- I activated from my hand the field spell card "Temple of the Drakeepers" - In a few moments, the playing field was transformed into an immense temple whose style was a combination of Greek and Gothic. The room was quite large, there were three statues on each side and arranged in a row, of a dragon looking threatening, something resembling a "Drakeeper", sheltered by arches marked by strange symbols and supported by massive columns, all illuminated by an unnatural white light with some shades of crimson.

- Truly impressive - declared Ren in amazement, observing that place so ancient and solemn, and the other two could only agree.

- I just hope that's not all - commented the son of Kite - You know, I'm not one who is easily shocked -

- I had guessed that - replied the guardian with a smirk - But I can assure you that this can be anything but a random move. When I activate this card I can add a level 4 or lower "Drakeeper" monster from my deck to my hand, come to me, "Aenon, the pouring drakeeper"-

- "He's slowly garnishing his hand to expand his possibilities, I wonder if..." - observed the user of the "Space" monsters.

- Then I discover the face-down monster "Vayu, the impetuous drakeeper" -

A dragon of medium size and covered with emerald scales made its appearance, it was provided with strange golden ridges that extended all along the body of the creature, stopping its advancement until the tail, also provided with strange fin-like ornaments and ending with a sharp snow-colored tip. The claws of the paws were instead furrowed by a crimson line. From the torso started filamentous protuberances that opened like membranes, used for the flight (Lv:4/ Atk: 1800/ Def: 1200)

- Due to the effect of "Sanctuary of the Dracustods" it gains 500 attack points (1800 + 500 = 2300) But it won't be with us much longer -

- Here we go! I already know what he's going to do - exclaimed Shiyuki's friend and Isabel, sitting next to him, gave him a confused look

- I remove "Vayu, the impetuous drakeeper" from the field to special summon from my hand "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" -

A dragon even more mammoth than its predecessors made its triumphant appearance. It was completely clad in metallic black armor and crisscrossed with thin crimson lines that gave it a sinister appearance to say the least, while its eyes glowed with a flaming ruby. There was no doubt about it, that was one of the monsters that had once belonged to one of the legendary duelists (Lv:10/ Atk: 2800/ Def: 2400)

- I don't believe it, it's one of the legendary "Red Eyes"! - exclaimed euphorically the user of the "Burning Horror" monsters as he examined this beast, once a harbinger of battles against two other portentous rivals, that oozed pride and power from every pore, followed by the other two who looked with wonder at such a creature

- You know Shiyuki, this marvelous dragon represents the potential - declared the adversary raising a finger towards him - Exactly what I am trying to see in you, to understand if you will be able to face the threat that hangs over us -.

- You're not fooling me with this stuff - the boy replied - You're going around and around, but you still won't let me know what these apparently meaningless speeches mean. What threat are you talking about? -

- Patience, young Shiyuki, everything will be revealed to you once you beat me - replied the guardian - For now, suffice it to say that the attack of this beast is strengthened by the field spell card (2800 + 500 = 3300) And that's not all, having banished "Vayu" immediately activates its effect, that is, my opponent must discard a card at random from his hand, then I can add a monster "Drakeeper" level 4 or lower from my deck, I choose "Tama, the darting drakeeper". But the best is yet to come! Due to my "Temple", when a Dragon-type monster is banished, you suffer damage equal to the monster's level multiplied by 200, so a good 800 points of damage - (7200 - 800 = 6400)

- He has summoned a powerful monster, inflicted a lot of damage, caused a card to be discarded and increased his chances, all in one turn - commented the blondie.

- How do you think it will end? - asked the girl

- It's hard to say - he replied seriously - but I'm afraid that for Shiyuki things are starting to get bad, since his turn is not over yet -

- I then proceed to activate the spell card "Drakeeper Polymerizer" - Upon hearing the name of that card, the boy's eyes widened, having already guessed what the nature of such spell was - This is a really amazing card - began to explain the guardian - It allows me to shuffle the banished "Drakeeper" monsters in my deck and special summon a Fusion monster from my Extra Deck -

- What!? - exclaimed the two boys, with the exception of the owner of the "Cipher" monsters who was observing motionless and silent that surprising move.

