Hello! This is a translated version of a one-shot I wrote just for fun
This chapter/story explores the idea of a world where quirks are the result of the divine intervention of certain gods, who in the past only allowed humans who killed a deity to have 'quirks'.
In this One-Shot, Izuku becomes a 'Campione' after killing the heretic god Loki, and acquires his most representative powers. If anyone would be interested in creating a story similar to this project idea or 'adopting' it, have my permission.
I hope you like it
Full Summary: No one truly understands Izuku Midoriya: Some think he's the greatest hero of all and others think he's crazy, and therefore should be locked up for the good of all. The truth of the matter is that he is neither one or the other. Izuku obtain a powerful "Quirk" by killing a divine entity by mistake. However, even though his "Heroic" path now seemed to be too easy, the first powers he got came with unforeseen "rules". After all, the evil god Loki was not going to allow anyone to use his abilities without any price to pay. As a consequence, Izuku can now take on any appearance he wishes, and do another things but in return he must "embrace the chaos" within himself.
Despite the fact that his world has nothing to do with Marvel, his friends have started calling him 'A variant of Loki'; However, even if a big part of the world sees him as a threat and even if he wields the powers of an evil god, he will continue to prove to everyone that he is the hero they need and not the one they deserve.
Join Inko's firstborn on his difficult and strangely romantic path to greatness.
Disclaimer: The characters and story of [Campione!] and [Boku-No-Hero-Academy], don't belong to me, they belong to their respective authors. This is a fictional story created solely for the purpose of entertainment, and is not for profit.
Note: The UA is a university, and the age of the characters is 17~18 years old and up. I changed the ages of the characters, because even though this is a one-shot, I don't consider it appropriate for characters 15 years old or younger to be in a 'campione' crossover, because in that series there are...quite mature romances, so to speak.
Prologue (1): Quirk: Snake Moult.
"So...". Said the mature voice ringing from the other end of the phone, "...Will all of you come to visit me in the summer?".
"Yes Hisashi-san..." —repeated Inko, a strange feeling running down her spine as she heard the man on the other end of the phone. Talking to the father of her child was still difficult for her despite all the years they had already been divorced. His obsession with work and his subsequent move to 'I-Island' had eventually broken up a marriage full of flaws years before —" After all, you already bought our tickets for the 'I-Expo', didn't you?...And your idea sounds ...sounds... I guess it's okay...It's a good idea. Seeing you will make Izuku happy and everything else will distract him...Seeing all those hero support artifacts before that exam will raise his spirits...*Sigh*...hopefully..."—With a hesitant attitude and a sigh full of complex emotions in between, the green-haired woman sentenced.
She had feared this when she called Hisashi to tell him about the decision Izuku had made about his future; It seemed her son had finally come to his senses, or resigned himself; either of those two reasons had her saddened for the past 11 months, for after what was apparently another rough day at school (deduced after observing how another of his hero notebooks was scorched, and. ..wet?), Izuku informed her in the evening with teary eyes plus a bitter smile in between, that he would be applying for the support department at UA University. After hearing it, she didn't ask any questions; she just hugged him, and let him release his frustrations in her arms; for a moment she thought about changing his mind and convincing him to follow his dreams, but she knew that despite how much they both wanted their dreams to come true, desires and reality were very different.
The following months after that decision were emotionally hard, but little by little mother and son have been able to cope, however, a trip to a mobile island full of scientists who (among other things) invent support artifacts for the heroes, should be able to lift the firstborn Midoriya's spirits.
"We'll come visit you, even if you don't deserve it, Tsk" — the woman growled while sounding like she was upset about something, probably the fact that she would have to spend time with her ex-husband — "We'll be there the following weekend."
"W-Well. I'll be waiting for you guys. I'll support Izuku with this situation *sigh*. I promise, I won't fail this time." With a sigh in between, Hisashi finished a sentence enunciated in a voice full of bitter feelings.
"You better," —Inko said as she looked worriedly at her son, who was in the distance, in one of the corridors of the house, removing a poster of [All-Might] from the wall. What the heck had happened 11 months ago? she wondered for a moment, before shaking her head and sighing deeply with melancholy just as she shifted the focus of her sight to the phone in her hands; sHe opened a message from Hisashi, which contained a location that opened Doogle-Maps when she clicked on it; It was about the location that 'I-Island' would have in a week's time — " Is it goin to be near Sakhalin Island?. Geez Hisashi, If only you weren't such a pain in the ass, this could be a nice vacation for me and Izuku. "*1
You guys want to know my story, huh?
You know? Although the main "parts" of me are still here, I've changed quite a bit from how you remember me. That idealistic 15 year old boy matured long ago and finally realized that not everyone can be saved.
So; are you sure you want to know what happened?
Hmmmm, you're leaving already?...It's okay, never mind. I still have my trusty sidekick to chat with.
...
Wait Fenrir! Don't go! What I'm about to tell you won't bore you, I swear!
Damn, you're still too demanding.
I guess I'll just have to talk to myself, as usual...
...Oh, one of you has stayed?. Good! One is enough!
You see, it all started on a vacation I took with my mother. On a Russian island north of Japan...
Inko blinked as the last of the buildings in the tourist area of 'I-Island' ended up collapsing...
...So what the hell just happened? ...
In just 48 hours a pleasant family trip in the vicinity of a Russian Island had turned into a scenario that could only be described as post-Apocalyptic; First, a massive storm had 'descended' on the sea in which the island technology 'ran aground': giant waves swept over half of the island, the animals of the sky and sea went crazy, escaping from two giant creatures that invaded the skies near the main coastal city of Sakhalin Island which was only two kilometers away from the technological island: countless women, men, children, lost their lives, it was a total disgrace.
Was it about the attack of Villains with Omega level Quirks?; Except for [All-Might] and a few other Heroes or Villains from other Countries, she had never been able to see in "live" two "Super-Humans" unleashing so much power in such close combat, so for a moment she found it hard to believe that those "people" were human; And the strangest part of the matter was that the one facing the "Villain" with that Giant Snake "Quirk". ..despite being flying despite being as gigantic in size as the most recently ascended heroine "Mount-Lady", not only did he seem to be wearing the same set of clothes as that hero his son likes so much from the "old school comics", but also his appearance was almost identical to that of the old movies/comics!
For some reason there was someone with Thor's appearance using a giant axe and fighting against a huge Serpent, whose body emerged from the ocean and extended hundreds of meters upwards! They both unleashed their "power" on the population, without any consideration whatsoever!
[Author's Note: The term "Omega" or other "concepts/terms/names" from "Marvel"/"DC" or other franchises that may be found in this story are just "references" that I'm using because I like how 'that sound'/I like it. This isn´t an X-Over].
