Klaus Mikaelson took one final look at the Trondheim Fjord, his purpose of coming to Norway was done. He had gathered Norwegian soil, and he already had Mikael's ashes, now all they needed was to bring Esther back to life.

"You done?" Came the voice of Freya, who had decided to accompany him.

"Yeah. Just trying to memorize this moment." He answered as he walked towards her.

"It's beautiful!" Freya murmured as they both sat in the car.

He smiled at her clear awe. Even though he didn't trust her because of his paranoia at first, (not that he still did, just a teeny tiny bit) but she was still his sister. And to him, his siblings were the whole world, and they would always be.

He started the car, and both of them left the fjord in the dust.

One night before at Mikaelson Manor

Finn sat down with a glass of wine. What Rebekah had just told him had shocked him a lot.

(Though he shouldn't be so surprised)

"Let me rephrase this. Nik had a child?!"

(It is Nik, after all)

Rebekah rolled her eyes, "Yes, for the third time."

"Explain. Now." He ordered her.

"A few days after Elena transitioned into a vampire, a werewolf friend of Tyler Lockwood came to town. Her name was Hayley Marshall." She felt a bit nostalgic, remembering her best friend.

Finn took a swig of his drink, "You didn't tell us about her." He stated.

"I didn't want Nik to stop the meeting. A few days later, when Damon and I were searching for the cure, she slept with him." She shuddered in disgust.

"Continue." He was starting to feel exasperated, his brother always managed to get himself into trouble.

"Nik going to New Orleans? That wasn't a coincidence. After Hayley left Nik, she went to NOLA, where she met Sophie and Jane-Anne Deveraux. They kidnapped her and linked Sophie to her. So if Deveraux got hurt, so would Hayley. Elijah came to help our brother kill the Deverauxs, who had rumors spread until Katerina sent Nik a letter about the witches." She stopped and smiled as a memory resurfaced.

"After convincing our hybrid brother to take care of the child, they took Hayley to their temporary home, and Nik as usual daggered 'Lijah. After not hearing from Elijah for a few days, I went to Nik."

Finn listened as his feelings churned in his stomach. Surprise, relief, and happiness.

(And a bit of jealousy)

"Hayley then went out and tried to kill the child because Nik had only shown that he felt that the child was a burden."

If Finn was surprised, he didn't show it.

"She was attacked by vampires before she could drink wolfsbane and I rescued her. Sophie sent a witch to keep an eye on her, and the witch predicted it was a girl. Then, a witch named Agnes scheduled a meeting with a gynecologist in the bayou. Hayley went there and was attacked by witches. I rescued her, again." She smirked at the last part a bit.

(Though she would die for her best friend)

He smiled a bit, thinking about his future niece. Though, he would make sure that she wouldn't have a temper like her father.

Rebekah took a deep breath, before she continued, "Agnes, the last remaining elder, stabbed Sophie with the Needle of Sorrow." She stopped at seeing the look her elder brother was sporting.

Finn had a look of anger that promised pain. He gritted his teeth and forced himself to calm down.

"I assume from your use of tense, Hayley and Hope survived. Because then, there would be no reason for Klaus to redeem himself and kill himself." He muttered.

"Yes. Long story short, Hope was mind-controlled by the Hollow after Hayley single-handedly rescued our family. Kol, Nik, 'Lijah and I took it. After about eight years, Hope kidnapped Hayley so that Nik would come home." She rolled her eyes at her brother's dramatics, he should have just talked with Hope about what she saw.

Finn frowned, "But Nik would've talked or written letters to her."

"He did. But Hope wanted to see her dad, so she astral projected herself, right when he had finished slaughtering a bunch of people." She winced at that.

Finn, despite himself, looked a bit nauseous at the thought of a young child seeing her father like that.

"So Nik cut all communication."

(That is so like his brother)

"A vampire who also went to Hope's school, his mother wanted to kill Nik, Hope, and Hayley. So the kid used Hope's crush on him and saw where she hid Hayley's body. He kidnapped Hayley, which led to a chain of events that triggered her death." She finished.

"So you want to save her?"

"Yes." The blonde answered.

"Tell me what to do."

Back to the present

Katherine sat down on the couch in the Mikaelson living room. She was here to take help from Kol to locate her daughter or, at least, what would be left of her. How could she even be sure that her baby that was born 500 years before had been turned into a vampire?

"Good to see you, Kath." A voice came from behind her, shaking her out of her stupor and thoughts.

"Kol. I heard you have something that I want."

The brunette nodded, "Yup. C'mon!" He said.

As he led the way, she couldn't help but doubt. She finally could meet her daughter and have the perfect life she wanted. That was just a fantasy that she was cooking up. But hopefully, her child would have had a happy life.

They finally reached Sage's room where she was examining a few pictures. The redhead looked up when she heard footsteps and smiled at the sight in front of her. It was her brother-in-law and their ally.

"Hey. I suppose you're here to ask for help." She said, standing up.

"Yeah. Do you have anything of importance?" Katherine asked.

"No, but we have a lead." And with that, Katherine's hopes were lifted.
