.Chapter 2….
While having dinner at the Skellington household, eldest daughter Jezabela Skellington summoned a keyblade out of thin air. Everyone is stunned into silence from witnessing something so unprecedented. "Jezabela, how did you do that?" Jack asks, shocked and mesmerized by this. "Where did you even get one of those?"
"I have no idea, I'm just as surprised by this as you are!" A frantic and confused Jezabela looks at Sora for answers. "Sir Sora you must have some insight on this!"
Sora thinks back to when she held onto his keyblade and he wasn't able to summon it. "I'm making assumptions here, but I think when you held my Keyblade in your hands you gained the ability to materialize a keyblade of your own. Come to think this is oddly familiar somehow." Then a lightbulb goes off in his head when he remembers something. "Right now I remember, it's called bequeathing! It's normally supposed to be done like a ceremony, but it can be done simply by touching a keyblade."
"So what do we do about it, Sora?" A worried Sally asks Sora, Her eyes not leaving Jezabela's new Keyblade.
"Jezabela has been given a great power, How she chooses to use it is up to her. But having a Keyblade also comes with risks. The heartless will target her no matter where she goes." Sora's Gummy Phone rings in his pocket, Yin Sid's caller ID on the screen. "Hold on, it's my boss! He will know what to do!"
Sora takes the phone call to another room. "Good evening Sora, I need you to return to the tower! A massive invasion of Heartless has been sighted in Halloween town."
"Actually Master, I have something I need to talk about with you. I'm already in Halloween town and someone picked up my keyblade. Now they have a keyblade of their own, they are asking me what to do about it."
"Allow me to talk to them." Yin Sid orders Sora to return to the Skellington family, putting Yin Sid on speakerphone. "Good evening Skellington Family, congratulations on your victory over the heartless." To his left he spots Jezabela staring down at her new Keyblade. "You must be the new keyblade bearer, a pleasure to make your acquaintance young lady. I am Master Yin Sid, an authority on arcane knowledge."
Jezabela takes a polite bow to the elderly Keyblade master. "The Pleasure is all mine Master."
"That key of yours marks your potential for greatness, which is why I offer you a choice. I can train you to reach your fullest potential." Yen Sid bluntly offered her with a unchanging expression on his face the whole time. "I recommend consulting with your family. I look forward to your answer."
Jezabela walks outside to get away, heading towards the graveyard. She sits down atop spiral hill. She gazes up into the stars, looking like she is about to scream. "Hey there!" Sora sits down with Jezabela, patting her on the back. "I know it's a lot to take in, isn't it? You okay?"
Jezabela curls into a ball next to him. "I don't know what to do, Sir Sora! Since I was a little girl my father would tell me the stories of your exploits, about how you helped him not only save Halloween town but of the existence of other worlds somewhere." A shooting star passes by above them in the night's sky. "Just the very idea that something new is out there made me want to see it all for myself." She rests her head on his shoulder, a frown on her face. "But now that I actually have the opportunity, I'm terrified of leaving Halloween town behind."
Sora continues to pat her on the back. "Nobody said you have to leave Halloween town for good. It's your home and you can come back whenever you need to. No matter what choice you make, your family will accept it. But that's a conversation you have to have with them." Sora stands back up, offering his hand to Jezabela. "Remember you don't need to make up your mind right away, Take as much time as you need."
A bashful Jezabela hugs Sora under the full moon, only this time he is accepting of it. "Sir Sora, Thank you!"
From a distance Jack and Sally spot the two, Jack grinning from the sight. "Let's not spoil the moment." As they walk away Sally looks back at her daughter with a worried expression. "Sora is right, we need to let her make her own choices, and be supportive of whatever she chooses."
"Doesn't make this any less difficult, Jack." Sally tells her husband, who nods in agreement with her.
"Come on, we oughta get back to the house. By the way, you can just call me Sora." As he begins to walk away Jezabela summoned her keyblade, now looking at it with pride. She watches him walk back to her home, She smiles at him before she gets moving. After she catches up to him, she snuggles onto his arm again. A goofy grin on her face when she sees Sora blush. The locals around give the two a mix of different looks. Some witches quickly began gushing about it. Some of the men in town give Sora a look of jealousy. Sora is noticeably uncomfortable with all the attention.
"I hope Yin Sid let's me study with someone like you!" She optimistically tells him before kissing him on the cheek, leaving behind a black lipstick mark. Sora is so put off guard by the kiss he doesn't even notice he walked right into a street lamp. Jezabela giggled when she leaned over to help him back up.
After getting back up, a visibly flustered Sora tries playing it cool with a nervous chuckle. "Yeah well I'm sure whoever you get to teach you will be very grateful to have a beautiful…" He panics when he realizes what he just said. "I just said that part out loud didn't I?"
