A/N: I don't own TVD Or TO.
Warning: Mikael Mikaelson bashing.
"I've been planning my father's funeral for a thousand years, granted in no version were these people invited, but you get the idea." was the first Rebekah heard when she entered the Lockwood manor.
"So what now? Stop running?" Stefan asked.
"Now- I reunite my family." Klaus glanced towards Rebekah's direction and she held her finger up to her lips. Klaus nodded, small enough for Stefan to not notice, but Rebekah did.
"You mean the people you cart around caskets?"
"None of that matters anymore. Bygones are bygones." He looked around and saw the homecoming queen, "Seems like the homecoming queen is still alive, which leads me to believe Rebekah is not here. Where is she?"
"I don't know." Stefan replied.
"Oh, be honest now Stefan. Where is my sister?"
"I hope I'm not too late." she appeared beside Klaus.
Klaus smiled, "Never, Bex." he wrapped an arm around.
Stefan's eyes flickered to her, "Should I take you to your father?"
"Of course. What will the party be without the guest of honor!" Klaus chuckled.
"And perhaps… I can be free from your compulsion." Stefan suggested.
"Of course. You can have it after he and his weapon are destroyed."
"Oh, but, of course," Rebekah interrupted, catching Stefan's eye, "don't tell anyone I'm here, can't ruin the surprise, now, can we?"
After Stefan left, Rebekah hugged her brother, "God's, I missed you so much!"
"Me too, Bex, me too."
Later, after Klaus talked to Tyler, the two originals walked up to Elena.
"Where's your date?"
"Getting me a drink." Katherine, who was pretending to be Elena, responded.
Rebekah tilted her head, did the Scooby-Doo gang really think that they couldn't tell the difference between the doppelgängers?
Klaus glanced at Rebekah, who nodded, confirming his suspicions. Katherine and Elena's scents were different. The siblings knew Katerina Petrova's scent, and it was a pity that Katherine didn't know how different her scent was from her doppelgänger's.
Though, what really confirmed it, was her lack of reaction from seeing Rebekah alive.
"So, it seems like we have you to thank for our father's demise, I assume." Klaus decided to play along.
"He came at me. I didn't have a choice."
"It's not easy for a human to dagger an original." Rebekah spoke up.
"Not the first time." came the brunette's reply.
"Right. Elijah." Klaus nodded.
Rebekah saw the hate in Katherine's eyes when they mentioned Elijah being daggered. So she really did love him. Of course, Rebekah held no doubt about that. After all, instead of giving the cure to Klaus for her freedom, she gave it to Elijah when he asked her for it.
"You seem nervous." the blonde noticed.
"I'm not nervous. I just don't like you," her gaze flickered to Rebekah, "both of you."
"Let's get straight to the point, then, shall we? People have been after me for a 1000 years. And I'm always one step ahead. So whatever you're thinking, it's not going to work. Go on, give it your best shot. You won't succeed now, and you won't succeed ever."
"You have a visitor." Mindy, one of the hybrids, told them.
"Well, tell my visitor I don't have time for them."
"He said his name is Mikael." Mindy insisted, clearly compelled.
Klaus and Rebekah exchanged a look. So their father was finally here.
"Then we mustn't keep him waiting, shall we? Move everyone to the back. We're going to have a little chat with our father. Tony, you know what to do."
Klaus and Rebekah walked to the front door. They stopped at the site of their father.
"Niklaus, Rebekah." Mikael greeted them like he hadn't tried to kill them for a thousand years. Rebekah tightened her grip on Nik's hand.
"Hello father. Why don't you come in?" she stared at her father, "Oh, I forgot. You can't." Klaus roasted Mikael.
"Or you can come outside." came the reply.
"Or I can watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb, to pieces." her brother fired back.
"They can't kill me."
"No, but it'll be fun to watch and it'll make a hell of a party game. All I have to do is command them." Klaus grinned bloodthirsty.
"The big bad wolf. You still haven't changed. Always hiding behind your playthings." Mikael looked at her, "And you. Always clinging to your brother."
"I will always stand beside my siblings. I'd rather die than be at your side."
The Destroyer turned back to Klaus, "You forget. They may be sired to you but they are still part vampire. And that means they can be compelled by me."
Mindy walked forward, holding Katherine in her hands, and pushed her to Mikael as the brunette tried to escape.
"Come out and face me, Niklaus. And she won't have to die." neither of the Originals moved.
"Go ahead. Kill her."
"No, please Klaus." Katherine tried to beg but it was of no use, "He'll do it."
"If she dies, then this lot will be the last of your abominations." Mikael sneered, tightening his grip on the doppelgänger.
"I don't need them." her brother told her father, "All I need is to get rid of you."
"To what end? So you can live forever with no one beside you? Nobody has cared about you, and nobody will, boy."
"Oh, but you forgot something, father. Despite everything, we will always be with Nik. Forever." Rebekah hissed at him.
"I'm calling your bluff father. Kill her."
"Come outside and I won't have to, you little coward." Mikael seethed.
"All my life you have underestimated me. Now go ahead and kill the last leverage you have over me. Go ahead. Come on, old man. Kill her!"
Mikael laughed, "Your impulse, Niklaus. It has and always will be the one thing that will keep you from truly being great." and with that, he drove the dagger through Katherine's side and pulled it out, watching her collapse.
Rebekah heard Damon rushing up behind Klaus, aiming for his heart, but at the last moment, she and Stefan stopped him together. She grabbed the stake from him and snapped his arm. She threw the stake at Klaus, who looked at her with wide eyes.
"Kill father!" she whispered to him.
Katherine stood up from the floor as Rebekah turned around after snapping Damon's neck.
"Kaboom!" the doppelgänger shouted before throwing two wolfsbane grenades at the hybrids.
Klaus took the chance as Mikael let down his guard, to stab their father with the stake in the heart. Rebekah sped to him and pulled him back from their father's burning corpse, wrapping her arms around him.
She turned around just in time to see Stefan pick his brother up and he mouthed a 'Thank you' to her. She nodded, knowing that it was for snapping Damon's neck so that he wouldn't do something stupid that would get him killed.
Klaus walked towards Stefan, and the younger Salvatore stepped in front of his brother.
"As much as I'd like to kill Damon, I will spare him because you were like my brother Stefan. And I don't want to see you unhappy." Klaus told the younger vampire who had a relieved look on face.
"You are free from my compulsion." Klaus uncompelled him, "And maybe someday, we can be brothers again." he murmured to Stefan.
"Someday." Stefan replied.
He had a hesitant look on his face that told Rebekah that, somewhere in the ripper's heart, he still loved them. She smiled at him, and to her surprise, he reciprocated the gesture. And with that, he left with his brother.
Rebekah turned to her brother, "His heart is just in the wrong place. He is nothing like the Stefan in my timeline." she whispered.
"But still, did you move them?" she asked.
"Of course. I trust you."
"Well then. It is time for the Mikaelsons to awaken again!"
"You know, you sound like a villain giving their evil monologue."
"Nik…"
"Yeah?"
"Shut up!"