But the worst of the situation was not the above; for shortly after, with her heart trembling with fear, she watched helplessly as her 17 year old son got on the moving boat that was carrying Hisashi, and a girl named Melissa towards the direction in which those "Villains" were fighting; she tried to stop them, but it was impossible: their goal was to get close to those 'beasts' and then use a kind of mysterious stone tablet that was supposed to be able to take away the 'creatures' powers. A tablet that Hisashi had apparently been studying for years; Hisashi's nonsensical words about the tablet were confirmed by Melissa Shield, whom they met shortly after arriving on the island...
...And then her son put himself in danger; Some kind of heroic feeling awoke in him, and he felt the need to help them. He didn't want to leave his father and his new friend alone in the suicidal task they had set themselves.
And then it happened: In the distance, she saw with special binoculars how after a short time of having arrived near the "Giant Villains" (who had almost killed them on several occasions), on that coastal beach of Sakhalin Island, Melissa kissed for some reason her terribly wounded son and soon after, with a blinding flash in between, after her "sprout" raised that stone tablet ...
...the sea opened in two and part of a vast uninhabited territory of Sakhalin Island was no more...
... just like one of the giant "Villains"; Izuku had somehow "exterminated" the huge Snake.
Aaaaah...*Sigh*...Had I known that by killing the heretic deity "Loki-Veles", I would be filled with so much trouble, perhaps I would have thought things through better before using the magic stone tablet known as the "Prometheus' Grimoire".
Although... I must admit that the "curse" that "Loki" placed on my authorities, is the reason why my mind "opened up". That made me what I am today. So I guess it wasn't all bad.
The existence of Gods must surely confuse you a lot, you may also come to consider that this is something impossible or too absurd, but if you think about the existence of "Quirks" that turn people into an "anthropomorphic washing machine" or that give them "Fire Hydrant Arms" I guess it's not so impossible to believe anymore.
And in fact, the only explanation for things like that is not a mutant "Gene" or a "Quirk Factor" ...
... Please! Of course things like that can't have been caused by something like evolution! Genes are just proteins! Even if they mutated, they would never give you such absurd abilities!
The only plausible explanation for "Quirks" when you "open your mind", is not evolution, but magic!
And the world I was born into is full of magic that manifests itself in the form of a "Special Gene".
A month after that happened that she still doesn't fully understand, Inko now watched from across the street her son, who was about to step on the entrance leading to the entrance exam that students take to enter the UA university as future heroes.
After that day, as unlikely as it may seem, Izuku had obtained a "Quirk"; she didn't believe it even if she was able to observe its effects, but the blood tests confirmed that he possessed a powerful Quirk, and pushed aside her disbelief, so her son's dream was finally within reach. It was fortunate that he was able to switch his application from the support department to the "Heroics" course. ...
...yes, lucky. she doubts very much that this was the case as her son says. Probably some special person he met, or some other kind of situation that occurred after he traveled to Hokkaido on the orders of the Hero "Hawks" whom Izuku had personally met shortly after getting his Quirk. In Hokkaido, another "Omega" level villain appeared, but was "quickly" defeated by a Hero who is unknown so far; Surely all that had a lot to do with that matter, as the rules of that school prohibit change in course application, once the form is filled out and submitted. So something was going on; something that Izuku for some reason had not yet told her.
You're probably thinking that I'm going too fast...
...And actually, you're right. But telling you what happened before this moment, it's a story that's full of both mythology and joy mixed with melancholy, tears and despair...and I don't think you want to hear that last one just yet. So I'll leave that for a little later. Maybe after I tell you what happened at the USJ, I'll explain in detail my "origin" as a hero.
But for the moment, understand this: Gods exist, accept that fact; They come to the "mortal plane" by "descending" from their myths. They are products of the "faith" of human beings, products of the collective imagination of mankind. They are "stories" that thanks to a kind of cosmic energy known as "Magic" come to life, stories that "crystallize" and take physical form on our earthly plane after leaving their "myths".
"Myths" are dimensions that were also created by the collective "faith" of humanity. Mythological worlds beyond our earthly plane; Worlds that they leave when they get tired of fulfilling the role that humanity has given them or when they get tired of living a "repetitive" story that they cannot control; They are like "Comic Book" or "Movie" characters that have become aware of themselves and after realizing that they live in a "fictitious" story, they decide to leave it to have a free will.
If you have seen the movie "Last Action Hero" or something similar, you could probably get a better idea of this: Their world is the movie, ours is the movie theater and the projector screen is the "tear" in space that they break through to get to our "reality".
Thanks to their "immeasurable" power, those gods who get tired of living without free will, are able to abandon the "Comic/Movie"...
...Oh, but in doing so, they bring disaster upon the earth...
...On the mortal plane, they cannot control themselves, nor their powers or personalities. The myths that "compose" them are "scrambled" and they become "distorted" in many ways. A god of fire will try to incinerate everything, a god of war will fill the hearts of human beings with bloodlust for his own amusement, a god of hunting will use human beings as his/her prey, etc...
...And others sometimes just keep on behaving like what they are, evil gods, as was the case of the first god I killed, "Loki-Veles".
Yes, I know it also confuses you that I call him "Loki-Veles"...I'll get to that point another time.
"It's time"—Said the Midoriya as he waited for the start signal outside the large doors of the testing area, then sighed with a bit of frustration in between after that boy with the motors on his legs blamed him for trying to distract the muscular brown-haired girl, whom he had greeted for a brief moment a while ago after she had kept her friend Melissa from falling to the ground by using a gravity-manipulating [Quirk]. Melissa had mistakenly tripped over an unevenness in the ground an hour ago due to a mistake arising from the nervousness she couldn't help but have, as she was about to fulfill her dream. Just like him, by an "Improbable" act, she had managed to get a "Quirk", although not in the same way as him; After all, she didn' t kill any god like Loki or Baba-Yaga in his case, but she got her Quirk thanks to him...
...With a little embarrassment in between he thought about that last one; some memory caused his cheeks to blush out; Then he shook his head to get rid of that thought, and went back to watching the muscular girl without the blue-haired man noticing. A small smile was drawn on his face as he admired her beauty, he had to admit that those well toned musculature that was observed under her black sleeveless t-shirt, looked quite sexy to him-"What are you thinking about? Focus!"-He shook his head furiously and tried to control that "naughtiness" and "uninhibition" that his main "Quirk" was "increasing" in his personality.
He could do this!. He knew he could do it now, with his first Quirk he could become a hero! He had spent the last month trying to get to know in depth the gifts his new pink-haired foster mother had bestowed upon him. Pandora didn't explain much, she just told him that when the time came he would know how to use his powers... Or did she explain in more detail? The truth is that he only remembers half of the things she told him in their first meeting.
