In the Timbers bedroom/secret base of operations, Saraline was taking a nap after ranting to herself, hoping that when she wakes up, she could figure out what about her crush on her friendly, cautious, anxiety filled, brown haired teammate. Unknown that she was overheard by a certain spy.

In the dream, all Saraline could see was darkness.

"Hello?' the young genius asked into the void. "Is anyone here?"

As she looked around, a bright light suddenly flashed in her face, forcing her to cover her eyes.

After a few seconds, the light vanished, allowing the young girl to see.

What she saw caused her eyes to go wide and her face to turn as red as a beet.

It was Ansi, only this version was taller and muscular than the real world version.

"An-Ansi?" Saraline said with a stutter.

"Hello, Saraline." Ansi said with a deep voice. "I've noticed that you've been acting a little strange. Is there anything that I can do to help?"

Despite knowing what she needed to say, she didn't want to say it as she was afraid of the answer that Ansi might give him.

After a few seconds, the genius took a deep breath and responded.

"I like-No! I love you Ansi! I have for a while!"

The silence in the air was so uncomfortable that it could be cut with a knife.

Finally, after what seemed to be like an eternity, the muscular Ansi spoke.

"I'm sorry, Saraline but I don't love you." Ansi said, shattering the inventor's heart. "At least not in that way."

"But why?!" The genius shouted as tears began to appear in her eyes.

"Well, I'm still in love with Julie. A little." He said.

"Really, after that jerk dumped you!" She retorted, angrily, not at Ansi but at the fact that her friend's crush rejected him after he built up the courage to try and ask her out after being so nervous to do it.

"Yeah, so I'm sorry Saraline, but I can't love you like that when I still have feelings for another." He explained sincerely, not trying to hurt her emotionally as best as he could. "I hope you can understand and that we can still be friends.

Upon hearing that, it felt like the universe was collapsing in on itself as she fell backwards into a seemingly endless void.

Saraline woke up from her slumber with a gasp of shock as she instantly sat up with sweat dripping down the side of her face.

"Oh... it was... just dream?" She asked herself as she felt the side of her head feeling the bodily fluid flowing down the side of her face. "Whew, that was some dream. Or I guess, it was more of a nightmare." She sighed. "What am I going to do about this?"

Deciding to try and take her mind off of the dream about her crush, Saraline decided to search the Wayne through the camera system for any WP and take care of it herself since everyone else was currently busy.

As she was at the desk typing away at the keyboard, the events of her dream were still in her mind.

Sighing, she stopped her typing. "All I know is that I need to take care of this as soon as possible, otherwise it'll hinder my progress as a member of the team." The love-struck genius said to herself. "So, when I confess, I will just have to accept what his answer will be. I just hope that I will be able to accept it."

Letting out a shudder, the young genius decided to leave her room to hopefully get some fresh air... and hope beyond hope that she didn't run into her crush.

Sorry, I took too long to update this story. I was busy updating and writing chapters for the other stories. Short chapter, I know but I hope you enjoy regardless. See you next time.