She nods her head to confirm his question. "If you'd like I can pretend you didn't." She offers with the very same mischievous grin her father makes.
"Appreciate it, thanks!" Sora answers back desperately. Jezabela returned to holding onto his arm.
A Corridor of Darkness opens up in front of them, A small figure in a Black coat with bunny ears steps out. Sora summons his Keyblade, gesturing for Jezabela to get behind him. The black hooded rabbit smirks when looking at Sora, Summoning a black and blue keyblade of his own. "So you're the kid who defeated that Xehanort guy and his convoluted plot for Kingdom hearts." The black hood's keyblade vanishes as he begins Clapping. "You did good that day kid, you got my respect. A shame about the consequences that followed."
"You have me at a disadvantage, how are you?"
"Who I am isn't important, I just have a favour to ask and I'll be on my way." He pulls his hood off his head. Showing a resemblance to King Mickey. "I want you to tell Mickey 'Ozzy says hello!" Bitterness drips out of every word of the message. Another Corridor opens up, but before this Ozzy takes one more look back at Sora. "And for the record Sora, You and I both deserve better friends."
After Ozzy vanishes, Jezabela looks at Sora skeptical at this random encounter. "Who was that?" Sora makes his Keyblade disappear as he looks back at her. "And what did he mean by better friends?
They make it back to the Skellington household, Sora looks uneasy. "I have no idea, but considering the timing, he may have had something to do with the Heartless Attack." After they open the door, Jack grabs both of them. "Is being a hugger run in the family?
"Yes." Both Jack and Jezabela casually answer in unison. Jack takes them to his study, where Sally is also waiting. "Please take a seat, we need to talk." Jack takes a seat atop of his desk, Sally joining him.
Both Sora and Jezabela sit down at the chairs. "I presume this is about my Keyblade father?" Jezabela matter of factly asks, Jack nods in agreement, but is cut off by Sally.
"We just want you to know, no matter what you choose." Sally holds her daughter's hand, looking her dead in the eye. "You're father and I will support your decision." Jack nods in agreement, supporting his wife's words. She looks at the black lipstick on Sora's cheek. "You better treat her right Sora."
"I'd be happy to look out for her, but I think Master Yin sid is a better teacher then I would be." Sora modestly answered, rubbing the back of his head.
"That's too bad because I want you." She says innocently enough before noticing the raised eyebrows from her parents and Sora. "I didn't mean it like that!"
"So does that mean…" Jack was about to ask, before Jezabela summoned her keyblade.
Jezabela turns to look at Sora with a goofy smile. "Only on the condition that you teach me Sora! I want nobody else!"
Sora rubs the bridge of his nose out of stress."I guess it's my responsibility, It was indirectly my fault you got your own keyblade." Sora and Jezabela shake hands.
The Next morning, Jezabela has her bags packed with and ready to board the Gummi ship. The last thing she grabs is a framed photograph of her family. "Sora was leaving home for the first time this difficult for you?"
Sora pats her on the back, thinking back to when the heartless made the Destiny Islands fall to darkness. "Of course, but unlike me you have a choice in the matter. But remember we can come back to visit whenever you want. Are you ready to say your goodbyes before we go?"
The two walk down the stairs to see the rest of the Skellington family waiting for them. Jack quickly embraced Jezabela, if he was able to cry he would be. "We're going to miss you Pumpkin Spice!"
"Father, I'm not gonna be gone for good!" Jezabela hugs her father back, a tear in her eye. "Halloween town will always be my home!" She looks up at her old man with a goofy grin on her face. "Plus Sora says we can stop by anytime!"
"Speaking of, Sora, would you please have a word with me?" Jack pushes Sora into another room. Before Sora can even talk, Jack covers his mouth with his skeletal hand. "No talking, just listening! I want you to understand something, so pay attention. Jezabela means the world to me, as you understand. While I trust you, I want your word no harm is going to befall her." His eye sockets burst into flames as he pins Sora to the wall. "Do we have an understanding!?"
Sora looks unfazed by Jack's attempt at intimidation. "Drop the act Jack, I'll protect her with my life. Jack looks down at Sora's Kingdom Key pointed at his chest. "The threats were not even necessary." Sora's keyblade fades away and the two shake hands as friends. "Believe me, I don't need any reminding of the Terror of the Pumpkin King." Both chuckle before bursting out laughing hysterically.
Back outside Jezabela is hugging her youngest siblings, A pair of twin skeleton toddlers. "I'll miss you both Cat and Jackie. Be good girls for Mother and Father." The oldest boy turns away, clearly upset that his big sister is going away. Jezabela hugs him from behind "I'll miss you too Danny, hold down the fort for me."
