matthews: a beautiful baby girl with skin as white as snow. The little princess was named Riley White Matthews, and she was beloved by her father and mother. However, unfortunately the love she recieved from her mother was short lived as she died when Riley was but six years of age. Without a queen to help him rule, Riley's father had to spend even more time governing the kingdom, leaving Princess Riley all alone in her castle all day every day. However all of that soon changed on one fateful day.

On one sunny afternoon, little Princess Riley was sitting in her room playing with toys singing a song, when suddenly: climbing in from a large tree nearby, was a girl the same age as Riley with long blonde hair and dirty rags on her body. The blonde girl then stepped into Riley's room; her first steps immediately alerted Riley to her presence. A surprised Riley looking at the blonde intruder said, "Who goes there? Are you a stranger?" The blonde girl then said, "Yes my princess, but not a stranger to your castle. My mother is the new chamber maid. She works all day and there are no other activities for me to do. So I began to explore the castle from the outisde. But when I heard your singing, I felt drawn to your presence. Please forgive me for the intrusion."

The blonde girl then began to step back to the window, when Riley suddenly stepped towards her and said, "Wait. What is your name?" Maya turned to look at Riley as she said, "Maya Penelope Hart, my princess." Riley then smiled and said, "Okay. Wanna play dolls with me?" Maya looking surprised said, "But... your dolls are the toys of a princess. And I am but a chamber maid's daughter." Riley then held out one of her dolls and said, "Well then you can be a princess too." Maya looking uncertain then said, "But... surely a girl with the name of Maya Penelope isn't worthy enough to be a princess." Then Riley with a big smile said, "Then I'll give you a new name. You can be... hmm... Princess Charming. Because you're so polite and charming. Now come on. Lets play dolls."

And I am but a chamber maid's daughter." Riley then held out one of her dolls and said, "Well then you can be a princess too." You can be... hmm... Princess Charming. Because you're so polite and charming. Now come on. Lets play dolls."

For the next hour, Riley and Maya began to play with dolls together. Soon their activities moved towards drawing. Riley shared with Maya the finest paints she had, and within an hour: Maya had created a vibrant work of art full of detailed color that showed a landscape of the kingdom. As Riley looked at Maya's finished art work, with wide eyes she said, "Wow. Your art is so amazing." Maya with a smile said, "Thank you Princess Riley. My mother used to be a maid at a paper mill that also distributed the kingdom's art supplies. Occassionaly, faulty art supplies were thrown away, but I kept them." Then Riley with a big smile said, "Well, your art is really beautiful. Almost as beautiful as you are Princess Charming." Maya then began to blush with a big smile on her face as she said, "Thank you." Then suddenly the door to Riley's room opened up as Riley's father: King Cory stepped in. As Cory looked at the two girls he said, "Riley, I just wanted to... Wait. Who is this commoner than has come into your bedroom?"

Down below in a lower level of the castle, Maya's mother: Katy Hart wore a maid's uniform as she swept one of the rooms. Suddenly, Cory stepped into the room with Riley and Maya. Katy noticing Maya, looked upset as she said, "Maya, get over here. Where have you been?" Cory then stepped towards Katy as he said, "You. Chamber maid. Apparently your daughter here went wandering around the castle and entered the princess' bedroom." Katy beginning to look terrified said, "She did? My king, I beg your forgiveness. I promise it won't happen again." Then Cory said, "Well I hope it does again. When I walked in on the two girls here, my daughter was the happiest she's been since the queen passed away. This castle lacks any children her age for the princess to play with. So I think it be in her best interest, if your daughter begins to consistently accompany the princess as her play companion. If you'd allow it of course." Katy with a big smile on her face said, "That I'd very much allow my king. Thank you for allowing my daughter Maya to serve your kind family." Then Riley raised a hand and said, "By the way. I changed her name. She's Princess Charming now." The two adults laughed, as Riley gave Maya a big hug.

