Author's Note: To avoid confusion Teddy Lupin is alway referred to as "Teddy," and Ted Tonks is always, "Ted." Enjoy!

With in the blink of an eye, Teddy was in his grandmother's living room. Relief swept over him once he recognised the room. It had probably only taken him back a few hours, before he left for the Potters. Good, he thought, it didn't take me too far away.

He removed himself from the floor and sat down on the couch. He was rather exhausted, since it was about three in the morning when they went searching through Harry's closet.

Andromeda walked out of the kitchen and into the living room before stopping abruptly and staring at Teddy.

"Who are you," she asked sternly.

Ted was confused, "what do you mean? I'm your grandson."

"Wha-I don't have a grandson," she said. "You must have the wrong house."

"No, you're Andromeda Tonks, you're my grandmother," Teddy explained slowly. He began to notice differences on Andromeda; her hair was less grey, her face was less wrinkled, and the look of grief that always seemed to linger in her eyes wasn't there; she looked younger.

There was a sound of footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs, and a man Teddy had only seen in pictures entered the living room. It was his long deceased grandfather, Ted Tonks.

Oh shit, he thought, panicked.

Ted also stopped in front of his grandson before turning to his wife, "who's this?"

"He's telling me that he's our grandson," explained Andromeda, not removing her eyes from the boy in front of her.

Ted surveyed the boy before him, "we would know about that, right?"

"I would hope," Andromeda responded.

"She said she'll be around after work for dinner," said Ted. "We'll ask her then." Teddy felt as though he were going to faint.

Andromeda nodded, finally looking away from Teddy.

"What's your name, son," Ted asked calmly.

"Teddy."

Ted nodded, clearly taken aback. "Well, my wife made some shepherd's pie, you're welcome to come eat with us."

Teddy nodded, his gran had the best shepherd's pie. "Thank you."

The three of them sat in the kitchen, both Ted and Andromeda studying Teddy. He felt himself shrinking under their stares. Finally, the front door opened, and someone began walking towards the kitchen.

"Sorry," called a feminine voice from the living room, "I would have been here a lot sooner, but work was a bi- who's this?"

Teddy looked up to the door way to see a woman with light pink hair that barely reached her shoulders- his mother, who had been dead for longer than Teddy could remember. She stared down at him in curiosity.

"We hoped that you could tell us that," said Andromeda, looking at her daughter pointedly.

Tonks looked at her perplexed, "am I supposed to know or..."

"He showed up in our living room saying that he was our grandson," explained Andromeda.

"I'm fairly certain I would've remembered that," said Tonks.

"So he's not yours," said Ted with a sigh of relief.

"Are we really forgetting that I would've been- how old are you?"

"Eleven," responded Teddy.

"That I would've been like twelve," finished Tonks.

"Then who are you," Andromeda asked Teddy.

"I am your grandson," responded Teddy. "I had a mishap with a time turner and I ended up here. I was born in 1998, and I'm from 2009."

"Do you have any proof," asked Tonks.

"Erm," Teddy thought for a moment before removing the baseball cap that he was wearing, revealing his turquoise hair. He then grabbed the picture of him and his parents and placed it in the center of the table. The three adults surveyed it for a few moments.

The room was silent before Ted spoke again. "okay...so you were born about three years from now to-"

"Remus and Nymphadora Lupin," Teddy finished. Everyone in the room froze; the room's temperature seemed to drop significantly as if Teddy could expect to see his breath coming out of his mouth. Everyone was staring at him, so he looked back to his Mum; not to redirect their attention but to take in the fact that she was actually there.

She just looked back at him for a bit before speaking again, "okay...I'm starving, so we'll eat dinner, and then you and I will sort this out at my flat, erm..."

"Teddy," Teddy supplied.

"Teddy," she finished with a smile.

Dinner was incredibly awkward, no one seemed to know what to talk about, they just asked Teddy small questions.

"Have you gone to Hogwarts yet," asked Tonks.

"Yeah," Teddy responded, "I'm on Christmas holiday back in my time."

"What house are you in," asked Tonks.

"Hufflepuff," Teddy responded proudly. Tonks gave him a wide smile.

Following dinner, Ted placed his fork down on his plate, "alright, Teddy, when you went back in time, were you with anyone else?"

Teddy's heart sank. He was too over whelmed with meeting two of his dead relatives that he hadn't thought of the possibility of Victoire going back in time either. Where did she go? Was she even in 1995 or was she in a completely different year?

"Erm...my friend Vic was in the room with me when the time turner broke, but I don't know where she went. Do you think she didn't travel at all," Teddy asked, panicked.

"I don't know," said Tonks. "As far as I know, nothing like this has ever happened before? Were you here when the time Turner broke?"

Teddy shook his head, "no we were at my Godfather's house. He lives in southern England."

"That's rather strange, normally when you use a time turner you end up in the same place that you started," said Ted.

"I know," Teddy told his Grandfather, "that's why I'm really confused."

"Breaking the time turner definitely altered the way it worked, unless it was already corrupted then I don't know," said Tonks. "I think I have some books at my flat from Auror training on Time Turners. Why don't you come back with me, Teddy?"

Teddy nodded before standing up and walking over to his two Grandparents, "do you mind if I give you both a hug?" Ted nodded and opened his arms, and Teddy fell into his chest, hugging his Grandfather for the first and last time. He then turned to Andromeda and gave her a hug, it was familiar and comforting- something that he needed right now.

Teddy followed his Mum out of the back door and into the garden. She turned to him, "have you ever side-along apparated before?"

Teddy nodded, "a lot actually."

"Good," she said extending her hand towards his. He took it. "You won't puke all over my shoes then."