In any case, he was a fast learner compared to any other "Peculiar" he had ever met. The training with Melissa at Musutafu Beach was useful and the subsequent unexpected encounter with the lunatic goddess of witches, "Baba Yaga" ensured that he learned very well how to use a large part of his abilities. So he wasn't really nervous that he might fail, he knew that wasn't going to happen; whatever the practical exam consisted of, it would be crushed by the "Forms of Loki". It was just that...To him it felt too strange that he had become familiar so soon with the "Quirk" or rather, the [Authority] he had earned and he also felt it was very strange to have so quickly changed his application to the AU by mastering this "absurd" power so quickly. What he was doing, What he now was, A [Campione] or [Inhuman], an illegitimate child of Pandora and Epimetheus, Could it be considered cheating in today's Heroic society?
*Sigh*-He abandoned that thought for a moment after another shake of his head and then thought about how [Hawks] helped him change his application to the UA when he met him weeks ago because of "that" situation...
...situation that still made him feel guilty.
The encounter with "Baba-Yaga" still felt too...Close...Un-Natural...And tragic.
That encounter affected him in so many ways, that he still hadn't finished processing all that he had had to "Sacrifice" for the sake of peace. What he had to do that day to that horrible Sorceress...
...He murdered her... With his own "hands"...
...Even though he had severely wounded Melissa, a part of him still wondered if there was really no other way than killing the witch: Couldn't the gods really be put in prison? Couldn't they reason? Was there no other way to stop them from causing death and destruction?
"GO!"
Izuku's thoughts were soon cut off thanks to [Present Mic]'s booming voice. Whatever it was, this was now the path he would take to be a "Hero" and prove to [All-Might], the world and himself, that he could also protect others, even if his main "Quirk" had been obtained from the god of deception and evil from the Nordic Myths.
"WHAT HAPPENS?! THERE'S NO COUNTDOWN IN REAL LIFE! COME ON!"
The shout startled the other boys and Izuku barely reacted as he simply started walking forward after the other candidates had beaten him to it. It looked like he would be the last to reach the assessment area, however, soon his steps shot forward much faster than any human should have been able to without a speed enhancing "Quirk". Before he reached the fake city, he outpaced almost all the other candidates, except for the one with the engine in his legs and that girl who jumped like a frog. Now he was much faster than before, but the improvements that his body had received thanks to the goddess Pandora, didn't improve much his "Agility" attribute, but the hardness of his bones, mainly.
In any case, a few seconds later, Izuku stopped running and looked up to observe the first robots that appeared on the scene; he took a moment to admire them as he breathed deeply, letting the joy and enthusiasm for being here fill his spirit completely; When the first and second of the robots were miserably destroyed by the Blue-haired boy and the brown-haired young woman, with a superhuman kick and punch respectively, he decided it was finally his turn to release the powerful and somewhat strange "Quirk" from within, but not before asking himself the following question: What didn't the girl's "Quirk" manipulate gravity? Her physical training couldn't have allowed her to destroy something like that so easily, could it? Why did it seem that a small pink lightning flashed through her body? ...
... He didn't have much time to think about the strangeness of the woman's demonstration of super-strength or her Quirk, since his concentration immediately shifted to his "Toys": In the recent past he might have been left to mutter absentmindedly about the Quirk characteristics he was just discovering even in a situation like this, but fortunately his asperger's syndrome was cured when he was reborn as an [Inhuman] along with old injuries caused by the abuse he suffered throughout his junior high and high school years; And furthermore, His "Quirk" made him more self-confident and somewhat "crazy" to the extent that he now had a personality that retained much of his former "essence" but at the same time made him a "bit" impulsive and uninhibited in many ways; His main "Quirk" could not be used at all if certain conditions were not met, so constantly (among other things) his "Quirk" "asked" him for a little destruction from time to time, so he was not going to make his "crazy instincts" wait more than they should.
Immediately after, the third of the robots in the scene approached him, with its arm raised to attack; Izuku then swung his hands and took between them the robot's limb and with a pull made with some effort managed to detach it to later use one of his fists against the cybernetic being, which fell back a little backwards after the fist hit his "chest" hard, a dent was printed on the metal but it seemed that it would continue working without any problem.
Seeing that, Midoriya remembered that even though he had grown a bit and even though his musculature had toned up after his bones, cartilage and muscles were enhanced by his "foster mother" to the degree of becoming "something" with a density slightly higher than the strongest steel on earth, it didn't mean that he could exert a level of strength equal to that of his "components" of his strange body. Make no mistake, he was not disappointed, he was very grateful that his "Base" form was now more useful for "Heroics", but he had to admit that it didn' t compare at all with the capabilities of his "Quirk" so after seeing the minimal damage caused to the synthetic being, with a somewhat wild grin in between he set out to "activate" it.
"I will glide through the battlefields of the sunset of the gods, full of lightning and beasts; I will climb the tree of the world, and steal from the thunder what it cherishes most" —For some reason the green-haired man enunciated at that moment a series of words that seemed a kind of incantation and as he continued with his speech, a light-green aura surrounded his body at the same time that a large number of dark-green runes covered every inch of the skin that was not covered by his sports attire —" I am not evil, or good, I am only duality incarnate. And no matter what form I take, I will always get what I desire. May the snake skin deceive everyone!" —Saying that, the runes on his body glowed mystically, and the next moment, with another mystical glow in between...
...A Velociraptor about 2 meters tall and with a pattern of green and black scales covering its body had unexpectedly appeared on the scene, standing right where Izuku had been a thousandth of a second ago!
Crash* *Crash* *Crash* *Crash* *Crash*- Then, with its "Terrible" Claw, the velociraptor attacked! It dismembered the synthetic creature in no time with its sharp claws and powerful jaws!
"It did it! My damn "Quirk" did it! Hahahahaha! I should have experimented with dinosaurs long before, I always wanted to become one of these things~!"—Apparently the Velociraptor could speak, as Izuku's "thick" voice was emitted from the beast's jaws after it destroyed the robot, it sounded like the combination of Midoriya's voice together with the voice of a beast. So by the looks of it, Midoriya had somehow become a primordial 'hunter'.
*Crash* *Crash* *Crash* *Crash* *Crash*-Past the above, after the "reptile" thought that he had to become a hero who would not allow tragedies like the one in I-Island to happen and mentally wished Melissa luck in the test she was surely already having in other of the fake cities fabricated for this exam, with a feral "grin" in his new reptilian "form", Izuku soon forgot all his worries, and the rest of his thoughts were focused on the destruction of his prey as the pupils of his bestial eyes "opened" as they focused on the numerous robots that were still in sight and the numerous robots that followed him.
"Roaaaaaaaaaaaar!"-With a roar of Velociraptor in between, running like the wind and tearing like a butcher, the beast disarticulated with its powerful claws and jaws the cybernetic beings, in no time and without any consideration.
Yup. I became a velociraptor! It became one of my favorite forms after that: Fast, strong, accurate, intelligent and brutal: A hunter worth "imitating".
But make no mistake, my "Quirk" is not like the power of DC-Comics' "Beast-Boy", but something better.