As time passed, Maya accompanied Princess Riley wherever she went every day. The two would roam the castle together, walk through the open fields of the kingdom, and play with toys together often. Riley would often allow Maya to partake in her educational studies, allowing Maya a chance to educate herself far beyond someone of her typical social class normally could. In return, Maya would draw and paint Riley a new painting nearly every week. In time, Riley's bedroom walls were covered in hundreds of paintings made by Maya's hand. Each painting was rich in detail, color, and talent. Every day, the two girls would have lunch together. Then as an act of kindness, once a week: Maya and her mother would be invited to dine with the royal family for dinner. Riley always insisted that the servants and chef refer to Maya as Princess Charming, and for their own amusement and awe in Princess Riley's kindness, they did. One thing that was never allowed though was for Maya to sleep with Riley in the same bedroom. However that changed one night.

One evening Maya was sleeping in her tiny room in a shack next to the castle where she and her mother resided. Maya slept soundly on her straw bed, when suddenly Riley stepped into the room and shook Maya awake. Riley whispered into Maya's ear: "Princess Charming, it's me." Maya opened her eyes to see Riley and said, "My princess. What is it? What's wrong?" Riley then sat next to Maya and said, "It's my father. I have just learned he has planned to marry a new woman." Maya then said, "Well that's not a bad thing my princess. You shall no longer be without a mother." Then Riley with a worried face said, "This woman is no mother. She's is a wicked woman. She comes from the Far Province. My father thinks she loves him, but I can see she only seeks to marry into our family, so she can extend the rule of her kingdom." Maya then held Riley's hand and said, "My princess, you cannot speak such things. I'm sure the king is wise in his desicion. But no matter what happens, you shall have his love... and you shall have mine." Riley smiled as she hugged Maya and said, "Thank you Princess Charming. Do... do you mind if I sleep with you for a time until morning?" Then Maya said, "But this bed of hay I lay upon is not suitable or perfect for a princess." Then Riley looked into Maya's eyes and said, "Any bed with you in it Princess Charming is perfect for me." Then Riley and Maya laid down on their sides facing one another. Then the two girls wrapped their arms around each other's bodies as they began to fall asleep in each other's arms.

A month later, the day of King Cory's marriage to his new wife was to occur. Being this was to be the grandest event Princess Riley was to experience, the greatest dress makers and make up artists in the kingdom were brought in to make her beautiful. However Riley insisted Maya be given the task of making her dress and doing her make up. With hesitation, this request was granted. Maya spent weeks making Riley's dress she was to wear at the wedding perfect. Then on the morning of the wedding, Maya spent hours with Riley in front of a mirror making her hair and make up as perfect as possible. Near the end of the process, Maya was brushing Riley's hair. As Riley looked at herself in front of the mirror she said, "You have done perfect work my perfect Princess Charming. It only saddens me this perfect appearance of mine was assembled on the day I obtain a wicked step-mother." Maya then sat next to Riley; the two girls looked at each other in the mirror, as Maya said, "You are ready for the wedding now my princess." Riley sighed and said, "Thank you. This afternoon shall be dreadful. But spending the morning with you, with your fingers running through my hair for hours, hearing your soft voice speak to me, and being made to look beautiful by you... this shall be one of my most treasured memories of all time... my princess." Riley and Maya then both stood up and hugged one another.

More time passed. Riley found herself as expected: unloved her new wicked step-mother, but still found comfort with being around Maya. Then shortly upon Riley's 11th birthday, Riley's father Cory grew ill and died. A period of mourning was observed, with Maya spending nearly every waking moment by Riley's side comforting her. But then soon in no time, Riley's wicked-step mother: the new Evil Queen took action. Her goal was one simply of conquering and expanding the kingdom, with no room for kindness or comforts (aside from the comforts she gave herself). Even cleanliness of the castle was of no concern anymore, causing her to fire nearly all of the maids in the castle. Upon hearing the news of her mother's termination, Maya ran to Riley and told her the news. Upon crying together for hours, Riley then decided the two would spend their last day together at the royal lake.

Early that morning, the two eleven year old girls held hands as they walked to the royal lake. The lake was well guarded, and no one that was not royalty or a member of the castle staff could enter. Upon reaching the lake, Riley took her clothes off and said, "Come Princess Charming. Let us swim across the lake together." As Maya took off her own clothing, she found herself blushing as she starred at Princess Riley who was now completely naked before her. As Riley noticed Maya's face turn red she said, "What is it?" Maya looked a bit nervous as she took off the last of her clothing and said, "Nothing. It's just... we have not seen each other without clothing on in so long and upon gazing at you just now, I see Princess Riley that you clearly now have the body that is not of a girl, but of a woman." Riley then blushed as she said, "Well Princess Charming, I too am currently in awe of how well your body has developed to become that of a woman as well." The two girls blushed together, and then held hands as they aproached the water.