- You are about to observe at work something that may not be suitable for ordinary and fragile minds - declared the guardian raising an arm upwards - I combine "Vayu, the impetuous drakeeper" and "Kehai, the volcanic drakeeper" both banished, that in this way are shuffled in my deck. The wind of victory and the fire of hope that keep the past come together to purify this sacred place! Fusion Summoning!Awaken, mighty guardian and reduce my enemies to ashes, Aeustus, the Blazing GreatDrakeeper! -

An explosion, or rather a blaze of exceptional intensity that emanated blue flames exploded on the ground, hitting the surroundings with a shock wave, forcing those present to cover their faces. From the vortex and from the smoking ash originated and raised high in the sky, emerged a quadrupedal figure with a menacing and ancient appearance. It was a pitch-black dragon, except for its back and the tip of its tail, which seemed to burn with blue flames. Its huge horns glowed in the moonlight, as did its sharp claws and fangs, which shone an almost pearly white. But most impressive were its eyes, which shone like two blue sapphires, something that brought to the minds of those present rather familiar monsters. The creature spread its broad blackish wings, emitting a grotesque roar that stratled poor Isabel (Lv: 8/ Atk: 2600/ Def: 2100)

- What a wonderful dragon - commented the "Burning Horror" user - Sorry, Shiyuki, but I suddenly have the urge to cheer for this man -

- Yeah... I wonder why - the boy replied sarcastically.

The guardian gave a satisfied smile, before speaking - Thanks to the effect of my field spell card, "Aeustus" gains 500 attack points (2600 + 500 = 3100). Its special power is activated: when it is Fusion Summoned, I can choose a monster on my opponent's terrain and destroy it, then you take damage equal to half the attack of the destroyed monster. Go, Blazing Force! - The dragon shot a bluish and incandescent jet towards "Tatzelwurm", reducing him to a pile of interstellar dust, as a result of that impact, some sparks flashed towards the duelist, inflicting a damage that made him jump back a few meters (2000: 2 = 1000) (6400 - 1000 = 5400)

- Shiyuki! - the girl shouted, standing up, but the blond held her by the arm - Calm down, Isabel. Shiyuki is fine - replied the young man as he saw his own son get up - Let's see if he can get out of this situation, since the worst is not over yet-.

- You are tenacious, I must admit that - declared the man, observing how the opponent returned to his position, still panting and with some scratches - But this will not save you. Having used this effect, my monster cannot declare an attack, but nothing prevents me from using another of its special powers: once per turn, I can banish a "Drakeeper" monster in my hand to banish a card in your hand. I banish "Aenon, the pouring drakeeper" -

- It looks bad - commented Ren

- It immediately activates its effect: if this card is banned, I gain 800 life points, then I can add from my deck to my hand a "Drakeeper" monster of level 4 or lower, I'd say that "Vayu, the impetuous drakeeper" is more than enough and since the monster has been banished, thanks to the field spell card, you suffer a damage of 800 points. (5400 - 800 = 4600)

- Quite an elaborate combination of cards - continued to analyze the blond boy.

- You don't know how much, young Kite - replied the guardian - I activate the spell card "Drakeeper Sacrifice" that allows me to banish a monster "Drakeeper" from my hand and to draw 2 cards from my hand, I banish "Vayu" -

- Not again - replied the young Ren, thinking about the strategy implemented a short while ago.

- By banishing this monster, you must discard the last card remaining in your hand, then I can add to my hand a "Drakeeper" monster of level 4 or lower, I choose "Aenon, the pouring drakeeper", in combo you activate the effect of "Temple", in this way you lose 800 life points (4600 - 800 = 3800)

- Damn it! - exclaimed the two-colored man, examining his completely empty hand.

- "Now it's a duel worthy of the name" - thought the "Cipher" duelist.

- Now I can activate the spell card "Drakeeper Synchronizer", which allows me to shuffle a tuner monster "Drakeeper" and a non-tuner monster both banished, in my deck in order to special summon a Synchro monster "GreatDrakeeper" from my Extra Deck -

- Impossible! - burst out the blue-haired one, followed by the two-colored guy and the sweet Isabel, while the blond one didn't utter any word about it

- You have no idea what it is - exclaimed the guardian with a grin - I tune the level 4 monster tuner "Aenon, the pouring drakeeper" and level 4 "Vayu, the impetuous drakeeper" that are thus shuffled in my deck (4+4 = 8) Now you will taste the fury of this frightening colossus! The winds of victory and the waters of life that keep the past unite to purify this place! Synchro Summoning! Arise, O mighty guardian and freeze with your violent storms my enemies, Glaciatus, the Icy GreatDrakeeper!