Unlike that fictional hero, My first "Quirk" allows me to adopt practically any "form" I can imagine: Other people, Animals, Plants, Objects, and even fruits and vegetables are included...I once imitated "Rick", but...*sigh*...my pickle form didn't have such an epic adventure.
In any case, I will become stronger, more durable or faster, depending on how strong, durable or fast I think the chosen form will be, so in the case of becoming an animal, it won't necessarily have the strength of the original animal, but will generally be much stronger. I can also speak and retain my attributes as a "Campione" regardless of the form I adopt and I can even understand the language of animals. Although I can't "change my hair color" every time I transform which "limits" a bit its "hiding" function and there are "rules" that don't allow me to adopt a very abstract, big or strong form let alone "copy" other "Quirks". But there are "special forms" that bypass these rules...
...Which, you will 'meet' sooner or later.
"Concentrate on that"— Nedzu said as the teachers watched the test, the main screen changed to show what appeared to be a green Velociraptor about 2 meters tall; The "predator" was rampaging through the robots that had the misfortune to encounter it. Shortly thereafter, what was once a velociraptor, turned into a gorilla with a dark-green coat, which began to nimbly climb the building in front of him.
"Oooh, looks like that guy has a pretty strong transformation-type Quirk. Oh, and look at that brown-haired girl, she's not doing too bad either. Oh, and that other boy with the exploding hands already had quite a few robots on his account - no doubt we'll have several surprises this year!"
"I agree with you 'Mic', but it looks like he'll have competition if he ever gets into the academy; That blonde girl with the glasses looks like she also has another kind of "Quirk" that transforms her...But I don't know if she turned into a big snake or...A lamia?..In any case, along with that other guy who turned into some kind of Lion-Bear, they are Beasts that are doing almost as well as he is. Though from the looks of all of them, they'll probably go into the 'heroes who look like villains' list, hehehehe"
"Geez, 'Snipe', don't call them villains so hastily. Before transforming, that girl seemed to be too cute to be a villain~And that youngster with the green hair is good looking despite being able to turn into an evil dinosaur~"
"Midnight, I remind you that they are still 17 years old. And that if accepted, even if they turn 18, they'd be your students..."
"Eraser, stop ruining my fun~"
Having said that, the screen showed how a robot jumped from a roof and pounced on the green gorilla's back; it seemed that it would hit him in his blind spot, but almost as if it were an interpretation of a scene from Matrix, in an instant and as absurd as it may seem (given the size and type of animal) with a great pirouette in between, the huge primate turned backwards in the air a centimeter before the robot hit him; Then, when he positioned himself on the synthetic being's back, with a side kick he destroyed the robot miserably, without any effort whatsoever. The teenager about to become an adult, then jumped off the building and continued his way through the fake city, occasionally rescuing other candidates from danger. He didn' t always use the asphalt of the streets to move, he also continued to jump nimbly over the walls of houses and buildings, using them as a support to change direction in an instant; at other times he turned into a huge bat or a Pterodactyl, whose claws on his feet caught different cybernetic beings and dropped them from the heights. Sometimes he would also anchor himself to a wall with the claws of his feet when he returned to the form of a "raptor": He would then run along the concrete walls at an incredibly fast speed, which didn't correspond to the animal he represented, even if it was in itself an animal that was supposed to be fast; those scenes were a bit reminiscent of when Alex-Mercer or Sergeant James-Heller run through buildings in their respective videogames, although in this case it was a prehistoric being. Channels of pavement were created in the walls of the buildings behind its footsteps, and glass shattered like paper; it looked like some kind of small "Tank" in motion, very fast.
The UA director smiled as he watched the prehistoric being dispatch a robot that had knocked down another student with a terrible headbutt and then savagely ripped off the limbs of another robot with a fierce bite just before flying off into the air as it turned into a green-haired spider monkey that used its powerful legs to leap to the roof of a large building, where it would encounter another robot, which it "pieced" by returning to being a "raptor" and using the claws on its legs.
"Hey look! I don't remember a spider monkey being able to jump that high!". Midnight asked. "He also seems to be too fast, even if he turns into a Gorilla...And I don't remember a Velociraptor being able to run up walls...Or did I miss something from Hollywood or does this guy have more than one quirk? Or will it be part of his Quirk's characteristics?"
"I wouldn't say that"-Nedzu chuckled as he watched 'Snipe' take his electronic Tablet to search the files for the file that pertained to that student. He was more curious about the director's interest in the boy than anything else, since to him, the boy's 'Quirk' seemed to be quite simple. When he read the contents of that file, 'Snipe' wondered if what was written was a childish prank by the principal. He planned to ask him about it later, but surely Nedzu would deny everything.
In any case, his thoughts were cut off when 'Midnight' approached him to subsequently recite the contents of the tablet in a low voice.
"Hmmm, let me see that too. Izuku Midoriya, 17 years 10 months old, born in Musutafu...Blah, Blah, Blah...Ah, here it is!...Peculiarity awakened at age 5:..."— She paused as she couldn't help but feel somewhat confused as just like 'Snipe' she thought what she was reading was a joke; Simply much of the information was too exaggerated compared to what she was seeing on screen and in turn there was a great lack of information, which was what bothered her the most. She spoke again in which she placed a bitter smile as she continued reading— "Quirk: Snake Moult; Allows Izuku Midoriya to transform into almost anything he desires, even a race that doesn't exist such as a Hobbit or a TV Alien, though he can't always use his 'essential' abilities in these cases. If it weren't for the fact that he can't change "the color of his hair" every time he transforms, each of his forms would hide him almost perfectly from any danger. He can also adopt powerful "forms" that have the potential to bring the twilight of the gods, Ragnarok, to earth...What about this last statement...?...And why is this file missing a sea of information?!"
Midnight's complaints continued, and the opinions of the teachers in the room were not long in coming as Nedzu watched them with an amused smile in between as he gave a sidelong glance at the muscular [All-Might] in the room. The latter, rather than being surprised or intrigued (by the fact that the boy was only 150 points away from the record he set when he was a candidate years ago), seemed worried;
Very worried... His mutterings only audible to Nedzu were not long in coming as he continued to focus all his attention on the green "Beast Boy" on the screen as his chin rested between his thumb and forefinger. Conspiratorial ideas replaying very quickly in his head.
"That boy... he looks too familiar...Those freckles, the green hair...Is that him?...Midoriya, Midoriya? I heard that name before...Right, it's that young man who hung up on me!...But his appearance changed a bit...H-He lied to me?...No, I don't think so... He didn't have any Quirk months ago. So, how did he get the Quirk? Is it 'AFO'?...If I didn't make a mistake, there is no other explanation... Maybe he knows that I will teach in this school...Oh No!... No, No, No, No, No, No, No!...A moment ago I thought I felt a "Quirk aura" of an "Inhuman" coming right from that examination area!...Wasn't it my imagination?!...Hmmmm, Nedzu is smiling suspiciously..."
