Chapter 4: We'll meet Again.

Notes:

Hello everyone, this is based on a piece of fan art where Reagan and adult Dipper hook up so I decided to write a whole story/universe around it… I may bring Mabel into the mix with Brett at a later date but first some ground rules. 1). Reagan is in her early thirties like the show and Dipper is 19, 2). it is going to be a slow burn type fanfic. 3). it's not gonna be perfect but imma try so if there are Any OOC moments just know I am improving as I go along.

The howling wind, the crashing waves… this was what true adventure was all about.

Stanford pines heaved the main sail while his brother manned the steering wheel of their ship.

"they're right on top of us." Stanley Pines said spinning the wheel to evade a blast from below the sea.

"I know, give me a sec to calibrate my gun for undersea combat." Ford replied fiddling with his laser rifles settings and sight in order to better lock on to undersea targets.

Another laser blast shot up barely missing the Stan of war II. As Stanley expertly maneuvered the ship.

"Now Ford!" His voice carried over the storm overhead.

Stanford pointed his gun and followed the shadows. He estimated maybe 5… possible 6 vehicles. Nothing they couldn't handle. A blast from his gun shot down and a satisfying explosion followed… one down 4-5 to go.

The unknown enemies returned fire in mass while Stanley and Ford swerved. Ford leveled another shot and successful shot down another pursuer.

"what do they want from us!?" Stanford yelled over the cracking thunder.

"How the heck should I know? They just started shooting… maybe we entered their territory or something?" Stanley shot back dodging another blast with his expert ship skills.

"well we did come here to discover whether the rumors of the lost city of atlantis were real or not… I guess we got our answer." Ford fired another blast and grimaced when he saw that he had missed.

"for better or worse." Stanley replied as a shot skimmed the hull of the ship and directly hit the mast.

"shit! We're dead in the water!" Stanford screamed fire down to hit the atlanteans missing again. "Incoming!"

out of the water shot four fish shaped underwater speeders that submerged high. On top of the vehicles are two Atlanteans each for a total of eight. They wielded the typical weapons half with a tridents and the rest with fish nets.

"Look's we're doing this old school, eh Fordsy." Stanley said, a smile on his face as he jumped down from the steering wheel to stand back-to-back with his brother.

"seems so, Stanley." Ford nodded his head. "i'll shoot the guys with the nets, you keep those tridents at bay."

the atlanteans climbed onto the ship and the first pair arrived on deck.

Stanley nodded his head then rushed the first trident atlantean.

Ford aimed his pistol at the net atlantean as he tried to entrap Stan and fired hitting him square in the chest making the blue-skinned fish man fall forward, his body limp.

"Nice shooting Ford!" Stan exclaimed sidestepping a trident thrust and punching the atlantean in the jaw sending him reeling off the ship.

The the next set of atlanteans came up behind Ford as he reloaded his gun. They leveled their trident at Ford who immediately spun around and fired twice, hitting both atlanteans dead.

"Nice!" Stanley replied as he was wrapped in a net and tied up by a net atlantean supported by the last trident atlantean and the two other net atlanteans preparing for the other one.

"Return what you have stolen and face the judgement of atlants." The net atlantean called. "Or this one will be the first to die."

The trident atlantean pointed his weapon at the captured Stan.

"what are you talking about!? We haven't stolen anything! We were looking for your city for crying out loud!"

"Do not lie a number of holy artifacts were taken by creatures that serve the dark one and they were lead by this one." The atlantean indicating Stan.

"That's impossible Stanley's been with me this whole time. It has to be a shape changer or something… you are mistaken."

"we are atlanteans, we are never mistaken… now surrender or die." He shouted the storm winds picking up.

"I choose fish fry!" Ford exclaimed overloading his gun and firing rapidly. Over a hundred shots rung out and a quarter of them hit the atlantean soldiers killing them and sending them down the boat into the sea.

"woah, saving the day once again bro. I knew there was a reason I didn't leave you for fish food." Stan never changed even in the six years they had been adventuring. He still had the same sense of humor… in the face of life threatening danger.

"well, did you steal artifacts from atlantis?" Stanford asked arms crossed. He loved his brother but he knew him too well to rule out the possibility of him finding atlantis and stealing artifacts.

"Fordsy, if I had stolen them then where would I hide them. The ship isn't exactly bursting with cargo space." Stanley asked in his typical con man tone. This made Ford suspicious because it was such a believable lie that it could be mistaken for the truth.

"Uh huh, and are you sure you haven't been selling them to the smugglers we met back in havana… you did seem to walk away with a lot of their money." Ford remembered that day because Stanley told him they needed to go.

"I told ya, won them in a card game… admittedly with marked cards." Stan laughed at that.

"alright then, I guess we have a shape changer using your identity. I wonder who they meant by dark one?"

"who do you think, it's bill cipher… creepy little freak." Stanley growled as he walked toward the atlanteans and began kicking the bodies Ford shot off the boat. He then looked at the trident and picked it up.

Stanford then started the repairs on his gun. The rapid fire option shorted it out even though Ford had made countless upgrades to it over the past six years. "good thing he's dead, thanks to you."

"Yeah… thanks to me." Stanley's voice said right behind Ford was immediately followed by sharp pang in Ford's chest. He looked down and saw a trident sticking out of his chest. "St-Stanley… why." he turned his head watching as his own brother wore a crooked grin on his face.

"why do you think Fordsy." his voice distorted into a high-pitched voice which buried itself inside Ford's head.

"B-bill?" Ford was stupified as he tried to pull the trident out.

"In the flesh Fordsy, I told ya we'd meet again. He ha ha!" Bill gloated and lifted Ford with the trident and hung him over the sea.

"So you've been alive this whole time inside my brother."

"Yep, and let me tell you it took four whole years to break his mind so I can reshape it to my own devices… he is very bull-headed… hehe, I guess it runs in the family." Bill clenched his fists with a sadistic smile.

"what are you planning you damned fie-" the trident twisted inside Ford's stomach.

"there is no need to worry about that Fordsy, considering…" Bill jerked the trident out of Ford causing him to fall down in the water. "Bye Fordsy… I'll be sure to send your regards to pine tree."

Ford felt the cold sea take him as he sunk under the last thing he heard before he lost consciousness was the sick laugther of Bill cipher… returned and back for vengeance.
