Fandom hatred:
"Oh come on! There's no way I would've fallen for that!" Chase yelled at the computer screen
"What are you watching?" asked Rocky
"I'm not watching, I'm reading some of our fandom fictions" Chase replied
"Okay well why are you yelling at the screen like Rubble did at that seagull that stole his food?"
"I'm starting to feel like the writer Havochound has a grudge against me" Chase said angrily
"What makes you say that?" Rocky asked confusingly
Chase in response pulled up the fanfiction Monkey's paw on the screen
"I act like an idiot and die in the end for no good reason!" Chase growled in frustration
"Well it can't be that bad, I'll read it and see if it 's as bad as you say it is." Rocky said confidently
*Half an hour later*
"Okay I can see how you might be upset by that" Rocky said, now understanding the context
"Yeah, and the other thing that bothers me is the crazy old dog lady that makes me grab the paw that starts the whole mess. She was saying that the paw was *calling* me, leading to all bad things that happened in the story, why did she do it? What did I ever do to her?! and another thing-"
Chase was going to continue ranting, but was cut off by Rocky
"Why are you making such a big deal about the ending of a FICTIONAL story?" asked Rocky "Sure the monkey's paw is a bit dark, but if you don't like it then don't read it!"
"Because I've already read it and can never forget it! Also time and time again we've seen humans get upset over stuff that really isn't that big of a deal, who's to say dogs can't do the same" Chase replied angrily
"Well you've never really seemed like the complaining type in the series. Why now?" Rocky asked
"Because the person who writes these shorts read the monkey's paw, didn't like it, and this is a subtle way of complaining about it." Chase explained
"Is that a fourth wall break? Those aren't allowed!" An unknown voice said
"Shut up!" Both Chase and Rocky yelled
"Wait a minute, how do you know that?" Asked Rocky couriously
"A few hours ago a voice in my head told me to say those exact words" Chase replied
"Huh, well ok." Rocky replied mildly confused
"Also what was the voice talking about with a fourth wall break? What even is that?" Chase asked
"Well not a single wall in here appears to have broken, let alone 4 of them, so I think it's just one of those sayings" Rocky replied
"Oh well, I think I've been on the computer for too long. Want to go outside with the others and play ball?" Chase asked
"Sure!" Replied Rocky
The two pups went to go find the others so they could go play ball
Trial of Humdinger:
Exposition… After the events of PAW Patrol: The Movie, Humdinger is put on trial for all the charges Chase accuses him of. It looks like Humdinger is going to jail, but he has a lawyer! Well… two lawyers technically, but they don't even make one lawyer put together.
This concludes the exposition segment of this program. Now, back to the real world.
"COURT IS NOW IN SESSION!" a Judge said before striking his gavel
"The case is that of Mayor Humdinger vs the PAW PATROL and Adventure City. The charges against the mayor are gross negligence, public endangerment, and dognapping."
"Don't worry sir, I know exactly how to win this case." Butch said confidently
"You better, or your pay is gone" Humdinger whispered
"Call the first witness up!" Butch commanded "Bring in guard Rueben!"
Reuben walked up to the witness stand and as he passed by, Humdinger spoke to him.
"Deny everything Reuben, deny absolutely everything." Humdinger ordered
Reuben only responded with a thumbs up
Once he was on the stand, Butch began questioning Reuben
"Are you guard Reuben?" Butch asked
"No!" Reuben said loudly
"Um ok, but you were one of Mayor Humdinger's guards."
"No!"
Humdinger banged his head against the table in response
*about an hour of prosecution later*
"As you can see, people of the court…" Reuben explained while reading from a paper "you have heard all the evidence and it is up to the conscience of your minds to see that Humdinger is utterly and totally… Guilty-"
Reuben sat down next to Humdinger proudly
Humdinger casually flipped over the paper Reuben was holding
"-OF NOTHING MORE, THAN TRYING TO PERFORM HIS DUTIES UNDER EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES" Reuben quickly got up and yelled
"This is going to be a piece of cake" Chase said as he and the rest of the pups looked in from the windows
"I still don't understand why the no dogs allowed rule should apply to us." Rubble complained
"Well we aren't service dogs, so it only seems fair" argued Marshall
"I know… but still, we are witnesses so we should be in there!" Rubble continued
"It doesn't matter, basically every citizen of adventure bay knows what Humdinger did. I don't think they need us to confirm that" Chase explained
"SHH! The judge is giving his final statement" Skye yipped
All the pups immediately went quiet
"Humdinger I find you guilty of all charges, you are sentenced to 70 hours of community service." The judge announced
All the pups barked and cheered in celebration