Finished with those deductions, the muscular man let out the following whisper, "You've got to be kidding me!"...Which, was heard by the mouse-man near him.
"Hahaha! Looks like you finally figured it out Toshinori~. Didn't you 'feel' the birth of the new 'Inhuman' a few weeks ago?. Turns out he's Japanese. The hero commission hid the information from the masses very well, as usual~"
"Impossible, Nedzu, what have you done?! Why in heaven's name did you accept one of those 'anomalies' into the hero course?!".
Speaking in a tone that was only audible to them due to the closeness of their seats and their voices enunciated in the lowest possible tilde, the bear-mouse-thing, continued to speak with his classic maniacal grin in between.
"Well, the Safety Commission made me an offer I couldn't refuse. After all, in theory, without 'AFO', Japan should now be his territory, shouldn't it?"-Nedzu shrugged, and continued. He was still smiling playfully-"...and analyzing his path as a hero will be the most fun I'll see since in the USA, England and Russia, [King], [Black Angel] and [Tornado] were titled from their respective academies! Hohoho!"
"First of all, we are no longer in the Pre-Quirk age, we can take on the 'Inhumans', just like we did with 'AFO'... And are you seriously setting those three as an example?. Even if those two and her are the only ones of the now 8 who are full-fledged heroes, their disaster rates place them among the worst heroes, and let's remember they're insane. All them are insane!... Not only [All-For-One], The [Black Angel 'Theodorick'] is another great example of them all: he is a Misogynist and Egolatrous who steals whatever he pleases and is only tolerated in his nation because he 'convinced' the 'Magisterium' of England to make him the King! He is the 'heroic president' of a nation that causes international conflicts at every turn!" *2
"Certainly the 'Inhumans' don't think the same way as we do, and some of our kind can also stand up to them compared to the Pre-Quirk age, but that will only bring immeasurable disasters. Didn't Japan take too long to defeat 'AFO'? ...Hmmmm, Interesting, where would that put you? Are you crazy too? Hahaha!"
"You know very well that I'm a very different case! *sigh* Anyway, then we'll continue talking about this craziness *sigh*. And in any case, why didn't you put it in the recommended test?"
"Believe it or not, he rejected it~"
"Uh?!"
*Doooong*-The conversation between them soon had to be cut short, as they were interrupted by the announcement signaling the last two minutes of the test, and with that, they saw the huge zero pointer rise from the ground, leaving the examinees fleeing in terror.
"Looks like it's fun time." 'Midnight' said to herself.
"Damn!"—growled 'Ectoplasm', pointing to a screen, where a violet-black-haired teenage girl appeared trapped in some rubble—"There's a girl who got trapped right in the path of the Executor Robot. Someone of us must go save her!"
"Wait"— Nedzu ordered as the teacher started to move, everyone looked at him strangely as he pointed at the main screen; the boy from before suddenly came to the side of the teenage girl, crouched in a stance as he opened his mouth to reveal his wide velociraptor fangs, as if about to consume his prey.
"What Is he doing?!" [Snipe] gasped, "Is he about to attack her?"
For the moment I will omit the tragic events that occurred with the aforementioned "Baba-Yaga" and resolve a 'little', 4 of the doubts that you surely still have:
1) What is an authority?: Quite simple, it is the power exercised by the gods. Like them, authorities are "crystallized stories" that take the form of a power/attribute that has been mentioned in their legend and/or that they are said to be able to use. If you've seen, played and/or read any of fate-Stay-Night or the other versions of that "lore", think of authorities as "Noble-Phantasm" and gods as "Servants". A god with an "invincible" sword will have an authority that allows him to "manifest" or "invoke" a sword that cuts everything, a god of death can revive the deads with his authority, etc...
2) Who is Pandora?: Literally, she is the Pandora mentioned in the Greek myth. She is a sorceress goddess who lives in a "world" outside the earthly plane, and who created a magic system that allows to obtain a powerful "Quirk" to a human being born without a gift, as long as he kills a god, of course...And by the way, she alters the body of the "champion" to be strong enough to exert his/her power to the maximum level since he/she is "reborn", which avoids situations like breaking your arms by a force that you don't control. In my case, I got the authority of "Loki-Veles" which represents him as a "Shape-Shifter", although it is not just something as simple as that. But more importantly, "she" in one way or another, also "created" the Quirks, although they were never in the original plans of her "system", as I recall.
3) Why recite an incantation to activate a Quirk?: It's not about any eighth grade syndrome or anything like that... For the moment I will only say that it "satisfies" some "Quirks", specifically those "born" from an authority. Why? It's like a way of "asking" permission to the magic inside the "Quirk" to be used, and that allows the release of its full potential from day one.Don't try too hard to understand this for now, the time will come when you will understand it...Or maybe not...It took me a long time to understand this too. However, after many uses, the "enchantment" can be "skipped".
4) So, if the Quirks are not "Genes" product of an evolutionary change like the X-Men style, what are they?: Stories of the fantasies of human beings or mythologies that "crystallized" in the form of a "special Gene" thanks to the "Second Pandora's blessing". They are intended to offer another help to the human race in its fight against the heretic-gods. They can be authorities or powers of mythological beast or powers of other fairy-tale creatures, like powers of 'Alice in neverland,' Peter-Pan, etc. Although the 'Peculiar' with a 'Quirk' 'born' from an authority, are quite rare, like "All-Might", and need to train their bodies in an unmanly and absurd way to be able to use their powers 100%...Back to the point, those "stories" have been adapted to the concept of genetics that humanity has widely used at "future" dates, and have taken the form of "special genes" containing a "myth" that grants the power of that "myth" to the "Peculiar" human being. ...See, I told you that you would not understand much of this...A story that has a life of its own and adapts according to the will of humanity and its user, is very complex to understand, isn't it?...So let's leave this for another time...
...But in short, this means that all "Peculiars" human beings are, in essence, demi-gods...
Yeah, I didn't expect that either, when I heard it the first time...
"YOU YOUTH, THAT'S THE ROBOT THAT'S WORTHLESS!" Mic shouted as he knows, "YOU'D BETTER AVOID IT!"
Izuku watched as the giant robot slammed one of it hands into the building near him, sending debris madly downward, and directly onto the other students and the rest of the little synthetic beings. A wry smile was drawn on his face as he watched all the other examinees run away in panic; more than a month ago, he would have had the same reaction, but now his blood just boiled at the 'little' challenge he had set not far away from him; it was a pity that huge artifact wasn't worth any points, so he didn't want to get his hands dirty with something that wouldn't give him any prizes.
"Ouch!"
On the other hand, Kyoka Jiro groaned as she tried to pull herself back from the debris that had her foot pinned down, the world 'swimming' around her as her ears bled from the overuse of her Quirk; She was completely exhausted. Seconds later, she heard the sound of footsteps echoing in her exhausted ears. As she looks up unsteadily, she notices how a huge green lizard approached her as it leapt like an animal over the rubble.