The wind began to blow and howl wildly, and what looked like a blizzard arose instantly, invading the field and preventing any kind of visibility, except for sounds, which took on a decidedly ghostly air. Suddenly, a thunderous roar tore through the air, revealing in all its might a quadrupedal dragon with an aquamarine coat. A light breeze surrounded this magnificent fair, making the many crystalline structures that adorned its mighty body shine. The tail, rather uniquely shaped, was jagged and covered in something resembling frost, while the horns, of the same color, seemed sharper than ever. In the act of roaring, the beast displayed long, sharp, pearly fangs that could have torn the poor opposing monster to shreds, spreading its wide wing membranes and dropping a thin trail of snowy flakes (Lv: 8/ Atk: 2800/ Def: 1900)

- He has summoned three frightening dragons in the same turn, he is definitely an extraordinary duelist - observed the blond boy, attracting the attention of the other two, who were now casting fleeting glances from both sides.

- Due to the effect of my card, it gains as many as 500 attack points (2800 + 500 = 3300). Its effect is triggered: when this card is Synchro Summoned, I can choose up to 3 spell/trap card zones and make them unusable. Sideral Storm! - The dragon spread its wings, projecting gusts of icy wind, covering the three designated zones with ice - Then I activate the quick spell card "Drakeeper Chalice" and choose "Aeustus" as the target, thanks to it it can attack twice during this Battle Phase, but its effects are negated -

- In this way, it can attack again, since due to its effect it was impossible to do so this turn, and twice. he managed to get around the problem, he's really great - declared the user of the "Burning Horror".

- Yeah... - replied the blondie

- Congratulations - said the user of the "Space" monsters - You used two methods of summon and you put me in a corner, you are exactly the opponent I was looking for, the one who would spur me to give my best. -

- I'm honored, but that won't save you from the wrath of my monsters! Battle, go "Aeustus", attack "Space Gigastar", Solar Flare! -

The majestic dragon emitted an intense jet of incandescent plasma that could incinerate instantly anything that came into contact with it, hurling it vehemently against the golden star, but on the face of the opponent was outlined a rather enigmatic smile

- I activate the trap card "Interstellar Gate" - the young two-toned man intervened - I can activate this card only if my opponent declares an attack on an face-up "Space" monster that I control, in this way I reduce by half the damage I am about to receive (3100 - 2000 = 1100) (1100: 2 =550) (3800 - 550 = 3250) Then I inflict damage to you equal to what I should have received entirely (5200 - 1100 = 4100) And I haven't told you the most important part yet, once the Damage Step is over, I take control of the attacking monster. Come to my side, "Aeustus, the Blazing GreatDrakeeper."

- Good move - commented the blondie.

- Go for it Shiyuki - the two companions incited him

- Tsk, you may have taken away a powerful ally from me, but that doesn't stop me from attacking with the other two and destroying you. "Glaciatus" attacks the monster on his field, Cryogenic Blizzard! -

The creature opened wide its wings and its mouth, unleashing a violent storm that went to swallow the adversary monster, hiding it from sight. Once it disappeared, it was a very unexpected sight: the dragon taken away from the guardian was still on the ground, unharmed, but the same could not be said for the opposing monsters, which instead lay motionless and unable to launch other offensives, since they had passed into a defensive position.

- What does this mean? - the user of the "Drakeeper" monsters asked incredulously.

- Well... - the boy began to explain - Before you could declare a second attack, I banished from my graveyard the card that you had previously made me discard and for this I am very grateful, because I could not have used its effect in other circumstances. It's the monster "Space Star - Magnetar" and as I explained before, its main effect is activated only when it's in the graveyard, and it allows me, during the opponent's Battle Phase, to ban it to change the battle position of all monsters on your field-

- In this way you have not only saved yourself from my offensive, but you have gained another turn, but you will not need it, because when my time comes, I will defeat you. -

- There is only one way to find out - commented the boy, scrutinizing him with an air of defiance. -

- Why he didn't use this move at the beginning of the Battle Phase? - Ren asked the blond boy

- Well, the answer seems rather obvious - replied the young man - If he had activated it, he couldn't have used his trap card and thus taken away a monster with such an effect, which will be immediately activated as soon as it is his turn. You haven't forgotten, right Ren? -

- Absolutely not. Once per turn that creature can destroy a monster and inflict to the opponent a damage equal to half of the attack of the destroyed monster. Look, it was quite easy to guess what he would do - replied the blue one, crossing his arms.

- If you're convinced - sarcasticly replied Kite, making Shiyuki's friend giggle

- That's all for now - declared the man - I place a blank card and end my turn -

- I can't wait to send you straight to the stars - declared the boy placing his hand on his deck - I draw from the deck! -