The two girls then spent most of the day swimming in the water naked, lying nude in the grass under the sun on the other side of the lake, and having a picnic near the water as they enjoyed each other's company. As the day neared it's end though, both naked girls laid on their sides in the grass looking into each other's eyes. The two's bodies were curled up a bit, as they smiled while starring at each other. Suddenly the two heard the voice of Maya's mother Katy yell, "Maya! It's time to go!" Maya and Riley suddenly sat up, as they saw Katy aproaching them. Katy looking angry said, "Maya, put some clothes on! You're not a little girl anymore. If any men saw you..." As Riley and Maya quickly put their clothes on, Maya said, "Sorry mother. We were just..." Katy then said, "I know, but we have to go now. The queen has ordered all terminated staff be gone by sun down. We must leave!" Maya then said, "Of course."

Riley and Maya then stood facing one another as they looked into each other's eyes. The two girls then hugged one another, as tears filled Maya's eyes. Maya was saddened, not just because she was losing RIley but because she knew she would never see her again. Maya was fully aware commoners were not typically allowed to befried royalty, and with the queen evicting her family from the castle grounds, she knew she would never have the ability to aproach or speak to Riley for the rest of her life. For Maya knew that despite Riley constantly calling her princess, she would indeed never be one, and would never be allowed to be part of Riley's world ever again. Riley then suddenly kissed Maya on the cheek, and whisped into her ear, "I love you." Maya then simply looked into Riley's eyes, smiled... and then walked away. Maya then turned her back to Riley and began to walk away with her mother. Then Riley yelled from the top of her lungs, "I LOVE YOU PRINCESS CHARMING!" Maya then turned back to look at Riley, smiled again, and then walked on with her mother.

The years passed as life did not get better for Riley. Without Maya in the castle anymore, Riley was the only person her age within the castle walls, causing her teenage years to be very lonely. Every day, Riley would just look at the many pictures Maya made for her over the years, and she would miss her even more. The Evil Queen also did not make life easy for Riley, only giving the princess rags to wear. Riley however remembered how Maya made clothes and would dye the fabrics, so Riley learned to be very self-sufficient. Riley tried to stay positive, by attempting to befriend the few castle staff left. She even used her free time to make new clothes for the staff and their family members. The Evil Queen eventually learned of this, and on Riley's 18th birthday: took away all her supplies she used to make clothing.

Shortly after Riley's 18th birthday, she spent one afternoon walking over to the nearby well to fetch some water as she sang. Suddenly from afar, a young prince riding a horse saw her. Immediately feeling attracted to her beauty, the prince aproached Riley and began to sing with her. However Riley was frightened by the prince's presence, and jumped away. The prince then said, "Don't be afraid princess. I am Prince Lucas from the Eastern Province. And may I say how beautiful you are?" Riley looking annoyed said, "You may not. It is polite that when two people meet, they exchage at least a few more pleasantries before commenting on each other's physical appearance. Now then, I must be going." Riley then stepped into the castle, as Prince Lucas called out to Riley saying, "But your radiance is so alluring Princess Riley. My attraction towards you is real. Please accept my advances. I love you. Marry me, and we shall live happily ever after together." Riley then stuck her head out of a castle window and said, "Are you crazy!? You expect a princess like myself, to marry any man I meet the same day I meet him!? Also, how dare you say you love me?! Love is not felt or experienced on a whim based on initial physical attraction. It is built on time spent when two people develop patience for one another, along with respect, dedication, devotion, kindness, and a desire to learn more about the other and support them in a charming way. You however young prince, are NOT CHARMING!" Then Riley walked away from a dissapointed looking Prince Lucas.

Despite Riley being angered by that day, life only got worse from there. Due to the Evil Queen being jealous that Riley, upon now being eighteen, was the fairest adult woman in all the land, decided to have Riley be killed. Riley ran away from the castle, finding refuge in the home of kind dwarves. However the Evil Queen upon disguisng herself as a seemingly harmless old woman, gave a naieve Riley a poison apple. Riley ate from it, which then caused her to fall into an eternal sleep; a sleep that she could only be awaken from if she experienced true love's kiss from someone of royal blood from any kingdom. Upon hearing of this, Prince Lucas immediately rode to where Riley laid asleep.