"Are you okay?". He asked, looking at his leg with his sharp gaze for a moment, before his reptilian eyes darted towards the zero pointer hovering above them, "I'll get you out of here, don't worry! I'm a good dinosaur, I won't eat you!...*Wink*...At least not if you don't give me a reason~"
Jiro watched with some confusion as... A Velociraptor had just winked at her in an act of flirtation?...Or was it just a joke? ...He then dug his claws under the large piece of debris that held her, the young girl swaying slightly as she also looked at the robot; An instant later, she was already being carried by the 'Raptor' in a bridal manner, which she couldn't help but make her feel embarrassed, and very confused.
"Ready to go lady?", the boy murmured playfully, as his eyes focused on the girl's neck as his nostrils expanded wide, sniffing her for a moment...and opening his jaws, little by little.
...Which made Jiro blink in confusion, suddenly the boy went from being her savior, and became someone who was going to bite her neck...? Was it the perfume she put on? Was she seeing things, or was he sniffing her?...For a moment the confusion turned into a slight feeling of fear when his fangs were only centimeters away from her skin as the seconds passed without him moving from that place.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, stop doing that! If you want to eat me or propose a Reptile-Human date, do it another time, we're about to be crushed by a robot the size of a skyscraper, you know?! What the hell are you thinking?! We have to get out of here, now!". Tired and frustrated by the boy's strange attitude, Jiro asked and enunciated with a bit of anger and discomfort mixed in her voice.
A second later, upon hearing her, Midoriya's Reptilian eyes stopped looking unfocused; shaking his head as he looked directly into her eyes this time, he said the following words with a bit of sorrow mixed with a bit of sarcasm, and sass just as he adopted the human form of a green-haired boy, wearing a generic sport uniform:
"Sorry...Sometimes I can become somewhat wild, if I take the form of a predator. So I guess it's habit~. You're AB negative type and I guess...That seemed pretty good to the 'Raptor' and I guess to the 'Tyrannosaurus'~"
"What?!". Jiro didn't know what exactly those words meant, if they were a joke or not, she only knows that the next moment, the huge hand of a robot was about to crush them both.
*Booom*- However, when she opened her eyes again after she was inexplicably still alive, she saw how the foot of a dark-green furred gorilla was stopping the huge fist, with its bare sole; Large cracks forming under the concrete of the other Primate's foot that was still fixed to the asphalt; He hadn't moved a single centimeter.
"Playing dirty, eh? You're gonna need more than that to stand a chance," he said in a loud, confident voice as he stood on one foot, with Jiro still being carried in a bridal fashion.
A second later, a robotic voice manifested itself on the scene, its epicenter being the massive synthetic being's head.
*Threat Detected. Initiating extermination protocol.*
Jiro blinked in bewilderment, and a second later sweat began to seep from every pore of her head...
...And an instant later, Izuku also made the same eye movement, when he noticed how a portion of the robot's chest opened, to reveal a kind of 'mirror' that began to turn red as the sound of a laser being charged reverberated through the scene. He tried to free himself to run away, but his primate foot was stuck in the thick and seemingly durable metal of the cybernetic being; he could adopt a smaller form to free himself, but that would mean he would lose strength as he 'imagined' himself weaker than a 'Gorilla' and would therefore be crushed by the constant force exerted by that giant limb of the synthetic being. he could also increase a little more in size, but that would not do much good. Or he could turn into a fly and fly away, but that would leave the girl defenseless.
Realizing the situation he had gotten himself into as a result of his 'crazy' tendencies, Midoriya could only utter one sentence: "Damn my luck..."
You see, somes 'Quirks' obtained directly from the Gods, don't always seem to be very useful at first glance. And at other times, they have rules and conditions for them to release their true potentials, all with the intention of "Protecting" their user from their abysmal power; And the latter was my case. Depending on the circumstances, I could be as "weak" as "Jurota" in his "beast mode" or absurdly strong; so given certain circumstances, I was both a level "100" and a level "7" creature, speaking in terms of physical strength in an RPG. However, even if that thing had crushed me several times without me using my Quirk I wouldn't have died, thanks to the 'modified' durability of my body I would have only come out with a broken bone or two, not to mention that my skin has a "good" resistance to the effect of emitter-type Quirks, so an 'Inhuman' can't be classified only by its physical strength.
And despite what you may think, now that I look back I'm deeply grateful for not having absurd physical strength all the time: I've read many comics where extremely powerful heroes go into depression when they win battles too easily. I didn't understand it before, but when I "embraced" the chaos inside me, I could see it: All heroes are in one way or another Warriors, and there couldn't be something more regrettable for a warrior, than to lose the battle spirit and the joy for the fight. Most heroes are going to tell you that this is bullshit, and that a hero should only fight for the good of others, etc. Etc...Blah, blah, blah... But they are only fooling themselves, or they are hypocrites...
...Believe me, I got an authority from Loki, who is also the God of lies; so I have a 'form', who notices things like that very easily...
...There is so much hypocrisy and lies in the world of heroes, that disappointed me on many levels. I thought it was a semi-perfect world with characters always fighting for the common good, but the reality of things is that a large part of them are just warriors or humans trying to survive in a world with a new "Status Quo". Which, upon further analysis, isn't so bad: it makes them quite human, imperfect, and I ended up liking that even more than my old notion of heroes and of course, I ended up having a lot of fun in a strange way.
"EXTERMINATION PROTOCOL!"— Those who were unaware of said protocol, in the evaluation room screamed as they looked in horror at the boys who were about to be vaporized by what appeared to be a giant laser living in the 'thorax' of a giant robot.
"What the hell is the Extermination protocol?!"—Intensely growled 'Cements' into the air as he watched several of the professors leave the room, running as fast as they could towards that evaluation area, even though they knew it was already too late...
"Why didn't you deactivate that function, Nedzu, are you crazy?!". —Powerloader added with great anger, and with great internal grief knowing that he had participated in the creation of such weaponry. —"That's too dangerous a thing to be used in a pre-college test! It should be deactivated, Nedzu!"
"Hohoho, calm down there 'Powerloader', it's not entirely my fault. Actually, ever since 'Endeavor' participated in this test, I've always kept this protocol partially deactivated; it only kicks in, when it encounters a 'Peculiar' who manages to stand up to it. Let's say it's my way of testing those examinees who stand out from others; that's why with Endeavor, unforeseen situations also occurred!...In addition, I 'degrade' the laser loading time as a precaution."
"That's too much to test them, even if you slowed down the laser charge time! That thing can destroy more than one city block!"