"Please stop by often, and be sure to eat right. oh and Remember to wash your eyepatch often to avoid infection." A visibly nervous Sally nags Jezabela, before the two hug it out. "Just please just come back safe."
"I'm Sorry mother, I know this is sudden. But this is something I feel I need to do."
Jack and Sora step out with Jezabela's bags "Hay sorry for the delay, Pumpkin Spice! Sora and I just needed to have a friendly chat before you leave."
Sora rolls his eyes at Jack's choice of words with a chuckle. "If that's your idea of a Friendly chat, I'd hate to see you actually threatening someone." He turns to Jezabela while getting out his gummi Phone. "Hey, Jezabela, how about one last picture together with the Family before we go?"
Jezabela's silver eye practically glows from her approval of the idea. "Great idea thank you!" The entire Skellington family prepares to have their picture taken. Jack has to take a knee in order to be in frame, arms around his entire family. With a simple push of a button, Sora takes the picture.
"Good work guys, it turned out great!" He turns the screen to show them, the Skellington family giving approving nods. "Come on, I need to call my ship down, and I'd rather not land in the center of town."
Jezabela tilts her head in confusion. "You have a ship? But we are nowhere near the Ocean?"
Sora carries her bags for her as they walk. "Not that kind of ship, this one flys." He suddenly chuckles as he thinks back to his first time in a Gummi ship. "I had a similar reaction when I first learned about them." They make it to the spot Oogie Boogie's lair once stood. "This should be a good enough spot." He pushes an app icon on the Gummi phone, summoning a large black and red Gummi-Ship from the sky. "Say hello to The RedWing, this is how I travel to other worlds." He pats the awestruck Jezabela on the back. "I guess now it's how WE travel to other worlds."
The cockpit opens up with Sora jumping inside to put her luggage in storage. Jezabela uses her Soul Robber to get in, Sees a set of stairs leading to a lower level. She goes down to see an untidy living area. Sora's dirty clothes litter the as well as an unmade bed and a couch. "Sora do you live in this thing?"
Sora looks down slightly ashamed of his living conditions. "Sort of, when you're always on the go you need a safe place to sleep. If you like, I can find an apartment or something. Finally put all that munny to use." He walks up to the pilot seat, preparing for take off. "You might want to buckle up." As he instructs, Jezabela sits down next to him. As they rise higher into the air they look down to see not only see the Skellingtons waving goodbye, but the entirety of Halloween town showing up to see Jezabela off.
The RedWing fires up its engines taking off in a flash of light. "So where do we go now, To Master Yen Sid?"
Sora nods as his Halloween town disguise fades away, revealing his normal clothes. Sora opens a keyhole shaped portal, and they soon approach a mystical tower. "And We're here." After landing they step inside, Jezabela looking around at her new surroundings in awe. "I kind of Envy you right now, to experience the excitement of adventure for the first time."
As they climb the Stairs a familiar Red headed woman is coming down. The moment Sora see's her he is frozen in place, with her doing the same. "Sora?!"
"Kairi." Sora coldly says before brushing her off and walking past her. Instead Kairi grabs him by the arm.
"Is that all you have to say to me!? Me and Riku…"
Uncharacteristically enraged, he ripped her hand off himself. "Abandoned me, Is that what you were going to say?" Kairi is stunned into silence, her mouth hanging open. He turns around after his outburst, an uncomfortable Jezabela following right behind.
Sora opens the door to Yen Sid's study, King Mickey along with him. "Oh, Sorry good to see you again!" Mickey greets excitedly as he Shakes his hand. He noticed Jezabela standing behind Sora. "Golly, I'm sorry I didn't notice you. My name is Mickey Mouse. A pleasure to meet you."
Jezabela shares a handshake with King Mickey, with a mutual smile. "The pleasure Is all mine! Jezabela Skellington!"
Yen Sid greets Jezabela with a polite nod. "Pleased to see you in person, young lady. I look forward to watching your talents blossom."
"Thank you Master Yen Sid, I hope I can live up to the potential you see in me." She takes a polite bow.
Sora looks down at Mickey with an uncomfortable face. "While I was in Halloween town, a figure came out of the Darkness to ask me to give you a message, your highness. He told me to tell you Ozzy says Hello!"
As soon as Sora relayed the Message both Yen Sid and Mickey are quite from shock. The old wizard almost jumps out of his chair. "Oswald is alive!?"
~Elsewhere~
Somewhere in the realm of darkness, A King in black armor sits atop a throne made of Keyblades from the Keyblade Graveyard. A Corridor of Darkness opens before him, out comes the Talking Heartless from Halloween town. The King's glowing Yellow eyes shine through his helmet. He reaches down to bestow a heart to her. "You may continue to Serve me!"