Riley laid in a glass coffin above ground that had been created for her. Lucas then approached the coffin, opened it, kissed Riley on the lips, and looked into her eyes waiting for them to open... but they never did. As Lucas stepped back he said, "Why does the princess not awaken? She recieved true love's kiss from someone of royal blind." Then a young man aproached Lucas from behind a tree and said, "Was it true love's kiss though?" Lucas looking at the young man as he said, "Who are you?" The young man then said, "The name's Auggie, but my friends call me Doc. I'm one of the sveen dwarves that built this coffin for the princess here. She was very kind to us before she fell asleep. She made us food, taught us how to be more polite men, told us stories, and sang us songs. She took the time to really get to know us, and really wanted to know how to help us. She loved us like a sister, and I loved her like a brother. She taught us what real love is, and you sir: can't just ride up on a horse one day and expect looking handsome just makes you a woman's true love." Lucas sighed and said, "Dwarf... as much as it is difficult for I, a prince to admit it... you are correct. I didn't take the time to get to know the princess and learn to love her as you did with her. But if I cannot awaken her... who can?" The dwarf Auggie sighed and said, "The princess did tell us stories of her life growing up in the castle, and... there may be one person who can..."

Far away, Maya was working on a farm churning butter as her mother Katy aproached her. Katy looked at Maya as she said, "How is your day faring Maya?" Maya looked at Katy with a sad face as she said, "My heart feels broken mother. Ever since news reached us that Princess RIley lays asleep forever... I fear I shall never feel any sense of happiness again as long as I live." Katy then said, "But she may still awaken. You have heard the stories. Anyone that falls asleep from a poison apple will awaken if they experience true love's kiss from someone that is royalty." Then Maya sighed and said, "But Princess Riley never experienced true love with someone of royalty." Then Katy said, "Well... there was you." Maya looked confused as she said, "But mother, I..." Katy then put a hand on Maya's shoulder and said, "I never told you this because of how inappropriate it seemed, but the late king didn't see it that way. He told me once that Princess Riley was... was very much in love with you."

Maya looked at her mother with surprise as she said, "He did?" Katty nodded as she said, "He told me that you were the only person she would talk about constantly when the two were together. She admired your talents, your spirit, and your soul. She was in love with you her entire life Maya... and I know you were in love with her. A mother can tell these things, especially with how your eyes would always light up whenever you she walked into a room." Maya then titled her head down and said, "Well... it doesn't matter because I am not royalty." Katy then said, "Maybe not to the entire kingdom. But you were a princess to Riley. She told you that every day. And isn't the way she sees you, what matters most?" Suddenly Maya had a look of clarity on her face, as her eyes lit up. Suddenly Maya ran towards her family's horse and jumped on it as she yelled, "Heeya!"

The horse that carried Maya then began to run at incredible speeds. As Maya held onto the horse tight she said, "Faster my noble steed. Faster. You are no longer the horse of a commoner. You are the stalliion of a princess. Now ride. Ride like the wind!" Maya's horse then ran at speeds faster than what seemed imaginable. Hours passd as Maya rode over fields, through forests, over creeks, up mountains, and down valleys. Soon Maya and her horse finally slowed down as Riley's coffin appeared before them. Upon being several feet away, Maya jumped off the horse, and dashed to the coffin. Maya lifted the glass lid and looked at the sleeping princess before her. Maya then moved her lips near Riley's ear and whispered, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but... I love you too." Then Maya moved her face to Riley's mouth, and then... kissed her on the lips.

Suddenly the spark of life was ignited, and Riley's eyes opened just as Maya's kiss finished. Riley then looked into Maya's eyes and said, "My Princess Charming." Tears appeared in Maya's eyes as she said, "My princess... for the rest of my life." Then Riley sat up and she and Maya kissed again. Then after their long kiss, the two woman got onto Maya's horse and rode off into the sunset. Together the two reclaimed the kingdom that was rightfully Riley's, and ruled it together with kindness and compassion. The two queens shortly after being married to one another, adopted several of the kingdom's oprhan children and raised them as their own. And most importantly... they lived happily ever after.