"Hohoho, there's nothing for you to worry about. Look, the kid is already solving the situation by himself~"— To the annoyance of Powerloader, and almost everyone else present, Nedzu squeaked with amusement with a bit of 'psychopathy' as he applied with his remote control a function to the screen, which completely focused on Midoriya's figure, which was strangely changing into something they didn't seem to quite know what it was.
"He turned into a Crystal man?!...What?!...How did he do that?!"— 'Midnight' released her astonishment just a little before the rest of the other masters still present did too, except for 'All-Might', to whom it seemed that the attitude the boy had was too improper; He had acted too confidently, and that had put the girl in danger; For him, this was definitely going to be a year full of troubles.
"What do you mean you can't break free?!"
"I told you, my foot got stuck...And this thing keeps trying to lift me. We have about the same strength; AND I can only use one of my limbs...Or do you want me to send you flying away to avoid the giant laser? Because I can do that, although I don't want you to get hurt from the fall."
*Charge to 30% Beep Beep Beep Beep!*
"I understand, but...why?! Why do you look so calm?!"
"Well...When you're facing a crazy witch who controls thousands of wraiths: a giant robot with an incredibly slow laser inside it chest, it's not something that puts too much pressure o..."
*Charge to 40% Beep Beep Beep!*
"Stop talking already and try to find a solution!...You said a moment ago that you could take the form of a Tyrannosaurus, didn't you?!"
"Uh...Aaah...Hmmm...Yes?. Actually, I just said it as a joke, I guess, I've never tried it...But maybe it wouldn't do any good. With the 'Basic' mode I can only 'grow' to 7 meters tall, so instead of T-Rex, it would be more like an Allosaurus, And ironically despite the size, the strength of that 'form' won't be superior to the Gorilla."That said, the gorilla scratched the back of his neck with one hand with a bit of embarrassment, and then resumed charging the girl in a bridal fashion.
*Charge to 50% Beep Beep Beep!
"Just shut up and do what it takes to get us out of here! Transform yourself into something that's more useful!"
"Something more useful, huh?...Hmmmm, I think I can do that, but you're probably going to be very confused. Even I don't know what I'm made of in that state."
*Charge to 70% Beep Beep Beep!*
"Just do it! That thing on his chest just got redder already!...Transform, now!"— Jiro with her survival instinct kicking in at a mile a minute and with the boy's overconfidence being displayed, couldn't help but lose all the calmness inside her; A 'calmness' she had managed to bring to a good level, thanks to the previous training she had received before undertaking her university studies.
A blink later, the boy raised his head to look directly into the 'eyes' of the robot while his skin was filled again with green Runes, but this time there was a change; In addition to the Runes, in the chest area of the gorilla, appeared a kind of magic circle and/or seal that had drawn a figure that seemed to be a snake biting its tail vertically, thus forming a figure similar to an 8. After that, a powerful and 'electric' green aura strongly enveloped Izuku's body just as that magic circle covered the boy's body with its glow, while his eyes glowed mystically and sinisterly for a moment *3

"Don't blame me in case more than one building collapses, huh." He said to the girl with a bit of mischief in his voice as he stood. And then he placed her on the ground carefully, just to then focus his attention back on the robot in what an even wilder smile than the one he put on a few minutes ago manifested on his face; It was time to awaken the dormant power within him.
Then, with a voice that gradually became higher pitched and distorted, he recited some kind of incantation...—"For I am the greatest among the Jötnar! Truly, I am the one who brings each and every misfortune. No matter who faces me, be it God, Demon or Giant...I can face all my enemies, and crush them without mercy. Whatever it takes, with the power of the Earth as my ally I will turn to dust those who stand in my way!"—...an incantation that didn't seem at all "Heroic" that allowed him at that moment to "activate" a piece of a Quirk that probably wouldn't be considered very "Heroic" for someones.
An even larger green aura filled with emerald lightning soon grew around Izuku's body, which in the next moment revealed something that could only be described as a living being made of ice... Or other minerals...

*Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*
-[O. O]-And then Jiro gasped in shock and a little frightened, not from watching as the boy from one moment to the next after he 'glowed' turned into a sort of green Crystal Man (or maybe Jade as he was not transparent) standing a little over two meters tall and who was wearing shorts ( and whose hair now standing upwards, had 'frozen' into a 'crystalline' or 'stalactite' form) but because that "Green Mineral" creature was "eating" the 'powerful' laser that only a thousandth of a second ago had fired from the massive robot. That Jade Man that except for the color was almost identical to the best "comic book" design of the "Ice-Man" form of the "X-Men" was swallowing the Laser as if it was a simple breakfast! The light and the energy of that shot were "distorted" and shrunk when they approached the big open mouth of the "Giant" as if its throat was a black hole!
*Craaaaaaaaash* -After that, after 'Cracks' appeared in his body that seemed to emanate fire, as if it was some kind of green rock cracking through 'lava veins' and after he smiled mischievously and he´s look became 'sharp', the 'Jade Man' with his thick hands took one of the robot's arms and dismembered them as if they were nothing.
*Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaking* *Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash*...Subsequently, in less than a blink of an eye, Jiro observed how huge portions of earth 'impaled' the huge robot from one moment to the next, after the green-haired man stepped on the ground (causing a great tremor that spread around the surrounding area). The Earth deformed and 'grew' as if it had a life of its own, expanding and contracting from the ground beneath and to one side of the synthetic being and turning in less than two seconds into massive 'Stone Spikes' that pierced from multiple directions into the synthetic creature, turning it into a pitiful 'Impaled' scrap that now rested 'dead' halfway between two large buildings, partially destroyed also by the spikes of the 'Stone Spikes'. On the other hand, due to the tremor, some nearby buildings had also partially collapsed. .
She never expected something like that; performing further analysis, if he was some kind of 'Jade Man', wasn't he supposed to have controlled the 'Jade' instead of the Earth?:...but who was she to think about what was right or wrong for the green 'crystal' man?; he had just eaten the energy of a laser after all!: Jiro had the above thoughts before or after watching as the boy returned to his 'original' human form, wearing that set of generic clothes.
"Hehehehe!"
After hearing his somewhat wild and out-of-place laughter along with that wild grin and after witnessing that, Jiro thought that boy was some sort of Super-Green Rock-Man, or something like that...And a 'battle maniac'. She had never heard of there being such a powerful 'Quirk' of that kind.
Thereupon, she gasped again as a hand grabbed her arm, lifting her easily into the air before falling into a pair of strong arms, the green haired young man was smiling towards her now in a normal manner, which she had to admit embarrassed her a little again, so she turned her head to the side for a moment to avoid him noticing her blush.
"I'll carry you out of here." As he carried her, he pondered. "You're hurt, so you need medical attention and let's not forget that because of me you almost had a heart attack a moment ago~"— Jiro's embarrassment dropped several notches when she heard the Young Man's light sarcasm.
She then turned to look him in the eyes again, this time frowning slightly as she directed the words back at him:
"That you couldn't have transformed into 'it' long before that thing launched the laser?!"
"I guess...But...Don't you think it was more fun that way?~"
"More fun? More fun?! We were almost incinerated! What are you, crazy?!"
"Hey! *sigh* Without a little adrenaline in your veins, how could you call life a life?"
"What?! Don't try to take the philosophical route on this!"
"Oh come on, relax a little. We were never in any real danger. So take a breath~*Sigh*. If you keep building up adrenaline with your anger, when it wears off those ankles are going to hurt a lot more than they should!"
"Uh?! Hmmmmmmm, I hadn't thought of that...You're right, I'd better try to forget what just happened *Sigh*...I didn't expect you to be smart as well as crazy."
"I'm not crazy!"
"Well, your recent actions speak for themselves. I don't think you think in a very normal way"
"Aaaaah. *sigh* I think it's my Quirk's fault. I had nothing to do with it."
"Oh please, don't pull out the typical 'Quirk' excuse to explain your actions~... Anyway...What were you supposed to have become just now?"
Before answering, Midoriya frowned a little, for once again someone else didn't believe him when he told him the truth. He had already realized that he had changed substantially, he was no fool: He went from being an intelligent, nervous and naive boy with a strong will, to someone who was sure of himself, but who had gradually acquired a somewhat distorted taste for 'fighting'... To mention some changes: He still didn't know for sure, but every time he used that 'form' of his Quirk, his mind 'opened' and became more 'free' and 'lax' in front of 'concepts', thoughts, ideas or situations that he used to keep/inhibit/suppress with suspicion inside.
Thinking the above, he replied to the girl with the 'headphones' in a light-hearted manner— "Believe it or not, that's a Jötunn."
"A...Jötunn?...What is that?"
"A giant from Norse mythology."
"O.o?...Oooooook...Ah!, I remember now!. In the Marvel movies and comics they talk about them. But, aren't they supposed to be made of Ice?...What is that shape made of?"
"I was thinking the same thing a month ago, but they're not all ice. Hmmm, even I'm not sure what I'm made of when I become Jötunn."
"What a strange 'Quirk' you have. And what's with all the speech you said before you transformed? You seem to have the classic eighth grader syndro..."
"Don't say that! I'm not a 'Chūnibyō'!. It's my Quirk's fault! I swear!" *4
"Aha, sure, whatever you say champ~...Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, and if we ever get into the UA, I'll keep your 'dark' secret~"— Jiro couldn't help but enunciate mischievously while smiling mischievously after noticing the blush and sorrow that had 'activated' on the young man's face. It seemed that there were still things that could embarrass him quite a bit.
Afterwards, she continued to let him hold her gently in his arms, while he turned his face away from her to prevent her from noticing his growing embarrassment.
Jiro would never have expected that that day would forge the foundation of a relationship with the 'Inhuman' who would be named by Hero associations around the world, as the King of Chaos.
Well, I' m not only called 'King of Chaos'. My second wife, Jiro, still calls me 'Crazy's King', but I think she exaggerates. Doni is the 'Inhuman' who is truly insane!
Hmmm, they also call me 'King of Deception', or 'Black Mage', but that's less common.
Now, I guess you're a little confused about the 'form' I've just adopted, so let me explain the matter a bit: My Quirk has 'two modes' so to speak. The first one, I call 'Runes of the Serpent': Which allows me to adopt almost any form I want and freely but with the limitations I told you about a moment ago. The second 'modality' I call, 'The 5 masters of Deception'. It turns out that when certain specific conditions are met, my 'Quirk' allows me to 'access' once in a while to one of the 5 most representative 'forms' that "Loki-Veles" has in mythology and to the 'abilities' that these 'forms' have in their myths, whether they were 'directly' mentioned abilities or abilities that were born from the 'symbolism' that mankind has given to that 'form'.
For now, I'll just tell you a little about the 'Jötunn-Trigger'. The Jötnar (whose etymology is: "Devourers" or "Eaters"; singular Jötunn) are a race of primordial beings that inhabit the worlds of Niflheim, Muspellheim and Jotunheim in Nordic mythology. The best known Jötnar are the Frost/Ice, Fire, Storm, Earth and Mountain Giants. They personify wild, chaotic, primordial forces and often interact with the gods (both Aesir and Vanir), usually in a hostile manner. They were sometimes described as beings of 'normal' human shape and size that could become giants at will, as living elemental creatures (some sort of golems or something like that), as giant animals (Fenrir, and his children), among other things.
Since you understood that, 'Jötunn-Trigger', let me use the 'form' that represents Loki, par excellence...But don't be fooled by Marvel, in the mythology it was never said that he was specifically an Ice Jotunn; as you could read above, there is confusion regarding the term of a Jötunn. In any case, because of the above symbolism, this 'form' allows me to control the earth, similar to 'Diane' in Nanatzu-No-Taizai, it allows me to 'devour' 'fire' or its derivatives, my streng is "better" in this 'form'... and can I do other things that you will discover later. But this 'form' needs a 'sacrifice' that if I had known more in depth, I probably would not have used it so lightly...
...And unfortunately, to prevent the abysmal power contained in these 'forms' from harming me, the Quirk was 'adapted' so that each form of the '5 masters of deception' can only be used once, before being unusable for a week. So in retrospect, in my first few weeks at UA I should have been a little smarter about using them...
...You'll find that out later.
I hope the 'beginning' of my story didn't confuse you too much. Trust me, it will all make sense soon enough.
So you're welcome to the story of how I, Izuku Midoriya, became one of the most powerful and heroic 'Loki Variants' of all...
...And paradoxically, also one of the most chaotic.
Author's messages:
As you could observe, the 'theme' of Izuku's powers, is 'Loki' and the 'shape shifting' Why?: Well, Why not? I think it's quite interesting to develop a 'Loki variant Izuku' in a world full of gods, and I mean...He's already green.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this 'idea'. I send you my best regards. See ya
Chapter clarifications:
*1 Sakhalin Island, is an island that belongs to Russia, and is located a few hundred Kilometers north of Japan.
*2 "Theodorick" isn' t a "Campione" OC/OCC, he is a "Campione" that does exist in the original Campione series, he just doesn't appear in the anime, but yes in the Campione Sequel called "Lord of Realms" so he only exists for the moment in the Light Novel. And "canonically" that "Campione" is supposed to come from a parallel world different from Kusanagi Godou world and all the others, so I decided to include him in this one-shot because it would be an interesting idea to handle the world of midoriya in this fic as the original world of this new original God-Slayer.
*3 That symbol/magical circle, is the symbol of Loki that was 'portrayed' in the nordic mythology; It is similar to the symbol of the 'Uroboros'. If you search for it in 'google images', you will find it.
*4 Chūnibyō: Term used in manga/anime to refer to people who have acquired the eighth grade syndrome. If you still don't know what that is, take a look at google.
